Cobblestone Farm: what do users think?
Shane Daniel: Great for kids to play ~ a community garden and lots of paths to run/walk....
Claire Eder: We had the good fortune of booking our wedding at Cobblestone in early March 2020, right before everything went nuts. We delayed the wedding by a year, from spring 2021 to spring 2022, and Cobblestone was very accommodating of our new date. Connor was incredibly helpful in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, while they were trying to figure out how to host events safely, and guidelines were shifting due to COVID levels. They kept us in the loop about their COVID restrictions and helped us plan a safe, fun day at their spectacular venue! The outdoor space was lovely, welcoming, and unpretentious, with so many unique spots to hold the ceremony, take pictures, and set up an outdoor happy hour. And our guests got a kick out of the geese :) The barn is absolutely perfect for a wedding--it has the rustic charm of a barn but it's totally modern in terms of amenities. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and they really went above and beyond to help us plan our day. As someone who grew up in the neighborhood and spent time at Cobblestone when I was a kid, I'm so glad we got married at this beautiful gem of local history.
Juan Crespo: We had an event scheduled in October 2021 that we had booked since April 2020. Once capacity restrictions were lifted in Michigan, we called and asked if everything was good to go for our event, but after many unanswered phone calls and emails, we got very wishy-washy responses and it sounded like they might still cancel our event. We booked a backup venue after that conversation, and I'm glad we did. Less than 2 months before our reception, they canceled all events for the rest of 2021. While we got a full refund, the staff was extremely unsupportive and lacked proper communication. I could have understood a vaccine/testing policy for their events as we know the current situation is no joke, but to completely cancel on such short notice was short-sighted on their part and left many people scrambling.
Barb McCarter: The staff at Cobblestone Farms are the absolute worst people in the world to deal with for this life changing event. My daughter’s wedding was scheduled for 9/11/2021. On 8/23/2021, they sent an email implementing new very strict covid protocols that pushed my daughter and her future husband to change EVERY EVENT DETAIL to have the event take place outside. Just 4 days later, on 8/27/2021 they received a second email, CANCELLING the entire event. Cobblestone personnel CANCELLED their wedding after the details to move everything outdoors had been successfully changed, just 15 days before their wedding date of 9/11/2021.Not only did they cancel the event 15 days before it was scheduled to happen, they did it by email on a Friday just before 5pm. No phone call, and at best a pathetic explanation as to why they felt justified to do so. The people that work at Cobblestone are selfish, unprofessional, and should not be employed at such a venue if they care so little for the community or customers they are serving. If you are thinking about having a wedding or event at an outdoor site in the Ann Arbor area, look anywhere else as Cobblestone Farm is a nightmare to deal with.
Mike Mourer: Moved 5 of our goats to Cobblestone Farm to clean up some brush behind the barn.
Emily Freeland: Such a cute quiet spot to walk.
Stephanie Dulz: Jessica Black from cobblestone is an angel. During our wedding planning process she was quick to respond even though you could tell she had a large workload. She was a joy to talk to and very knowledgeable. The facility is gorgeous. If you’re a DIY bride this is the perfect place because it is a blank slate venue. No other services aside from tabled, chairs, and the venue are offered but that was a plus for us. Unfortunate, they did have to cancel our wedding due to COVID but we received every penny back including our deposit without questions. I would recommend this place 100%
Joshua Polaczyk: Got married there in 2012. A beautiful spot for a moderately sized wedding/reception. There are a lot of rules about noise, crowd size and timing of use. But it’s Beautiful inside and out, and a great place to get married in the heart of the city.
Clayton Blackwell: Very nice grounds!
Bruce Geffen: Great place with historic importance!
John Perrotta: Loved the barn and all the staff were vary professionally and polite. I would highly recommend planning an event here.
Chawn Aray: Two events. Two different events. Two different caterers. I took 2 photos. It didn't matter how hungry I was. The money and wealth in the room must have been shocked about the cuisine. Presentation - awful. Temperature of food - Cold. Poor carrots, too bland. I felt so sorry for them. One of the servers was so angry. I knew I had to send her good vibes. OMG! I wonder how much this caterer was paid to feed over 200+ folks???
Rowan Higgins: Cool
Jeffrey Harvey (Studio Tembo): Fine event space
Tim Govier: Very nice venue. Attended my grandson's wedding here.
Riley Lulich: Beautiful venue, helpful staff, easy access to the space. There's a nice kitchen to cook in, a bit small if you have a full team going, but perfect for a small/med event. I was here for a wedding and it was delightful.
Thomas Driver: Went to a wedding reception there very nice place
Jeremy Duford: Attending a wedding of a close friend at this location. A pale white male employee with hair dyed blue was caught multiple times going through people's belongings in the groom and groomsmen's personal changing room.
Gary Trowbridge: Beautiful site for any occasion. Was there for a memorial service of a lost friend. We like it a lot and host several occasions a year there.
Kimberley Iannelli: We were there for my daughter's best friends wedding and it was perfect! Everything was clean and we had a great time the staff stayed on top of things as needed, like he stocked the ladies room when it ran out of tp and was very nice to me when I asked him if he could. Thanks so much!
Christopher Maassen: Great place for you special events.

Teacup Wedding: what do users think?
Moneak Burrell: I was married there in March 2015. Very private and organized. No witnesses are allowed to stand before you. All vows are shared between the wedding couple only. It was an additional $100 to bring 4 people. It helped out with photographs. There are a few negative reviews. However, the requirements to get married at the chapel are thoroughly discussed prior to the wedding day.No one is allowed to wait in the parking lot or nearby businesses until you exit. It’s a private and quiet location. If you’re looking to marry the person God sent, then don’t allow the negativity stand in your way.Beautiful and peaceful place to get married. Best Wishes
Jeni Ogle: Due to the negative comments and how they were handled I wouldn’t even think of getting married here. To have reviews that are negitive and respond so unprofessionally proves what type of business this is.
Karen Smith: sites I found inviting reviews of this business, not "many," which is just silly; nor have I posted reviews under other names. We are an ordinary Ann Arbor couple who had sought to be married by this business; our reservation was "accepted" via their online-process and "confirmed" by email. However, I had questions (primarily the wrong couples' name was on the payment form, but also some inconsequential questions about the service itself
Kelly Gauthier: Great place for a small intimate wedding. Paula was absolutely wonderful and accommodating
Edward Belles: Yea tea cups ♡
Arianna Woznak: I got married at Teacup Wedding in 2010 and hoped to renew my vows there in a couple years. The package offered is different, but I was still surprised to read any negative reviews.Karla was professional, friendly and walked us through the whole process--and even took pictures with and for us after the ceremony. She had a wonderful energy around her and I never felt like she was judging my children. The package is very precise and if you follow the package contracts as written, you will have no problems. I cannot imagine agreeing to a set amount of guests and then assuming I could sneak 1-2 more in on the day of the wedding. It is very clear on the website what the rules are.We wanted a small zen wedding (this is no longer available) and it was a unique and positive experience. No complaints here!
Sarah Morton: A wonderful, intimate wedding experience. My husband and I could not have been more pleased with our ceremony and the customer service we received. I would recommend this venue to any couple looking for a small wedding service.
Donald Buning: Based soley on these reviews I will not be choosing this location. I am looming for a family friendly venue and based on the large amount of reviews they are not fond of children. You don't hear the same thing several times and believe its not true. I also do not like how argumentative the owner seems to be. There are no apologies just arguing back and pointing the finger at the customer. This leaves me with a bad feeling about this place and I will be staying far from this place
Arissa Nicole: Me and my husband got married here. It was everything that we wanted-simple but beautiful! Very orangized and stress free. Would recommend to anyone who isn't looking for a big wedding!!
Josh Keyes: Got married here and it was nice enough. We wanted small and not showy and that's what it was.
John Coleman: Rude, discourteous - more like a funeral home than a Chapel. Seemed to really dislike the fact that two men were getting married - gave a really bad impression. The first thing the officiant did is bring up the contract in front of us - and point out violations that we had two children there - aged only 13 and 14 - and she forced them to be alone in the parking lot and would not allow them to be inside. At first, she wanted them to be OFF SITE - meaning they had to leave the parking lot and stand across the street in the ROAD with traffic. How horrible is this??? We had to convince her to let them stay ALONE in the parking lot in the car.
Dana Kaczmarek: They suck we wanted to get married there, never returned our calls, calls went straight to voice mail. So we drove out there. And still nothing so all i can say is bad business would never recommend to anyone .
Bird Williams: Beautiful setting. Prompt, courteous, and thorough customer service. The officiant was excellent and performed a thoughtful, meaningful service. Teacup Weddings is the way to go if you want a hassle-free wedding that far exceeds what you can expect from an elopement with a justice of the peace. I highly recommend them.
Kate O: My husband and I were married here on New Years Eve 12/31/14 and are very pleased with our experience overall. We only had eight people in attendance, including ourselves, and appreciated how clear the expectations were for our group. Get in, get married, and get on with your day.
Joshua Day: This place is a gem. I was so impressed by this place when I photographed other weddings here, I chose to get married here myself! If I could post photographs here in this review, you'd see how amazing our little wedding was. This is so much easier than making an appointment with the judge and was less money than Wayne county court charges. Anyone who wants to get married in a very pretty place without paying an arm and a leg should check them out. Highly recommend!
Mikaila Lewis: This is a very nice place to be married. I did my research and I found them to be the most professional, and reasonably priced place of this kind anywhere in the area. Email was very prompt and phone calls were answered (except for one time when a ceremony was taking place - and they returned my call very shortly after I left my voice message). We only paid $250 for a Saturday afternoon. This place is pretty and fairly priced (dare I say cheap). The schedule was way better than the justice of the peace and court. Both of our parents and grandparents were with us which the court wouldn't allow (only two witnesses), I highly advise anyone looking to be married on short-notice or with only a few people in attendance to contact Teacup Wedding - Elope Michigan.
Jen Scott: Not happy. My fiance and I stupidly booked this in haste. Had to cancel due to bad circumstances, since there isn't a phone number listed on the website I had to send an email. It's been a week and I still have yet to get a response. They are very rude, very short when answering questions. Save yourself the hassle and just go the justice of the peace route. They make you agree to rules about bringing children (No matter what age) it's just ridiculous. NOT very customer oriented...Just RUN AWAY from this placeWe are now disputing the charges on our credit card
James Kaufman: We renewed our vows on our 10th anniversary. Karla Groesbeck was available even though it was during the week - Thursday. Everything was very well done and exactly what we wanted. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to have a professionalexperience that they can be proud of, especially in front of their family and friends. In fact my cousin and his girlfriend who were at my vow renewal had her marry them too. She is really good at what she does and really easy to plan with.
Jacqueline Perry: We had an excellent experience when we were married here. It is a perfect place for a small wedding. All aspects of the services were exactly as described on their website. Very reasonably priced. Very professional service of the legal documents - marriage license. Easy to work with and friendly. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to be married without extensive wedding planning.____________When we came here to write our review and saw the review below by Travis Ehinger we were surprised that his experience could be drastically different than ours. We googled his name and quick look at online public records show that: Travis and Sarah Ehinger were married on March 27, 2010 and his review was written almost 3 yrs later and that one week before posting this review he filed bankruptcy for 123,311.95 of misc. debt"journal gazette 11-25-12. Bankruptcy filing: Travis M. Ehinger, Fort Wayne, IN. Debt: 123,311.95. Assets: 2, 715"Looks like he's trying to dismiss his debts by claiming dissatisfaction (almost 3 years later) with a purchased service. Looks like his bankruptcy why he's so critical of this purchase that he wants to write off. His review as a whole was unbelievable based on our experience. He says that they "arrived early" and had a short wait and that "it was hot out and my wife was already in her dress and makeup, mind you ... so were the guests". Again a quick search of the temperature in Ann Arbor for his wedding date March 27, 2010 reports the high 48.9/low 33 degrees on this date. Hard to imagine getting "hot" during a short wait outdoors when they "arrived early". Travis Ehinger also noted that they asked "...if we could have one extra. I was told we couldn't". When we chose our wedding package, for our expected number attending, and later discovered that several people wanted to bring a guest, we called and upgraded to the next package with no problems. They were kind to our children and clear about our arrival time, and again, overall we had an excellent experience.I felt compelled to add this information to my review in fairness to this business that was everything that we could have asked for and more.
Nicole Smith: Karla was so helpful, kind, appropriate, and yet, fun. My entire family felt so comfortable and truly had an enjoyable time. What a wonderful opportunity to have a wedding that was "different" and not the "same ol'" wedding experience that can not only be stressful, but borders on "stuffy"! We got married in a garden amidst the song of bluebirds! Beautiful bright bluebirds! And, right when Karla pronounced "husband and wife" a butterfly flew by right in front of us! Karla didn't read from a "book" she shared the ceremony from her wisdom of the heart...and while it had traditional components, the words were rich and magically, simply suitiing us personally. While I would love to keep this place my special "secret", I have to share the love. I will be coming back for a vow renewal!!!
Travis E: I married my wife here in 2010, we searched for a place that was an all inclusive small scale type of wedding. We were only allowed a certain amount of people (I don;t recall what that amount was), but I remember asking her if we could have one extra. I was told we couldn't. This should have been my first clue. Anyways, we got to the wedding location 15 minutes early, thinking this would be preferrable, and the door was locked. The owner told us she wasn't quite ready and she'd let us in to go over things shortly. It was hot out and my wife was already in her dress and makeup, mind you...so were the guests. After we got in and our guests arrived, she quickly went over the process, this whole time seeming quite aggravated by the 4 children under 10 that were there. The wedding itself went as expected, but after it was over she pretty much pushed us out the door. It was almost surreal to us, because the instant my wife and I walked outside (we were the last ones out the door), we heard her lock the door immediatly. It seemed to us that this lady just wants to make her money and get you to leave. This is not the place to go for a couple looking to share an experience with family...it's meant as a place to elope, or get married on very short notice with very few guests.

Zingerman's Greyline: what do users think?
Jim Robertson: Great venue for corporate events.
Bob Stefanski: Perfect venue for a party of 50-100+. Well laid out space and really terrific staff. Excellent sound system, everything you need to celebrate.
Christopher White: Meh.Not great, not horrible.Definitely does not live up to the Zingerman's name.Pros:Great location,Pleasant decorCons:Food was creative but subpar execution (other than the salad),Staff seemed annoyed, inexperienced at food service and ready to get out of there,Left there feeling like if I never went there again that would be fine.Could've been an off evening, but I wouldn't use them.
Top Notch Balloon Creations: Beautiful upscale venue with a staff to equally matches the vibe.
Brooke Squair: Great drink options and friendly staff. Beautiful venue.
Adriana Cedeno: Have your wedding here! As a guest who attended a wedding here I recommend.
Anne Baird: Our wedding reception was handled perfectly from the set up to the serving to the fantastic food. I cannot say enough about our event coordinator, Bryan, who worked with us for months to come up with the menu and room layout, and during the event to coordinate everything so that it turned out the way we expected.
Valerie Micol: If I could give 5 million stars, I would! I cannot say enough about how wonderful Zingerman's Greyline and catering are! We were originally supposed to have our wedding in April 2020, but the universe had other plans! Thankfully, the staff at Zingerman's were able to work with us to postpone to a later date. It finally happened May 2022, and I will say, it was even BETTER than I dreamed it would be after four years of engagement and two years of postponement. First, we worked closely with Bryan and Terra. These folks are absolutely amazing! You cannot get better than the customer service from Zingerman's! Both Bryan and Terra were knowledgeable, helpful, thoughtful, and just so incredibly kind! It was not surprising then when the wedding day came and the rest of the staff were also so wonderful. It felt as if they all were there to make our day special and genuinely tried to make sure we had a wonderful time.Aside from the amazing customer service, the food was the best food I've ever had at a wedding, and many of our guests remarked the same. I loved how many options there were and how we were able to customize some things as well. We highly recommend the savory puffs and latkes for appetizers, the marinated beef and roasted potatoes for dinner, and the sliders and mac n cheese bar for the late night snack! We opted to go with individual fruit tarts for dessert, which is something that wasn't on the catering menu, but is something that the bakehouse made. Of course, they were delicious and so beautiful. Everything was truly amazing! Finally, the space itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the alcohol selection was top-notch! We loved how there really wasn't much decorating that needed to be done. The beers were mostly Michigan beer, which was also very important to us.We wouldn't have wanted to have our wedding anywhere else. Thank you, Zingerman's, from the bottom of our hearts, for making our special day so very special! We will be recommending Zingerman's catering to everyone we know and using it for all of our special occasions in the future!
Jim Gibbons: Fine place to have a function with a great staff and tasty food. I attended an auction for the Ann Arbor Art Center. Very successful.
Emily Murphy: I want to throw every party at Greyline. The venue has a neat vibe that requires no decorating, and with Zingerman’s providing the food, you know it’s going to be good. Terra was fabulous to work with, incredibly accommodating with down-to-the-minute changes due to Covid, and went absolutely above-and-beyond (I will never forget her tracking down and picking up a keg of the most popular beer when it ran out early in the reception).
Nick Legitt: Great temperature. Great food. Great drinks. I like the sliding front door.
Katherine Ernsting: Great place to have an event!
Laura Wade: I got vaccinated there and the place is nice
Katie DaCosta: We came here for a tasting for Zingerman's catering and the event space is very clean, modern, and a great layout. The food, of course, was amazing!
Jordan Scott: Fantastic event space. So cool having it integrated with the hotel.
Vazir Fatehi: Went for an office end-of-the-year/holiday party and had a good time. The entrees were previously selected, but were not Zingerman's best, while the open bar was very good in terms of selection and service. Ther location is great though.
Aaron Glenn: Awesome performance space for The Moth
Robert Samplonius: They do a great buffet. Good mac & cheese
Trooper Long: Perfection!
C T: So yummy
Karly Smith: We had our 120 person wedding at Greyline and we could not have asked for a more perfect venue! It is gorgeous on the inside and more modern than your traditional wedding venue. We got so many compliments on the space as well as the food - some people said it was the best they'd ever had at a wedding! But the real star here is the staff. Stephanie, our event coordinator through Zingerman's, was immensely helpful and kind throughout the entire process. Her responses were prompt, she gave helpful suggestions, and she worked with us throughout the whole process to ensure it was a perfect day. She is the positive, calming, and organized presence you want leading up to and on your wedding day! The bartenders, waiters, and all staff we encountered were amazing. I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a wedding or event venue!
