Costco Wholesale: what do users think?
Todd Leary: Snacks used to be sold together. Now everything is scattered throughout. Makes shopping here difficult. I can never find everything I'm looking for anymore. I definitely try avoiding this place anymore and will most likely not renew my membership unless toledo store is better
kevin klien: What can I say. Costco is great.
Andy B: Jumbo packages of high quality goods, but you have to have a membership which costs over $60/year to buy anything. The prices are good, but they're not actually particularly good. When you actually do the math, most things are being sold at the same prices as other places, but in deceptive sizes and pricing schemes. They carry a lot of things I like and can't easily get at other places, so I'm glad to go there, but I don't kid myself that any of it is a great deal. One of Costco's great strengths is that they keep low quality products out of their stores. Anything you get at Costco is going to be at least as good as average and usually a bit better. So you can depend on anything they sell not being junky.Their customer service is quite good and they allow returns of almost anything, for essentially no reason, for a practically unlimited amount of time. So again, you can shop there with total confidence. Even if you got something that you ended up disliking, you can just return it and they'll gladly take it back without any hassle. You do need to have a membership, any you did need to buy it under your own account, so you can't scam them. They won't give you cash for a broken product that they didn't sell you.The exception to the returns policy is electronic things like computers. If you decide to buy something electronic, check the return policy if you have any inkling that you might want to get a refund. I think their policy is still better than almost anywhere else on high tech product returns, but it's not the same no-questions-asked-and-no-time-limit policy that they have for other things.
Becky Geer: The gas lines are long. The prices are good. I just wish they were open later at night.
Nichole Layton: An absolute mad house. The parking lot is so poorly designed - it took eons just to get close to the front door to drop somebody off and then go to park in the back. Took ages to get checked out because all the lines are insane.Ordered a cake from the bakery (no, they won't let you speak to anybody. You just drop a sheet of paper in a box and leave). Called because I had problem and questions with my order but they wouldn't let me talk to anybody in the bakery because it was apparently a health hazard to give them a phone. I was told I'd have to come in. No, I'm just not coming back. Sorry.
Ersyla Nellajoy: I appreciate Costco. But there was no category for a product that I bought at Costco which is the sea temple snacks ready to eat anchovies.so I’m a European American from the Mid west, I’ve never seen such a thing in Costco. But I appreciate their eclectic mix of delicacies. As you can see from the photo the fish are staring back at you from there a little plastic bag or large plastic bag in Costco’s case. So I took the challenge because I needed protein and it seemed convenient. Well guess what their fishy they taste fishy. And SweetThe whole thing is a little offputting for me since I wasn’t raised on this kind of thing. But just recently since I had invested in this entire bag and I still need it quick easy protein I came up with a snack made out of the anchovy snack that I find appetizing see photos below. Here we have a gluten-free Wassa crackers not sold at Costco as far as I know. Spread with butter topped with sea Temple snack ready to eat anchovies on that I laid sunflower seed butter plenty of salt pepper and onion powder. Yum
Bridget Gruich: Super helpful staff even at self checkout!
Evelyn Perez: Excellent good
Cathie Wilson: Open NOW!) :)
Shaun Holder: Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I had a great first time experience there and look forward to shopping there again.
Joe Semifero: Typical Costco. For whatever reason, lines take longer than they used to. Not sure if that is something to do with COVID, but I never used to wait more than a couple minutes no matter how busy they were. Still, better than lines most other places and I do love Costco.
Ирина Дыкуша: Good store
Christopher Bay: Got what we needed and made it out the door under $400.
Vyshnavii Ganganaboina: I love this Costco .
ROHAN CASTELINO: Had great deals, but quite a line up at the self checkout.
Rhondrea Hooper: Always love my Costco and their gasoline prices!
Dorothy Parrish: Huge store.
Bruce Geffen: Everything that's great about Costco.
Joshua Polaczyk: Good Costco. Busy like all of them. They move you fast though the checkout. Good selection of stuff. They also have tires, optical and a pharmacy.
Vijairaj R: I feel so much more confident in buying from Costco. But this store has a special mention: One Costco employee made a huge impression on me. Few weeks back, a gentle man was walking out the store with a plate of pizza, which he slipped and dropped on the floor. The kind lady who stands at exit to check receipts ran forward and collected the spill, she didn't stop there but took the effort to walk over and get a fresh plate of pizza!
Angie Venegas: UPDATE:Still love it. Still miss the pie.I was so excited when this location opened! I'm embarrassed to say how often I am there. Let's just say they are very familiar with me , LOL. The staff is so helpful and always seem to be so happy. Prices are great. Very crowded on the weekends . Best to go during the week and early. One complaint...I really miss the caramel crumb topped apple pie!!!!

Whole Foods Market: what do users think?
Krystalyn Katz-Page: Literally love shopping here and would recommend you grab your groceries here. Yes it’s a little more costly than other shopping locations, however, I must state it’s well worth your buck.-It’s always clean, well-lit, and a great shopping experience.-The hot/cold food is always fresh and nicely stocked.-There is a section for household necessities and body essentials; also nicely stocked.-The servers and cashiers are very helpful and efficient.-Not to mention it’s Amazon return center is very efficient and they have Amazon lockers.
Joshua Polaczyk: Great Whole Foods. Nice staff. Fresh products and a nice spot to return Amazon products!
Joel Lee: Did you know, they donate their extra produce and energy to the Creature Conservatory!? Jean, Awesome contribution.
Eddie Smith: Great Whole Foods store. Good service and great selection. Only criticism is during rush hour this place gets packed and they could use more cashiers, bakery, and deli workers during that time.
John Watts: Whole Foods Market has great healthy foods.
Geekstronomy: Wish they still had the bar
Colleen Johnson: This store is always clean and organized and every single person that works there is friendly and helpful! I ordered my first catering order there and the food presentation looked amazing! Also the store director Larry Austin is the kindest, knowledgeable, and friendly person I have ever met!
Paul Stewart: They have everything organic and the prices are ok, can't complain
nick stauder: Absolutely awful, ordered for delivery and after being 2 hours late contacted me and and told me they just aren't bringing my groceries, but will hold my money for 5 days
Michelle Kulkoski: I'm glad they kept the fish wall and the meat case in place. But all of the changes, and no one can tell me it's because of covid. You took the deli case out. You took the pork counter out. You took the brick oven for pizzas out. The sweets counter for individual cakes and other items, gone. The fruit and vegetables are so close together that I couldn't manage my cart. I probably will be back, but I'll have my husband shop for us and not together.
Marsha: Beautiful store BUT went in for puff pastry - over $11 a box? Outrageous!
Andrew Gill: Loved it so much I decided to make a career out of it!!!
Diana Maria: If you go to buy groceries from this store, be aware they sell a lot of expired meat and products. Read the expiration date on every product you buy.
Andrea Bradley: Amazing food bar and an amazing staff!
Surendra Manjrekar: It is nice with lots of choices.
Mohammed (Mo): The guy who works in the self checkout area is absolutely amazing and very friendly.
Bob Sornson: It's not the old WF experience
Bruce Geffen: It's so close and accessible with just about everything I need or want. Some items I get at locally owned grocery stores because price is cheaper at other places. Whole Foods owned by Amazon... what more is there to say?
Merry Sanches: Ricos pasteles😘
Mari Rymar: Beautiful space with wonderful food, hot and cold
Charles Carlson: Yup, all good, but online shopping has certainly changed the landscape. Too easy to shop multiple places from home at the same time. Buyers market 4 sure. 🤔

Whole Foods Market: what do users think?
Dain Evans: I think the almonds in the almond butter grinder have been sitting in there too long. The almond butter I bought was rancid, but still in date according to the label.
david clemons jr: I love Whole Foods. I'm especially a fan of the hot bar.
Eric F: Go to order a pizza and they tell me they are out of dough? No flour, yeast and water in a grocery store? Sure buddy. What a joke. Hire employees who want to work and want to take money.
Charles Carlson: The Whole package!
Mary Lemmer: Great Whole Foods! Clean, easy to find things, and friendly customer service.
Eddie Smith: Great Whole Foods store. Great selection, good service, plenty of parking, and excellent location in terms of main roads in and out of the community as well as the nearby highway.
David Lutes: Whole foods is a good place to get real food, but not cheap by any means. Customer service leaves much to be desired. It's just another division of Amazon.
Banafsheh Sadeghi: Friendly staff and great selection particularly on flowers
Jin Simmz: Who can't like this place
Michael St.John: Great stuff. Expensive but lots of good stuff here.
Angie Bu: Great selection of food in a convenient location
Panagioti Apostolou: We shop WFM for specific items. The 365 salad kits are very good and at a nice price point. Also, they have a good cheese selection.
Jennifer Tislerics: Expensive! But high quality foods and goods. Amazing variety in the self-serve food bars and made-to-order areas. Seating area available for eating the food purchased.
Alain Mai: The artisan breads are better there 5han at the Washtenaw store.
Nikita Wright: Whole Foods Market the staff members are really friendly and helpful. Hand sanitizer is stationed throughout the store. Food quality is excellent.
Michael Alexander: NOT CLEAN
Sarah Jane Uldricks: Have you ever wanted to feel judged just for existing? Whole Foods is the place for you!Bakery section is absolutely amazing, though.
Charles L: Still too expensive for every day shopping but every other aspect is very nice.
Jonathan Pan: They got caviar!
Hockey Mom 7: I prefer this Whole Foods over the other Ann Arbor store… Super close to where I live so I stop in often. The employees are always so helpful and friendly.
Deep Singh: Lots of healthy options and polite staff. Keep up the great work...

By the Pound: what do users think?
Christian Rinna: Lots of stuff that’s hard to find elsewhere!
Cameron Curtis: A fantastic store with a huge variety of bulk foods at very reasonable pricing. Friendly and helpful staff. All around a great experience.
Kay DejaVu: I came here from Toledo. Friendly service. Found the less popular items I needed.
Brian McClatchey: Nice store with bulk items at ok prices.
Charles Lohr: I buy herbal caffeine-free teas, gummy worms, Napoleon sours, nut goodies, and dry pineapple rounds. Prices are up to 60% less than the grocery store. Repeat customer.
andrew evans: The choose to lose program is everything I was looking for in a work out program. As someone who has already lost some weight on my own, I became bored by the same cardio workouts. The type of exercises Alex challenges us with each class are both physically and mentally engaging. I enjoy the people who workout with him and never feel intimidated to try new things. This will be my fifth session and I've already hit some of my personal goals. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to be inspired by fitness again.
steve tabb: Good bulk pound store with reasonable prices. Products range from sweets to cooking ingredients. Friendly staff with great owner who is regularly in the store and well informed on his products.
Peter Tojšl: So many options to choose from, good prices, and really nice employees!
christine stockwell: Look here for hard to find things - bulk spices, teas, grains, flours, sugars, chocolates, candies, nuts, beans. Buy as little as you need. There is the option to provide your own container (have it weighed by the helpful staff before filling). In the last month, I’ve found things I thought for sure I’d have to mail order: black cocoa, buckwheat flour, Kashmiri chilli powder, mustard oil. And 4-5 dark chocolate-dipped amaretto pecans for a snack.
Jack Pilutti: We save SO MUCH MONEY shopping here for spices, nuts, grains etc. Also a great way to cut down on plastic waste.
Maya S: This place is like Willy Wonka's factory but for bulk stores! Such a magical place. In order to properly rave about this place I will break down the reasons why I adore this place:1. The incredible selection of everything: For a relatively small store they have a super vast spice selection which is perfect for our family since we make lots of Korean and Indian food. They have all sorts of grains and legumes and noodles (including Asian varieties!) too and oh the delicious tea and coffee selection! They have lots of liquids bulk goods like maple syrup and vinegars and oils and soy sauce and vanilla extract. I also appreciate how they've got a bunch of imported goods from the United Kingdom like PG Tips and Heinz canned beans. They also have local eggs and cheeses and ice creams and frozen produce. Recently they've got lots of new candies too from M&Ms to salmiakki. They've got it all!2. Freedom in quantity and bulk good receptacle: You can bring your own containers which I really appreciate or use their bags or purchase their beautiful but reasonably priced containers. People also leave clean containers you can use for free too. I'm grateful that By the Pound I can come in to get just a teaspoon of dried sage but also get 4 pounds of green lentils. No pressure to get a while containers worth so you don't have to worry about wasting food or having an awkward bulky container of an herb you use just a teaspoon of then feel bad that you don't want to use more.3. Good hygiene good atmosphere and good people: The store is very clean and organized and they do good quality control to make sure customers don't dirty any of the goods. The store is always playing gentle classical music and has cute antiques decorating the space. Glenn the owner is so sweet and helpful and the other folks working at the store go above and beyond with helping finding things and making your shopping experience superb.I go to By the Pound every week and there's always a new delight to be found. Please check out this Ann Arbor institution with your favorite jars and have a blast!
Isabella W: Great bulk foods store - buy tea, spices, snacks, flours, grains, peas etc. in bulk.
A Bar: Nice spot for tea, candies, nuts, spices. Some soaps like castille, some oils and grains.Area by the door has free empty containers. You must weigh them and label the item ex. Salt 1.99Don't be scared of a high price, it's by the pound so no worries getting a small amount.Would like more soaps and plant seeds.
Frankie Konieczki: Bring in your old clean containers to donate and take some if you forget some. By the Pound is an awesome bulk food store where you can reduce, reuse and recycle. A bonus is they have amazing microwavable indian food the best I have ever had.
Douglas T: The pistachios slap
Leanne Ma: Great variety of grains, beans, spices, baking ingredients, coffees and teas! Everything is priced very reasonably. Staff are always very kind and helpful. Containers for free and for sale in a wide variety. One of my favorite places to go and explore different ingredients.
Lauren Grossman: This is my favorite store in Ann Arbor. I get all of my tea here, as well as my chocolate and herbs. They also have grains, flours, and a variety of dry goods and specialties from around the world.
Jonathan Valdez: Bring your saved jars, spice and herb containers, egg cartons to use in the store. You can also donate your washed jars and containers to them for folks to use. They have an amazing amount of baking goods and rice.Has a decent sized shared parking lot. Right besides Benny’s.
M. Hawk: Excellent bulk shop. Wish they carried more variety in whole grains and super-sad they stopped carrying 7-grain cereal, but it's a fantastic resource for a town of this size. Grains, coffees, pastas, flours, legumes, spices, candy, chocolate, and various dry goods, along with a refrigerated section. Very, very clean, with friendly, non-intrusive staff/owners. I'm so pleased it exists. Every town needs a shop like this. It fills a niche that not even coops fill.
J. Manning: Very cool place that has tons you didn't even know you needed! Service was great. This place is now on my regularly visit list
John Hritz: The best version of this concept. Extensive selection of beans, lentils, rice and other pantry ingredients.
