Eric Tuovila: Very unimpressed with Levine & Sons based on multiple interactions with them. Our basement floor drain began to smell of sewer gas, and after adding several gallons of water to the drain and attempting to ventilate the area, the odor persisted. I scheduled an appointment through their website, received a text confirmation that my information had been shared with someone in the field, and then never received any communication nor a visit during the appointment time slot. I followed up the next day to schedule a new appointment through the website, and received a text confirmation once again, and the plumber arrived as scheduled. I was informed there was a minimum $199 charge for the visit, which included up to 100 feet of drain snaking. Upon arrival, the plumber didn't have much help to offer, other than stating the drain appeared to be functioning properly (of which I was obviously previously aware). I had purchased a test plug previously, and asked him if installing it could stop the odor, which he stated it possibly could. He installed the drain plug, collected $199 (no snaking, no scoping) and left. He stated he would send an estimate for a smoke test to detect a possible leak in the floor drain.Fast forward through the weekend, we never received an estimate, and the odor persisted even after installing the plug. We called once again for further assistance, and a different plumber came out to look at the issue. He provided no troubleshooting other than basic visual observation of the area, and suggested that our two month old washing machine was the source of the odor. He attempted to remove the plug that was installed, was unable to, and suggested I needed to find a way to remove it in case we needed to use the drain at a later date (I didn't install the plug, his colleague did...). He stated the floor drain may be cracked or leaking, and said an estimate would be sent for replacing the floor drain. Fast forward three days later, I've seen no follow-up communication whatsoever, and no estimate.Some honest investigation and genuine interest in solving our problem would have been welcome, but no such luck from Levine & Sons this time.Service:Plumbing leak detection

Maxin edathy: I am writing this review retrospectively. I have had two experiences with this company and both were good. First time it was an issue with our Air conditioner. They came out and first thing the guy checked was the fuse and of course it was blown (had it occurred to me, I could have saved a few bucks 😊). The second time it our my furnace. The gentleman who came out took time to go through a systematic set of trouble shooting and explained everything to me during the process. He appeared to be very knowledgeable and he was able to diagnose the problem and fix it. It was due to lack of maintenance (for the most part) but nothing serious. Did not require a part replacement or anything but he showed me what to do next time if that happened which I thought was great for people like me who like to do some maintenance themselves. Overall I was very happy with the service.

It's difficult to find ANYONE that is competent with boilers, most hvac companies say they are backlogged for a month(so they dont have to come?). Definitely call these guys if you want it fixed NOW. Be ready with the credit card. Actual talent isn't cheap.

Alyssa Dennis Haba: I hired this company twice to do repairs on a boiler in a home I purchased, which they had serviced previously before my ownership. I paid over $1K between the two appointments, and they charged me for a service call the second time even though no work was performed. I ultimately had to replace the entire system one month following, and they wouldn't give me a credit towards the new system for the work performed (which didn't hold up.) Shoddy business practice.
