Third Man Records: what do users think?
richardson ryan: Third Man Cass Corridor was the first place I returned to when the Canadian border reopened after almost 2 years. Salem conducted her very first plant tour so well, that my wife and I booked a private tour last month for a dozen of our close friends. Once again, she patiently answered all the questions they had and many are planning to return. We highly recommend both the Detroit and Nashville stores and the tour!
Devon Clark: Had to come here for our first trip to Detroit. Such a cool spot. Could have spent forever just browsing around. Grabbed a few records and a sweater, loved it here! So cool to see the record pressing in the back, watching through the windows, great layout, great product, great staff. Will definitely come back and make that 4 hour drive just to visit again.
D M: What a very cool place , super friendly staff. A must see for vinyl fans . This will be a Regular weekend spot . Love it !
Collin Wheeler: A must do for all music enthusiasts. Especially if you’re a fan of Jack White. Now that pressing plant tours are back on, highly recommend checking that out. Staff is super friendly and more than happy to give recommendations or help you out. You can see the pressing plant from the sales floor, which is really cool. Plus they have some of The White Stripes era touring gear that you can use. Love coming here
Jen Chesney: Called ahead and said closes at 6pm arrived at 4:55pm and was told they were closing and we had to leave. We are not local and drove there just for this business ,so we found this frustrating and rude as well.
Cesar Ramiro Delgado González: Nice store, excellents records and more
Rob Nixon: Wow. First of all… Salem (I hope I’m spelling it right) and the rest of the staff were amazing and friendly. Plus gave us some great advice about Detroit. I cannot say enough nice things about you two. Thank you so much. This was on my girls bucket list places to go. It was her birthday gift to go down and see. Yes, she bought half the store. Which leads me to the actual review. If you are a fan of anything Jack… they have something’s you want and things you didn’t know you wanted.Absolutely an amazing place. We went in a Saturday so sadly didn’t get to see the tour. But… definitely making it down again just to see that.Again. Thank you gang. Cheers, sorry she bought all the things.
Darlene (YOWBABY): Straight up, Go here. Especially if you're a Jack White fan because this is his store. What better place to get a fresh, new album than right off the press, literally. Plus, it's obviously less expensive.Lots of trinkets to get here. The store's decor theme is black and yellow. It looks good. As the cashier said it was "On purpose? On point?" Something cool like that she stated, but I can't remember now. Darnit. If you're in the D, not the Big D, stop in and check it out. They'll probably be pressing records when you do. Cool! Cool! Cool!
Mitchell Austin: Cool shop
Donna Fong: I enjoyed visiting third man records. They manufacture records in the back and have many vintage pieces to see up close.
Bonnie Robinson: Fun shop to view/purchase White Stripes merchandise. The shop has a great aesthetic. The best part is watching vinyls being made in the back.
Charles Walker: I was looking forward to visiting Third Man Records during our recent trip to Detroit and it more than lived up to expectations. It's equal parts gallery, museum, factory and store. My only regret was the vinyl plant at the rear of the building wasn't operating the day we were there but not surprising as we visited on a Saturday. Hard to describe the store, it must be seen to really appreciate it. Highly recommended!
Patrick Jones: As someone who appreciates vinyl, I really enjoyed stopping in here. I wasn't interested in the merchandise as much as I was in the pressing plant at the back of the shop. The decor and shop setup is also visually stunning.
Leigh Neal: Meh. Seemed like a jack white self aggrandizing shrine to himself and his clear awesomeness so……Like I don’t need a lighter (or any other gift shop trinket trash) that has “Jack White” printed on the side of it. If you loooooooove jack white and love being pandered to this is your place! Also two stars because it was air conditioned
Jim Coons: Loved it! Great staff! Cool vibes all around!!
Herb Flecther: Salem was super helpful. Cool joint
K R: I really like the design and layout of this store. They are up to date with trends and unique products.
Frank Oscar Weaver: The best part is seeing the vinyls being made on the plant toward the back of the venue/gift shop. The gift shop has some really cool gifts and souvenirs. I only wish the jukebox and other interactive machines were working as most seem broken.
Maus Corderman: Visited from FL. They were closed due to a fire. But we were able to come back and the staff was nice and amazing and apologetic even though it wasn't their fault. The Store is awesome and beautiful
Scott Pena: Cool atmosphere, great collection of in house recorded vinyl albums.
Alex Zurowski: In the immortal words of Coldplay: "It was all yellow."

Ripe Records Detroit: what do users think?
D M: Awesome local spot for new and used records .
Luis Guevara: Recently set up my AudioTechnica turntable and have been itching to expand my Classical Vinyl selection. What I can say about this record store and it's owner is that the establishment is in impeccable shape. I picked up a half dozen Classical records and they too were in mint to near mint condition. Will definitely return and explore.
James Chandanais: The owner is very helpful and willing to assist in finding exactly what you’re looking for. He has a large selection of new and pre-owned vinyl records.
Teresa Moses: Great selection and value
J T: Great record store!!
David Chakur: Great selection of records!
Helen Louise Shaar: I might shop there,if these places have cd or DVDs music 🤔🕶️
Glenn OConnor: Records only. You'll find Andy inside. He's a cool guy with cool music.
Ed Martin: Huge Selection! High Quality Merchandise! Hard to find Rare Items! Highly Recommended!!! AAA+++++
Nick Link: Great selection and a cool little store. The owner Andy is knowledgeable about pretty much everything, except hip hop.
Patrick Jones: Lovely place. Very short trip just outside of Detroit proper. I spent a little over an hour flipping through the mostly organized selection of new and used vinyl. Found something I've been wanting to grab. The staff was kind and down to help. I could tell by a few conversations that they have developed a great rapport with their patrons. If I lived in the area, I could definitely see myself stopping in from time to time.
Maddie B: Love this place
Xian Messerschmidt: Nice little record shoppe in Grosse Pointe. Don't let the smaller size fool you, though, there is a great selection of new and used vinyl. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back.
Joe Simon: Here you'll find a grizzled ol' vinyl curmudgeon, with a heart of gold. Vintage first run Blue Notes to the latest and greatest fill the shelves. Ripe is the essence of the friendly neighborhood wax shop. Old timers and noobies alike will find their grooves spinning at 33-1/3 (or 45). Fresh new AT tables are available as well, and sometimes a truly special vintage piece of Hi-Fi history may come in looking for a new home. Andy's prices are well researched and fair, but there's always a deal to made. And if you're lucky you might just wind up brushing shoulders with a legend of the Detroit scene.
Luis Jaime: Great music selection and friendly staff!
George Murray: Loved this place
Denny Williams: Great Place! Highly recommend.
Matt Yockey: Small but thoroughly solid selection at reasonable prices. Owner Andy will make you feel right at home. A terrific record shop!
Sal Frontiero: My 18 year old son turned me on to this neat little place packed with gems & memories in vinyl. I grabbed a couple of bargain treasures and l'll be back...😎
Aaron Kaufman: I spend a lot of time at Ripe Records. After trying shops in Dearborn, Ferndale, and Hamtramck; this is the only one I go back to. And even though I've been collecting and playing music over half my life, the owner Andy always has something new for me!
Samantha S: Andy is the best!!! I brought my deceased fathers record player in from 1977. The turntable had missing parts along with wear and tear. Andy understood how sentimental and important this turntable is to me, he researched for the original parts, purchased them online for me and restored the record player to be practically brand new! I have taken this record player to several record shops over the past 19 years and even tried to take on the project myself but I could never find any help or answers. Andy brought life back to this very very important piece just for the cost of parts (no labor charge) and in just a few weeks! Forever grateful for all his help and patience!

Kathryn G.: Here, it's about the thrill of the find!
Todd Hecker: Great little record store w very reasonable prices!
Christopher Merique: Everyone was really nice and helpful
Elizabeth Stevens: Edit: their CD repair machine worked wonders on an old ps1 game. 3 minutes of the machine and it lives!!!Don't overlook the games they sell! They have a selection of old video games too. It's not the largest, but you'll find something for your old, wrinkly console back there.
Chris Adams: Pro Tip: The $1 bins are filled with good records!
Luis Guevara: I've always loved vinyl and this place reminded me of Record Time that I loved growing up on the east side. Coincidentally, ran into Mike that used to own RT and immediately felt right at home. I picked up an import of Kissing the Pink which skips pretty badly, but I'm sure they will work with me. I will surely introduce my 13yr old daughter to this place once I get my phonograph all set up.

The store is clean and organized way better than other record shops I've seen in the area. They sell movies, video games, CDs, posters, buttons and other music related stuff too. The owner and his staff are all good people ready to help you find what you're looking for.
