Phillip Hawley (Mr Demented): Very cool spot with more sound then they need (a good thing)
Freudian Slip: Theres absolutely nothing wrong with the bar. It seems like a really nice bar.If you like collecting records on the other hand… i hope you like the two rows of bins. Walmart has a better selection. Go to Peoples Records. At least they HAVE an inventory.

Record Graveyard: what do users think?
Larry Trezil: What a hidden gem, Hope I didn't blow their cover....lol. Great record store.
Dennis Williams: Very Cool Old Skool Record Store. Highly recommend. 😎
Ed McDonald: Great record store with a nice selection of used records. The prices were reasonable.
Anthony Bruton: Nice little shop located in the neighborhood
Kyle Halstead: Amazing gem of a store in Detroit. The owner was super nice. The selection was really great. Decent prices, nothing was inflated like at other record stores.
Darlene (YOWBABY): If you're looking for some vinyl, don't let the name fool you. This tiny store tucked away in Hamtramck is definitely filled with great spirits and tunes. The albums are mostly old, of course, but not overpriced, unlike most others. Great selection of Motown. They are not annoyingly sealed so you're able to check the records for scratches before purchasing. That's a bonus, I'd say. Plus, read them. The sleeves in the olden days sometimes have the lyrics. It's not the cleanest or tidiest and depending on what day you're there, the staff member who's working might like to chat or doesn't. But no matter what, when you're there, they'll have a sweet vinyl spinning on the turntable. The music fills the room and puts a whole different vibe to the experience.Remember to check the posters, too. May see one from an old concert you attended back in the day. Definitely go.
Fontain Buchanan: Nice old music and quality
Andrew May: The best record store I have been to in a long time with fair prices!Jazz. Rock, Soul, Mo-Town, Country and a few others.
Mr. Vinyl 67: It’s like being in a candy store of records friendly atmosphere enjoyed my visit check it out!
ronald “Plumber Ron” brousseau: the place is very clean and organized and they have some great records.
Angela Curry: Good prices
Thomas Ameloot: One of Hamtramcks' treasures. Picked up some great records. The owner was really nice.
Robert Nazar: This record store has a overwhelming collection of quality records!
Matt Beattie: Old man, take a look at my life, I'm a lot like you.
Chris Robinson: Good place. Lots of vintage stuff. Fair prices.
Jason Carson: Nice selection.
Larry Clouse: Great place.
Alexander Saeedy: How records should be priced. No BS, straightforward shop. Lots of hard-to-find albums as well
Paige Johnson: Frank was a G. He had so much knowledge and couldnt of been more welcoming. This store is a jem! Definitely would recommend!
Mike G: Guy didn't talk much. Didn't seem sociable
Meltdown Detroit: Nice place ! Great finds!

Ripe Records Detroit: what do users think?
D M: Awesome local spot for new and used records .
Luis Guevara: Recently set up my AudioTechnica turntable and have been itching to expand my Classical Vinyl selection. What I can say about this record store and it's owner is that the establishment is in impeccable shape. I picked up a half dozen Classical records and they too were in mint to near mint condition. Will definitely return and explore.
James Chandanais: The owner is very helpful and willing to assist in finding exactly what you’re looking for. He has a large selection of new and pre-owned vinyl records.
Teresa Moses: Great selection and value
J T: Great record store!!
David Chakur: Great selection of records!
Helen Louise Shaar: I might shop there,if these places have cd or DVDs music 🤔🕶️
Glenn OConnor: Records only. You'll find Andy inside. He's a cool guy with cool music.
Ed Martin: Huge Selection! High Quality Merchandise! Hard to find Rare Items! Highly Recommended!!! AAA+++++
Nick Link: Great selection and a cool little store. The owner Andy is knowledgeable about pretty much everything, except hip hop.
Patrick Jones: Lovely place. Very short trip just outside of Detroit proper. I spent a little over an hour flipping through the mostly organized selection of new and used vinyl. Found something I've been wanting to grab. The staff was kind and down to help. I could tell by a few conversations that they have developed a great rapport with their patrons. If I lived in the area, I could definitely see myself stopping in from time to time.
Maddie B: Love this place
Xian Messerschmidt: Nice little record shoppe in Grosse Pointe. Don't let the smaller size fool you, though, there is a great selection of new and used vinyl. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back.
Joe Simon: Here you'll find a grizzled ol' vinyl curmudgeon, with a heart of gold. Vintage first run Blue Notes to the latest and greatest fill the shelves. Ripe is the essence of the friendly neighborhood wax shop. Old timers and noobies alike will find their grooves spinning at 33-1/3 (or 45). Fresh new AT tables are available as well, and sometimes a truly special vintage piece of Hi-Fi history may come in looking for a new home. Andy's prices are well researched and fair, but there's always a deal to made. And if you're lucky you might just wind up brushing shoulders with a legend of the Detroit scene.
Luis Jaime: Great music selection and friendly staff!
George Murray: Loved this place
Denny Williams: Great Place! Highly recommend.
Matt Yockey: Small but thoroughly solid selection at reasonable prices. Owner Andy will make you feel right at home. A terrific record shop!
Sal Frontiero: My 18 year old son turned me on to this neat little place packed with gems & memories in vinyl. I grabbed a couple of bargain treasures and l'll be back...😎
Aaron Kaufman: I spend a lot of time at Ripe Records. After trying shops in Dearborn, Ferndale, and Hamtramck; this is the only one I go back to. And even though I've been collecting and playing music over half my life, the owner Andy always has something new for me!
Samantha S: Andy is the best!!! I brought my deceased fathers record player in from 1977. The turntable had missing parts along with wear and tear. Andy understood how sentimental and important this turntable is to me, he researched for the original parts, purchased them online for me and restored the record player to be practically brand new! I have taken this record player to several record shops over the past 19 years and even tried to take on the project myself but I could never find any help or answers. Andy brought life back to this very very important piece just for the cost of parts (no labor charge) and in just a few weeks! Forever grateful for all his help and patience!

Found Sound: what do users think?
Brent Yousoufian-White: Still love this place but when u spend 1-2 hundred CASH u should be able to get a lil deal or at least no tax. Every other record store do it on used albums.
Jasen J: Love the name of this place. You can really get lost in the nostalgia alone. There's even an 8-track section for baby boomers or the collectors. Great selections. Vinyl prices are at a premium though but worth every penny for those looking to go back in time... Cheers!
Destiny Lewis: Nice record store. My son collects cds and always finds something he wants.
