Bamboo Detroit: what do users think?
Christina Fair: I have been working out of the Bamboo offices since the end of 2020. With the support of this incredible community, I have successfully launched 2 companies, both of which operate out of the Royal Oak and Detroit locations, and I couldn't be happier. Not only are the facilities themselves incredible, but the (AMAZING!!) Bamboo team, amenities, and other business owners in the space provide me with the energy and resources that I need in order to continue to grow. In addition, I LOVE that this is a woman owned space. Whether you are looking to grow a team, or you just need a quiet space to get work done, you won't regret coming to hang out for an open co-working day.
Reginald Yarbrough: Great place to use as your workspaces. Several options that would benefit most. Friendly representatives, great support available.
Nina Payne: I love working at Bamboo Downtown Detroit and/or Royal Oak. I've been a member for 5 years now. I always feel inspired and motivated to get things done. Each location has great energy.
Alison Todak: The team is simply wonderful. Friendly, professional, and most of all helpful every time I visit.
Rushi R: Great place!
David Baird: Always great
Edi Demaj: Easily the best co-working space in the state and beyond. The community building mindset is second to none. You're not just a tenant to Bamboo, you are a part of their family and in addition to a beautiful space, you get an incredible amount of support for your business that pays 10X for the money you spend in rent. The space itself is amazing and motivational that makes it so easy to operate for small and large teams.
Lauren Lewan: I absolutely love coming to bamboo to work! It’s super spacious and I love bringing my co workers there for meetings because the energy is awesome and we can sit down and do what we need to do! I would go there everyday if I could, it’s a great work environment!
Vyankatesh Mhavatkar: Very cramped place
Infinity Topics Toni B: Great environment
gabriella barthlow: Beautiful shared space for upstarts. Enjoyed a lovely meeting here
Michael Zack: Great place to grab a desk and get your work done
Kat: It was a nice to her wish it had other features play the place like more time for you to come in and sit with you have to pay for that it's not about using their Wi-Fi cuz you can get your own but it's just a convenience that you will be enough decent office space or sharing area
Bonnie Pearce: Excellent facilities.
Samuel John: Good!
Isaiah Jordan: Nice space good public events
scott brockert: Our team rented space for a week at Bamboo Detroit. Nice space, friendly staff, and great coffee to keep us fueled! Convenient location with plenty of off site parking nearby. Thanks, Terri!
Ann Hall: Nice business model. Smaller meeting spaces were cramped due to the extra large table in the room.
Achsha Jones: Love the space. Parking is challenging though.
MaNazah Chandler: Lovely space! I appreciate what they're doing to aid the entrepreneurial community in the city of Detroit.
Curtis Anderson: Good community service and they have been doing this for a while.

Bea's Detroit: what do users think?
Courtney Pope: Went here for a baby shower after Bea's was closed. There was roof top seating. Very nice shower, staff, and ambiance.
Ryan Michael Dinkgrave: Bea's is a great multifunctional space - coffee shop, co-working space, lounge, venue, event space, office, and more. The owners are very friendly folks!
Michelle Holliday-Levy: We hosted our daughter's baby-shower on the roof and lounge. Connar and team ensured the afternoon was truly memorable. Their flexibility was truly appreciated, even when we had to flex due to propane running out.You know it's a good party when you can't get your guests to leave.Everyone is still talking about the event
Dina Griffey: Love, love, love!!
Daniela Lisi: I had my wedding at Beas this past October and it was an absolute fairytale!! From the very beginning the staff and event staff were all amazing! Connar was our most frequent point of contact and she was absolutely amazing!! This establishment is so professional and you can tell they take a lot of pride in what they provide for their brides, grooms and just every day coffee goers! I could go on for days about how amazing my wedding day was. It was so beautiful and everything flowed so smoothly! As a wedding photographer myself I will forever suggest this place for my brides and grooms looking to have a smaller ceremony and reception! Thank you guys for your professionalism and thank you for making my wedding day so amazing!!
Hailey Ivankovics: We got married at Bea’s in February 2021. Our original venue was not clear on how they would host our small wedding during the pandemic and I thought we would have to call it all off. Then we found Bea’s on google. I got a phone call the next day after sending in my inquiry and the date that we had planned was still available and the rest is history! Connor and I set up zoom calls, phone calls and any other forms of communication to make sure our day was exactly what we were hoping for. We opted for their smaller wedding package (without dinner) and our guests are STILL talking about how great and filling the strolling appetizers were.I know I’m writing this review late in the game but it’s because we’ve attended other weddings since ours and after the last one we realized how exceptional our experience as the bride and groom were: our day of coordinators made sure everything ran on time but still let us enjoy our day. There are many photos of us enjoying each other’s company, unposed, without anyone around us (because even in our short 2 hour time frame we still were able to create lasting memories between us instead of running around all night). Bea’s really is the place to be! I’d recommend ANYONE to host their wedding or event there and support such a wonderful business!
Ben Murray: An exceedingly painful experience with their event planning team. Very unfortunate, because any excitement that went towards working with Bea's quickly turned to me feeling taken advantage of. Tread carefully when working with them.EDIT:Hi Eli,So apparently I need to defend myself after the owner lies in their response to paint me someone who is "threatening" them. I contractually held the date (which was 6 months away from booking) for 24 hours before discussing with your event team how I regretfully had to cancel. After saying that it should be no problem since it was immediately afterwards and the event was a ways away, I then preceded to wait as she "checked with her boss" only to not respond to my many calls and email reaching out trying to follow up. 10 days later I get a "no refund" and "we had to pass on 4 people because you had that date".There was no attempt to follow up with me when I had let you know immediately afterwards, there was no discussion from Beas of a postponement date or looking for something that worked (something that I would have been willing to talk about since I had to postpone due to a pandemic), and even when I asked if there was anything you could provide credit for since I just paid you $600 in deposit for a 24 hour hold the response I received was a lecture on contracts and business. My review isn't about contracts, it is about Bea's unwillingness to work with me when unforeseen circumstances (COVID) came up. Even more shocking was that is was literally a day after I signed. It isn't like I dragged this out and cancelled a week before the event date like I was trying to play you. You're welcome to paint me as you'd like in your response. Much like your own employees help you paint Bea's in their "stellar reviews" that you respond as an owner and pretend are just regular patrons (attached image). I never demanded anything. I do hope you learn from this as I love Detroit and the scene in Eastern Market and hope you and Beatrice success moving forward.
Jamie Judson: My sister and I stopped by for coffee before the market this Saturday. I hadn't been since they started the 'choose your adventure' for their drinks - what a fun idea, it definitely makes the experience more fun and customized. While my sister doesn't drink coffee, the barista was able to whip her up a delicious hot cocoa. And of course, the space is SO CUTE!
Christopher Vinson: Great coffee.Great atmosphere
Sydney Motto: such a beautiful interior, great music, and amazing murals in the back room! i love it here:) also i’m obsessed with lemonade, try the pink one!
CribsNBibs MIHP: Nice time
Kharisman Brown: Very nice place with rooftop for renting.
Emma Reedy: This place is awesome! I loved the option for the "choose your own adventure" drink where you get to design your own specialty drink. Don't be intimidated though!! Some of my family members just wanted espresso drinks or drip coffee and they have that too. Amazing ambiance and really good vibes.
Katelyn Lorentz: The store is adorable! I did the choose your own adventure drink and it was incredible! Their muffins are also messy but so SO good!
maddie hickman: Did the choose your own adventure drink and loved it!! The bacon and cheese scone is amazing!!! Vibes and music are 10/10
Abhi kulkarni: Amazing Coffee.Best Ambiance.Simple, decent and different order method.Definitely going into Top 5 Coffee places in Detroit Metropolitan Area.P.S. Also, don’t miss out their dynamic Instagram counter at the corner.
Joseph Sames: Lovely space. Come for the space, stay for the lemonade
Jason Schwanke: Interesting idea and nice staff.Just didn't care for it personally. Scone I got was really dry and bland and the coffee was good, but nothing I thought was anything special.
Jessica Y: We do our monthly women's entrepreneur meetings here and it's such a good experience. Their products like the lemonade and coffee adventure are so good. Pure, whole ingredients. Their flavor combinations are in point. Bea herself is so kind and nice and the space is excellent for small-moderately sized events. Highly recommend.
Jennifer Sherbow: This afternoon my husband and I stopped in to get a lemonade slushie (we've always been fans of Bea's!). We were the only customers inside. The young girl behind the counter was much more interested in talking to her coworker about a social media group she belonged to, than to take our order. When she finally tore herself away from her phone, she rudely answered our questions, shoved the drinks in our hands, and told us "we are all set," before going back to her cell phone. The lemonade was about as tart as her attitude. Disappointing experience.
Brian Veneri: This was by far the best cafe experience I have ever had!! Amazing staff too!

Baydoun Baydoun: f you're a coffee aficionado, then you'll love the coffee beans from this amazing Roasting Plant Coffee! This place has some of the best coffee beans in town, sourced from some of the most exotic places around the world. The aroma of the freshly roasted beans alone is enough to make your mouth water! The staff at this coffee shop is knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, and he'll happily guide you through their selection to help you find the perfect bean to suit your taste. he offers a range of roast levels, from light to dark, and they'll even grind the beans for you if you don't have your own grinder at home. What really sets this coffee shop apart, though, is the quality of their beans. They only use the highest quality Arabica beans, which are roasted in small batches to ensure maximum freshness and flavor. And let me tell you, the flavor is out of this world! Whether you're looking for a rich, bold espresso or a smooth, mellow pour-over, they've got you covered.Overall, if you're looking for a coffee shop that takes their beans seriously, then this is the place for you. You won't find better quality beans anywhere else in town, and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. So why not stop by today and try some of their amazing coffee beans for yourself? You won't regret it!

Mariah: Good but quite pricy for the size of the drink.
Bruce Seiler: Love the drinks and beans from this place. Staff is always helpful on selecting beans and making suggestions for different liquid refreshments. Much better than stuffy chains.Recommended dishes Coffee Brewed, Coffee Experience …More

The Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company: what do users think?
Sharvil Patankar: Terrible treatment of their workers. Terrible leadership. They would rather close their stores than unionize their workforce.
Tahleez Bartels: One of the secret, pure delights hidden along Woodward AVE.This is a café that I would regularly visit on my weekends. I've enjoyed minutes to hours of conversation, studying, and writing while admiring the quaint esthetic that this shop has to offer. The interior has a bucolic vibe joined with a hipster, concert, after-show feel. The tables and floor are primarily made out of wood, but the walls are brick. Sitting in the room itself is calming, almost like drinking coffee in a window sill on a sun-lit morning. The Staff have always been kind to me. They are friendly and unafraid of questions and small conversations. My only complaint is that when they call out orders, I at times fail to hear them, and my drink will be sitting at the counter for quite some time, but this has only happened once or twice.I have had a little of everything in terms of their menu. Both their savory and sweet options are beyond delectable. Their sandwiches are large in portions and delicious. Their Coffee is rich and sweet. My personal favorite dessert will always be an affogato, but just about every option has been/will be enjoyable. The price is a bit high for the amount of coffee you receive, and I would even go as far as saying the food is in the same boat. I enjoy both non the less, and don't mind paying a bit more for the quality of food.I would advise the coffee lovers and the interior admirers of the Detroit area to come and visit The Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company. I would recommend this café for morning breakfasts, casual lunches, day-time dates, or simple alone time for studying/relaxing throughout the day.
clifford konstans: Just not a vibe
me myself: Too bad they're closed. The idiots who are protesting this place. Keep pressing on.
Andrew Spaulding: Used to be a great coffee shop, but the quality of employees went down drastically over the past couple years. They should fire everyone, hire new staff, and reopen!
Steven Long (Scuba Steve): A business shouldn't exist if it can't treat their employees with respect and pay a living wage!
Grace B: unfair to workers
Pierre Letourneau: Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes Takeout: Yes Delivery: YesMore
Brandon Slaugher: A very uninviting place for non white people. Terrible food, but great coffee. If only people of color weren't treated so badly by the employees. I personally was assumed to be a homeless person by the cashier for being brown and wearing a winter coat? This place is not good for Detroit or its citizens and it is my hope that they'll close their doors very soon and go somewhere else so they can stop ruining our city's culture. Also, who eats unsalted avocado? Terrible, terrible, place.
Don Copolla: I caught covid in their establishment due to them making their workers work while they are sick. Dont go here.
Natasha Jaffar: beware!!! they have been forcing employees with covid to work at their locations!!!
Marianne Gendron: This company doesn't care about their customers and workers health condition. Not a safe place.
abbie ward: This company doesn't care about their workers.
Parth Bhatt: Great coffee place, would highly recommend it if you're in downtown. Staff is nice and friendly. Cozy ambiance!Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: No …More

I even found myself chatting with the barista making my drinks while I was waiting, and that felt like it cu wait time in half! I honestly cannot wait to go back and have another perfectly made coffee, thank you!!

Lucky Detroit - Coffee & Espresso: what do users think?
Paris Damselfly: Totally decent place. Nice service. Entertaining hipster decor. Good biscotti. Our beverages had no flavor - very watery. Got iced dirty chai and iced matcha. We didn't hang out because two little girls screaming & climbing all over the tables acting like they were at an amusement park (while parents ignored them) really ruined the vibe. From the moment we walked in we had to shout over them.
Dominic Moes: Great smooth lattes
Melissa from Michigan: Adorable coffee shop is a must visit. I ordered a cappuccino and it was delicious. I got no sweetener added and at first sip it tasted like chocolate. We also tried a couple pastries, chocolate Crossiant and cherry Danish. The Danish was perfectly buttery.
Ron Reed: This is contrary service only. The coffee is excellent. Lucky Detroit is one if two great choices for coffee in Corktown. The other being James Oliver.Lucky has a much smaller selection of baked goods, but it's a great place to read alone or relax with a friend. It is usually library quiet.I recommend Lucky if you're looking for a simple place to catch up with a friend in Corktown.Parking: Parking on the side street or Michigan Avenue has always been available when I drive over.
Derrick Hale: Never had the same thing twice but it’s always delicious.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Adi V: Wonderful coffee! Great place to get work done and great pastries.
Fatme Amine: There is nothing lucky about this place. The barista was very cut and dry… appeared to be high on drugs. Also, the caramel latte she made me was cold and nasty. It had a weird after taste.
Ja'La Jones: Great service, Jason was amazing. The Carmel latte tastes so original. I highly recommend
Nick: Recommended dishes Vanilla Bean LatteMore
Sandra Richmond: Wow. Love the atmosphere and the taste of the coffee. Try brown sugar latte. The taste of this coffee was excellent. The place is very cool inside. Upstairs, nice to relax and have that corktown smooth atmosphere experience. The staff was nice and helpful. The raspberry turnover was yummy. Will definitely be back to have more coffee and get a haircut right next door.
Yaz Rojas: Excelente opción para tomar un buen café, de grano recién molido. Hecho en maquina de expresso. Ambiente muy agradable.
Tim Howard: Clean and niceAnd I enjoy the coffee

Kevin Thomas (Gasstationinnovi): Probably one of the coolest coffee shops I’ve been too. Love the second floor area. Staff is great and the coffee is terrific.
Maggie Williams: Hands down the best dirty chai I’ve ever had. Little pricy, given the size of their drinks, but absolutely worth it. Pastries were good, but did not taste fresh baked; still good though. If you’re passing through or needing somewhere new to try then absolutely come here. 🏻.
Janna Glaze: The coffee was great, the place is very small. Just a few small tables, so difficult to browse on your computer while you’re there
alma coleman: I stop for coffee while visiting Detroit. This local spot had the best dirty chai I've ever tasted. The service was great. A super unique feature is that the coffee shop shares space with a barber shop on the other side. You can enjoy a nice cup of coffee while waiting for a fresh cut. SpaceLab Detroit: what do users think?
Steve Anderson: I had a great experience at SpaceLab. Despite the fact that we booked last minute, we were able to work in a private office for the whole day. Everyone was went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The Wi-Fi was fast, there were great food options in the neighborhood. The day was very fairly priced. We would definitely come back!
Mari Byrd: I have had a wonderful experience at Spacelab Detroit as a member. The office is a whole vibe. It’s very welcoming and peaceful. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. And, Spacelab Detroit often offers workshops to grow your business. I’ve also been introduced to other business owners that have partnered with me to accomplish my business goals. This place is Awesome!I highly recommend Spacelab as your go to coworking space in Detroit! Top notch. ❤️
Elmer Boutin: I needed a place to co-work with a colleague and picked SpaceLab Detroit because of its central location and very reasonable daily pass rates. I was quite impressed by the facility and the amenities offered. There are great views of the city, comfortable working areas and complimentary coffee, water, and soft drinks. The people there are very helpful and welcoming. All in all, it's a great place. I highly recommend SpaceLab if you need a coworking space, even for just a day.
S Watts: helped out my businesses alot!!
Orletta Caldwell: Great place and views to get work done.
Alnoor Virani: It's a nice place, more geared towards architects and what not
Kendal Bowman: Great space for working and the friendliest staff
Cell Core Creative: We recently attended a fantastic networking event put on by the Urban Entrepreneurship Initiative and hosting by SpaceLab Detroit. It was a fantastic event rich with talent and inclusivity and I would highly recommend business owners and entrepreneurs to visit and utilize this awesome space.
Sheila Palmer: Great for people in trade oriented business such as interiors m
Tariq Abdullah: Very impressive long-term office opertunities. Great landing office for out of town professionals. I really enjoyed my time there. I'll definitely be going back to SpaceLab!
Osiris Cancelled: Good place. Nice interior designs. Went here on a field trip and was best time of my life!
Tori Ramataboee: Affordable rates, accommodating services, and awesome location/views right downtown. Karen was great to work with! Highly recommend and hope to be back in the future for a group meeting.
Joshua Jenks: This co-working space is be amazing. I wish I lived closer so I could have a membership here rather than the office space I have with one if the major "chains" if you will. What stood out the most was that I parked across from the Passport Agency and then handles business for a trip I am taking. I looked up what co-working spaces where available and this space offered a $20 day pass. It's a match. I check directions to the place and I've literally wandered my way to the front door in a matter of 60 seconds. The space is amazing and the staff was fantastic. My one suggestion would be to soundproof the telephone booths better. Much better. I had not utilized a phone booth style meeting room before and thought that it would be my favorite part. Even with the sound troubles, there were other spaces to meet in with privacy. Moreso the tiny sense of community was something I really miss about working on location and I felt like this place had it. I'm quiet and a bit of a wallflower however it was apparent given the collaboration I witnessed. Would you recommend checking this be space out if you are in town and seriously consider getting a membership here if you are looking to work in city and take in the view of the river while you work!
Travis J: I love this place! The owners are awesome. The are so encouraging and supportive. And all of the small business owners who work out of here are really friendly.
Tsiborg Computer Specialist: Great people, Great service. I'm moving here
La Jo (POWEROrgMath): Our POWER Org Math families, sponsors and partners enjoy the environment and benefits associated with the accessible STEM and creative professionals.
Doreen Hunter: Yes, I work here and absolutely enjoy the co working environment.
Mark Wasiak: SpaceLab is in a great location in downtown Detroit, just a couple blocks from the energetic Campus Martius, plus Q-Line and People Mover stops. The facility itself is very welcoming, consisting of an open floor plan with individual offices around the perimeter. Three meeting spaces in the area provide ample room for tenants to host customers.Karen and Bobby are very attentive and helpful owners who work to make sure tenants have what they need. Monthly after-work "win" celebrations help to bring a sense of community at SpaceLab.
Adam Davis: Great Space!
Michal Catari: As member of SpaceLab Detroit, my company Wolf Virtual Reality, LLC has been introduced to many visitors during tours and hundreds of guest at social event which are held each month. I would recommend SpaceLab as a meeting space and work environment. The owners are also very personable as they are always willing to help. With close proximity to CoBo center and easy access to the Q-line and people mover.
Phillip Caldwell: Space Lab is a great co-working space. The options are cost efficient. In addition, I periodically have private meetings here and the location has always been convenient for my guests. Great venue Team SpaceLab!
