U of D Jesuit High School and Academy: what do users think?
Mark Blum: I've been blessed in business and in life as a DIRECT RESULT of the lessons I learned from the compassionate educators at "The High".Their dedication toward mentoring any student willing to learn is unsurpassed in ANY secondary school in the city. An average student, I was exposed to committed people who demonstrated how to survive slings and arrows in life's path. Each of the grey hairs on my head came from a life experience, some without scars. May God bless each and everyone of them. AMDGI graduated in 1968.
Frank Marra: Academics, Ethics, Athletics. Men for Others.
William Gilmore: Still the best in the city or suburbs. Men for Others makes REAL MEN! Best experience of my years of education. Go CUBS! Class of 1962.
Patty Sheridan: Both my husband and my son attended and graduated form UDJ. Even separated by 30 years both loved their experience at the High and both give it 5 stars. As the wife and mother of a UDJ graduate I couldn’t agree more! Send your son here!
Darryl Foster: I've worked here for seven years, and loved every minute of it!!!
Brian W: Class of 1992.What a wonderful school. I learned so very much.I won't live in Detroit again, but if I did, I would send my own children there.
R.B. Palmer: Impeccable
aaronsfury: A great school, going through big changes for the better :)
Dan Hancock: I can't speak to the academics as I was visiting for a sporting event. What I can tell you is that the facilities were very nice from what I could see.
Matthew Banks: Almost 15 years later and choosing U of D to attend is still one of the best decisions that I ever made. The academics are on par with any school one can find if not superior and more challenging. The most important lesson was how to be a positive force in people's lives and in every facet of life in which we encounter. The dedication of the teachers and staff to provide both the best education possible and the invaluable guidance made me feel truly blessed to be surrounded by that much support. May The High continue on for another 100 years.
Scott Roman: A truly life changing experience with incredible staff members. There is a strong sense of brotherhood and community among the students. Greatest choice I've ever made.
Mark Proulx: I graduated in 1971. I use what I learned there every day.
Kirk Dedenbach: U of D Jesuit is an outstanding school, and does a wonderful job of not just educating young men, but also of teaching them to be "men for others". The staff all believe deeply in the mission of the school, and it comes through in what and how they teach and interact with the students. The facilities are very good, and will get better in the fall of 2016, when the new science and technology wing opens. Something else that has always impressed me is the level of alumni support and commitment - there are numerous families who have graduated their fourth generation from UDJ. The only downside is the location, which isn't in the best neighborhood, but like most of the city, it is on the upswing.
Timothy Deters: True men for others
Robert Rayes: Wonderful high school experience - prepared me for an easy time in Ann Arbor at UM.
