It was truly life changing, not only for me but for all my former classmates. I watched it transform a lot of people personally, for the better . Dallas Kennedy: Planned to attend this school for massage therapy however, the only person that seems knowledgeable and helpful is Michelle. I went to speak with Jeff he seemed extremely uninterested in helping me to attend this school. The conversation was a complete waste of time for questions that could have been handled via phone. I don’t think the staff understands that not all people have the luxury to waste time. I was honestly excited to attend but have decided to explore an institution in Ann Arbor that seems to be more encouraging.
Bill Roney: I went on a tour of this massage school with my fiance, Brittney, who will be attending this school shortly. We were led on the tour by a remarkable woman, Michelle, she is very knowledgeable of the practice of massage and the history of the school and the woman who started it Irene. Michelle answered all of our questions explained everything about the school and the curriculum. Michelle then took us on a guided tour of the entire School. If you are interested in pursuing a career as a masseuse this is the school you want to go to, I highly recommend Irene's Myomassology Institute.
N: I’ve gone for 2 massages recently; one at the Irenes clinic and the 2nd with a massage therapist who told me they recently graduated from the program. In both cases the massage therapists conducted “energy work.” Without asking if it was okay. This feels very uncomfortable and intrusive. Who is teaching these therapists to perform forms of Reiki without asking? No thank you.

Alison Huston: It needs to be pointed out how professional, considerate, and attentive this school's office staff, instructors, and maintenance workers have been during the Covid-19 pandemic. The amount of care they took, from the very beginning as the outbreak was recognized, to the careful consideration and process of allowing students the begin courses again on campus speaks volumes. Irene's has gone above and beyond to make sure staff, students, and clients have been educated in new protocols set to keep all safe and healthy and I for one cannot be more thankful. Online classes were provided by dedicated teachers and those who could not make the classes were individually accommodated. Kathy (the owner) has been apart of every single step in ensuring our well-being and that says so much about the pure quality of this school alone. As a student before the pandemic, I will say that all classes and instructors are exceptional. If you would like to learn massage therapy and have a passion for helping individuals, this school will feed your soul and get you where you are meant to go. Do not be disheartened by massage therapy because of the pandemic, be thankful and take advantage of the fact that such a school strives not just for your education, but your overall health and safety to the capacity that Irene's took it.

No other massage schools in Michigan had this (Trust me I looked). Than when I came to the school it was such a serene beautiful atmosphere. All the staff shockingly matched the ambiance that surrounded the school with there smiling faces. Everyone is so helpful and in a good mood. I have been to other schools and I have never just felt good while being there. This school really is good for the mind, body and soul. I'm really glad I found Irene's. I was so blessed to have found Arpa and have enjoyed many many hours of therapy. She is highly skilled, intuitive and thorough at releasing trapped nerves and tissues. I 100% recommend her and the staff at Ultimate Thai Massage in Farmington and Clinton Township.

I mentioned a couple of times to focus on specific area but she continued with her stroking the back. could have felt better using tennis ball on my back than spending the money here for a massage.

My boyfriend went because he was having back and neck pain. He asked her multiple times to make sure she had time to work on that. She said she ran out of time in a 90 minute massage so he left there still in very sore.

JADE RITTHALER: Recently had an hour long massage with Anne and it was great. Most places shorten the massage because they factor in undressing and dressing time but Greenleaf does not. It was a full hour! Her use of pressure was exactly what I asked for and she even could tell sore areas where she took special care not to make me tense up. I have decided I’m going to make this a monthly treat for myself and already booked again with Anne for the end of the month.The location is great and there is metered parking right in front. The reception area is welcoming and relaxing. They have a ton of rooms which makes me feel like they see a lot of clients which is a good sign. Some places only have one or two rooms and bookings are hard to get. I like I can schedule online too which makes things easier. I really recommend this place!!!!
Kayla Reynaud: Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy at Greenleaf bodywork has changed my life on a daily basis. I’ve suffered from chronic back pain and sciatica for years, and this is the best I’ve ever felt. I went from an 8 on the pain scale most days to now a bad day is a 3. I sleep better and have a better quality of life because of Kelly and Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy. But all the therapists are amazing, highly recommend!

Lynn Mubita: I have been here twice, each time with Brad. The first time was after a back injury with residual soreness in my left lower back. Brad was attentive to my request and performed miracles on my back with a deep tissue massage that seemed tweaked for my injury and included stretches and other treatments I have never had before. Since that session, I've had no pain or soreness. The second time was a more standard deep tissue (or what I'm used to), but was no less disappointing. He has great hands and is exceptional at his craft. I will be back.

Brittaney Tinsley: Went for prenatal massage it was meh. Not worth paying $60 for an hour that's for sure. I was very relaxed and it was nice but instead of getting in the muscles (I know there are different practices because I am pregnant) it was just like a skin rub. That's not what I was looking for, what they said I would be getting, and not what I paid for. I felt rushed also. I won't be back. The staff was kind. There's better out there that are cheaper. I expressed areas of intense pain in my upper and lower back and shoulders but that was not addressed at all. It was just my skin being rubbed with very very minimal oil to the point her hands were getting caught on my skin and that was painful. It wasn't a great expereince.

It has a cool gemstone poster on the wall alongside her massage school certificates that prove she’s been practicing for a long time and is worth every penny! There’s a sweet little corner with a chair, hooks for hanging clothes, and a glass jar for stowing my jewelry.I’ll get more personal about why I love Hannah. I visited her every month for an hour massage during my efforts to get pregnant through In Vitro Fertilization. It took three tries over the course of a few years. Seeing Hannah felt essential to my own self-care that eventually led to me getting pregnant with twins and delivering them both safely, vaginally and at full-term!Prior to this, while I was waiting for a missed miscarriage to complete itself, I went to Hannah for help urging it along so I could begin to heal physically and move forward mentally. That session was extremely powerful on all levels. My body and spirit really need it and I think it was an important progression for Hannah, too, in her development as a massage therapist.

Susannah Goodman: Hannah is a miracle worker. I am a potter, lifting and pushing clay, hunching over the wheel for hours at a time. I work up quite the sturdy string of knots running down my spine and around my shoulder blades. I've been seeing Hannah for about a year now, and she has revived my spirits after multiple immobilizing neck strains. I've never encountered such dextrose elbows! She has a great sense of the human anatomy, and moves with agility among the various strata of muscle. Her use of aromatherapy extends the relaxing experience far beyond the actual session. If you're not seeing her yet, you're missing out.
Maggie McGuire: Far, far from your common massage. I let my body get really destroyed, and Hannah took the time to ask thoughtful questions about just what my body felt like and what I wanted to work on. She explained the reasoning and science behind what she was doing and always checked in on my comfort level when working on me. Did wonders for me! I absolutely love her strong hands, her thoughtfulness, and her obvious passion and commitment to her craft. And her place is really nice too!
Julian del Campo: Hannah gave me the best massage I've ever had. She is very professional and courteous, and a knowledgable advisor of physical well being. Her expertise is well worth the price, and I will definitively be back.Also the location is very convenient and in the middle of one of my favorite neighborhoods.
