Carlos Stewart: They treat the us like we aren't welcome out there, had a problem with my kids 3 times being able to run on the track with me. This place is ridiculous they have a target on my back , I will be canceling my membership and staying in my own community where I'm welcome. I'm sure the ymca will love to have my 100 a month.

Chloe Young: Signed my daughter and I up for parent and tot swim.The parking is awful so you will have to carry your wet haired baby to the car in the cold.There’s also only 4 changing rooms for the entire family area. For a child who can’t stand on her own, and being a single mom … it is just not something we can do. I only attended one class due to the major inconveniences.The actual class itself is fun for them! The chlorine in the pool will burn your eyes from being so strong

Jana Light: This is a nice club. It has alot of different things you can do. However, if you want to use the weight room between 4:00pm and 7:30pm, during the week, the weight room does not have enough space or equipment to a accomodate the number of members using it. In addition, 80% of the members that are using it during that time are teenagers that are socializing and working out in groups of 3 to 4. So if you need to use a piece of equipment they are using, you could be waiting a long time. Makes for a frustrating workout. Also, the Cafe doesn't have good food like they did prior to Covid. Hoping to see improvements.

Jack Baldridge: My family has had a membership for over 10 years. Best athletic club in Genesee County no doubt. It is completely worth the money if you use all the amenities.

Noah Landon: Just because COVID happened 3 years ago doesn’t mean you can never close at 10 PM ever again. Nothing is making this place close at 9, yet they still do. Also, showers and locker rooms are open until 9:30, but you can’t use the gym until 9:30. Even back before COVID this rule didn’t make sense. As long as everyone is out at closing time, why does it matter if I’m showering or playing pickleball for the extra 30 minutes? Benefits are that it’s a great facility, tennis courts are free with a membership, and there’s pretty much something to do for everyone. However, I have had a lot of problems at this place within the 11 years I’ve been a member, some of my own doing, some definitely not of my own doing. Most of that is in the past, and now my biggest gripe is the hours. Close at 10 again and I’ll change my review. No excuse anymore.

Instructors are great people. Locker room staff is super friendly. Clean and well maintained. Lots of choices for a workout.

Jeff Stancroff: Ascension Genesys is a great facility with all the equipment and amenities to reach your goals. They have a wide variety of equipment, capable personal training staff and tons of programs to cover your needs regardless of where your starting or your end goal. If your looking to get back in shape or want to upgrade your gym this is the best place in the area.

This is a Racist establishment employed with unprofessional management team who is not developed with basic communication. Do NOT join this facility unless you are caucasian!!!!!! They do NOT want you in there if you are BLACK!!!!!I should have Known that they are racists and have no clue about a diversity when I saw that their team is not diverse. NOT a single minority working !!!!!!!!Will be taking immediate actions but thought I would warn and leave a comment for others to save you the hustle!

hal morgan: I was a member for the last 2-3 years. It was a very frustrating process. I was regularly over billed. I paid a fee up front because I did not know they had a special promotion and the staff took the fee from me. I had to make a special trip during business hours to have the special promotion applied to my account. The office people reminded me I could cancel anytime and they would charge me the regular start up fee. It seemed like they were daring me, but I needed the facility in winter so I could be active when weather is cold. I enjoy tennis and it is how I stay active. Sadly the club does not understand how vital they are to the community enough to be fair with members.During Covid I did not feel comfortable using the facility and did not after covid because they changed their hours and it did not fit my schedule. I was still paying them to freeze my account, but they would only do it for so many months before they put me back to active. I did not contact them soon enough so they put me back to active for a month before I could get my account back on freeze. They would not hear that I did not plan on using the facility since I liked to use the facility late evenings. I was trying to determine if I could work with the new schedule since I primarily use the facility during the winter for Tennis.The end of my membership happened when my auto billing did not go through and I did not make my freeze payment 2 months and the active month. I was not using the facility and put off taking care of the bill.They indicated they sent me a final bill which they may have, but I did not recall getting it. I told them I would pay the balance and wanted to keep the membership, but they had sent me over to a collection agency already (that is how I found out my membership was cancelled). They charged me the $299 cancellation fee on top of my current bill of $249 and now the collection agency added on a fee and I owe $660. So my bill more than doubled.If you are looking for an indoor tennis facility Davison has a better setup with more leagues and a great guy running it. Save yourself the hassle of being over-billed (hard to catch when you auto pay), unforgiving staff who are cold and not responsive. This is a facility with no idea about how to treat tennis players and maybe other members.I see where they have responded to other complaints, but not to this one. It shows me they just don’t get it.

Jennifer: I love Genesys and excited to be going back after a summer break from the club. I've tried other facilities..and there's nothing like it. I appreciate the staff, management and like that it's always clean and welcoming. The monthly membership is not cheap..but in my opinion you get what you pay for.

Brian Warner: My 14 year old daughter did this class for a month (thus far) and is reaping the benefits immediately for volleyball. If you have a child that plays school or club sports that could use some physical conditioning in preparation for their respective sport, this class is a MUST. Very well ran. Be prepared to push physical boundaries! Very beneficial. Jerry knows how to get the most out of your young athlete!

The coed HIIT class is a great blend of cardio and strength training that always delivers an awesome workout. Jerry keeps the workouts fun and engaging, and the classes are always full of great people. I would highly recommend checking this place out.

Kerry Sanford: The trainers and staff at First Class Athletics are top notch. They keep the energy in the room at an all time high, pay special attention to form-assuring prevention of injury, are welcoming to anyone and everyone- which provides a judgement free feel, and are willing to work with all schedules to assure you get your fitness needs met. I can personally say from experience the personal training, women's bootcamp, barre class, and yoga have all suited me well and I am in the best possible shape I could be in. If your looking for a gym to attend, I would highly recommend First Class Athletics as they are the best :)

Shay M: Nearly a year ago I joined FCA with no knowledge of gym equipment or knowing the first thing about weight training. You could not ask for more knowledgeable, compassionate or supportive trainers than Jerry, Isaac and Makenna. The sense of community among members and staff is truly something special that I don't think you would find in a chain franchise. It has been a tough but rewarding experience and I am full of gratitude for the training and support I have received.

Debbie Alderson: I started the coed boot camp at FCA a year ago with a group of friends. I have never worked out before and new that I need to start doing something as I am not getting any younger! I have stuck with it consistently for this past year and I have to say FCA is the best thing ever. I have noticed positive results which is very exciting. Jerry, Isaac and Mac are a great team and push you to do your best. What I love is that they can modify any part of the workout to fit your needs. Lauren Trombly: This gym is incredible! The owner Jerry is so handsome and easy to get along with. He’s very creative with his work out routines; no day is the same. He plays fantastic upbeat music to keep you jumping around. His staff are also very handsome, but not as handsome as Jerry. So tall with big muscles. I just love this gym. Nothing compares!

Kari _: I have received nice care through Insight. The staff is awesome. Noelle does a good job. She's just only available for one hour a day. That doesn't give people much options. Bilal, the personal trainer does a good job. I like his encouragement . It helps for sure.I do have some areas though I'm not really thrilled with. One is in the pool. There's only one set of stairs to get in for patients. That isn't good or safe if it was to get busy. The hot tub would be better with more jets in it, especially for therapy patients.

Immaculate Pearls: Considered membership. Did the tour. Pool looks like it has Chicken Pox!!!!! Flint water is still poisonous at this location.

Sandy Ross: Noelle is great very helpful and knowledgeable but the pool needs some TLC the algae that is on the pool surface and pool walls need to be took care of as patients pay from their insurance this should be took care of as well as the steam room floor and the women's locker room floor I am allergic to this and really can't continue to get in the pool and break out .I give Noelle 5 stars but can you do something about these issues

Roberta Wagner: I have been going to pool therapy for over 2 years now. Noelle, my therapist is amazing and has done so much for me. However, lately I have been noticing large spots on the bottom of the pool. I have complained and inquired about them several times. They are growing in size and number. The last few pool sessions the chlorine levels have been so high my skin is dry and itchy and there is now a rash on my leg. I can only guess they have raised the chlorine to combat whatever is growing on the bottom of the pool. Really disappointed the clean, safe pool is being let go like this.

phyllis sykes: I'm back, after 3years. Some of the old staff is back, Walt, and I've met the new staff, one person in particular, Noelle who was extremely helpful in getting reacquainted.A few things need to be adjusted... I think it's mandatory for facility to have water filters at the faucets.

Ryan Binaei: Clean and nice establishment. The staff is extremely friendly. Especially the receptionist, Anthony and Maddie. The trainer, Bilal, has helped me immensely in recovery and strength. In addition to the training I’ve also received great nutritional advice from the nutritionist Jake, who has made sure I’m getting the proper fuel into my body to keep my recovery on track. The facility is large with plenty of machines and free weights. Along with a track, basketball court, pool, and more There’s plenty to keep you active and busy

Tyler Brockway: This place is horrible. The atmosphere is egotistical and everyone thinks their a bodybuilder it's quite hilarious but also annoying. Good luck canceling your membership if you have to move for a job or any reason at all. All they care about is money and will not allow you to cancel for any reason whatsoever. You can find better gyms for half of what they charge here. The staff will also continue to harass you about paying your balance even after you've told them multiple times that you moved and will not be coming back.

Bob Brewbaker: I recently joined The Gym and have loved it. I was a 25+ year member of Hurley Health and Fitness and tried several other local Fitness Centers. Two key things about joining a gym is showing up and having a helpful staff that truly cares. Vinnie cares about everyone’s success to achieve their goal. Also very important to me are the friendships we all gain working out together. The Gym’s new location is awesome with plenty of lockers and also large showers. If you are looking for a new gym, I highly suggest trying The Gym , whether you are a power lifter or someone trying to stay in shape. The Gym fits all needs to conquer your goals.

Eddie Valentine: It's always clean and active with a ton of things to do. Large gym, MMA equipment up stars a room for yoga, racketball rooms and a pool. For me the saunas are perfect you have the choice of a dry one or a steam on so it's a great place to relax after a nice work out. Staffs polite and works fast to get you in an out no issues so far and im about to renew my yearly membership.

Some staff did not know any information regarding the class and I had to wait on hold and talk to about 3 people but we worked it out!

Their hot tub has a ton of floaty particles, so that could use a refresh too.They're obviously renovating the ladies locker room, but there's a leak in the ceiling and a millipede fell on me eww. Hubby says the guys locker room is gross.
