Maureen Skopp: I ordered take out of the lake perch. I had the same thing a few months back and it wasn't very good. I figured I would give them one more chance and see how it goes. Well this one was even worse. The portion was a lot smaller with the fish and the fries were either not all the way cooked or over cooked. Very disappointing. Definitely not worth it. I won't be going back that's for sure. Their quality has gone down hill.

Zach Naif: Terrible bar the worst I've been to. I got an angry orchard and there was a nasty rust ring around the top of the bottle. I asked for a glass and got a dirty glass coverd in fingerprints. Then I had ordered a plain backen cheese burger and got a fully loaded one. The waitress noticed and offerd to take it back and when she did I over heard them complain about me and the food being remade when she offered it to me. The burger tasted like cheep beef and or was sub par I gave 2 stars because the frys where good. Would not ever recommend this bar to anyone.
Dennis Farney: What a hidden gem. Coming straight from a funeral with some family, we needed some distraction and levity. Our server Kayla was an absolute blast and kept our spirits high. Great food, absolute fire beer list, and the price is right. While we aren’t from Flint, I know exactly where I’ll go every time I visit family. Thank you so much for helping us out in a time of need, and thank you for being awesome!

The place was empty (only 2 other people) and they said because they were short staffed and it was almost lunch rush so they couldn't make our food. Okay, how are you going to make food for the "lunch rush" if you can't handle making food for 10 people when the place is dead??Whatever, just proves that nostalgia makes you blind I guess. We won't be back.

Jaime Portillo: Update... Myself and my wife came back and the food and drinks were great. Different staff than the last time and this may have been the driver behind the great service. But the Torch redeemed itself in my head. Well be back soon!have been a long standing, faithful customer of the Torch for years. I have always stood by and considered their burgers, best in Genesee County. It had been since July since we stopped in and decided to grab a burger. Very much night and day from our previous experiences. We sat by the stairwell leading towards the bathroom due to limited seating and during our meal, could smell the restroom stench the entire time. We were bothered by knats the entire time and our meals that had been phenomenal in the past were very subpar. Our burgers, ordered at medium rare were partially raw and the fries were overcooked. The wings were in fact still good as well as our drinks. For those two items, we gave the two stars. Would definitely go back but not in the near future until better housekeeping is done and better consistent food prep.

Jeff Stancroff: The Torch Bar and Grill is the quintessential hole in the wall bar, since it is tucked away in Buckham Alley you likely won't find it unless you are told about it. If you go you will find a relatively small bar that has very good service and one of the best bar burgers around. If you are into supporting local business this is a great stop for you.

David Sands: As some background information, I've never been to a bar before even though I'm of age, and my friend highly recommended this place to me. She hyped me up on it for 3 days (we didn't realize they closed on Mon/Tue).Today we got there and I was into the vibe, it wasn't crowded or noisy., just some background chatter and comfortable music. We ordered drinks and food, while I suddenly realized I should check if the bar takes tap to pay or would allow me to enter in my card information to pay. The waitress informed us that neither are possible and while me and my friend tried to figure out options to pay, I left $20 dollars with the waitress to just cover as much as I can in the meantime, before we even finished are first drinks or got our food.We shortly left to go get cashback or find another option, when returning to the bar we were told that the waitress dumped our drinks out (claiming we drank "well over half of them" while, for mine that was true, there was over 2/3 of the other glass full. We ordered another round, and received our food that was rock cold.After paying the bill in full, and tipping a low amount, the waitress Kayla B. proceeded to run out in to the alley and scream at us about tipping so poor even though we supposedly "ran out on the tab" (that we paid). She also told us to "never come back". Which is probably the case.I was disappointed in the quality of care from the waitress, but due to the circumstances I can't speak much to the quality of the food (it was cold and old, and the waitress gave no option to reheat or had any care whatsoever for our stay.)Beer was beer, tasted fine. I have no real complaints about anything as I can tell, but this review wouldn't even be posted if it weren't for the unprofessional and rude waitress.
Bomber “Bomber” Bash: Probably the best dive bar in all of Michigan! Hidden in a alley and with a cool view and super amazing vintage bar.You feel like you have travelled back in time. Solid menu options, will cook the burger super rare, cold beer, and varied selection of alcohol.It is well used but clean and sweet vintage bathrooms. Staff is friendly and interactive!Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Vanilla Bean: We have literally been sitting here waiting for our food, including our appetizers, for almost a hour. Then when we inquired about our food, she came to our table yelling at us and that wasn’t cool. People looking at us while the waitress was yelling at us too. She claim she was waitressing more tables than everyone else was. But the women sitting next to us had a good waitress. It was a ton of people who came in after us, got their food and left the restaurant.We got tired of waiting and went to the bar to pay for our lemonades. We explain to the bartender that we never received our food not even our appetizers and she replied, Oh well, you should’ve came to tell me maybe I could have done something about it . Now, what could a bartender do about a waitress not bringing our food to our table???Just disappointing our waitress never came back to say oh do you guys need a refill to update us on the status are of our appetizers or our food so we just decided we weren’t going wait for our food any longer because there’s no possible way that other people are walking in after us and leaving and we’re still sitting here waiting for our food.My sister ordered soup. How long does it take for a chef to cook soup?? Tobias Lerke: The Eberson has a new theme and name, Pop Rox - a theme of adult candy drinks (actually tasty drinks) and DJ music, definitely a place designed as the only college bar in the city. It is no longer a barcade so no games, just music and eccentric decor. There is a lot of empty space so would either add more seating or some type of filler. Most the other bars downtown are more dark, hole in the wall type places or designed for fancy older people to drink wine, Pop Rox is a refreshing upbeat youthful additive to the Flint night life. It would be a nice youthful end cap after enjoying down town attractions. Perfect location where you can walk to most of downtown area and right next to the Capital Theater, so enjoy a performance then a drink afterwards. First time visiting since the change over in theme and name, don't like how they still use the old reviews and photos, it is far too different now to make them relevent or even accurate. Recommend deleting The Eberson Google Maps account and creating a new Pop Rox account otherwise many customers will be confused by the photos, videos, and reviews. There is not a lot of group seating so a larger group will find it difficult to sit together, seems it is more for dating or a few friends to hang. Also recommend adding more seating on the second floor, there is just a large open space not really designed for standing but no place to sit either. Maybe a pool table or something could fit, give drinkers something to do, maybe a Dance Dance Revolution game.The concern is with all the other options downtown for drinking and eating, the main blood flow for this bar staying alive are the young college students which the campuses may not fully recover in attendance due to Covid for several more years. I recommend marketing like crazy to the students and posting around the UoM, MSU, Kettering, and Mott campuses, especially the local dorms. Would also build up Instagram, Tik Tik, and Facebook posts, even offer a discount or free samplers to those who post while there to build up the marketing online quickly.

Jaycob Richardson: Pretty cool place, fun games, but needs an updated schedule. I tried going in there last night with some friends (Saturday) and they were closed. It was weird to find out due to the door saying Thursday-Saturday and the schedule on google saying the same thing.
Ascendant Warface: Great atmosphere, comfortable seating. I've been to a few arcade bars similar to this, but this one is lacking something that is very important. I HIGHLY recommend converting the arcade machines/slot machines into accepting tokens, tokens that come with ordering drinks/food. Maybe add a few games such as guitar hero & Mario kart. I'm used to going to arcade bars and playing with the tokens they provide, sales of food/drinks will increase and make up for the cost of the slot machines that are currently accepting quarters. I came here and didn't even wanna play the arcade machines because it just felt off to me, because I never had to pay with quarters. This place could have so much more potential.

G Flesher: The "arcade" is a complete joke. Most of the games were out of order and the one pinball machine that was working had a busted left flipper. The place is small overall but the vibe is fairly cool so if you are looking for a bar lounge you may like it.
Brian Tresnak: Very cool concept and we're fortunate to have a space like this downtown. The only bummer is that many of the games weren't working when we were there, including both pinball machines. Good cocktails, great crowd.
CHristopher Hagerty: Excellent concept drinks and video games who can't love that? The only thing I have to say is some of the games need to be fixed and you need to add a few more games.
J.D.: The atmosphere was really nice. The bartenders were professional also and the atmosphere was aesthetically pleasing. They also played great music. The problem lies in what we had originally came for; the games. I tried both pinball machines and they were broken. Half of the arcade games were broken as well. I did find about 3 games that worked without issue but 3 out of 20 machines is not good. Next time i go to downtown Flint, I will be skipping this place. Maybe one day they will get someone in there to fix their machines!

Aris Klobucar: Went here with a group of friends, the drinks weren't good (mine literally just tasted like cough syrup, nobody at our table finished theirs bc of how bad they were), the food felt overpriced for what it was, and the bartenders had an attitude and kept acting as if we were annoying them when we were trying to order. also they kept turning the music up extremely loudly to the point of where we had to yell to hear each other, and combined with having some of the games be loud it was a lot. maybe we just had an off experience but we wont go again.
Joshua Spencer: I love this place! Great space, great staff, locally owned and created, and a fun place to hang out with friends, even before or after dinner, or a show. You’ll find it easily in the heart of downtown.

Both were made very well and had a good flavor.The service was fast and the waitress was very kind and polite. I sadly can't say anything about the drinks because it was a bit early for us to drink booze, but we will be going back to try the rest of the food after our experience.Definitely give this little bar a visit if you have the time. Prices were very fair also, only paid 25$ after tip for us both to eat.
