Ryan Walker: After having our wall torn up to get to bad pipes that needed replacing, my wife and I happened to come across Michigan Bathroom LLC. The business that our insurance company sent out to run the estimates wasn't willing to do any of the aesthetic improvements we wanted to make, they just wanted to restore as is, even though that was going to be nearly impossible. So I asked them if we could choose our own contractor.As I was looking for local contractors, I came across Michigan Bathroom LLC and called in for an estimate. Justin came over within just a day or two and he instantly set our minds at ease coming in with a quote very similar to the other company our insurance company had recommended.We elected to hire him for the job last October to renovate our bathroom. He did such an awesome job from beginning to end! Communication was superb and his genuine demeanor let us know from the very beginning that he wasn't just a contractor but a friend.There were some things that delayed the project that were beyond his control, such as delays in national shipping for the materials he needed, but, all-in-all, he did just an absolutely superb job and the guys that he contracted for the floor, walls and paint were fantastic, too! Brian Stuk: Justin and his team did a PHENOMINAL job with our bathroom remodeling job. Ripped out old shower insert, fixtures and door. Replaced with floor to ceiling ceramic tile, Delta fixtures including rainshower head and new shower door. Removed and replaced 20 year old cabinetry. Installed new quartz counter top, dual sinks and fixtures. Remodeled half bath as well. Fully licensed and bonded. Worked quickly and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day (barely knew anyone was there). Was a great experience from beginning to end. Jessica Schocker: The guy showed up over 30 minutes late. Then he came in to look over the job. He never introduced himself to me, just walked in. He asked me questions about what I wanted, but would interrupt me when I would answer. He saw my husband working in the other room on a zoom call and went out of his way to introduce himself to my husband. When we got the estimate a few weeks later, it included several things we said we did not want and missed things we said we wanted. Proof that he did not listen. Terrible experience.

candice sanborn: Needed a new bathroom vanity. Walked in and gentleman looked us up and down and stated the lower end items were in this area. He kept leaving us to go in the back including trying to pawn us off on a secretary who had no idea what to do. He said things like that's an expensive pick you might want this lower cost option instead. Also very snooty and condescending. I know when its my day off and running errands I dress comfortable in shorts and T-shirt but you can't judge a book by it's cover. Bought our high end fully loaded big vanity at competitor.. Never do business with or recommend.

Mary Kay Hill: Our remodel timeframe fell during a pandemic, when all six of us were home the entire time our whole first floor was being remodeled. My kids were being taught by me, my husband was working from the home office, and we had a huge remodel going on at the same time. Guess what? Our experience with New Design, Inc. was positive from the very start of our interaction until the very last item was finished. We are so so so (did I say so yet?) thrilled with the entire outcome of our remodel! Our project was a very large job with tons variables. We needed headers, rerouting of water and electrical, walls came down, a fireplace went up, flooring was installed throughout the entire first floor, our main floor powder room was an added side project. It was a huge undertaking and I am so glad we went with a company that made us feel at ease throughout the entire process. He set up a calendar so I knew what was happening every day. Every person that came to my house was completely professional. Now for the best part...I LOVE my kitchen. Mike: We have done quite a bit of work with Motor City Builders. They did our roof several years ago, and most recently completed replacing all of our old windows. The roof crew and window crew were different, but we had very positive experiences with both. Tad and Dan, who did our windows, are machines. They work very well together and they work fast. They also clean up. You'd be surprised how uncommon that seems to be.We have several other projects that need to be done on our home, including porch, pool patio, some room remodeling, and we will be working with Motor City on those projects and any others.We've had a lot of work done on our home in the last decade and worked with a lot of different contractors. ronnie mann: There are three different crews with this company, I gave them two stars because they gave me the c crew. And one of the members of the c crew was a woman who was 5ft tall 90 lb and right off the street,the owner was paying under her the table she did manage to do some work . So you have a 30% chance of getting the A crew 30% chance of getting the B crew and 30% chance of getting the B crew. The other 10% is the owner contracting everything out and making money just for making a few calls

Catherine Carpenter: Matt, Ashley, and the MCB team did a fantastic job converting our 1980's master suite into a handicap accessible roll-in shower with sink, countertop, and updated bedroom. Their attention to detail included a soft-close toilet seat, brushed nickle hardware, and help with mildew resistant paint and tile selection. The painter did an excellent job matching the stain on the widened doorways and trim work. 90% of the project, which included removal of a huge garden tub, was completed within three weeks. We were very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the exceptional workmanship from the carpenters and plumbers, to the tile installers and electricians. J Rusco: Disused chimney was causing my new roof to leak. Motor City fixed leak, but advised chimney needed to be removed. They came today exactly at time promised. Job complete in a couple of hours. They did a thorough cleanup, and also cleaned my gutters. Feel they went above and beyond. Would recommend them to anyone.

mary p: We had our 2nd floor addition +front entry done by motor city builders this spring. We contacted several builders/contractors and Dave was one of the few who responded timely and with a detailed quote and also had his own crew (no sub contractors other than hvac and electrical). Once the construction started, Dave and his crew were professional from start to finish, on schedule and very detailed oriented. We did have some unexpected overruns on the budget (2 zone hvac, foam insulation and other unforeseen structural items) but Dave explained the differences and gave options and credit for quoted items as much as possible. Even with the overruns, I would say their prices are fair especially considering that you are getting quality craftsmanship which is very hard to find these days. All of his crew have been with him for a long time, they are experienced and if it wasn't up to Dave's standards, it was fixed right away. You can be rest assured that they stand behind their work even after construction is done.
Jazzy Jeff: Wanted to hire this company to put addition on house.. one of his employees talked me into letting him do the job on the side it started off as a three weekend job and it's been 2 years and hasn't been finished and the employee has abandoned the job won't return calls or attempts to reach him about the situation so think twice about hiring these people you left me with the roof leaking and the whole interior unfinished meant to say he not the company as far as I know the company is very good

Chami Lishara: Matt took care of several small projects the first day and will be returning for several bigger fixes. He did an excellent job on the small stuff and I am looking forward to having him complete several bigger repairs once the materials are delivered.(Any delay is on my end.) He reviewed the upcoming projects thoroughly and gave me reasonable cost estimates. He will be repairing some damaged basement paneling from the 70s, replacing a lot of basement ceiling tiles from the same era, and installing new kitchen ceiling lighting. We are also talking about replacing windows in one bedroom and he has been very helpful in providing info on options., making my choice easier. He was very knowledgeable about all the details involved, and I am confident he will do an excellent job.
Ishara Nadeeshani: Matt does outstanding work. I could not be more pleased. I had a complicated installation of a new track lighting system that was confusing and was delivered with incomplete instructions. He figured everything out and solved assorted glitches and complications. His work is careful and accurate and meticulous. He also repaired our basement ceiling tile, which was a ‘70s mess. The old-fashioned tile had fallen, broken, or worked loose in several spots. I was able to find matching replacements and he quickly made it all look like new. He spent a solid 8 hours straight working on these two projects. I especially appreciated this because he had to come from plus-30 miles away, and I had thought it would take much longer., at least 2 days. Everything is perfect. I would trust him completely with any repair, and I hope to call on him in the future. I will have some projects lined up for warmer weather. He offers far more than a handyman service. I am so glad Angie’s list put me in touch with him. I posted an earlier review after he took care of several, quick small repairs, but these were two big ones and very different. in scope.

Kelly Angel-Vandesteene: EXTREMELY UNHAPPY! BUYER BE WARE!!!. Bathroom remodel is stuck and dead. No movement cause they don't have a tile guy. this was a 2-3 week project that started 7 months late and we are in week 11 currently with NO shower or sink. I did beg for the toilet and had that hooked up 2 weeks ago after 9 weeks of waiting. Unfortunately we believe it's not what we ordered.They have stepped through the ceiling in my only other bathroom, while installing the plumbing. A 1.5 ft by 3 ft piece of drywall replaced IN 5 WEEKS, and now the ceiling sports a bumps 4 inches by 8 inches. We did point this out to the worker and he informed us his drywaller quit so he's doing his best. We said just leave it and we'll fix it, cause it just was getting worse each time he tried to correct. This was NOT the only drywalling he attempted and tried his best. He repainted at his own behest at least 5 times on the new drywall in the new bathroom as well as 4 times in the foyer. It seems he likes to repair the spots after painting.Needless to say we don't get updates on our project and the work has been SUBPAR AT BEST. We have had to ask them to complete the coat closetI'm contacting the better business bureau for advise on how to proceed. Grant Crisp: Very disappointed in the cabinets we purchased from here. We were told they were solid wood and the front is a pressed wood which in front our our sink water splashes on them, over time they are showing wear. Very disappointed in our sales person for not disclosing this information, as she indicated they were solid wood and sealed with baked on paint. Spent over $11,000 on all of them. Warranty was off after 1 year and misrepresentation on manufactured materials.

Dave Henderson: Purchased our home 3 years ago. The kitchen was small and not very functional. We knew we wanted to remodel, but could not figure how to make the kitchen better. Heard Starline's commercials on the radio. Kitchen designer Leasha Sorenson came out and discussed many options with us. One her suggestions was to move kitchen into dinning room. Leasha spent time designing two layouts. One in existing space and second design in old dinning room. Her 3D perspectives made it easy to see each design. We decided to move the kitchen into dinning room. Her attention to details and layout recommendations made our new kitchen perfect. Everyone who worked on the kitchen were professional . Highly recommend Leasha for kitchen projects. She spent a lot of time designing two options we reviewed.
TONYA Fields: The best designer is Leasha Sorenson at Starline. Everybody love my two sink kitchen with bar and large storage island that seat 8 people with double island. Something different that stand out from the crowd. Unique details with alot of cabinets.
