Sarah Histed: Pretty gross overall. Plus I just I searched it on Google and saw it had a rate for one night $60!!!!!!!!! That is completely insane considering you would have to bring your own cleaning supplies and possibly even bedding. But it was a last resort option a few times for me when the money was low. But now that's not even the case. I would never spend $60 to stay there. You couldn't pay me $60 to stay there. Lol

brionne gill: We checked in Friday, May 5th and checked out Friday, May 5th. They gave us 3 bad rooms. The last room had a mouse trap under the table and bugs.There was no remote control, no toilet paper, and no bath towels. The room stunk.Went to get a refund and we were told we couldn’t get one after an hour. We were on the property for an hour, but only in the room for 30 minutes. There refund policy is no where in that building or online. They refunded me for my second night, but not my first night.Bad customer service and they need to make their refund policy clear. Danny Marsh: Lady at the front was helpful . Thats where the good ends . Never felt so unsafe in my life . Security latch left next to the door with the screws out of the wall . Room stunk . Bed was squeaky . Never slept in it so I can't speak to its cleanliness . I couldn't get over how uncomfortable I felt so I booked another hotel after about 10 minutes in the room . Maybe the sweater left in the parking lot or the charcoal grill setup or the auto parts resting on the curb no longer attached to a vehicle gave me the wrong impression but its amazing how much better after I left there and spent more money on another hotel . I wouldn't suggest this to anyone . If its the only room left in town , I would go to another town .

Kevin Holman: Rooms are loaded with roaches I seen multiple bugs in 2 rooms. I rented a room for 2 nights and had to ask for my money back I can't stay in a hotel with roaches. Only received half my 100 dollars for my stay and was in the room a total of an hour and seen 3 roaches. You gotta spend over 100 a nite anymore to not sleep with bed bugs and roaches. Faith Ackerman: The sheets were stained dark brown. The comforter had cigarette burns on it in 3 spots. The door lock was broken. The door jam looked like it was about to fall out of the frame. All the cabinets were in rough shape wood was rotted away. There was nothing pleasant about the red roof inn in flint. I said something to the front desk attendant and she had no response to anything I told her.

Tonia Force: This was by far the dirtiest room we've ever stayed in. We only stayed because we were there for a funeral and had to get a room at the last minute and it was cheap, as a room was not in our budget this time. The people at the desk were good though. They didn't charge us for our dog, which definitely helped. But the room was literally dirty, not just old and not maintained. The towels a nd washcloth looked used and wrinkles like all they did was folded it back up, and there was only 2 towels. The beds were the same. The sheets and pillows were visibly dirty looking and wrinkles like they had been used. I had my own blankets and pillows so we just slept on top of the bedspread. The toilet, tub and even the walls were dirty. I didn't even want to touch the light switch to turn anything on. The fridge has ice built up in the freezer, which is not a big deal except the ice was yellow And brown like food had been spilled in there and not cleaned up. This room was absolutely disgusting. I was afraid to check for bedbugs because I was stuck having to stay here so I just didn't even want to know. Very disgusting.Rooms: Absolutely disgusting and dirty. Lonesome Warrior: The hotel was in total a warm, clean and dry place to stay. My mom and I stayed here for a month. The staff are super friendly and quick to help. The main reason I'm rating so low is the accomodations said to be included with the room. Housekeeping is only weekly and they only take linens upon that weekly cleaning. The wifi is basically non existent and the trim around the floor is taped up with duct tape. If these were handled, I would have given 3 stars

drifter1chance: We currently booked a king studio room in advance, but was told when we got there that they don't have any available. We were told by staff that we get an upgrade free of charge for another room with a king bed only to find out, it was only a queen. Smdh. Not ever have I heard of daily parking charges either so we had to pay before even getting our room. Pool is not listed on amenities, but they do have a pool. The pool area does not have any accessible towels for use at all period. We were told we have to bring our own from home or switch out the 2 towels that were provided from our room for use. We were not offer any additional towels although we were a family of 4. (2 adults, a 2 yr old and 6 yr old.) Room carpets are dirty. Sofa bed couch is dirty. All dishes and silverware were not put back properly and found in dishwasher. Things that are broken are not fix. Why? Microwave handle was broken. Mirror closet door in bathroom was out of place and will fall if open. Shampoo bottle is out of place and not glued to where it should be. Bathroom sink drains are clogged and goes down slow. Only allowed one toilet paper roll. Bathroom fan is loud and annoying. First and last time booking from this hotel.

james lawson: I, along with my sister, stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Flint, Michigan. When we checked in at the front desk, we were given the room 131. Walking into the room we felt that the air conditioning wasn’t working on the over 80 degrees day. My sister called the front desk and we were given another room. I went to the front desk to exchange room keys, the young lady that checked us in said the thermostat was on emergency and that why the AC wasn’t working. My sister and I went to the new room(226) and that room had no AC and the thermostat was at 86. I went back to the front desk and when I told the same young lady the problem, she said I didn’t know how to work a thermostat and that “emergency” was between the on and off switch and she knew the AC worked in that room. I asked for maintenance to come to the room and the young lady said they couldn’t come until the next day. My sister went back to the desk and a maintenance man was there. He came to our room and said the AC didn’t work. THE MAINTENANCE MAN CAME BACK TO OUR ROOM WITH KEYS TO A ROOM WITH WORKING AC!!! Marriott Residence Inn in Flint, Michigan is not the hotel stay in!

Dennis Weiler: Room was nice and spacious, but pricey. Only one washcloth, no bath mat, no small toiletries. They required a $20 deposit for "incidentals" which included $10 for parking which was not refunded. Let me repeat - there was a $10 charge for parking - in their lot - at the hotel we were staying in! WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?!!
Keith Aubuchon: Used to stay here alot. This place is an absolute DUMP now, don't even think about staying here. I'm Marriott Titanium Elite and have stayed all over the world in Marriott and this is one of their worst hotels. Asked 3 times for room service in last 6 days and no one shows up, ever. Desk clerk was outside with her boyfriend in the car and finally came back in after I waited 10 minutes. She told me laundry room was all the way to other end of hotel and when I wen there, everything was broken. I went back to her and she said "oh yeah, al washers are broken." I asked why she sent me there. DO NOT EVER THINK about staying here, Marriott should sell this to Motel 6 or some place like that.

Emily Clay: I had paid for a room for a week at the hometown inn. I was assaulted by my boyfriend in which the police took him to jail. I was then kicked out during a snowstorm with my 8 month old baby because police came to my room. I was in sheer disbelief. I was also told that I wouldn't receive it a refund for the remaining part of my stay. Not only do I believe that is illegal it's incredibly bad business. I was definitely victimized twice in one day.

Debi Baker: Jimmy and his staff are fantastic. It's an older motel but they are doing upgrades. The motel gets a bad rap because people have no respect for the property then complain because they have to rent a room they destroy. Housekeeping is doing their best with what they have to deal with. The motel has been doing a lot of weeding out the problem tenants, it's a work in progress. I was here on Christmas Eve and saw the motel provided Santa and the Grinch who stole Christmas experience for all the children that live here and they got very nice gifts I've never seen that happen at any Motel if I have to stay in a motel in Flint this is my first choice people are running down all the motels because they have no respect for other people's property it isn't the motel that's causing the problems it's the people that bring their problems to the motel I've stayed here and there for 30 years and the people running the motel are actually doing their best to try to provide a safe environment for people to stay and I greatly appreciate everything they've done to help me and look forward to doing business here in the future. Realize They need a few more upgrades but I give the staff five stars regardless of what people have said or done to the motel to run it down. Many rooms require a deposit now and, unless you pay cash, the deposit can sit as a hold on your credit or debit account for up to 8 days! Sandra Natole: Firstly, I thankfully did not have to stay the night here. But, I came here to pick up my partner. This is where he ended up after a car accident and I feel awful. When you walk through the main floor, it is in the process of possible renovation, but looks horrifying. There is no real floor: Concrete and sealed. There are no vents. Rooms are noted by masking tape with hand written numbers.I tried to talk to front desk to let them know I was there for an hour or so, and no one was there. Upstairs, it looks more like a motel in the sense there's walls and appropriate signage. Etc. But the smell......oh my God the smell. It's a mix of must, mold, and something I can't quite put my finger on.Inside the room partner had, there was a toilet or tub that leaked over the entire bathroom floor. The wall and carpet in the main room were clearly damaged by water and possibly still wet. There is a fridge and microwave . There was a large splatter of red sticky liquid running down the wall and onto the carpet. Another spot on the floor with the same candy or whatever it was stuck to the carpet. The TV did not work, maybe it was the remote though. When I walked into the room, I really felt a general sense of sadness. It was just a very comfort-less room. I was going to stay here for a night with them, but immediately booked a room for that evening somewhere else.I'm not picky. I really am not. But this place really scared me and I want you to think about checking it out maybe before booking a room. Ask to see one or take a walk into the hotel in lieu of booking blindly.It could be in the process of getting better, it really could be. But for now, it's a shell of a motel and one that I would not feel comfortable returning to again for any reason in this current state. But I truly do hope positive changes are made. It can be a great place close to pretty much everything near the airport. Hopefully it can happen !

Dot Griffith: No pool. Still using Covid as a excuse. I got a room JUST TO TAKE A BATH! After a house fire I lost my beautiful bathtub. I suffer with O/A and it’s the one thing that truly helps me. The bathtub was 🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮 I had to get whatever clean the helpful front desk clerk had. No access to carts or cleaning materials. Whoever works housekeeping there should be ashamed of themselves! I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

(All in walking distance from Days Inn and Baymont.Food & drinks: Vending Machines are in the Lobby Area at the Days Inn for a midnight snack for those who are thirsty and want a snack.
Connie Richardson: There are no closets, they were closed when renovations were done. There were no covers over the air conditioner. The shower leaked .There were smokers in room next door, and we had to close off all vents. I brought my own air purifier which I know worked overtime! The atmosphere of being watched each time we came in and left was erie!!!Never gave clean towels! Horrible!!!! No microwave 1 Microwave to be used by entire hotel downstairs! No food allowed to leave from downstairs continetal breakfast, but employees/ owners children allowed to do so in front of customers. Bed is so used that I felt as if I would roll off all night long.!!!!

Sarah Carr: Mediocre at best. A little dirty but nothing I couldn’t handle. There was security guards at my door at 11 pm because apparently my speaker was too loud. Why wouldn’t they just call the room and tell me that? The breakfast was kind of slim pickins. Even at 7 am there was no fruit, one danish in the cabinet, and no selections of juices or teas which was a disappointment for me. However the waffle maker saved our lives, it is always excellent!So it wasn’t nothing to write home about but it was the cheapest I saw.
Chelsey Holmes: You definitely get what you pay for staying here. Was taken a back by the fact they ask for a security deposit by how many issues the rooms have. Luckily did not have any bugs. Roof over your head for the airport but that's about damn near it.
