BB Q: The ease and speed of service at pick up was not good. The car I received was not clean by any stretch of the imagination. . The car was filthy in unacceptable condition. I was extremely disappointed. The manager was not helpful at all initially. I even took pictures of the car prior to driving it. The first vehicle I was given was laced with pet hair and had noticeable trash on the floors. I mentioned that my children and I were allergic to pet hairs and three times I was offered to keep the dirty vehicle rather than wait for something to be cleaned as if we'd rather risk our lives. The exterior was not cleaned either. I will say that they are nice and pleasant especially Chiquita who always goes above and beyond. However, the last times I've rented from this location I've had issues.
Chris: Very helpful desk staff, Chiquita was so kind. She was able to help us with an upgrade with more space in it, as I had a leg injury causing pain in confined spaces. The vehicle we got was clean and beautiful. Thank you for an amazing experience overall.
Deez Nuts: I rented a 12 passenger transit (smooth ride) van but I actually received a white work van. This van clunked and was a very bumpby ride. The front right tire was losing pressure so I had to fill that up 3 times over the course of my 6 hour rental. The van was left with trash in it and wreaked of smoke, filth and must. Also, vibration noted in front end and steering wheel at speeds over 65. Overall not happy with Avis other than the counter clerk!

Coral Kaufman: We rented a car from Flint to take us to Florida. When we arrived at Flint right at 9 the car we were given stunk like marijuanna. We could not drive this for the next 20 hours with two young kids. We were told we would get another car from “the back” asap. 2 hours later we were still not given a car yet other customers were. When we were finally given our new rental we just got out of the airport when we realized the dash said the battery in the key was at 0%. It was a push button and we had a stop over night so that wouldn’t do. When we turned around and asked for a new battery we were told “just don’t lock it”. After we explained we needed to lock it due to a stop at night the battery was changed very reluctantly. Once driving we noticed the back wind shield wiper had lost its weather stripping making it impossible to clean the window which was very dirty due to the weather. The front wipers were also very old and bent and left horrible streaks on the windshield making it hard to see. With everything that happened 3.5 hours were added onto our 20 hour drive. We were unable to drop the car off at the time we said we were due to leaving much much later than anticipated. (Which was 100% not our doing). No apologies no money back. Absolutely nothing. I will not be renting a car from Avis nor will we ever recommend it.

Sheri Storey: This was my second time renting a vehicle from Avis, and I really appreciate the friendly staff at the counter and out in the lot. I am a Chevy girl and this trip I was given a Ford. It was like an android user trying to work an iPhone. There was a worker walking through the parking lot and I asked for help. He got in the passenger seat and helped me figure out what all the buttons were for so that I could have a easy trip. I was always taught to return things you borrow in as good or better than you got it. So I washed and vacuumed the car out before returning. The lady at the counter thanked me for going above and beyond what was needed to return the vehicle. I will continue to rent from Avis and refer all my friends there. Thank you staff for another great experience!
vera w: Selected-model car wasn’t available when we arrived the airport because the customer returned late. We waited for 1 hour and staff offered the smaller model to replace. Otherwise we have to pay additional cost for bigger model which available at that time. After long wait, finally someone returned same model car. We got it without cleaning. So disappointed.

These are the type of skills that are very rare among must customer service professionals, She definitely gets an A+. Our confirmed reservations with another car rental agency fail through. However, Amber rescued us after a long flight. She provided us the best customer service. Very professional, courteous, conscientious. Once we arrived at our hotel, we told all our friends and relatives about the wonderful experience that we enjoyed with AMBER. She is a jewel and we highly recommend a pay raise for her as she proficiently handled Avis & Budget counters.We will use Avis in the future.

Without asking Jacob let my spouse and I take a test drive with no one else present. This allowed my spouse and I to talk openly and privately. Jacob got us a great price. Way better than we were thinking. Pete worked with out bank and worked out the small details. Pete was very transparent and gave us a lot of great information. Pete never pressured us and allowed us to make our own decisions. Highly recommend, will be the first place I’ll be looking for my next vehicle.

Subaru Impreza wrx sti 2011: Used car sales department is nothing short of scammers. Avoid at all costs!I was sold a “fully inspected” box truck that broke down (failed transmission) a month after purchase. Our mechanic stated that the transmission oil was extremely old, which directly caused the transmission to fail. When questioned about this, Applegate Chevy used car sales assistant manager, Bob McPhilimy, and Applegate Chevy General Manager, Daniel George, both stated that their inspections do not assess the quality of transmission oil - they simply make sure there is oil. Upon pointing out how irresponsible that is, we were told “well, we do change the engine oil,” like that’s something to be proud of rather than extremely basic car maintenance. This is not an inspection - this is false advertising to gain the trust of unsuspecting customers. They do a quick, cheap once-over to make sure the vehicle will drive out of their lot and they can wash their hands of you and any problems they created. Save your time and money and purchase a vehicle from a more reputable and trustworthy dealership!!

Shannon Escobar: Please read this review before you even think of buying a car from Applegate Chevy. They sell faulty vehicles without remorse.My husband owns a small roofing business and needed a box truck. We met with Bob McPhilimy who showed us two options. We explained to Bob the horrendous luck we’ve had with buying trucks from private sellers this year, so that was why we were now at a dealership. Bob let us know that all of their used cars/trucks are fully inspected, and we could “rest knowing we were buying a quality vehicle.” Because of our previous bad experiences, I asked Bob what would happen if shortly after buying the truck it broke down. He said to give him a call, as they like to do right by their customers. I was given a spiel about how since they are small dealership, their reputation with customers is highly important. This relieved our fears and we bought the vehicle (a 2017 GMC Savana that they purchased from Penske) on August 24th, 2022.My husband spent the following week installing shelving in the box part of the truck, so it wasn’t even being driven. On the morning of September 28th, 2022 (only 35 days after purchasing the vehicle), the transmission blew, rendering the truck completely unusable. We had to pay over $600 to tow the vehicle back home, and were looking at around $6,000 to get the vehicle to a shop and fix the transmission. The mechanic’s diagnosis was that the vehicle had extremely old transmission oil, which caused it to fail. This confused us, since we had just been told the truck was fully inspected.We immediately called Bob and he stated that he was going to contact Penske to resolve this issue. He assured us that since they do a lot of business with Penske, that this should be able to be fixed. When questioned about the old transmission oil being the cause of this, we were told that “the vehicle was inspected to ensure there was oil in there - not assess the quality of the oil.”We spent the next two months being given the run around by Bob and his manager, John Schaffer, at Applegate Chevy. Our interactions went from helpful in the beginning to increasingly annoyed and less communicative. In the meantime, my husband was now having to rent a trailer to supplement his unusable truck. This was communicated to Bob, and he still encouraged us to wait for a final word from Penske, again stating their good working relationship would lead to results.On December 7th, 2022, Applegate Chevy completely changed their tune and told us that Penske would not be assisting and neither would they. When asked why we were strung along for 2 months, they had no answer. John was completely void of sympathy and almost sounded proud of his company’s ability to screw over a young couple. This has been the absolute worst car buying experience we’ve ever had. Applegate Chevy is run by the type of people that give used car salesmen a bad name. I truly don’t understand how they can scam people like this and sleep soundly at night. If you value your time and money, avoid this shady business. They will sell you a lemon, string you along, and then make you eat all costs without even having the decency to apologize.

Alyn Drewek: Definitely don't recommend this Enterprise. I made a reservation almost 2 weeks ago. I also did the check in online as requested. I stated the type of vehicle I was looking for, when I got there they told me that they didn't have it available and tried to charge me extra for a vehicle I didn't even request. No point in making a reservation or doing the check in because this Enterprise won't acknowledge it.
Callum Carr: Car stank when I picked up like bleach and smoke. Car stalled out on the freeway while I was going 70 and no one seemed to care at the branch. I drove my kid around in this death machine.

Jacari vaughn: My job rented me a car from here. I had to returned the car Thursday august 25,2022 they was closed , no drop box or nothing they told me I can return the car after closing time. While I was walking around to see if they had a drop box the security came on the intercom and told me to leave the property and leave the car. Enterprise told me if the car got stolen I would be responsible for it. No once I drop the car off it’s not my responsibility to make sure your car don’t get stolen. How about put up a secure gate with a security both and a security guard or how about build a drop box for your customers to leave the keys . Stop being cheap

YonnieThaDiva I'm Fucked Up But Its Ok: Made reservations over the phone. The person told me the price of the car. I went to Enterprise the same day. To ask some questions. I asked them will I have to pay for the car the day I pick it up. They told me no that I can it can come out the deposit when I bring the car back. And that if I need more time that I would have to make sure that I have another $300 on my card for a deposit to be on hold. I left happy and felt that she was a great help. Since the phone reservation call was so quick. I get there today and never been so embarrassed in my freaking life!!!!! They tell me I have to pay the deposit and the cost of the car and insurance at pick up. If i had known that I would need the full amount I would made arrangements. Im sorry but i will never come back to the unorganized misinformation location again. My entire weekend ruined this was a trip for my Bestfriend’s Birthday.

Waylon Thomas: Horrible location. I booked a premium pickup but upon arrival I was told they only had a single midsize SUV, no other options. The desk lady also swiped my card and said the rate was $100 higher than my original booked price. Luckily I caught that and at least was able to keep my originally booked price.Beware and book elsewhere. I also have executive elite with their sister company but will no longer be using them either. Stay away.
Jennifer Walters: Ashley and her team have great customer service. I had issues with the Sarasota Florida location and when I dropped my rental off in Flint Ashley fixed everything. I went from a never again will I use them to a return customer for my next vacation. Thank you Ashley🤗
Celeste Ruppelt: A rental was reserved to complete the trip to my destination. There was severe weather during the flight which necessitated a lengthy delay, so the arrival time was moved back from afternoon to 10:15pm. I arrived exhausted and wet as it was raining. I had called ahead to make sure the rental counter would be open and could honor my reservation. This was arranged by three of the rental companies alternating so there is always someone on duty.Due to the cost and availability of rental cars, I reserved a very small one to make the rental affordable. When I arrived at the counter it was 10:45pm and they close at 11. There were three cars and a pickup left. I was able to chose a large SVU, which ended up being much safer than the economy car I'd reserved, and at no extra charge. The attendant was very understanding and quite helpful. I'm actually grateful for his expertise, because I still had some driving to do.There were two things. He was alone and much busy too busy to bring the car around, even in the rain, and there was no one to help me learn the controls. I learned this while driving the Interstate, which was not the safest way to do this. The other thing is that a navigator system would have been very helpful in the dark, in a strange city, and in the rain. Overall, I was pleased with Alamo, and I would rent from them again.
jan hippler: Had reservation at Bishop Airport in Flint. Arrived to find the line at Alamo/National 30 minutes wait. Then was told they were short staffed and my rental would be available in another 45 minutes. They're giving me a free tank if gas, but this is a HUGE inconvenience. Won't use them next time.

Ms Stella greeted me with such a warm greeting and when I tell you her customer service is second to none, I mean that sincerely. Her positive and kind words warmed all of our hearts. You know without fail or hesitation that she loves her job. Thank you Ms Stella for making our day brighter! You are a example of what customer service should look like. Scott Peterson: Do not trust this location. They lie!I Rented a car with them through Costco and confirmed twice (once months before our trip and the other during the evening of our flight delay) with the local staff to confirm that they would stay open the 2 hours after normal closing, which is their company policy (if we provided flight info in our reservation). We did include flight info, our flight was significantly delayed and the person that said that she would be there until 1:00 a.m., closed the counter at 12:30 a.m.!!!!!!I ran through the terminal and arrived at 12:48 a.m. to a dark desk! Avis/Budget on the other hand had someone at their counter for the passengers on my flight. I was luckily able to rent the last Budget vehicle available for the 4th of July week, but for $491.01 more.Almost worse than the experience above, is that I've filed two separate complaints with Alamo customer service and after two weeks from my first complain, the local management has yet to contact me to explain or apologize.I repeat, unless you want to risk being stranded without a vehicle, do not rent from Alamo / National in Flint Michigan.I would give them a zero star rating, but one star is the worst you can do.
Gina: Our rental car broke down on day four of an eleven day rental agreement with Alamo. The entire experience has been disappointing. It took two days to get this sorted out. From the roadside assistance not communicating to ensure we had a reservation to pick up another car, to customer service at Flint Bishop Airport interrogating us during the entire process. We now have an exceptionally soiled interior replacement, which we've been offered to take another half of day away from our 90 yo parents to exchange. Good job Alamo! 👏🏼

I asked several times to speak to someone else or a manger but there was no one else to speak to about the issues we experienced. I have never experienced such awful customer experience in my life and so disappointed in this company. We were so excited to be together as a family for our planned road trip to escape from our current reality.We arrived at Alamo located at Bishop Airport to pick up the car we had rented over a month ago. When I provided my credit card, I noticed I had accidentally grabbed my husbands card (same last name but obviously different first name.) The card numbers are the same, same account, same last name, etc. We pleaded to allow us to still use the credit card but the agent said because of policy it would not be allowed. Understandably so, we left and I went home to get my credit card.When we returned, I provided the credit in my name. The number still, matched the reservation but the manager on duty still would not allow me to rent/pick up the car. He accused me of the card being stolen, because my legal name is JoyLynn Marie Streeter on my license and the credit card reads Joy L Streeter. I was shocked, angry, and in disbelief. I had just drove home and back over 1 hour to get the credit card and still was not able to rent the car. It was so appalling, I questioned if it was a prank and cameras were rolling.I began sobbing. I was looking forward to this escape and trip with my family. To make matters even worse, my sister offered to put the reservation in her name instead, and the agent refused! He said we would have to make a new reservation and they didn’t have any cars available for a new reservation.Now, because of their unwillingness to help, rude demeanor, and poor customer service my family has to take a train to Chicago (5 hours away), our trip has been delayed, and these agents have caused even more agony in our lives than we were already going through. It was almost as if they enjoyed ruining my my families day and vacation.I am disappointed in your company, your morals, ethics, and customer service. This situation and the agent, who claimed to be the manager on duty’s attitude, lack of respect, and accusations are inexcusable. Me nor my family will never rent from Alamo rent a car EVER again. The pure disrespect and regard to our family was unfathomable. Your company should be ashamed of what happened and how we we were treated today. Not only did I pay over 200 to rent I was charged 252 dollars for insurance for one wk and was not total price and when you call they say well you wanted Insurance wow what a joke for Nissan Versa 500 for less than wk. and they say is I’m sorry.

Kathryn Hackman: Do not recommend renting a vehicle from this company. I have had a terrible experience with their so called "customer care" team. They do not respond to questions about a vehicle damage claim that supposedly occurred during my rental time, they sent me a bill instead of to my car insurance company that I had already provided, and still refuse to answer any questions I have. Family and friends already have been warned about this place.Rented vehicle through Alamo in Flint, MI airport terminal during September 2019. Vehicle was returned with no known damage. Alamo claimed loss due to vehicle break-in. Would not provide enough information to substantiate the claim.A representative from this location called me on October 12th but would give me any details about the car damage except repeating I was responsible. When my husband asked all the same questions that I had asked, the representative told us to speak with corporate.Would not provide: Pictures were provided, but not at drop off location. Would not provide time stamps of photos. Signed documents / vehicle inspection detail (pre and post rental) requested, but not provided (more than 14 days and no response through corporate who provided photos) Police report if break-in recorded, mileage at post of review, damage report and receipt for repair (more than 14 days and no response through corporate who provided photos). My review / dispute process held us contractually responsible for damage. Would not provide information to validate damage occurred during our rental.Already have tried going through Customer Care starting on October 12th.

After I got home from my trip Alamo debited my bank account again. I let them know, faxed Alamo a copy of my paid receipt.According to Alamo, July 2019, they refunded their overcharge in August 2016 then they refunded the same amount again in September 2016.The second refund, unknown to me then left me owing them. I wasn't notified. And I did not see a second refund in my account. Instead of notifying me at any point in time, they sent a non payment report to the CB.This precludes me from renting from any case service.In 2018 I tried to straighten out this mess of Alamos making. It's like 'fighting city hall'. It's not going to get corrected.What a hassle - I do not need. I hate trying to correct someone else's mistakes.July 2019: Alamo says they are going to help but have not.

Kim Grice: Reserved a car at FNT, after flight landed, went to Dollar rental counter at airport at 8:30pm, no one there, gone for evening. Sign said see Hertz, no one there either. Another 2 parties were in panic also. Had to rent from Avis, an extra $120. Felt lucky to get a car. No Dollar car but was charged by Hertz! Seems like Dollar and Hertz use the same A..hole customer service company. Same music, etc. Tried to get money back many times but recording said wait time is over 60 minutes. John Hanley: Reserved a van online and come to find out they didn't have anything available when I got there! They also only accept major credit cards which I prefer not to use they allowed me to prepay for insurance with my debit card but then tell you they wont accept them for renting a vehicle. This is 2020 not 1998 I expect that if you don't have the vehicle requested then DON'T allow the customer reserve one!!! Lynn of 2Girls&ABook: Thursday, July 18 2019My flight was delayed so I called Customer Service to advise that I would pick the car up the following day. Due to weather and 3 delayed flights, I gave up and returned home. Called Customer Service on the same night I was to pick up the car and advised that due to weather my next flight would not be for another 12 hours and I would miss the event I was traveling for and therefore I need to cancel the rental. I understood that I would be charged for the one day of rental I had cost the company. Customer Service advised me to call a different number to request my refund since I had paid in full in advance. Upon calling the refund dept, Chris advised he could NOT find any record that I had a rental with them - despite me having called customer service 3 times that day to update on my travel using the same confirmation # each time. He was no help at all.I called back on Tuesday, July 23, and was told that b/c I didnt have a flight number included in my reservation I couldn't cancel and get a refund. I explained that the rental was booked months before I flew out and therefore I had no flight number at the time of booking. Finally he agreed to email a dispute form.I promptly completed the dispute form and included the flight numbers and delay information only to be denied. I requested to speak to a manager and still as of July 31st have not been contacted. I even tried reaching out through social media and again nothing.I will NOT be doing business with Dollar again. While I understand that I cost the company one days rental, I cancelled in plenty of time so that the car could be used by someone else for the remaining time. Dollar has not shown me good customer service at all. I travel a few times a year and will go back to using Enterprise. They may cost more but I have never had an issue with them.

You find the car - You deal with it.When we finally got the car, we quickly realized that it smelled like 5 people lived in for a week while constantly smoking. It was extremely dirty stains on the carpet and seats.While driving it would slake when changing lanes.We tried to call customer service. I DON’T RECOMMEND calling customer service. 30 min later all the guy said was “oh I sorry. I will try help you” He did not. That is actually all he ever said.We drove back to the rental location at Bishop airport. Had to drag all our items back in to find out they have no other cars. He says one should arrive in 30 min and when they get out we can take it!! So.... this proves they don’t clean their cars.Looked into other rental companies. Hertz, Dollar and thrifty are the same so they had no cars. Checked another and they had no cars.I would suggest first to fly into DTW and skip Bishop all together. Second DO NOT RENT FROM DOLLAR - THRIFY - Or HERTZ.

Linda Childress: I rented a car many times from this company and now after this last time. I will never rent again. Usually the issue is they don't have one and have had to wait an hour for one. The next three times I had to wait for one to be cleaned. This time I picked up car and it had funny cleaning smell. I didn't think anything about it. Then when returned it I was charged for a smoking fee of 400. Never smoked in the car the best they could do is refund me 150. of it. I believe it was the last person and I was charged. I also will never rent from them again. I would recommend if you land and have to be some where they will not have one ready. I was late to pick up my grandson because of their lack of service ready cars. If you rent one there should be one ready since the rental is usually made three months in advance and they don't have one there.
Natasha Williams: First experience with Dollar, I arrived and the agent told me no cars were available. So why was I allowed to reserve a car ? Then gave me a 45 minute explanation that sounded like sure bologna. That should have threw up a red flag. But like a idiot Priceline sent me to Dollar again, and the rental seemed fine until I was charged $31 dollars for a toll fee that I never got. I never went through a toll during the time I had the rental, now I have to take time on my freakin off day to explain this ! I had equally terrible service at Avis. If this is a plot to set me up it’s not going to work because I take good care of the rental cars, it’s a shame to be blacked balled and falsely accused so you can be limited from renting cars. Will call the Better Business Buearu if these business practices indicate any form of discrimination!

They had no guarantee that my card problem would get resolved, but they held on to a vehicle for me anyway.Thank you for your tremendous service.

Phoeneisha Deahl: I had a great experience. Pick up was quick and simple. I was given a free upgrade from a full size sedan to a small suv. On the last day of my rental, my flight was delayed from a 1:00 pm take off until 10:45 pm. I was able to extend my rental for the day through the app. There were no hidden fees on my final bill, it was exactly what I expected.
Terry Atwell: Great customer service, Mackenzie had the paperwork and car ready to go. Vehicle was clean and full of gas. Great to deal with.
HayHay: Christine, Randal, Will, Jessica and Daniel all love to Black List people for ever being able to work for them for catching Covid and having all the paperwork to prove it.

Jen Caslmon: I cannot believe how badly I was treated here yesterday. I went in to rent a car while my car is being repaired. I looked in the parking lot and chose a fun sports car to rent for a few days. The employee at the counter told me that the car was available but he needed management approval. After speaking to his manager, he informed me that I couldn't rent it due to the "Same Day policy." I asked him what that meant and he explained that I was a walk-in customer. He said I needed to have a reservation for at least 24 hours prior in order to rent that car because "We've had some problems in the past." I'm not sure what he meant by that. I went ahead and rented the mini van that he was offering me. It was obvious to me and the person who was with me, something wasn't right about this scenario. I called the corporate customer service department asking for clarification about this policy. They informed me that there is no "same day policy" and that this was a judgement call by the manager. So in other words, she judged me and discriminated against me. I returned to the location. The manager refused to give me her name and I was told another lie. This time she said that car was unavailable. Unavailable to brown people like myself I suppose. She was condescending and dismissive. I was told "Feel free to cancel." I informed the customer service department that I will be discussing this blatant discrimination with my attorney. They did not bother to contact me.
Raymon Caldwell: I was charged a detailing fee for reasons I disagreed with it. I was more unhappy with the presentation of it. When I nicely reminded them that I spent $8000 with enterprise in the past year. I was rudely told that is not much money. I requested twice to be contacted by a district manager and still have not received a call. This place needs some customer service training on how to handle situations where the customer had some sort of an issue. If they would of had better presentation I would still be renting cars by the month but since they don't care about the $8000 I spent annual I will invest it in a new car.

Lay Christine: Do not rent from this place! I rented a car 2 weeks in advance and they had no one working at the time of opening on their website. They’re website says they open at 9am, at 9:30am no one was there. Eventually, National (next door) offered to help me. They then stiffed me with a pick up truck when I reserved a standard car 2 weeks in advance! They’re front desk worker was extremely rude, told me a manager would contact me within 5 days, after 2 weeks no manager contacted me. When the manager (Tammy) finally responded to my email she was of no assistance & has yet to resolve the matter. They’re location does not answer the phone. Again, DO NOT rent a car from this place. Extremely rude and unprofessional!

This location is at a airport people have been traveling help make long days run more smooth instead of not helping and making people scramble to fix THEIR mistakes. And just an idea… how about you have two employees clean snow off the car instead of ALL three so everyone has to stand there waiting around for you to have common sense!

Melissa Gillum: The service itself is fine enough and I was very happy with the vehicle I received. However, FYI this location currently has no dedicated worker. Instead you will be directed to the National/Alamo counter where one single person is supporting all three carriers. If like me you have a medical condition that makes standing in long lines physically impossible then I recommend booking at one of the alternate carriers to the three listed above or expect to need a wheelchair to make it through their line. The other three available car rental counters had no lines.
