Suzette Hebert: I needed to let my cat Max, a sweet, handsome boy go (he was 22). They were very caring and quick about getting me in a room and back with him to have my last moments with him. Dr. Bickerstaff-Dost was wonderful in taking care of me and Max.I was happy to see the many Urn choices too. My only issue was them getting his last name incorrect. Luckily it wasn't used on his cremation certificate.

Melissa Shannon: We, unfortunately, lost our cat this past week. This place and the staff have been so kind when our family had to make the decision to let our sweet boy go. A week later and we received a card signed by the entire staff as well. This industry is hard and I really appreciate all the good people helping out all of the fur babies.
Cathy Madden: I've never returned to this place. I brought my male cat here due to not eating, drinking or eliminating much. He was hiding and swollen. He was not himself at all. The lady came in to the room, lifted him up to feel his abdomen and was very rough with him. He cried out in pain and she made a disgusted sigh. Then, she just walked out of the room. They did absolutely nothing for him. No x-rays, blood tests, nothing, but yet charged me $300+ and sent me home. The next day I took him to the vet and they took x-rays/blood. He had a massive growth.cancer. And, my cat was only 6 or 7 yrs old at the time. Had to put him down. Had they actually checked him, ran tests, I wouldn't have had the cost of both places.
janice raymaker: We took our Jersey girl there today and she did not get to come home with us. Everyone we met could have not been kinder. They treated our dog with respect and dignity until the end. Thank you Dr. Luana Torres and every person who came in contact with our dog today, it was one of the hardest things we had to do but you made it just a little easier. Thanks

Kelly Brown: I started taking my 3 dogs here back in 2011 because it just got too hard to schedule appts at my regular vet and it was SO expensive with 75, 90, and 120lb dogs. My vet actually referred me here and I have been so happy. Besides their routine care, they have done a spay, a neuter, a few illnessness and eye infections, and an emergency tail amputation. Three weeks ago, my 15 year old pit bull went from fine to not fine in a matter of days and I decided it was time. I was a wreck and the whole staff there couldn’t have been more kind or compassionate. I was able to get a private cremation done on site so I could keep his ashes, as well as order a keepsake ceramic pawprint. When I came back to pick them up, everyone was SO nice again, they explained how to bake the pawprint (which was lovely by the way and also had his name stamped into it and was in the shape of a heart) and the ashes were in a cute pawprint tin. Everything was personalized with his name and hearts. A few days later, I received the most thoughtful (also personalized) sympathy card in the mail. These people care about you and your pets. Yes, you have to wait sometimes…but you also didn’t have to make an appointment. And they charge more than reasonable prices and treat everyone so nice (even me when I come in trying to wrestle a Chow Chow and a Cane Corso through the door lol).

B. K.: I called yesterday asking if they were open 24 hours, they said yes but they aren’t taking anyone else in and referred me to a vet that was an hour away. On our way to the vet that was an hour away, our cat died. What is the point of being a 24 hour animal hospital if you can’t treat animals in need?
Meagan Sharrow: I had taken my boxer here for 11 years. They cared for him his entire life, from routine matters to a couple emergency services. The staff and doctors are wonderful. I recently had to help my best friend cross the rainbow bridge and the staff was so accommodating and kind- even staying late to ensure I had the time with Zeus that I needed. The process was painless and very peaceful for my pup. They also have cremation service onsite which is comforting. Zeus and I would recommend 10/10.

Lexi Fus: I am very thankful to have found this veterinary office! I had my dog spayed there about a month ago and it went great!! I was an anxious dog mom leading up to the day, so I called the office and they talked me through everything and answered all my questions! They were super understanding and I felt very comfortable bringing her in on the day. I called to check on her in the afternoon and they gave me a great update, and when I went to pick her up in the morning, she was her perfect, energetic self! I was so nervous with leaving her overnight, but I know she was well taken care of and back to normal by the time I went to take her home, thank goodness!! They are much, much more affordable than other vets I have taken her to and gotten quotes from. I am glad I chose to get the surgery done here and will continue taking her here for checkups and vaccines. Thank you to the Doctors and Nurses for your great customer service to both me and my pup!!

Workin Progress: Dr Ehrman is unbelievably rude and uncaring to be in the veterinary profession, he's cold and short with you especially if he knows you are on a budget.
Coco: I have been bringing my dogs here for years and one of them is now pregnant. I tried to call to see if I could get a pregnancy check up on her and they told me they don’t do them and that there was no way to care for her unless she has an emergency during the pregnancy. Like what kind of Vet doesn’t check on their pregnant dogs? Go find a better vet.

Cathy Madden: When I took my cats here, they were treated well. When it came time for them to be euthanized, at separate years, they were great! Very professional. The only thing I'd recommend if your cat or dog needs to be euthanized, is to have it done intravenously. It's the quickest way. One of my cats had it done in the abdomen, it it was so agonizing because it was a slow process.

Lily Beth: Old, well established clinic. A little bit out of my price range. The happy 19 year old cat shown below, hadn't had a shot since being altered. Even a indoor cat needs regular visits. We love our animals. They need regular treatment for preventing common life ending things, heartworms (dogs and cats). Parvo and other COMMON things that will kill our fur babies.

Angel Cleary: I have been a long time loyal customer to them. Recently my dog has developed seizures. I took him to this place 3 times and each time I was told they couldn't find anything wrong and I may need to go to a specialist.I felt useless at trying to help my little puppy feel better. I took him to Pierson Pet Hospital on Davison Rd. Within 1 APPOINTMENT there was a prescription ordered for him and his seizures have not happened since he got the medicine! Will not be back to this place for any reason.

The Beauty Box Boutique of Flint Michigan: I have been going to the Veterinary Medical Hospital since the 80's for all my dogs, back when the older gentlemen owned the business. Which was ran wonderfully. He was humorous, gentle, very kind, concerned, and caring toward the pets. Since then, a new owner or the business has been passed down to a new generation. However, the hospital seems a bit rushed and not as compassionate as before. I took my dog there yesterday for a check-up, tooth exam, and a booster. When I entered the exam room, I was asked to put my dog on the scale and my dog being nervous, he squirmed and wouldn't stay still on the scale. The Doctor said "Oh he is 7.5 lbs." I tried to explain to the doctor that I had just weighed him in the waiting room and he was 6.2 lbs. He ignored me and continued to say "Yeah must have gained weight" He jotted down the inaccurate weight and proceeded to look in my dogs mouth. The doctor forcefully pried his mouth open and said "Yup he's going to need all of his teeth pulled." The doctor had NO compassion. I felt rushed, and bothersome to him. He was more concerned about getting to the next room. Then my dog's bad teeth and bad breath. So, now I am very concerned about having him perform the extractions on my dog of ten years of age. I have heard that there can be serious complications with him being older. I wasn't given a pamphlet or a printout about the procedure. I was not satisfied with this visit AT ALL! As I said before, I've been coming here for over twenty years and I have noticed a decline in their customer services and compassion toward the animals. I will give them four starts for the previous years I have been coming there and no stars for my current visit. I think they need to either get more staff or add longer hours to accommodate everyone with compassion and concern.
Marcena Owens: I am not a regular client. I called about 2 weeks ago in regards to having my 20 year old dog euthanized. The girl I spoke to was very polite and told me to call ahead and they could have paperwork ready so I wouldn't have to wait around and I would get in a room as soon as I arrived. I have had my dog for 18 years and this is a very emotional task. However, when I called today to make arrangements for tomorrow, the female I spoke to was argumentative and not sympathetic one bit. She proceeded to tell me how she is sure that nobody told me I could make an appointment because they do not do that for what I need done. And then said " it takes two seconds to print up paperwork and there will probably be a line when you get here. That's just how we do things here" . So after this experience over the phone with a rude and insensitive person I will NEVER become a client and I will make sure I refer people else where. Losing a pet is hard enough, let alone having to take them in yourself and have it done. Her unsympathetic self should not be working for a vet clinic. After 18 years I don't need my last experience with my dog to be worse than it already will be because someone wants to argue about what I was told and tell me I am wrong in what I am saying. The reason I picked taking him there in the first place was because of what the other girl told me. They cremate there also. Although their price is way cheaper I will be going and paying double or even triple what I would there in order to have a sympathetic visit. And it will be worth every penny!! Shame on her. I do not recommend this vet. My mother does go there but that is about to stop as well. Whoever it was that I spoke with is sure bad for business.

I am very satisfied with Pierson hospital and specially with Dr. Amy. I definitely will continue taking my dog here and I highly recommend this clinic. Christine Ramey: The entire staff interacted with Virgil. He is a high anxiety (was abused) rescue dog. Molly (his groomer) and the desk staff showed Virgil affection and I was amazed with his interaction with them. I've decided to use Pierson for all Virgil's needs.Your employees are amazing 👏They accomplished in minutes what 2 other places (vet & groomer) couldn't in 2 years. Virgil relaxed and was a happy boy (rather than stressed) when I picked him up.Animals know when a humans heart is true. Virgil approved all he met in your office. This makes me very happy. Virgil is all I have and my heart aches when he is uncomfortable.I cannot thank you ALL enough.
Scott Vanbelois: My dog was just fixed in the morning jumping and running later that day. We tried to slow her down but she felt that good. Very pleased with Pierson.
Candace Page: I will never be back! I took my puppy in for her first wellness check mind u she is 14 weeks old. They tried to get ne to sign up for a 1200 puppy pack! So when we went back they asked what we were in for I said specifically her first shots a dewormer! They took her in the back to get her togeather.That bill cost be 125.00 no problem because I figured everything was done for the month. Me being a single mom of two kids I never looked at the receipt after I paid! Next day comes and they call me to say she has worms.....I said specifically I know she's a puppy that's what I asked for her to be dewormed. Turns out they never did and wanted me to drive back to pay for the meds that honestly should have been Givin the day before when I specifically asked for shots and dewormer!

Stephanie Palmateer: Staff was extremely kind and welcoming. Dr Pierson took the time to answer each and every question I had and was great with my dog. Wait time was short and I never felt rushed. Prices are comparable to other vets in the area. Definitely plan on returning for more pet care in the future.

James Sparks: The veterinarian is a wonderful doctor. He took very excellent care of my dog. The doctor performed a very touchy surgery he had to remove a large Lypoma under sparkles chin on her neck. He told me all the risks that could happen. However, he did a very good job. And is extremely fair on the cost of the work he performed on my 🐕. Ty very much for all your services and care for my animal.
Angela McFatridge: Dr. Heaton is amazing with animals of all kinds. Never tries to sell you a service you don't need. I have taken many pets to him. Lizards, tortoise, bunnies and more.

rick bennett: Dr Heaton is trying to retire, he raised his prices. He charged me for a service he never performed. He gave my dogs shots she didn't need need. Truthfully, I think he has got senile with age.I've known him 30 plus years. I recommend people, you find another vet.
Barb Javor: Not sure about this vet. My boyfriend had been taking his dog (baby girl) here for 8 years. We took her there today for some flea preventative. He told him she needed some shots, my boyfriend said that he couldn't do all that today and was going to make an appt but the vet wouldn't even do that. He said well go somewhere else then. I feel this vet doesn't really care for animals at all and has a really bad attitude. Cares more about the money. Just my opinion. The vet did say he is only keeping the people that bring there pets there for their well visit. Which is fine but my boyfriend does take her in for her shots yearly. It was exactly 1 year ago this month that he took her last year. Not sure what his problem was. But im glad he is not her vet anymore. Rude rude rude.!

Rose Lidgey: I wish I had read these reviews before taking my dog to this Veterinarian.. I took my dog in for his yearly check up. I also noticed a soft lump in his ear so I asked him to look at it. He took a quick glance and said it was a Aural Hematoma and would require major surgery costing at the minimum $1000. When I said I didn’t think I could do that he said there was no need to do anything else like check for heart worms or any other yearly check ups. He made me feel like my dog was on his deathbed. When I got home and did some research I found out it was not life threatening and could possibly go away on it’s own! In my opinion he was very rude and unprofessional!

Just Judy: We've been taking our animals to Dr. Heaton for 42 years. Dreading the day he will retire. He always knows the problem..almost immediately. We've taken our pets to other, younger vets ...(when he was out of town) who just said..well it could be this, it could be that. Trial and error. Dr. Heaton always knows. I'll take a gruff, bedside manor with excellent knowledge over super friendly along with hundreds of dollars of expensive tests, any day. Do you smile all day and never get irritable? Give the man a break!

Alex Piper: This vet was extremely rude and not at all professional. I took my 3 year old British bulldog, Nyla, here for she was having serious dietary problems. The man who assisted Nyla handled her very poorly without proper care, when I intervened he scolded me, saying I had no clue what I was talking about while still holding her down in an awkward position keeping me away from her. At that point I couldn’t believe what I was dealing with, I took Nyla back and left immediately, he told me to never come back and I surely never will. Do not go to this veterinary hospital.

jwcwmw104: Unfortunately my 14 year old lab become very ill while I was on vacation and my mother (who has cared for my dog when necessary) was unable to get her into her own veterinary office due to it being closed. My mother attempted to reach out to this veterinarian for assistance and was told to take her (my dog) to animal control. This was already a stressful situation and my mother and my dog did not deserve to be treated like that while trying to get assistance for my dog. The vet did not even examine her or try to do anything to assist the situation. I would steer clear of this place

Amari Malcolm: This is the rudest vet I’ve ever met. Me and my mom took my cat Mushu up to get an inquiry on his sinuses because of an issue that kept resurfacing. He yelled and was very disrespectful towards my mother and I. He told us it was our last visit because we were only looking for cheap prices. This was all said to us before we could even explain what was wrong with Mushu. We were going to him to get his opinion before going somewhere else. He was extremely rough with Mushu and the way he handled him was very unprofessional. While he stood there and continued to disrespect me and my mother he kept the thermometer in my cats rear end which was not okay. I will not be returning here. I’m very big on respect and this man is atrocious for the way he acted towards my family. I’ve never met a more rude and unprofessional veterinarian in my life.
