Brad Ketchum: I rearrange my work schedule for doctors appointment just like everyone else, been to this office 3 time , always a long wait time , the last time I was scheduled for 9am at 10:05 I was still in the front waiting area , never called or given an explanation, I had to be back to work at 11am so I left without seeing the doctor, total waste of time ! Will not be going back .

Aurorah Stephen: If you can go somewhere else. I had a endocrine related emergency beginning of April and by the end of May I am out of my medication and cannot get ahold of anyone in the office. There is so much chaos in that building there is no time to explain anything. I was shoved from room to hallway to room to hallway and saw the doctor for MAYBR 15 minutes all together. I am 21, I almost died, and I am now afraid for my life again as I CAN NOT get a refill on my medications. Time to change my endocrinologist because luckily I am moving from the area!!!

Sue Blalock: My appointment was for 12:45 and I was actually in for my ultrasound at 12:45. The technician answered all questions and after ultrasound took me to my room. Dr Bakleh was in to see me within 10 minutes. He thoroughly explained everything and put all my fears to rest. I'd recommend him to anyone needing a endocrinologist.

Madison Pellett: First appointment went great. Second appoint i was supposed to get a biopsy and ultrasound on a mass on my thyroid done. After waiting in the lobby for an hour was put in to a room that had bloody tissue on the counter it was not sterile at all! After i asked them to clean the room i was given attitude by a nurse and was in the room for an hour. The doctor forgot about me! I didnt feel comfortable with them sticking a needle in my neck since they cant keep track of patients or even have a sterile room.

Marlene Klinert: I really like Dr. Bakleh. He explains things to me so that I understand and will take time for me. Most appreciated. My only complaint is I don't receive results of my thyroid ultrasounds, biopsies or blood work until I go see him again 6 months later. The Flint staff are very overworked and desperately need backup.

Mitzi Carman: Very rude and unprofessional I felt like a piece of livestock Dr.was very rude didn't listen called me a liar when he told me I didn't have kidney disease when I have had it for years he said blood tests don't lie when he DID NOT do any blood tests. I sat there and watched them put my papers behind others. On purpose. He has a very bad bed side manor it took 3 months to get a prior auth I refuse to go back tried twice and it was horriable I will never return

xHamNxProxi: Bakleh is the absolute best. He saved my life, and I was able to get off insulin completely in only 3 months. His staff may seem unfriendly if you are not use to them. It is a very busy office, the lady at the front desk once had 16 calls in a row, and had to put them on hold to talk to me. They are hard workers and have no time for chit chat.

Carrie Taylor: I love this doctor he is amazing and very caring he will tell you like it is and what you should be doing his office is very busy and there is two doctors that work there and the staff works for both of them so some things take longer then others but at the most I have had to wait for things to get done was two weeks and that was for two different things

Dottie Eckert: Dr Bakleh was very nice himself. His office staff is rude and arent very good at their jobs. My first visit with him, he gave me some samples and after the sample I was to hand in a RX and his MA, Angie, told me she would get the prior auth. Said it would take about a week (now mind you I worked family practice for 13.5 years and you have to fill out a form amd fax it). So I handed the RX in and 3 weeks later with 13 messages to their office and NO RETURN calls it still was NOT done. Now I also called once cause my sugar had dropped to 46 and NO RETURN CALL. Finally getting ahold of the office manager so she could get this taken care of they finally faxed it and it was denied cause they didnt put my A1C on there. Now how you gonna try and get a medication approved for diabetes amd not put the A1C on there. So now I'm out of samples and my numbers are going back up. Not sure if I want to continue to put my health in his STAFFS hands

Becky Zoromski: We saw Dr Bakleh in Genesys when my husband was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and found him quite pleasant. Our pleasant experience ended there as the office is a nightmare. After our first visit the stafd was supposed to put in an authorization for a CGM....seven weeks later it still isn't in. We left no less than 12 messages that all went unreturned and when I finally got in touch with the office manager her response was "well what extension did you leave them on?" We left a message on every extension since you can't actually get a live person to answer the phone

G G: Thankfully my visit with this office was not as bad as the others reviewed. The staff was very friendly and showed concern. They seemed busy but they were very professional. Dr. Bakleh is in opinion a very concerned and attentive he took time to explain everything I needed to understand. Hoping my 2nd visit goes as well.

My soon to be husband is a patient at this office and is treated very poorly every time he attends an appointment or calls to troubleshot appointment times and switching insurance. He had to reschedule shortly after getting off of the phone with the receptionist to create an appointment because he had forgotten about prior engagements. She told him “if you keep this up I’m going to send you on your way back to your primary”it’s worth the drive out of town for another specialist, we will be switching very soon.

EbonySM1: Misdiagnosed twice . The first time he had someone else’s chart. The second he flat out said my levels were fine and it was not . He is very arrogant in his tone and shut down anything I ask and tells me to talk to my primary physician about. This is a money pit office .

Ryan Krueger: Like many have said, long wait time. Excessively expensive, $370 for an office visit. Wouldn't review lab results with me over the phone, but instead wanted me to wait 4 months to for the next available appointment to discuss.

Tammy Prz: Excellent, compassionate. 1st visit was more than an hour past appt time but all other times he was on time. I needed throid biopsy. I barely felt anything.. Answered all my questions. It was confusing at 1st when appt is done as sometimes you are asked to wait in waiting area to check out (never more than 2-3 minutes). I don't understand the negative comments. He & his staff are awesome. For the record I AM A REAL PATIENT.

Maddy Kurz: Dr. Thawani has been the best decision I made,I couldn't have a better doctor to help me manage my Hashimoto's hypothyroidism. I have been having many health issues this past year he was and still is the only doctor who is on top of everything. He is very knowledgeable and has helped me every step of the way and he always knows what labs I need and if I have a lab I want to do and I ask he will add it to my labwork. He always returns my phone calls when I have concerns and he called me back on a Sunday which was greatly appreciated, he goes the extra mile for his patients. He also has a very wonderful staff too! I highly recommend Dr.Thawani and his team!

Jessica Huber: This has been a long time coming, but finally sitting down to write it in hopes of it helping someone else. Other than the hour and a half wait the first couple visits, I thought he was great. He seems very personable at first. He put me on Levo for my thyroid and it didn't even touch the symptoms I was having. I work in medicine and realize that it is NOT one size fits all. I tried talking to him about how the meds were not helping and his response was..."if your symptoms are not improving you need to see a psychiatrist!" 🤣 Mind you none of my symptoms were related to anxiety or depression. They were brittle hair, dry skin, low energy, etc. I have never wanted to tell a doctor to go to hell so badly. I laughed and said "I won't be back." The sad thing is most people only go to him because there aren't many in this area. Currently, my family doc is managing my symptoms much better than Thawani, but it would be worth the drive to go to U of M if needed!!!

Barbara Badour: Took over 2.5 months to be contacted by office regarding referral. 4 attempts later, I received a call, only to be told that both the referring doctor and myself were lying. I’ve never had to leave a poor referral ever, but this office needs to be avoided at all costs. If the office is this inept, what does that say about the medical staff? I shudder to think.

Jill Cook: Wait times are unacceptable and are common. Will not be returning. There are other options if you drive a little distance. Normalizing extraordinary wait times does not make them acceptable.

Teresa Farley: The wait as people put is long as new patient I am not sure if that is typical I have only seen the doctor once. However his staff are very courteous and so is the doctor and his medical staff. They do not rush the care your and concern regarding you aa a patient so in certain circumstances it would take any one alive longer with his patients unless you want to be treated like cattle and rushed through. He was worth the wait and procedure to check my thyroid for cancer was nothing compared to the what I now think of as a quack doctor I last saw. This doctor is on top of his knowledge of your disease whatever it maybe in his field!!

Marsha McIntosh: My family Dr sent me to him to have my hormone panel done. Instead, this Dr blew me and my symptoms off and did an ultrasound on my thyroid. Then said I have anxiety disorder and to take a anxiety pill and depression pill. Never checked for my hormones which is why I was referred in the first place. Charged over 200.00 for that visit. Wanted me to come back for another appointment to see how I am doing on meds. No thank you, I was ignored and dismissed the first time so will not return again!

Vicki Sterling: After seeing the doctor a few weeks ago, being tested, discussed and diagnosed with a serious/fatal lung disease. I called back to ask for some medication to help slow the progression.. I was told I’d have to come in for another visit?!? For what? Just more money.....

Kat Millinkov: Waited 2 hours past my appointment before being seen by a nurse, then proceeded to wait another 30mins or so before Dr.Thawani came to talk to me and do some testing. Only to barely answer my questions I had asked or talk about blood work that had been done before seeing him. If you have an appointment here, be prepared to be here for a while.
