Huda Asmar: BTA has been an amazing experience for my family. At first my sons and daughter joined the classes in 2019 but then I joined them too! We learned lots, starting from body fitness to martial arts & self defense. Practicing all the poomsaes techniques improved our eye, hand and foot coordination. Master Bounenni does not only teach taekwondo but also life skills, including self discipline, self confidence, respect and responsibility. He goes the extra mile to invest his time to train and encourage the kids to participate in tournaments and coaches them with lots of patience and care. He treats everybody as family and never gives up on them! My family still goes to BTA looking forward for more medals and trophies at future tournaments ! Thank you Master Bounenni!🏅 🏆

Jules Jules: Went there for a meeting with owner about signing up my daughter the day and time he told me to come back I went up there was early and I sat there with my daughter waiting on him to finish what he was doing at the desk. About 30 minutes after my meeting was scheduled I approached the desk and asked him how long it would be and he snapped at me saying he would not tell me to come there on that day and time and was very rude and arrogant. He kind of scared me. Will never return

Aimee Stevens: I have four children that have been in and though various programs at Double Dragon. One has become a black belt, on his way to 2nd degree. One is testing for her black belt tomorrow! One is in the black belt club, determined to learn leadership skill as she is half way to her black belt. My last is the one who is benefiting most from the program. He struggles with positivity, confidence, concentration, kindness, controlling emotions, I can go on. However, as I bring him consistently to his classes, he is learning those skills to help him succeed in not only performing in his class well, but I’m seeing a difference in the way he approaches school, his relationships and every day life. I appreciate Master Wheeler and the other instructors who are patient with him as he grows.

Cathy Baldassarra: We decided to put our 5yr old in the little Ninja class as he was struggling with self control and focusing in class. After probably the first Month We have already received excellent progress reports from His Teacher. We are truly grateful for the Wonderful Staff at Double Dragon and Their Leadership and Mentoring with the Youth. They take Personal one on one time with Children who are having physical or emotional problems and work with them to resolve them and learn from them. We thank you guys for your dedication in helping and serving the community. We are super Excited to see Our Son grow to be the best that he can be!

Kamiya Chatman: My son started at Double Dragon over the summer in 2021 with their Summer Program. I wanted him to see if he liked it first and really wanted to join the program. He then joined in September of 2021 and LOVES it. He enjoys learning the craft, language and being apart of the school. He was even Student of the Month in December. I enjoy watching him learn all the techniques and I greatly appreciate how everyone at Double Dragon loves on Dillon and has treated us both like part of the family! I would suggest to anyone that they come and check it out for their children or even themselves.

Endia Crowder: Double Dragon TSD is more than a karate school, it’s a family. When I joined Double Dragon, I immediately felt accepted and welcomed, while doing something that I love. Even though I joined in adulthood, it felt good to be a part of a wonderful group of martial arts students! Scott Soldan: Flint Jiu Jitsu could not come more highly recommended. If you are looking for high level instruction & a competitive atmosphere, then you should visit Flint Jiu Jitsu. Head Instructor Mike York, is a 1st Degree Black Belt under Marcello Monteiro. Mike's knowledge, experience, & attention to detail is what sets him apart from all other coaches in the area. Flint Jiu Jitsu is easily one of the best gyms in the state.
Kelly Gleason: Excellent Jiu Jitsu Instruction. Mike York will improve your Jiu Jitsu or if your just starting, you will learn from one of the best. He helped me win the Chicago Open.

Nicolas Ledger: Great place to train, friendly crew and welcoming to beginner's. Chris, Scott, Dave and Tom are awesome coach's. If you're considering a zero pressure place to start learning self defense or BJJ I would start here. No lock in, life trading contracts. Lynnette Mueller: I've been going here since it was Wolverine Martial Arts. Back then Scott ran the show and although life got the best of me and I wasn't able to train as frequently, the atmosphere was very welcoming. Close friendships were made and a sense of family developed. Ownership transitioned over to Chris and Heather who had also trained at Wolverine and they maintained that same vibe. Not only are we a family and a crew, walking into the Dojo is like therapy. You leave all of your stresses behind and challenge yourself to something new in life. Everyone who teaches there brings a variety of knowledge and its nice to learn from different perspectives. We also have a lot of fun and laughs no matter what we are learning. Love these Peeps! ❤
