Waivers and appointments and just waiting in general was just gut wrenching, but the recruiters there definitely helped and went out of there way to make it possible for me. I can’t thank them enough for changing my life. I’ve been happier and living life like I never did at home. The Army has become my home and the friends you make are lifelong. I’ve traveled to more states in the Army than I did in the past living at home. I’ve completed basic, AIT and Airborne school in the last 8 months. I can’t wait to see what’s next. Thanks to joining and being out on my own, I got my first car (in cash - no loan/interest), and got out of my toxic household. If you’re thinking about joining, do it, whatever your story is - it is life changing but you grow and learn to who you never knew you could be. The potential and confidence you get when you put on the uniform knowing you’re the future and serving your country is a good feeling. It will get hard sometimes but remember why you’ve joined and what you can do for your future and others. Take care of you! Join and let the Army do the rest.

Joel Layman: Closing the right lanes before the next crossroad you want to go right on only creates unnecessary backup as cars have to merge left just to make right turn at next intersection. Hill rd & 23 and Corunna & Grahm rd are two examples.

john doe: Anyone that doesn't believe that Genesee County Road Commission is terrible at road maintenance, simply needs to drive south on Saginaw towards the Oakland County line after a snow event, it is literally like the New Finish Car Wax commercial, one side totally ugly, the other looks like a new car ! You folks need to get some training from The Road Commission for Oakland County !!! Do your homework about your local municipalities before purchasing a house. It WILL impact your daily life !

Oak rd between Stanley and Mt Morris has 2 ponds on it because they have neglected the ditches for 15 years to the point that 4x4s use the shoulders to mud bog(except for mine that they ruined and dug up the cable line and left it). Now there is no shoulder and the road looks like an artillery range.

They need to be cleaned out. I live at 8163 Lewis Rd Mt Morris. Can someone please address this ongoing problem

jake shipley: Instead of re-paving our stretch of Baldwin Road between Irish and Saginaw, they lay down tar and pebbles 2-3 times per summer that flings up onto the paint of our vehicles and will not come off. They say it’s to “extend the life of the road” but it’s clear they’re just going the cheap route at the expense of the taxpayers who travel up and down Baldwin every day rather than fixing the issue and properly resurfacing the road.

jaki bid: We are a medical office on Saginaw street in Grand Blanc and have been having an ongoing issue since 2003 with flooding in front of our clinics entrance. We are having to cancel patients because of the flooding that makes it impossible to pull into our driveway. Its an astonishing incompetence on behalf of the Genesee County Road Commission to turn a blind eye for this long.

Matt Zahn: While I appreciate new roads going in, How about next summer we plan a little better? Instead of doing all of the projects at once causing massive traffic backups literally everywhere in Genesee County, maybe view a map and figure out a better timeline. This is ridiculous.
