Lyndsey Rodgers: Let me start by saying the staff are ALWAYS amazing here! I have enjoyed shopping here for a few years & have shopped at many other DSW’s. I was really disgusted a few weeks ago though when 2 different pairs of shoes, out of the box (one clearance) had clearlyyyyy been worn and put back in their boxes. I don’t think that is DSW’s policy & I would hope not. I had the nice staff order me a new pair from the ones on the floor. I was willing to take the dirty ones from clearance if given a significant discount. I was only offered 10% which was a joke in my opinion. I declined the offer. I will still come back but what is going on here? Please don’t put dirty shoes back in a box & offer your customers, especially loyal ones, better deals on damaged goods. As a fellow business owner, this isn’t good practice. Thanks 💞

Gabriel Foux: Skechers has horrible Customer Service and No Warranty. I was visiting the area and bought sneakers here. After 4 months or so of very light use the sole started to break apart. The shoes are like new but the sole is in two pieces. So I contacted them to ask about it and provided photos… after very confusing and contradicting instructions (fill this form, take photos like this and like that thinking this claim was going somewhere) the answer translates in that they really don’t offer warranty or are even interested in knowing what went wrong with their shoe quality. Some companies are not interested in their brand and product image or following up on quality. I hope they change in the future, shoes are comfortable when they don’t break.

He happened to greet us right away upon visiting the location which was rare in most of the stores in the mall we went in that day. Wife and I were looking for a pair of the new slip-ins advertised on TV.Store had a very good selection in both men and women's. He let us know that the store was buy one get one 50 off but the slip-ins could not be purchased with the sale but we could purchase other shoes and get the discount. Blown away at the overall knowledge of product and attention to customer service! Wow! Need more like him!Will definitely be back.

Finally the store manager made an appearance and clearly was not interested in helping us with our question. Her attitude helped us more easily decide to not purchase 4 pair of shoes. We ended at Merrill and paid a bit more, but felt our business was appreciated.

Jason Uphold: As a person with 10.5 4E feet, I always struggle to find wide shoes. Not at this Skechers store. All of their wide shoes are in one section. I was able to find and purchase several pairs that fit perfectly in a minimal amount of time. What a great experience! Skechers has joined Clarks as my favorite shoe store. Nicely done, Skechers of Fenton!

Peggy Thenhaus: Recently I visited the sketcher store in Fenton. I was greeted with a smile when I walked in the door. The staff were very friendly and helped me find the shoes I was looking for. They carry a large variety of shoes I would definitely recommend the sketcher store in Fenton.

I’ve had to do a few online orders for items that were not in stock and they walked me through the entire process and set up delivery for me. Amazing management that answered all of my questions and works with the employees instead of barking out orders for them. Definitely recommend going here!!

Audra Bowman: Our first time there recently. Decent selection of shoes but not a ton of different sizes. The employees were okay, but chat with each other a lot. Not the friendliest or welcoming but not horrible. One of the shoes in the box was filthy on the bottom and torn, luckily we caught it and switched but then when we went to check out, there were two different sizes in the box but the employee fixed that. All in all it's not bad.
Mum2 Lelolex: I’m a big fan of Sketchers brand shoes. Happened to stop at the Outlet store in Fenton. No other customers in the store. My husband and I both were looking to purchase something. The two employees were more concerned with chatting each other up rather than helping customers. We approached one of them to ask a question, the response was a barely coherent mumble about not having all shoes is all sizes. I promise you sales would be greatly improved by getting rid of some dead weight lingering around the cash register.

I approached the only employee in the store, who wasn’t wearing a uniform, name tag, or lanyard, and asked if he worked there, his response was sarcastic. He then preceded to ignore us even though we were clearly needing assistance. There’s no point in not just ordering online when you get the same (lack of) service in person.
Michelle: Was disappointed the shoes we've bought for my husband for the last 9 years or so for work were gone. They said they transferred a binch of their shoes to other stores. Hopefully they get them back.

So, In the last year I'd say that I have spent 5-600 dollars in the shoe dept in flint..so my wife and I go there yesterday to spend a few more hundred dollars to be rudely disrespected over our "reward membership"... We picked out our shoes go to the cashier and I give my reward phone number ,so the lady asks what's the name on the account and I answered Elizabeth and was told no that's not it, so I laugh a little and say okay it's under Beth after that I was treated pourly about how that needs to be fixed and I need to stay on top of these things etc... Long story short I kindly told this lady that I do not care if I buy shoes here...I can go anywhere else in the mall and she replies with Do it! This was at 5 pm (I'm not sure of the cashier's name) But the shoe dept can thank her for losing them several hundred dollars a year, this was my favorite place to go for shoes (as per I am addicted to buying shoes) Never once has a store I frequent not wanted my money....

He was super informational about what shoes are beneficial for different level of runners and foot types. I came in with a specific shoe in mind but ended up buying something different because it fit my needs much better. His customer service was on point. 10/10 would recommend

Too bad because I try and support community businesses. 😪 I will just buy direct from the suppliers.
Jane Doe: I went to another running shoe store near my home and was less than impressed. I found this store online and I am so happy that I drove that extra 10 miles! Larry was professional, Larry was knowledgeable, Larry was patient, Larry needs a raise!! I walked out of that store with the most comfortable tennis shoes I've ever owned!! I'm 50 years old and have neuropathy in my feet from cancer treatments. Thank God and Larry I'm back to walking again!!3-25-22Back today for another pair of running shoes! Staff are fantastic and knowledgeable, new technology available for a great fitting shoe too! Walked out with new shoes feeling fabulous with happy feet!!

Lady Alex: I like Journey's & the decent selection they have. The only reason I didn't give them a higher rating is the size of their store. I'm disabled and I use a rollator-walker. It's very difficult for me to maneuver in such a small store. But a lot of stores in Genesee valley are hard to get around in, either because of their size or the fact that they have so many racks out on their floor, they're difficult if not impossible to get around in. But Journey's isn't too bad merchandise-wise; I just don't go in there that often for that very reason, for the difficulty of getting around in there.

Went into the store to purchase some boots for my granddaughter for Christmas...they didn't have them in stock and the girl insisted on ordering them for me and said I would have them in 3-5 days..the boots came 8 days later..Wrong size and were MEN's...I took the boots back in the store at Genesee Valley to get the correct boots, they didn't have them in stock and told me I would have to send the boots back (for there mistake) they couldn't do it and when I said I would let them order for me another (correct) pair, said they wouldn't guarantee I would get them for Christmas, but could put a rush on them but I would have to pay for a rush after they messed up....will NEVER go into that store again, brought the boots back home with me and had to drive to Birch Run to get the right boots, and now have to deal with sending them back and trying to get my money back...horrible customer service...they need some training!!! should get it from the really nice salesman in the Birch Run store...he couldn't believe it either...total waste on my money and time!!!!

Pamela Morrison: I received some diamond earrings from my husband for christmas. The backs would not stay on. Needless to say we returned them to Macys in Genesee Valley Mall. The store was empty. We entered the store and stood in a return line for 15 min. while they waited on one older couple. Finally it was our turn only to be told we had to go to fine jewelry to get our refund. We walked back to fine jewelry. There were 3 women behind the counter. All of them waiting on one customer. After waiting 10 minutes more one of them finally told us she would be right with us. 5 more minutes passed before she finally gave us our refund. I made up my mind never to do business with them again.

Richard C: Yeah I was in Burlington coat factory walking around looking at everything because I like to take my time and look at things before I purchase them I'm a white male who has a lot of tattoos and the cops were called on me saying I'm a shoplifter a known shoplifter and I haven't even lived in Michigan but a couple months and have been in their store one other time and spent $180 on clothes and jackets so if I was you I wouldn't go to Burlington coat factory on Miller road if you have tattoos or if you take too long to look at stuff because they will call the cops on you
Sarah Carr: They have a really nice selection of shoes at this store. I recently went here shopping for boots and found more than I expected. I ended up with a pair of boots and two pair of shoes at checkout and I spent probably less than I would for one pair at some other stores. My favorite thing to shop for here though is the bath/body products and the accessories. They have some really high end beauty products flor way cheap! Shampoos, serums, lotions, bubble baths, and soaps. You name it! They also have some cool things in the accessory aisles. Just unique looking clutch purses, jewelry, stockings, and hair pretties. The candles are where it’s at though. They have candles here that are top notch, normally expensive, and sold in high end stores. That’s because they last the longest, they are made with all natural ingredients, they smell the best, and now they are only available at Burlington Coat Factory and sold there for nearly nothing. It’s so worth it! See you over there!

Rachael Sparks: Selection is always hit or miss which is party of the adventure but stood in line behind about 10 people for 45 mins to check out because they only had 2 cashiers.... and there were never less than 18 customers waiting to check out. Need to address staffing issues.
