Kereen Chambers: I was a member of the Gym for 3 months up until recently. I cancelled my membership and the process was horrible. The customer experience and delivery was awful. I was met with hostility as soon as I entered the facility. I connected with the owner Jennifer to set up an appointment to only be met with the assistance manager Jourden. Who had no idea of what Jennifer and I discussed regarding the cancelation fee amount. After almost 45 minutes of negotiations and hassle it took to resolve Jennifer and Jourden miscommunication, I was able to cancel my membership. The communication and delivery of customer service was poorly executed. I hope that they are able to coordinate better in future.

Jay Po: Very nice facility. I was extremely impressed with the condition of the building, the variety of equipment, and the friendliness of the staff. Vinnie has done a great job growing this place over the past few years.

Tyler Brockway: This place is horrible. The atmosphere is egotistical and everyone thinks their a bodybuilder it's quite hilarious but also annoying. Good luck canceling your membership if you have to move for a job or any reason at all. All they care about is money and will not allow you to cancel for any reason whatsoever. You can find better gyms for half of what they charge here. The staff will also continue to harass you about paying your balance even after you've told them multiple times that you moved and will not be coming back.

Two key things about joining a gym is showing up and having a helpful staff that truly cares. Vinnie cares about everyone’s success to achieve their goal. Also very important to me are the friendships we all gain working out together. The Gym’s new location is awesome with plenty of lockers and also large showers. Besides the everyday shoulder and back tightness, I mentioned that I had been plagued with headaches lately and wasn’t sure what was causing them. She focused on everything that I was having issues with and spent specific time working the spots that were effecting my everyday life. The stiffness that I was dealing was relieved after just an hour! Certainly worth it, and will be making sure to make this part of my regular fitness regimen here at Sals!

Meghan Falkner: Just when I thought this gym could not get any better…then Kara came along. She honestly gave me one of the best massages I have ever had. She worked spots that no other massage has ever touched. She is very very knowledgeable. I love to learn as much about my body as I can so I asked lots of questions about spots she was working on and she was happy and excited to explain how everything works. My body has never felt better. This is something I am for sure going to make reoccurring because who doesn’t want to feel amazing! I would recommend her to anyone. My kids' plan to help me get a massage didn't help.

Mary Kinney: First deep tissue massage at this business and it was wonderful. Faith was my therapist and she was friendly and warm while giving a perfect massage based on my intake information. My husband's therapist was very good also and he loved the work he got. The environment was warm and relaxing and all the staff were wonderful. Excited to return for future pampering sessions.

The chlorine in the pool will burn your eyes from being so strong

However, if you want to use the weight room between 4:00pm and 7:30pm, during the week, the weight room does not have enough space or equipment to a accomodate the number of members using it. In addition, 80% of the members that are using it during that time are teenagers that are socializing and working out in groups of 3 to 4. So if you need to use a piece of equipment they are using, you could be waiting a long time. Makes for a frustrating workout. Also, the Cafe doesn't have good food like they did prior to Covid. Hoping to see improvements.

Noah Landon: Just because COVID happened 3 years ago doesn’t mean you can never close at 10 PM ever again. Nothing is making this place close at 9, yet they still do. Also, showers and locker rooms are open until 9:30, but you can’t use the gym until 9:30. Even back before COVID this rule didn’t make sense. As long as everyone is out at closing time, why does it matter if I’m showering or playing pickleball for the extra 30 minutes? Benefits are that it’s a great facility, tennis courts are free with a membership, and there’s pretty much something to do for everyone. However, I have had a lot of problems at this place within the 11 years I’ve been a member, some of my own doing, some definitely not of my own doing. Most of that is in the past, and now my biggest gripe is the hours. Close at 10 again and I’ll change my review. No excuse anymore.

hal morgan: I was a member for the last 2-3 years. It was a very frustrating process. I was regularly over billed. I paid a fee up front because I did not know they had a special promotion and the staff took the fee from me. I had to make a special trip during business hours to have the special promotion applied to my account. The office people reminded me I could cancel anytime and they would charge me the regular start up fee. It seemed like they were daring me, but I needed the facility in winter so I could be active when weather is cold. I enjoy tennis and it is how I stay active. Sadly the club does not understand how vital they are to the community enough to be fair with members.During Covid I did not feel comfortable using the facility and did not after covid because they changed their hours and it did not fit my schedule. I was still paying them to freeze my account, but they would only do it for so many months before they put me back to active. I did not contact them soon enough so they put me back to active for a month before I could get my account back on freeze. They would not hear that I did not plan on using the facility since I liked to use the facility late evenings. I was trying to determine if I could work with the new schedule since I primarily use the facility during the winter for Tennis.The end of my membership happened when my auto billing did not go through and I did not make my freeze payment 2 months and the active month. I was not using the facility and put off taking care of the bill.They indicated they sent me a final bill which they may have, but I did not recall getting it. I told them I would pay the balance and wanted to keep the membership, but they had sent me over to a collection agency already (that is how I found out my membership was cancelled). They charged me the $299 cancellation fee on top of my current bill of $249 and now the collection agency added on a fee and I owe $660. So my bill more than doubled.If you are looking for an indoor tennis facility Davison has a better setup with more leagues and a great guy running it. Save yourself the hassle of being over-billed (hard to catch when you auto pay), unforgiving staff who are cold and not responsive. This is a facility with no idea about how to treat tennis players and maybe other members.I see where they have responded to other complaints, but not to this one. It shows me they just don’t get it.

Jennifer: I love Genesys and excited to be going back after a summer break from the club. I've tried other facilities..and there's nothing like it. I appreciate the staff, management and like that it's always clean and welcoming. The monthly membership is not cheap..but in my opinion you get what you pay for.

BullOnWallSt: Planet Fitness at Genesee Valley is the best of the four locations in Genesee County. 75lbs dumbbells instead of 60lbs everywhere else and Hammer Strength equipment. The atmosphere is a bit better at Grand Blanc location with the pf 360, 30 minute, and stretch abdominal rooms all separated.

Will never return...and might just cancel my membership all together.
