Caden Vincent: I graduated 160 Driving Academy of Flint today (4/18/23) and I couldn't have been happier with this training facility. I successfully completed their Class A CDL training program with flying colors. The instructors were all fantastic! However, I want to especially say that the two instructors I would highly recommend are Penny & Keyon. From the very beginning, I knew Penny was someone I needed to latch onto. Penny was very professional and patient, and extremely knowledgeable of all faucets of driving truck. Penny took me under her wing, and made sure I was where I needed to be. The 160 Driving Academy would be nothing without their dedicated instructors, especially Penny & Keyon. Keyon was truly remarkable when it came to maneuvers as was Penny. Both of them taught me essential techniques that made it possible for me to handle maneuvering with confidence and precision. Keyon was also very patient and an all around great guy to converse with when waiting to get behind the wheel. Tom (yard leader) is an exceptional coordinator and very knowledgeable as well. Aaron is also someone to cling onto, especially when it comes to learning the 90 degree maneuver. Great Academy, awesome people, and good vibes, unconditional support; and honestly, hands down the best Driving Academy out there! Highly recommend it! Take my word for it! This next chapter of my life will be one for the books! Thanks again 160! I'm blessed! :)

Caz Rogo: I can NOT say enough great things about this home away from home. Absolutely amazing trainers! Tom(retired Marine still serving our country so things move!) and Erin(unbelievable coach that is patient and committed to getting you to the finish line) run a tight productive ship and the rest of the group helping train is amazing. Kyle is hands down 1 of the nicest humans out there. He is patient understanding and fun! Bubba is a wise young man. Jacob Penny Cowboy/Jessie Jose and Pete are phenomenal. Monica and T in the office are great to work with. You wont be disappointed at all when you come here. Listen to what they tell you and your CDL is there for you. Took me longer than others but guess what, I'm out here by myself driving regional feeling very proud of myself. I couldn't thank Jose Tom Pete Jesse and Dave enough for believing in me and all the help they gave me.

Anthony Arcuragi: Overall good experience, I worked mostly with Kristy, penny, and erin. They all have taught me something individually and appreciate all there help. Tom, ran the yard to his best ability. Word of advice to all incoming students, is to not be afraid to ask questions. Alot of the class is self taught and will need to be on top of learning.

Mario Neal: Penny, Christie, and Erin the best instructors there. If none of them are are working with you regularly prepare to be self taught.

Eh Anson: William Jones (the gentleman that refers to your school as his place of employment) and the people with him seem to find it acceptable to make threats to members of the public for exercising their rights.When that information was made public instead of addressing his behavior and the behavior of the employees who enabled the situation, 160 decided to threaten legal action against the men who had threats made against them.They could have taken what they've learned as an opportunity to train the people employed and attending about remaining professional when engaging with members of the public, but instead chose to threaten the victims of the inappropriate unprofessional behavior.Oh and apparently there's something under the seat of the white vehicle in the photo 🤔

Jennifer Sheridan: Not a bad school. Be prepared for it being largely self taught, a lack of structure in the yard (range) and a lot of inconsistencies between instructors. There are some great instructors and some not so great ones, just like anywhere. They work hard to correct any issues that are brought to their attention. Hands down the best instructors were Erin, Christie and Penny. Pete is a great boss and will help you any how he can. Definitely worth the investment.

Anthony Barry: I'm currently enrolled at 160, in Michigan. To date, my time with them has been fantastic. They actually care about the drivers they train and make sure each has the skills needed to succeed in the trucking industry. The student to instructor ratio is kept at 3 or 4 to one to ensure that focused attention can be given to everyone. So far, they have bent over backwards to accommodate me thru some recent tragedies, and I am so glad I decided to sign on with them in my quest to gain a quality skill set as a trained CDL driver.

Mike Cairo: I went to this school in hopes and thoughts of a new career. During in classroom time I studied at home and in class to make my grade. I went out to the yard and after a month of studying, learning about the truck, study materials and going for my final I made it 1 & Done. Got the job but let me explain not all companies are good. In this field you have to put your own needs first as companies don’t care about you only their contracts. Best advise is Owner Operator/ Lease Purchase. If you do a Lease Purchase make sure the truck is brand new if you can find it now. No Balloon Payments and walk away lease. Always do your Pre Trips as DOT is watching. Krys Rose: Came in thinking i'm never gonna be able to do this and they got me road test ready in 3 and a half weeks. Now im out here on the road. The intructors( Dave, Pete, Roy, Donte, and Jesse) were great, made me feel at home and like a little family in a short time. And Monica in the office got me set up and squared away quick, never had to wait long for a call back or reply. I traveled out of my home area to come here and im so glad I did!

Steve Millefoglie: I really enjoyed going to this school they taught me the necessary skills to be able to pass all my tests. I started there around late April , 1 week of classroom work and around 4 weeks of learning how to properly drive the semi truck and I passed this last Friday first time one and done!! All the instructors there are great to work with are very knowledgeable, they make sure you are understanding the vehicle terms and verbiage you will need to learn, driving menuvers and how to properly drive on the road.

Je'Kyla Vickers: Funny that On The Move has so many positive reviews. They must be from friends and or family members. I recently called to inquire about lessons for my 16 year old daughter. I was told that there was two upcoming classes. It wasn’t a guarantee that I would be able to get my daughter in the first session because at that current moment they weren’t sure about the class size. So they would get back with me to let me know which session my daughter could be in. I was also told at the same time I would have to pay a $100 deposit and text my daughters info in order for that to happen. Which was fine. I texted my daughters name, dob, address and school info and immediately paid the $100 deposit. Knowing the first session had started I assumed she wasn’t going to be in that class after not hearing back from the owner. So I called to see for myself what was going on. I was told that my daughter could have started that day. My first thought was if I paid the deposit and gave the info that was requested why wasn’t I informed about the start date? Due to lack of communication my daughter has missed the first day of class. During this same telephone conversation I was offered two time slots that was available. I chose the morning session due to the time and because my daughter has other obligations. I was informed that one of the classes that week would have a time change because of the instructors availability. Which was ok. I dropped my daughter off at the specific time given to only have my daughter text me moments later to say I needed to come pick her up. The class that was scheduled for that time was for segment 2 my daughter was in segment 1. So I referred back to the text messages that I received to make sure I just didn’t get the time confused. Which I didn’t. Then I was told by the instructor to bring her back later that day at 4 o’clock and also that following Friday’s class time has also been changed. By this time I’ve gotten frustrated because I was upfront and very clear that my daughter had a job and the evening classes would conflict with that. Reason why I opted out of the evening class and decided to put her in the morning class. I’m saying this to say the communication from this company is terrible. With that being said my daughter never returned. After that mixup I instantly found a better company who offered the same service for a better price. I found it very interesting that when I explained to that company what had happened they knew exactly what company I was referring to. I do not recommend On The Move to anyone. I found this company to not be reliable or professional at all. I’m sure they’ve been in business for quite awhile. So they should be more polished and well together by now.

Felicia Copeny: I cannot say enough about Ms. Faye's instruction and testing. I can tell she cares about the children and young adults she trains. Learning how to drive is already a surreal and nerve-wracking experience, so you need to put your child with someone who is compassionate (and not an emotionless drone). Both Ms. Faye and the instructor that administered the test were both caring and compassionate. I took my son to 2 different driver testing businesses before I took him to Faye. He wasn't comfortable with either and failed both tests. These were 2 different businesses who didn't seem to care and had no compassion whatsoever even when my son was visibly upset! This is the only training and testing site I'll recommend from now on. Especially, to people of color. Our children need to be allowed to have feelings and be frustrated too. And they deserve compassion and encouragement (all children deserve that). That is what you'll get here. Faye retrained my son on some things he needed to fix and the next day he passed. I implore you to go to her if you want results!!! Excellent Excellent Excellent service. 10,000 stars!

He was very kind and his calm and patient demeanor made me feel comfortable behind the wheel, and I could tell that he truly cared about my success as a driver. Kay: I appreciate the feedback I received after my road test. I would also like to add there is a true skill in being direct AND kind, and not condescending and disrespectful. If you are going to work with the public, especially in the service of them completing a road test the best thing you can do is make sure you create a friendly environment from the beginning of your interaction to the end even if someone has failed the test. If you can't do that then maybe the best thing you can do is find something else to do, or better yet find a therapist to work out your issues that way. You don't do that with people who are coming to you for a service. I don't know what made her feel comfortable behaving that way with me, but what I do know is that her behavior was unacceptable and chaotic. I understand she has the responsibility of ensuring that people are safe drivers but giving feedback does not include disrespect and aggression. I kept my cool and thanked her for her time and feedback but I was appalled by her unprofessionalism. Thankful that I learned the lesson that just because someone has a high rating doesn't necessarily mean good and quality service. There may be validity in her reviews of her being professional and helpful however I was not one of those people.Update to your response: Rachel, you were the only one yelling. I asked for you to write down your feedback on a sheet of paper. But I “yelled” at you?! Please don’t do that. Stop lying and just say I had a bad day before I administer your test. Coming onto the expressway slow…Yes, I can admit that. Semi-trucks slamming their brakes….not so much. Poor character.3rd comment: First it was “slowly” merging and now it’s “abruptly” merging on the expressway. Got it. You have a business but instead of considering feedback you are making excuses for your unprofessionalism and adding misleading details to fit your narrative. This is coming from someone who says that they felt so unsafe and uncomfortable and yet during the ride were not sitting properly in their seat throughout the test and didn't take over the car or ended the test early. Which as an administer you are instructed to do when you feel it is unsafe. But that didn't happen. Okay, I got it. I do not thrive on giving negative reviews and like to give people the benefit of the doubt but horrible services.Yet, it saddens me that you have this job. People, please go somewhere else where you will be treated with respect rather or not you have passed or failed. Not having an administrator who makes the experience uncomfortable with their hostile attitude and unprofessionalism from the beginning to the end of your interaction. It can be nerve-wracking as it is to take the test. The last thing you need is to take it in that type of environment. Thank goodness other companies care.

Lake Breeze: This is the second time I’ve used AK Services for my daughters to take their drivers tests. A year or so ago Rachael put my first daughter at ease and was very professional. So my second daughter wanted to drive with Rachael also. she/we drove over an hour from Midland to test with her. My daughter was prepared and had practiced a lot prior to the test, but teenage nerves can still be prevalent, but Rachael made her feel comfortable and at the end, she told her she had done an excellent job, and passed. Don’t blame the instructor, if you or your child don’t pass the test, she wants safe drivers on the road, and is fair in her scoring to determine whether she thinks you are ready or not.

He wasn’t confident enough they said- he tested with Autumn and she told him he did absolutely nothing wrong and was a great driver. She spoke with him the whole time to ease his nerves.
