DiamondSage: Still haven't completed my tune tried to call and call again each time I show up the gates are closed, emailed them finally got ahold of me and as soon as to plan something no more responses, I've paid for a full tune and only received "base" tune even after fixing the problem they had. And as soon as I picked it up my abs light is on, I've had a poor experience and they have kept my money even after trying to get some communication to atleast get it back for a uncompleted tune.
Shelbey Daley: Shaun is the biggest scammer, he took $650 cash for a start & street tune…. Barely answered calls or texts. Had to show up in person multiple times over a course of 2 months. When I finally was told everything had been tuned/test driven & my truck was ready to be picked up, not even 3 hours later my truck shut off while driving. Lost power in the gas pedal. Took it back same day & was told my heads were gonna have to be replaced & possibly blew a rod (my engine had just been completely rebuilt). I found out they took my whole left side spark plug panel off & put it in my trunk & never even did the tune. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.
Dave Rose: Ordered and paid for an Ecotec engine advertised on their website last September 2021. I’ve received nothing but excuses for nearly a year now. Communicating with Shaun is next to impossible. I am both profoundly frustrated and disappointed. Never knew it was so easy for a Michigan business to steal $6,600 and get away with it.
Roger King: I order a computer from alpha they sent wrong one I sent it back and spoke with them they supposed to sent me right one been waiting on one for months still no computer they give me a run around on phone and text messages they want answer phone or text now still no computer they are a bunch of crooks !! They deserve no stars they are crooks!!
Zach Symmonds: Shaun and Kevin McColley are the biggest Scammers/Crooks. DO NOT send them money. I purchased an engine from them in December 2021. It was supposed to be ready in February. Then I called and they explained they were waiting on parts. Thjen after repeat calls I was finally able to get a hold of Shaun and he said that it would be shipped in a couple of weeks. I received a text saying it was shipped. Then I reached out asking for tracking a couple of weeks later. No Response. Then I tried calling, emailing and texting multiple times a day trying to get a response. Still nothing. They are crooked enough to purposely drag out the 180-day policy through PayPal so I cannot get a refund through them. So, I am out $4300 until I can resolve this with lawyers. I cannot believe this company sells to the Air Force. I have been doing everything I can to contact the Air Force and let them know they are ripping people off left and right.
Thomas Blankenhorn: Purchased and order from them and never received it but took my money!!! Never answered there phones or emails!!! Don't give this company a dime, they are fake. Had to contact my state police and lawyers to try and get my money back.
Mak Kapone: Held my car for weeks and did nothing to help alleviate it's problem. Don't answer their phone have to show up in person to get a response. This is a tune up shop, not a repair shop, don't be fooled like I was.
Heathe: Do not trust Shaun Mccolley, owner of alpha motorsports, in any way, i ordered a supercharger kit from him on January 13, 2022. It was nothing but excuse after excuse as to why i wasnt recieving what i had fully paid for. I even contacted procharger and they couldnt give me any info on my order. Finally he said it was on the truck being shipped our way then two weeks after he hadnt called me to tell me it was in, i called him and the new excuse was that they sent the wrong parts. I heard rumors from people i work with that he uses peoples money to run his business and probly never even ordered my kit, which i believe 100% after my experience. So then on June 16, 2022, five months after i ordered my kit i asked for a refund. He gave me excuses as to why it would take a while for me to get my money back, so we contacted the credit card and they said there is no reason for it taking so long. So here it is July 26, 2022, six months after placing my order and my credit card refunded my money because Shaun Mccolley is committing credit card fraud and still hasnt refunded a single cent to them out of $7,600. Im lucky i used a credit card because they have lawyers and the funds to handle scum bags like this guy. Save your self the headache and possibly getting ripped off and go somewhere else. If you find it necessary to do business with Shaun Mccolley DO NOT prepay for anything or you might get scammed. Im sure he will have some sort of excuse after he sees this post too, dont believe him. Im just trying to save other people from the same nightmare ive experienced.

Your response to pick up at anytime WHY you took engine out but didn’t put one in. As the attorney letter sent to you stated we wanted the car back in the shape it was left to you a year ago. As far as the bill, there was a deposit and remaining when completed. So AGAIN if you want a 5 star company to RIP you off, Alpha Motors is your place!!!

kyle hamlin: Horrible experience. I will never be coming to this shop ever again. No communication, continuous lies and bad grade quality work with no warranty. My car has been in this shop for almost a year now and I still can’t get it back due to horrible communication and lies. My car sat outside in the back lot for 10+ months and was purely neglected and abused. I wouldn’t recommend alpha motorsports to anyone. Caliper bolts were taken out of my car on purpose from this shop. Upon arrival to pick car up there was absolutely oil in the car and yet they continued to say they didn’t have any spare oil at an engine shop? On top of that the car had no brake fluid whatsoever on purpose trying to danger my life. ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE SHOP AND BUSINESS. Never go here unless you want problems or your life in danger. Also left shop with body damage that was no previously there. Horrible place.

Harry Campbell: I am all the way in California but the Alpha Motorsports guys make me feel like they are right next door. The quality and delivery of their parts was very good. I have had three technicians helping me with my build and very impressed with how knowledgable they are about ecotec engines. I have called them everyday for product information and install instructions. They never once made me feel like i was bugging them with mundane questions. If it were not for Randy answering my text and phone messages and giving me expert advice I could not have put together this 2.4 turbo ecotec engine on my own. Alpha Motorsports is a dominate force to be reckon with in the automotive industry.

Diana Nielson: Hoover & Sons was so helpful getting my car back in shape to hit the road again. I was unable to reach highway speeds anymore and getting up to 50mph was a chore. I tried to diagnose it myself (thinking it was the camshaft position sensor, map sensor, or worse the transmission) but everything seemed alright with them and there were no codes either. After taking it to Hoover & Sons, they were able to quickly diagnose it as a clogged catalytic converter. They were able to get it replaced in less than a week. I took it out for a test drive on the highway and it was phenomenal! I was able to merge off the onramp onto the highway at 70 whereas before I was getting on at about 45 or 50mph. I am very please with the work they accomplished on my vehicle, not to mention it was affordable too!Services:Exhaust,Auto engine diagnostic
Barry Wilson: I didn't think this kind of customer service existed anymore. My car was leaking coolant and I needed it fixed quickly. I just moved into town and found Hoover and Sons online. Drove over met Nick, he had my car diagnosed in just a few minutes, cracked radiator. Gave me a very fair price. Chuck the owner gave me a ride because I had ro get to a meeting. They called me back four hours later, all fixed. Nick picked me up in my car so I I could test drive it. Went back , paid my bill, visited with Rose their Yorkie and left a very happy customer. They will get all my work from now on.

Nathan Dew: No, Mr. Hoover, that isn't what happened i came in for a shiftercable and was told by one of your mechanics recommended I get the carrier bearing done as well. I agreed and waitied 2 weeks. Feed back was passed to one of your mechanics about the heat when I dropped my vehicle off. I'm sorry your mechanics dont pass feedback... When I asked you Mr. Hoover about the heat you said it was a loose wire to the blower motor which was a lie. Furthermore the carrier bearing was installed incorrectly. I'm not looking for sympathy sir but perhaps empathy and honesty to future customers. I've been got by you guys twice so I will no longer be doing business with you and recommend others take theirs elsewhere. Also if working on an older vehicle is an issue for your shop perhaps you shouldn't take the job. Ordering parts and/or getting them at the local auto parts store has never been an issue for me, wasn't aware of the part shortage nor the milk shortage at Dollar General. Ty for making me aware sir.

Barbara Taylor: Hoover & Sons took really good care of me regarding my Jeep Wrangler. I had always taken my Jeep to the dealership where I purchased it. But after receiving a 2nd quote on services that I DID NOT need, and the 2nd quote doubled in pricing within 2-3 months, I knew that I needed to go elsewhere. Hoover had fixed my daughter's older vehicle a few years back and did a great job. So I decided to give them a try. I'm so glad I did. I will be utilizing Hoover & Sons from now on.

I went up there 3 times to get my car after that called and told me to come get it and each time something was wrong and it wasn't able to drive away. Then I was charged another $300 or $400 for the repairs that should have been done already.Edit:You think my review is fake? My car was a 2002 jeep liberty that I took to you for an engine swap. Back in December. My review was taken down for some unknown reason so I hade to make a short one.. if you call me a liar chuck I will post all the receipts I have of y'all ripping me off.

Matthew Griffith: I had to get my alternator replaced. The vehicle was towed to the shop because of this. They called me and told me that the only alternator they had that could be obtained was 400 dollars. So I called around after asking who they had accounts with and found one in five minutes for 237 dollars. After calling back and telling them they told me if I went that route it's be more expensive and that the man was trying to "help me out". All together it was 741 dollars to replace an alternator. If you have any other mechanic go to them because these guys are out for your money or at least with my experience they were.This second part is in response to what you replied. I did authorize the job to be done yes because I wasn't going to get it towed elsewhere. Your employee never mentioned anything about the quality of part, he straight up told me that I couldn't have that one because you guys didn't accept customer parts. Your a liar and if you want to make things right refund me partial on this because it never should have been this costly .

Sweetvk: I talked to other women who had been having their cars repaired there,they were well pleasedI was very pleased as well.The service seemed quicker this time,I called to see how much it would cost to get a radiator put on my 2013 Chevrolet Captiva,I was surprised and very appreciative since im on a fixed income.I dropped her off( my car)Wednesday morning about 9:15 am and she was ready at 12:00 noon.And she runs like a new car,unlike the bad service that I received at Delta Tire and Service,which caused all my car problems on 1 visit.My warranty company send me there but never ever will i go there again.I should have gotten a quote on how much it would cost to rehook up my hazard lights that Delta unhooked and didnt hook back up again when installing my heater core.Guess i will call again.

I highly recommend not using this shop, they will rip your head off and not stand behind their poor work. I just went to a reputable shop, they fixed what they messed up and did things correctly with only $190 out of pocket. These guys are money hungry and ruthless!
