VOODOO OFFICIAL: In 2018 I was in an accident and in the hospital for 31 days and had numerous surgeries on my leg. I was able to make payment plan arrangements with all of my bills with the exception of the Anesthesia Practice Consultants. They wanted the complete bill paid off in 6 months and over many calls I explained that I could not afford that and I wanted to make payments, but need it to be under $100 a month. They refused. The Anesthesiologist also completely knocked out my upper bridge at the time which covers the entire top front section of my teeth (4 in total right in the front). Their insurance company paid for a new bridge replacement and I let it go at that.Now I get a letter today that they are suing me for the bill which is $1,350.26 plus recoverable costs and interest. Again I called them and the law firm explaining all of the above. They still want over $100 a month which I can not afford.I am now using going to use an attorney to countersue Anesthesia Practice Consultants for pain and suffering I had to experience for months while I had to wait to have an entire new bridge made and put in.Anesthesia Practice Consultants will NOT work with you on reasonable payments and are lawsuit happy. MetroHealth uses their services and I am also filing a complaint with the hospital recommending that they use another service for anesthesia. It is absolutely absurd that they refuse to look at ones payment abilities and come to a balanced payment plan. If you end up in the hospital, I highly recommend asking who they use for anesthesia and if it is Anesthesia Practice Consultants, see if the hospital has other optional providers.And don’t respond with the same scripted comment over and over like you have done with all the negative reviews on here.Signed - Larry Roberts

Denise: When you go into the hospital you will get billed twice. One from the hospital and the other from these people. Now even the anesthesiologist nurses are billing separate. One visit and you will get 5 or 6 different bills outside of the hospital bill. The bonus is that nobody introduces themselves and lets you know this information. They all look like they work for the hospital. Plus they bill within hours after they see you so your deductible is being hit before the hospital can bill you. If they just waited a few weeks to bill, chances are that your deductible would be fulfilled and they would be covered. This doesn’t happen because the hospital bill takes a bit longer. Good luck having them work with you.

Aj M.: Anesthesia part was just fine, but the billing part was awful. Received one statement in Dec 2018, made a payment. Received the next statement in April 2019. If you value your credit you'll need to babysit the billing statement cadence, because these clowns won't.

I feel like I'm being held hostage by the anesthesiologists for paying a ridiculous dreamed up amount that they feel they can get away with because they're "out of network".We went to the hospital we did because it was in network. Our delivery doctor was in network and the assisting doctor was in network. I had no idea the anesthesiologists (yes plural as in 2) were out of network. Why did we even need 2? I have no clue. Why can someone out of network just pick whatever amount they feel like charging us and refuse to negotiate because they're "out of network" and have "no contract".West Michigan Anesthesia is a shady unethical business and people need to hear it. This company also goes by Anesthesia Practice Consultants. Specifically, the two anesthesiologists that refuse to negotiate and charge a fair/market rate are Kaitlin Vanlente and Nancy Vendenbrook. REFUSE service from these two people or this company.My insurance company has tried to negotiate and I have called myself and tried to negotiate and this company refuses to budge. They know they can get away with "balance billing" me because they're "out of network". There are laws against balance billing in other states and for good reason. I wish Michigan had some protections in place to keep this company honest.I don't want more people to go through the headache I'm going through where this business keeps sending me bills when my deductible has been met and they won't accept a fair amount from my insurance company.To the management of this company...get your act together and serve the people of West Michigan with honor and integrity. This kind of behavior is appalling and I for one won't silently allow it to occur.

Laura Bastion: Dr Hinshshaw and his staff are patient listen to your concerns and try to find different solutions for your pain. Pain is complicated and so different for each individual but they definitely treat you as you as a individual. I highly recommend them.
