Best Appliance Repair Service Grand Rapids Near Me

Zach Zokoe: Ron came to my home with his son to fix my Whirlpool double oven that was not working. After inspecting the oven they were sure it was the igniter. His son (who he is apprenticing) changed out the igniter and it still didn’t work, I don’t believe Ron inspected his work but I could be wrong. So his son put my old igniter back on and they charge me a service fee of $125. Ron said he would do some research and follow up with me in a few days. He wasn’t very familiar with the double oven and didn’t know what the issue was. He did call back in a few days and explained he still wasn’t sure he knew what the problem was but he could try something else out (Which I didn’t understand as he explained it over the phone) and it would cost me $550 for parts and labor to fix. I declined and decided to call Whirlpool. They sent out a different repair company and their service tech fixed it in less than 20 minutes. He said it was obvious it was the igniter. My oven is now working like new. I called Ron to explain that I have been without my oven working for 2 months, I had to pay a second service fee and all along it was the igniter that they should have fixed on the first trip. He said there was nothing he could do for me. He doesn’t reverse service fees. I think that is unreasonable therefore I would not recommend using this company.

Susan Woods: If you were negatively affected by Covid 19, like losing a loved one or dealing with long-term health complications from having it, you may want to skip this company. In letting us know that parts might be delayed, he actually used the word "scamdemic". It's bad business. You don't know what your customers experienced during the pandemic. My mom came out of the hospital with a feeding tube and on a vent after Covid. This was disrespectful and gross.Edited to add: Ron did show up on time for his appointment, so I added a star to my initial review. Communication was slow at times. Though, he did apologize for that.

He owned up to it, took responsibility, and reversed my $150 charge.I specifically called Mr. appliance due to high google ratings and phrases like “affordable pricing” or “fair pricing”. After the repairman left I felt like I paid them $150 for absolutely nothing since my dishwasher was not fixed and the appointment lasted 5 minutes. This experience left such a weird feeling in my gut, it was one of those situations when you know something is absolutely not right. It did not make any sense.Receptionist was nice and got appointment for my leaky dishwasher scheduled immediately. I did some trouble shooting before the repairman showed up and shared a few videos with him when he arrived. He confirmed the leak coming exactly where I pointed out on my videos within 45 seconds of coming to my house. The next 5 minutes we spent chatting while he was writing an estimate. Repair estimate came to $803.He diagnosed a leak coming from a diverter and told me it is an expensive fix. He continued to communicate that due to my dishwasher being 9 years old, other things will start breaking within a year so buying a new dishwasher is a better choice. While he did not inspect any other parts to make that statement, I could logically understand that he was speaking from experience. Needless to say I did not pay $803 to fix a leak in my dishwasher.I called someone else for a second opinion. Come to find out, all my dishwasher needed was a $10 part. I ordered it and I was showed how to replace it. It took me 30 minutes to complete this task, replace the worn out part, put everything together including hooking everything back up. That’s it. He was very knowledgeable in the field and never seem like he rushed his process. He had a very high attention to detail with the blueprint. Torey Heinz: Larry worked on our dishwasher last year, and it turned out that I did not route the drain hose properly. He did a great job and was very professional, so when all the lights came on, and the dishwasher stopped completely I didn't hesitate to call him again.This time he was able to diagnosis the problem over the phone and decided based on the age and model of the dishwasher it wasn't worth repairing. He gave some recommendations, and advice on how to fix my microwave as well.

The next day, not only was my dryer repaired, but cleaned out in places I would have never thought to check. They also put the loose change found in the dryer on top. Philip: Does good work knows what he is doing. Our fridge was leaking water, I did everything google searchs suggested w/o luck. He fixed the issue and explained our problem also changed the angle our fridge was on to help the draining. Believe it or not part of our problem was the temp for both the fridge and freezer were set to cold! Thank you! It's been about 7 months now w/o any issues.

Simon Carlson: I had been smelling a small dose of gas from behind my gas range / oven for a couple years. It was very occasional. I decided to finally call someone about it. Reges was very honest with me upfront letting me know that they may not be able to smell it when they get there with it being so infrequent. I opted for peace of mind and had them come out to take a look.Brennen was on-time and very professional. He pulled out the stove and checked the gas connection points. Sure enough, he found a small leak on on the backside nut of the safety valve. He said I would need to a call plumber to fix the repair. He apologized that he couldn't fix it, but in my eyes, his diagnosis was worth the cost of the service call. If anything happens in the future with my appliances, Reges is certainly getting the call.I won't hesitate to give Reges Service and Repair a call in the future.

Brennan came and fixed it quickly and efficiently for a very reasonable price. He also gave me tips on increasing the longevity of the washer. Very, very happy with Reges quick service and Brennan's professionalism. I will definitely call Reges again if any of my appliances need servicing.
