Rio Grand Steakhouse: what do users think?
Ping Vuong: Yes, the food is so good
Michael Bigelow: It was early and they were not busy. Of the 10 meals, only the salads were acceptable. Very apologize wait staff...and our bill was adjusted, however it's doubtful if we try them again.Food: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Denny Monroe: Had fried white fish dinner. Very good. Others with me had good steaks.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Skye Merrick: Delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, good service. We did not wait long and had a great meal.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Kyra Todd: Food was OK but over priced (especially for the quality). Attached is a picture showing the $7 children's hamburger. Our chicken was burnt. Our server was incredibly nice but over booked and not fully trained. Not a good experience for a $175 check (4 adult dinners with lemonades, 2 kids dinners, and 1 appetizer, no alcohol ordered)Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere was welcoming to kids. The children's menu was uninspired and over priced.
Cindy Patin: At supper here on May 7, 2023, as part of a crowd of 16 people. They were able to accommodate our group, with a brief wait to arrange tables. The food was excellent! Large portions, beautifully prepared. They brought out eight orders at a time, all hot and ready to eat, with the other eight orders following close behind, hot and ready to eat. Our waitress was wonderful, as well! (Sierra)! I also appreciated the professionalism of the staff, including how they were dressed! We will return!
Dave Miller: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Laura Smith: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
RaeAnne Burke: The shrimp fettuccine was not worth the price. The sauce needs more flavor and noodles were over cookedFood: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Susan E: Good food, very good service! Not really the place to go for vegetarians, and definitely not for vegans. Even though the prices were high (I mean...they're high everywhere, I suppose), the portions were very generous. The dinner salad was huge.
Fred R: Food was good, service hit and miss when busy. Needs more staff like many places short on help. The manager was very attentive and with helping the staff during busy dinner time. Salads are great, though some of the meat entrees are getting expensive. Facility maintenance and updates are needed.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes French Onion Soup, House Salad …More
Tammy Babcock: Service was excellent. We liked the atmosphere. They give you very very generous portions. We will be back. One complaint that we did not address that evening and should have. One of us got the surf-n-turf. The steak was supposed to be medium. It was well done - no pink at all. Should have sent back because of the price. We will go back but will make sure we remind them what a medium steak is. Everything else was EXCELLENT.
Katie Baker: Food: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5More
Derrick Doyle: The food was very sub-par for the relatively high prices. My New York strip was okay. My nephew's sirloin was just good. The salads were literally yellow lettuce--nothing green on the plate. But most irritating was our server. I forgot her name, but she was a blonde-haired senior lady who made us all feel like we were a burden to her somehow from the very beginning. She was impatient with taking our orders, and slow to check back in with us for refills, etc. She did soften a little bit towards the end, you know, about when it was tip time. There's a steak place nearby called Blue Water that is MUCH better, and less expensive.

Yeah Buddy Forreal: Service was good. Cesar salad was nice and fresh. Floor under our table was dirty, a half a lemon was under my feet.Ordered a steak it was cooked perfectly. Our waitress warned us of the “ heavily seasoned steak” boy she wasn’t exaggerating! The salt bomb I received was ruined by over salt/seasoning. I used my water to rinse off the “salt seasoning “ it was way too heavy for me. It ruined that steak. My husband agreed , his was too salty too.So Becareful if you order a steak here if you have high blood pressure or edema!Next time I will definitely say“ NO HEAVY SEASONING “ on my steak.Got home and my ankles were swollen from too much sodium.

Ryeisha Yancy: Absolutely amazing food. This was our first time going to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Everyone enjoyed their food, the waitress was very tentative and made sure we had everything we needed. Appetizers came extremely fast and tasted really good. We had to wait for our table but they send you a text message when your table is ready. We will definitely be back to this location.
James Taylor: we ordered a ribeye and a fillet/lobster for dinner. Noelle was our server and was kind, super attentive, and helpful. The food was prepared properly and served hot and ready. We even has a visit from the manager Amira Andraous to double check the food and Noelle's efforts which were heartily endorsed. Visit them frequently because the amount of food was worth the money and Noelle is the frosting on the cake (we actually took our cake home!)
Heather Johnson: Ordered my steak medium and it came rare and almost still mooing. Both of our drinks were so strong they were undrinkable.Food: 1/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More

Patty Skrycki: Parking: Plenty of parking spots.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on just one level with no stairs.Dietary restrictions: I'm not sure about people with lactose concerns, but they do have many vegetable options. They are a steakhouse overall.

The Chop House Grand Rapids: what do users think?
H Williams: This was my first experience dinning at The Chop House. The atmosphere was nice and the dinning area was clean. My party was seated in the basement. I was not aware that there was basement seating, which was fine. However, the hostess didn't inquire if anyone needed to access an elevator (if there was one available). The wait staff was very attentive and knowledgeable when it came to menu questions and recommendations. My water glass was always full and the plates were cleared immediately (table crumbs too).I ordered the Cowboy Ribeye. It was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Au Gratin potatoes were delicious. The sauce on the 3 cheese macaroni and cheese was watery, but it could be just preference as I like a thicker cheese sauce.I would definitely return for another dinning experience.
Cellme12: Don’t except the table in the basement, by the wine and wine glass storage. Unless you don’t mine waiter’s squeezing behind your chair to get bottles of wine and glasses through out your meal.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
shawn broad: Great service and amazing food

Mike Wambaugh: Upscale restaurant, amazing servers, and even better food. Be prepared to pay, but for the experience of an awesome atmosphere and top-notch food, well worth itFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes The Chop …More
Tam F: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Maine Lobster BisqueMore
Demetrius Collette: My food was delicious. I had the aged NY strip, Brussel sprouts, the lobster tail bites and the calamari. The calamari had to much sauce on it but was still good. I also had a cheesecake to go.
Tank: Eating at this place is an event. They employ the best servers who treat you like you are special. The chefs are experts in ensuring the temperature of your steak is spot on. In the 6 times I’ve eaten here, the temperature has only been off once and they redid the order to make it right and gave me a free dessert also! They truly are the premier eatery in Grand Rapids. They aren’t cheap, but they are worth it!
Craig Nance: Service was excellent, Waygu steak did not live up to the hype.
Chen Seleena: Celebrated my fiancé’s 40th birthday here last night. Top notch dining experience from start to finish. Exceptional food and attentive customer services. For appetizers we had Lollipop Lamb Chops and Crispy Fried Oyster Mushrooms; for mains, Pan Seared Diver Scallops and Surf & Turf. Desserts and drinks were delicious too. We cannot wait to come back here and celebrate more special occasions.

Keletso Thaga: I ordered a medium Cowboy. And a baked Potato. Steak was well seasoned and tender.

Luis Cruz: Great place for dinner.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ricky McHooven: The servers set down your plates at the same time for your main course (how fun). Our waiter was really funny and the drinks were delicious. The whole meal was a treat and the only thing I managed to remember to take pictures of were the deserts.Oh and the Spanish coffee was perfect to add to the desert!
S G: This was our third experience at Chop House and it was the first time we were extremely disappointed. We chose the Moroccan shrimp for an appetizer, the sauce was delicious but the shrimp was extremely over cooked and chewy. Then came soup and salad which we had no issues with. The bread was not cooked all the way through. I had a filet mignon that was supposed to be medium well and was severely undercooked and parts were rare, my husband ordered the NY dry rub and his was supposed to be medium rare and was very over cooked. I’m wondering if the steak temps got messed up. The Brussel sprouts were drenched in way too much Dijon sauce and needed salt badly. We paid almost $300 for the meal and this type of mistake should not have happened. We were just extremely disappointed in the food and the amount of mistakes presented at this meal, we likely will not return. The photo is of the filet mignon and is supposed to be medium well.

Olivia Baker: We arrived around 3:45 pm on a Saturday, so it wasn’t too busy. The restaurant is clean and the salmon that I ordered was caramelized outside and juicy. Very flavorful and the broccoli was seasoned without being too salty. The cinnamon butter and bread is a nice treat to have while waiting on dinner. Nice place.
Elyssa Whittum: maybe would’ve given a better review if we would’ve GOTTEN A SEAT. waiting 15-20 minutes no seat. wasn’t even busy at all

Katlin Soderstrom: When me and my wife heard about branns We were so exited to support a locally owned businesses ,we love eating out! But.. we were met with a very very loud host .the appetizers were decent but when it came to our main meal, the ribs I was flabbergasted to find not one but 3 small curly hairs in my food. I was absolutely disgusted. When I approached this problem with my server I was meet with a lack of sympathy and sarcasm. I am utterly disappointed with this establishment.I will not be coming back. 😡
Monque Ray: My steak was bland, the baked potato really small. Rolls came out hot but appeared to be microwaved, they were hard in a minute and didn’t finish it. Go down the street to Longhorn steak house instead just minutes away.

Carolyn Wells: Literally the first Friday night table and it took over an hour for our food. Waitress kept saying food was coming and sorry she was only allowed to put in 4 orders at a time, meanwhile tables filled up and were eating before us. Steaks are basic bar food steaks, bread that was brought to table was microwaved warm, and nachos were very low grade. Will never return and do not recommend. Traveled from OHIO and was hoping for a not familiar place. This was a mistake. 🤮🤮

David Reynolds: Vday, unreal, wife is chef and had only one comment, au grautin taters short on spices, and still great,, some dish or two usually goes home to be fixed, taters were eaten as was, and no fixes to any of the take home.Server Andrea, consummate. Personable, not intrusive, attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, dish prep and ingredients, and fun. The atmosphere is quiet, subtle, no distractions. One glass wine, two mixed drinks, two entrées with sides, salad and mushroom soup as apps. Bone in ribeye, perfect. Salmon on rice, perfect. I'm rice-neutral, this was among the best I've ever had and could be eaten for breakfast every morning. Huge flavor. Asparagus was firm at the tip and no stranding down the stalk, and huge. All the portions were large enough for take home. We ate about half of everything. It's a lot of food. 2hrs of perfect coursing. All that for $240 with tip. Worth every penny.
Kris Rewa: Amazing foodGreat atmosphereSmall and intimate
Danaea Trombley: Was enjoying the experience but then it took the waitress over 45 minutes to return with our bills and change. Absolutely unacceptable. The food was good but the service isn’t acceptable. No one should have to spend an extra 45 minutes in a restaurant just to pay their bill.
Cory Newman: Great food, nice golf course.
Klynt Marcusse OLD: Incredible food, excellent service, we always get great parking! 🚁
David Backstrom: Service and food is fabulous. Perfect place to go for special occasions. Dinning in this restaurant is an experience in food and service.
Dan Burrington: Excellent meal. Johnny was our server and made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant.
Tina Tran: This restaurant is quite lovely. It's located inside a different restaurant, but it's in the back and quiet. I was recently there for a special occasion and they printed the occasion information right on the menu. It was a beautiful touch to our anniversary dinner. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly, so worth the extra price for prime meats.
Joe Graves: Everything was top notch, especially the service! It was beyond amazing. Thank you Krista and Johnny!
John Fletcher: Friendly service, waitress was very good. The steak tasted good, but about half was fat. Mashed potatoes were very dry.
Samantha Badders: I wish I could afford to go here more often. Both times we’ve come the food has blown our minds. I highly recommend the king crab dip. Krista was our server both times and she is just great. We will definitely be back.
John316: Second experience was a disappointment!Brought a group of ten of us to Vintage for a nice meal. We were here once before and enjoyed the service and food so much that we wanted to share the experience with our good friends. Our server must have been having a horrible night. We arrived at 6pm and were the only table in the restaurant. So it wasn’t like he was busy. He did not smile. He didn’t introduce himself and he just seemed like he didn’t want to be there. He didn’t tell us about the specials and or go over the menu. His attitude was so bad that we were embarrassed that we brought our friends to the restaurant. When I asked if there were any specials he said no and walked away. After getting drinks for the kids he walked by and said “just so you know I don’t do refills unless you ask.” That was it and he walked off..We were left sitting there for twenty minutes before anyone came back to see if we were ready to order. His attitude was so bad that we asked to have another server.I was so surprised by the poor service as well as were our friends. The food was excellent but the service was awful!! When you spend over $600 for dinner you expect better service!!Not writing this restaurant off but I will request a different server next time.
Greg Gates: Absolutely incredible restaurant - my wife and I's favorite in the Grand Rapids area. Certainly pricey, but absolutely worth it. Steak has always been cooked perfectly to order and the beef tartare is immaculate. My pro tip: order the truffle fries appetizer with your steak entrees instead of the mashed potatoes. You won't be sorry :)
Michael Mckay: Nice very small quaint setting...service was great, steak was good, apps good, cocktails great, au gratin potatoes bland and very disappointing
Luke Nobel: Very excellent!! Will not be disappointed!
Danyelle Wright: Great Food! Perfect Monday Burger Special with Wine 🍷 hit the spot for my husband and I to split!
Nicholas P: Great Service, amazing food
Ben Keaton: Pretty nice, overpriced not the best service
Curtis Kortman: Excellent food! The shrimp appetizers were amazing, sides were all great, steak was delicious.
Beth Van Prooyen: Great food
