Artists Creating Together: what do users think?
Penny Grear: I take 2 different groups from Kent ISD Community Transition Campus. The staff is excellent, very welcoming, friendly, informative.
Joseph Kowalski: This is a wonderful organization that supports artists both young and old! If you are considering having an artist attend one of their programs, you will not be disappointed. If you are able to attend one of their public viewings of the art created by their artists, you will be impressed with the artwork they have produced. This is a wonderful organization supporting artists with many abilities.
rachel Hyde: ACT is a welcoming community where I’ve felt valued as a donor and volunteer. The staff works so hard to provide programming that is not only fun but also helps artists of all abilities express themselves and grow in meaningful ways. Through relationships with teaching artists and community, ACT seems to truly live out its mission in every way.
Ryan Schmidt: I have worked extensively with this organization and can only say good things about it. The staff, board, teaching artists, volunteers, and interns are all extremely dedicated to fulfilling the mission of ACT to empower people with disabilities through the arts and it’s incredible to see in action!
Juli Wiseman: Artists Creating Together is such a loving and accepting community. We are so lucky to have this organization in Grand Rapids. The teachers and staff are very accommodating and bring out the artist in every individual who participates. in their programs. My daughter has been involved with ACT for almost a year and looks forward to her drumming class every week!
Emily Mann: Artists Creating Together allows people of all abilities the fundamental right of being able to access the arts. Whether it's drumming, acting, watercolor, various forms of dancing, show choir, and countless others, the staff at ACT and the teaching artists show every participant that their voice matters and that their voice will be heard. Thank you for your dedication to not only the arts but to the people you service as well.
Carissa Beadling: This place is such an amazing spot! They truly give a safe place to let out your creativity with music and art. With the help of professional artists they offer a variety of classes from drumming, painting, gardening, ect! Grand Rapids is so lucky to have this place!
Vincent Frank: ACT is a great place for people with and without disabilities to be involved with the arts. I interned here and it was a great experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable in their respective subject areas. ACT really makes a difference in the GR community.

Grand Valley Artists: what do users think?
Ruth Gunneson-Poling: Terri is very friendly. I am doing a 3 Saturday workshop taught by somatic therapist Nora Faber Overvoorde. She's a clayboard artist and offers classes in her home studio. I am thinking of joining Grand Valley Artists.
Mary Clare: I very much enjoy teaching at Grand Valley Artists studio. Respectful and kind people all around.
Moon Circles Enchanted Garden: I enjoy painting in the studio, and hanging out with other artists. Members support one another's artistic development. It is a great place to take classes, see or have an art show, and learn about art events in West Michigan. Membership is less than 100 a year. If you are looking to have artwork done for your home or business, there are artists who do every style of painting and photography. I recommend.
Evie Carrier: Epic Creativity and Amazing Artists!!
Mary Helmic: Focused on the visual arts, this organization is very welcoming. As a member, I've had several opportunities to show my work at the GVA gallery and other exhibitions in West Michigan. Highly recommend checking it out!

Lions and Rabbits Center for the Arts: what do users think?
Melissa Bare: Wonderful staff and a breath taking venue! Hosted a wedding reception here and it couldn't have worked out better! Make sure your guests know the extra parking options in advance and you'll have a great time.
Steve Leaf: I recently had an event as Lions & Rabbits and I have to say I was wildly impressed with the space and the staff. Everyone at the venue was so professional and everything went so smoothly. From planning to executing the event, it was all a breeze. I can't recommend this space enough, they're so pro and I'll definitely be coming back.
Lance McFarlin: We recently held our wedding at Lions and Rabbits and it could not have gone better!Hannah and Joey were accommodating, encouraging, and overall amazing to work with in planning our special day. They were communicative and flexible leading up to our wedding...it was truly a stress free process! Being an art gallery, the space is bright and beautiful as a default. Our wedding had no choice but to look great in this space! We love what Lions and Rabbits is doing for the Creston neighborhood and Grand Rapids as a whole. We look forward to seeing what they have in store next...and definitely won't hesitate to work with them again!
Emma Hewitt: As soon as we set foot inside the space for our tour, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. The art, the adorable bar area, the greenery from the on-site florist, the warm glow of string lights, and the vintage seating sucked us in. Not only was the actual space everything we were looking for, but Lions & Rabbits is an awesome part of the Creston community, providing space for classes and the arts and keeping the neighborhood vibrant. Our wedding day was an absolute blast, and the atmosphere was as cozy and intimate as we had dreamed. It was the perfect size for our 100 guest wedding. We barely had to do any extra decorating because the ambiance is pretty much already there! We can’t be more grateful to have found this perfect little spot.
Ginger W (ChronicChocobo): Such a great place to have small events.
James Adado: Son & new wife got married at this venture. Nice place. Nice size for smaller group. Would highly recommend to family & friends.
Patrick Morris: Staff was very efficient at transforming the place from wedding to dinner to dance reception hall. Food was good and hot. Tables was decorated nicely. Gallery art added to ambeance.
Liz Schmidt: We had a great time hosting our rehearsal dinner at this venue. It was affordable and Hannah (and her staff) were fantastic to work with. Plus the character of the space worked perfectly with our tropical themed party. Thanks again for helping us to host such a great event!
Elizabeth Mansfield: Beautiful!
Rebecca Smith: Went to a book signing in august. This space has sooo much personality. The art was wonderful to look at and enjoyed browsing the eclectic items forsale
Coryne De Haan: Had a great time at Lions and Rabbits while at a soap making class with Dream Goats! The building is amazing and the art and murals are beautiful! I'll definitely be back soon!
Miren Lazzarini: Beautiful venue. My family had an amazing event there last Friday surrounded by art from local artists. They do everything from weddings to celebrations of life, food, drinks and dance. Nice sound system, wonderful atmosphere and fabulous all inclusive event planning by an amazing woman named Hannah who will take care of your every need. Thanks for the memorable celebration of life 3
Dawn Tallent: Great studio space. Great class with Caitlin from Ghost Forest! I love the pieces I created and get to take home.
S J: A cool hidden venue in GR.
Eric Swartout: Seems like a really cool space and a good addition to the neighborhood. Haven't attended an event here, but I've been able to pop in a couple of times. I like their coffee pop-up shop and the space itself is well decorated.
Gregory Hatt: Great Place, Great People, Great Art!!!!
Robin Carlen: Had an awesome time learning a new painting technique.
Char Chandler: Cute, artsy, ecclectic venue for events. I loved the local art decor and big beautiful ferns and lights hanging from the ceiling. Very whimsical feel. It was a nice cozy feel for the CD release party we went to. I really enjoyed the event. Parking was a little difficult, it'd be nice to have direction on where to park. All and all the venue was nice.
simon k: Quirky, fun, supports local artists. Great venue
Heather Giebel (Heather G.): Absolutely awesome gallery. Wonderful hosts for Dr. Sketchy's anti-art school sessions. Lots of great mixed media art available and also they are great participants in the Creston area events which means a lot as a local neighbor.
Kathren Ayers (Kat): Loved it! Took a class on screen printing really enjoyed it. Can't wait until I can take another class.

UICA: what do users think?
QL QL: Small place, not much to see, just one exhibit. Free.
Heather Reames: Exhibits were very interesting. Gift shop and theater, what seemed to be for more non-traditional films, were also available.
Meadmaker David Baldwin: Only one exhibit on the lower two levels right now, but a very nice tribute for Black History month.
eVanDiesel: I experienced Eldritch horrors
Art of Flight: Loved it here. Amazing, contemporary facility with an architectural design that feels like an upscale big-city gallery. Friendly, awesome staff and lots to do and see at every turn
Anne Spencer: Wonderful theater and staff. Easy parking. Would go to another movie there!
Richard Rowell: The UICA was once an awesome little indi gallery with a cool million in the bank and a great local. Then the board decided they needed a bigger building. They borrowed $17 million to build it, and went bankrupt in the process. They were bailed out by Kendall, who promptly forced all the founders out. They should rename this the Kendal Institute for Contemporary Arts.
Andrew Swanson: Always a friendly staff, great exhibitions, and a good time.
Matt Siel: Absolutely fabulous art gallery! The Loft by Herman Miller on the 5th is a telecommuters dream and and be sure to check out the 200 seat movie theater down below!
Ryan Gravelle: Great venue, nice gift shop, theater is great!
Demon 3406pk: Not my thing
Lori Bekkering: Interesting
Greg Smolka: I personally enjoyed the UICA but a few of the people I went with did not like it as much as I did. The staff were friendly and the facility was organized. The criticism from my friends could be summed up as “boring” and that the space could be used a bit more wisely. This is the only reason for my 4 stars. However, when it comes to art there are always going to be opposing opinions. I would recommend the UICA to those who enjoy interesting art pieces.
Michael Dick: UICA is a great place to go to whenever. There is a movie theater inside that shows all sorts of indie movies and have snack and drinks right outside of it. I went here for a skateboarding video years ago and it was amazing! Also the art displayed here is just great. The only thing I have against a 5 star is that their is always confusion of where to enter the building at.
Brianne Bassett: Went to see a movie. Great experience!
Kate Dearborn: Great place for films, interesting art work. Easy to park. Affordable films. Good choice of films.
Ginni p: Such an awesome museum!
kj johnson: Thought provoking artist
Adriane Devries: This thriving art hub, which hosts curated shows, events and films, is a wonderful getaway in the midst of the bustling city. Only $5 to enter, you are then free to roam (usually, depending on what's showing) the five floors of thought-provoking and spirit-expanding exhibits. The space itself is a work of art, and especially intriguing to me is the rooftop garden/courtyard where many folks gather for business meetings, corporate events or just a snack with a friend, with fantastic views of the city. UICA is open noon to nine daily except only until six on Sunday, and closed on Monday. Enjoy your escape!
Fred Schoeps: Fascinating exhibit about being not mainstream in America, being a refugee...
brandon krahenbill: Took my wife to see a documentary here. Great people & atmosphere.

Shannon was very friendly and did a great job of explaining everything to us and making our crew feel comfortable and welcome. It was great to also have the option to bring food and beverages and with The Mitten just across the street it was super convenient. We'll be making this a regular staff outing for our team.

Joe Serba: My family has had two showers here in the past few months and both were just fabulous. We did painting at one and string art at the other. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is to work with. They maintained a safe fun environment and were very accommodating. Highly recommend.
Amanda Bernes: It was a great opportunity to choose from a variety of art projects and mediums! We were free to have fun with art supplies and ideas provided to us with some guidance from the instructor.
