Commonwealth Senior Living at East Paris: what do users think?
Mark Lawrence: The facility is very nice and the lunch served to my friend looked good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My complaint is that atmosphere when I was there seemed really boring for the people living there. What kinds of activities are there for the residents and how often do they occur? A variety of activities throughout the day would be very helpful. Maybe you do that and I just didn't see it because I was there at lunch time.
Zac: I don't live here but go past it everyday and this place is covered and littered with trash all around the tree line for months.... an makes the rest of the area look trashy because of it
Jill E Stilson: Staff is very friendly and helpful. My room is large and comfortable. With room to add something of my own to make it more homey.
Natalie Bustillos: Addington of East Paris is affordable with great activities. Staff and facility are great! Renovations really have made a difference! Facility is clean and food is tasty. If your looking for a place, no need to look any further!
Ericka Zoerhof: Beautiful community, I cant wait to see what the finished product looks like after renovations.
Chelsea Lindsey: The renovations at this property are going to be so nice, matching the experience! Give them a call if you are looking for senior living!
Blurae Gray: Wonderful place
Sheneia Bunts: I live this place. Feels just like home. I wouldn't ask for a better job.
kevin hagler: The management staff here are truly caring individuals. They work hard every day to assure that residents are cared for. The people at Addington Place truly care for the senior community.
Rob Duck: Great place for seniors in need of care, staff here trained and very helpful for our loved ones.
Michelle Herron: They have been there for my clients who need assisted living because they are not safe to be home alone. The staff at Addington Place are always there to respond quickly in emergent situations. It is wonderful that they contract with waiver and are willing to help so many people in tough situations. Kat has always been very resposive and willing to think outside of the box when I have a difficult circumstance.
Hannah Richter: The staff at Addington at East Paris are so caring. They put the residents first. Anyone would be lucky to live there.
Elise M: The care staff are very lazy. Never do any laundry. Lose laundry or don’t return the residents laundry. Management is absolutely terrible to communicate with. I do not recommend Addington place at East Paris for a loved one.
maren channer: Have dear friend who is a resident. Her care has been mostly average but also on occasion horrifically mean and inept.
Patty Steffes: Two years and 6 bed bug infestations! They blame us and say that nobody else there has them, but according to the state there have been multiple complaints. They are now threatening eviction from a problem that started there!
Susi Bart: we were strongly verbally asurred by the current executive director (then the marketing directing at the time
Mark Pierson: This place is a train wreck, at least in the memory care facility. I know it is difficult to find a good memory care facility for a family member and I sympathize with those who are looking. I pray you find a good location for your loved one and that is why I am leaving this review. Staff is in turnstile mode, hard to keep consistency in care when there isn't consistency in staff. The biggest issue is with management, my father spent two extra days in the hospital as a social worker tried to get them to respond to see if he could return. When we spoke with the manager and indicated he was moving as they could not provide him the care required, the manager indicated to us she hadn't made that evaluation and was the only one who could do it. We also haven't gotten returned phone calls on items that went missing from his room when he went into the hospital. We also pulled up one day to the facility (this was spring of this year) and a resident who was supposed to be inside, was outside of the secure area. There is much more to the story and there were some very caring providers during my dads stay, but our overall experience wasn't positive.
Mo Vance: Terrible place and it seems as if they are not open to people of color.
Risa Z: My mother was here for almost 3 weeks but I removed her promptly. Most of the aides had terrible attitudes, were mean, and they lost all her laundry even though they were labeled with her name. They seem not to care at all about the patients. There were 4 very kind aides, but the rest were not fit to work in a place with aging people.
Lacey Dahl: Wonderful management and staff! Working with Audra, Kat, and Alex has made providing great care to their residents easy!
Ben Prins: I have been partnering Whispering Woods in a professional capacity for over 10 years. The staff at this facility has been kind and great to work with. Their care and compassion truly makes a difference in the lives of the residents they provide care for. I would encourage you to check this place out. They have many different living options.

Heron Manor Assisted Living: what do users think?
Lori Frechette: If I could give negative 7 stars I would. My dad lived here and passed away September 30th and they are DEMANDING October's rent because shocker shocker, people can't usually give 30 day notice to their death. Anyway, now they're sending attorney's for his estate. Truley the most inconsiderate money hungry place I've encountered in a long time
Thomas Edward: Do NOT bring your family to this place ‼️ They switch companies back to back . They do NOT keep communication open for residents , employees NOBODY . No communication whatsoever. Food service is poor , sanitation is poor . I would never send my family member to this place ! Ever ! Please save yourselfs
Kathy Giang: Lovely residents
Aleeha Steeby: Beautiful facility, hard working staff lots of caring people.
Kevin Koelzer: The best assisted living apartments in Grand Rapids.
Judy Cisler: Heron Manor is wonderful assisted living facility. They offer weekly concerts, activities and other outings as well as offer wonderful staff support.
John Maison: My mom lived at Heron Manor for over three years, she paid a 600.00 deposit wich they were trying to keep due to carpet being wore. She moved out over a month ago and I disputed her deposit so they decided to give her some of it back. when my mom lived there many nights they only had one nurse on the floor taking care of three floors of people, I know the state would not like to hear that, back in the day I did inhome care for 6 years so I know how the state works..I wouldn't send my mom back there again, and then when I sent a email out to the lady incharge she send me a email with attitude because I asked about my moms money..Pretty sad if you ask me

Sunrise of Cascade: what do users think?
Katharine Rambus: Moved someone into Sunrise in last month. Staff from Director tocare givers to maintenance have been outstanding. She is very very happy there. She loves her room, people and food. Thanks Sunrise!!
KLS: Very glad we chose Sunrise of Cascade when the time came to make this level of decision. As a family of conscientious and loving nurses, teachers and business minded professionals...my mother knew she was in very good hands with us, alone. Sunrise has been completely reassuring of this expectation for our mom, as well as for us.
Debra Alfonso: Sunrise of Cascade is a hidden gem in the Grand Rapids area. It’s homey upscale quality made it easy for my parents to transition to living there. They have a variety of living options to choose from with more space than most facilities. Thoughtful amenities and an active calendar help residents live graciously while respecting any limitations.
Chris Graham: As a registered nurse who has worked in home health in many area assisted living facilities - I have to say that Sunrise was my favorite. The executive director is very knowledgeable and involved in the care of her residents. It’s rare to see consistency in the executive director role - but Deb has overseen and provided quality care for her residents for many years. If you’re looking for a facility that will treat your family like their own - visit Sunrise of Cascade.
Lacey Dahl: Working in the healthcare industry, I visit many different facilities and there are few that are as great as Sunrise. Deb is one of the most dedicated executive directors in this industry. She is a resident advocate, always making sure their care is second to none. I have never seen Deb hesitate to work the floor and lead her team by example. My staff enjoy visiting the residents and caregivers at Sunrise, in fact some even request to go to this building. I wouldn’t think twice when placing a loved one at Sunrise!
Anthony Neuman: Sunrise of Cascade offered zero care to my grandfather. He arrived on Thursday and was left in the same clothing until we had him moved on a Saturday. Same clothing for over three days, didn’t eat and no water.  Deb is inept an ineffective as a director of Sunshine. Deb also stated she thought he was on meds which was not true and by checking a chart that would have cleared that up right away. He was fully mobile upon arrival and they left him to rot in that room. Not even a pillow was Brought into his room. In the 5 day period his condition without food or water rapidly deteriorated to immobilized. She was only present to try to detour and make distractions as the obvious lack of care was called out by several family members during separate visits. Distrustful, disturbing and decet are the top skills on Deb's list of accolades. The care takers are nothing more than a glorified low budget wait staff. There is a clear gross negligence in how they handle the care of their residents.
Jane Owen: When I had to find a place to have my Mom move into I wanted a place that treated her like she was their Mom. The Management and staff are all wonderful and they all are very professional. Sunrise of Cascade is an awesome place for your loved one!
Cara Crandell: My dad moved in to Sunrise a couple of weeks ago, and so far so good. He is fairly young for the demographic. His room is nice and homey, since we were able to decorate it as we wanted. Maintenance and management were very helpful with the move. You need to be let into the building and check in to visit, which I find comforting knowing he is safe. He is enjoying the meals, and is doing things I thought he would never do- like participating in exercise. Overall, things are going well.At times, staff does seem exceedingly busy for extended periods of time. I am uncertain how that may effect some residents, but my dad has personally been unaffected by it thus far.
Molly Buxton: Staff at Sunrise of Cascade are thorough, compassionate, truthful and diligent in their efforts to meet the needs of my parents. They have met my high expectations thus far. I feel grateful to have found an assisted living facility where my parents can thrive.
Jane Olney: Beautiful place, the best and the brightest staff. I'm going there if they still have the same staff.
Seth Davidson: I have been in this facility many times visiting family and friends. I have observed residents wait very long periods of time for a staff to assist them with the restroom or other care needs. After residents have pulled their cords for help in their rooms they sometimes have to wait 45+ minutes for a staff member to respond. I have seen family members search the building for staff and have found no one to assist their family member. Many of the staff members out outside together on "smoke breaks" socially with each other while the needs of residents go unmet. This is completely unacceptable, especially with the extremely high rates Sunrise of Cascade charges residents for care. Deb Rost, I would STRONGLY encourage you to rectify this situation unless you want a visit/investigation from the state licensing agency and the local long-term care ombudsman. Be aware that the family and friends of residents are watching VERY closely as to what goes on in your facility.

Commonwealth Senior Living at Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Vicky Wille: We visited Commonwealth for potential Memory Care for my mom.Everywhere we visited seemed ver institutional and sterile. This place was comforting and felt more like home.Mom is going to love it here. The daily activities will keep her engaged and allow her to be social. She currently doesn't leave her house much because it's difficult for her to function in social settings with her onset of dementia. Commonwealth will make her feel comfortable. We are looking forward to having mom receive the care she needs.
Michael Riley: Nice place my mom lives here ,older building but in the middle of a huge renovation should be beautiful when it's done Arlene is the best great help to my mom and all the other residents
Mel Meyer: We have had a great experience with Addington Place of GR, my mom gets excellent care, Arlene has bonded well with my mom and takes care of all her daily needs, we are blessed to have found such a wonderful place for her.
Mary Boomer: I definitely recommend this place! The rooms are a great size and the facilities are well kept. They have lots of activities and the food is really good. Arlene takes such good care of everyone!
Vanessa Castaneda: Staff are very friendly we all enjoy activities & the view great and enjoy seeing the wild in the pond. Very clean building.
Natalie Bustillos: This team takes great care of the residents and staff. Accommodating and family oriented. Activities are fun and exciting. Food is great. If your looking for a place for your loved one this is the place to be!
Chelsea Slawson: Family like atmosphere and caring staff. Always willing to try to help!
Celeste Lewis: I recommend you give this community a call if you are looking for somewhere that truly cares about their residents! From calling to get information through the move in process, this team really understands it is all about the resident and helping their families feel comfortable.
Latasha Walker: Every time I walk into the building the staff are so nice and the residents are happy. You can see that everyone who live and work there love it. It makes me smile to see that my loved one is cared for. Best decision I’ve made ever.
Dusty Scheuerman: I have visited many of times for different functions. I have always found it to be a very clean environment with excellent food and very friendly and helpful staff. You can see how much the employees love their residents. I would highly recommend!
Jeremy Hoff: I have the pleasure of working with several different facilities and meet and see staff members everyday. You can always see the facilities where the staff treats the residents as family. That is what I have seen when I am at Addington Place. The Administration team is so knowledgeable and helpful. You will be happy to have your loved one at Addington Place.
Laura Lutz: Addington Place of Grand Rapids is a wonderful place to call home. The staff are always kind and friendly.
Carmon Niewiadomski: Staff is okay but you can tell who is there because they care about the elderly and who is there just because it’sa job. My grandmother was there for respite and the staff is not trained to put on braces or anything else. At 1:30 in the afternoon my grandma was still not dressed because no one had been in to help her. After using the restroom some staff were out the door before she got situated in her chair even though she is braced and a fall risk. The food was mostly luke warm. Definitely room for improvement!
Laurel Berger: Addington Place, a wonderful place with amazing people and an answer to so so many prayers! My aunt was there only a short time, but everyone was so welcoming, helpful, kind and willing to do the little things that mean so much. From Mindy, to Brandy, Kevin and so so many more - Thank You!
Abigail White: I visited this community today for a family gathering. It was clean, smelled good, and my grandma was so happy! Others were in the living room cheering on their favorite football team during the playoff game. I would highly recommend.
Megan Chant: I would highly recommend Addington Place of Grand Rapids for any senior looking for a fun and caring community to call home. In addition to the wonderful atmosphere, the restorative program allows all residents to receive group and individualized opportunities for exercise and engagement. It is truly a great place to be!
dovewatcher: Amazing staff giving compassionate care. Food is delicious.
Elizabeth olaguibert zarate: Wonderful place to work I love it
Mo Vance: Staff hear do not treat people of color correctly. I overheard a staff member say something very degrading about a person of color during a call. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!
Jacquelyn Hinds: I would highly recommend Addington Place. My mom has Dementia and I was looking for a place where she is able to do most things on her own, but have help when it is needed. The transition of moving her in went very smoothly with Mindy’s help. She was there for me through the whole process and worked with me on making my mom comfortable and making it affordable for my mom to live independent! The staff are so sweet and genuinely caring. The best part for my mom is they allow pets! She has a cat and this really helps with her anxiety. Thank you Addington Place!
Kristi B: Addington Place Grand Rapids on 68th St. rooms are a nice size. The staff, nurse and Director are all nice and give you the right answers. (many new directors) Staff Doctor does not do what he is suppose to. They do not properly care for the residents. My guy was there for a little over a year and was hospitalized multiple times for dehydration and infections. They did not keep a cup with a lid and straw next to his bed. They gave him a 4 ounce open cup that of course would go down his shirt when he tried to drink. Many times over 2 weeks with no shower. His muscles were lost by time I got him out of there. Instead of taking time to get him out of bed and walk him to the meals, they put him in a wheelchair and that is where he stayed. No activities as promised. Keep your loved ones safe and do not use this place until it is better managed.

Vista Springs Riverside Gardens: what do users think?
Rosemary Blough: Place is always clean. Staff is helpful and friendly. They have so many events to keep my sister busy.
Dave Raymond: Directly from my heart, "the best of the best" truly, we as guests, were given the red carpet. The question of "theres room for improvement" never came up. A first class operation, starting with the numerous amount of staff, the gorgeous facility, and the many activities made available to the residents. Sincerity was indeed noticed. Don't change a thing. Setting the standards may be the best of what we can say about Vista Springs. Dave & Joyce Raymond
Amy Linder-Jahazi: Vista Springs is amazing! They take good care of my Mom and have wonderful activities.
Larry Dondzila: I have been in plenty of facilities due to 4 parents in homes. This one was SO clean smelled inviting.
Steph Haggerty: Placed my Aunt here and she loves it. Late one night she lost her contacts down the drain and Brooke took apart the drain and found them both. They pay attention to detail!
Ellen Burchfield: Very nice clean facility. People were friendly and helpful 😍
Ann H: I do not recommend this place if your loved one needs extra care. Never any staff around for help other than the front receptionist. Our mom's room smelled and noone even checked on her to see that she ate something or helped with bathroom needs. The facility itself is very nice but the care is poor.
Mari Mojica: This is a horrible place to put your family members. I used to work for them and so i know how they treat residents. They hire people who don’t know what they are doing. There are ALWAYS bruises on the residents that can not talk. They leave their call lights on for almost an hour at a time! The administration is a JOKE and she does not know how to treat her employees. If you love your family members i would definitely not recommend this horrible rat infested place. Their pricing is rediculous as well , For the care that these residents get it should not be so much to live there! This place also has roaches and mice in the kitchen as well. Go see for yourself they have bug traps in some of the rooms. Also half the time they forget to feed certain residents meals.
Jim Beckett: Great facility and caring staff. My mother was there for a short time for respite care with hospice. The rooms have a nice set up and are very clean. Everyone we met had a great attitude and was very caring. The staff was awesome starting with the director who sets the tone got everything in place, the wellness director who spent a lot of time with mom and was very attentive, the program director was great for the short time we were there but we loved their happy hour with the residents. Mom got great care from the aides and received her medications on time. The kitchen staff who brought meals and housekeeping did a great job. We made the right choice by choosing Vista Springs Riverside Gardens for Mom's final days and cannot thank them enough.Thank you.
Sarah Mullins: Very nice building and friendly staff but they are short staffed. My Aunt is bed bound and didn't get dinner one night or breakfast the next day☹
Angela Harris: Terrible place to work would never recommend nobody to live or work there. Staff doesn't help other staff. I use to work there rumors of med tech taking resident pills, always short staff I wouldn't put my own parents there terrible place.managment brushes everything under the rug, lazy workersif you work there you have to pick up the slack of others.
Rick and Brenda Becker: This place looks very nice. But did not have enough support for our family member.
Sara Cole: My mother n law is in this place and we love it! The care she gets is so much better than so many other places she has been. Her room feels like a room helps her feel like she is at home. We are so please with this place to the staff to how hard they have also worked to keep residents safe from covid 19. Thank you Vista Springs from the Cole and Stewart family
Nancy Rosen: If you need any kind of assistance, please don't go there. Care is awful! My dad's room always smelled, he smelled, and the food was mediocre! First reaction, you will be impressed as we were! Carol and Karen, the receptionists, were wonderful, very caring women! The rest of management had excuses and felt my dad didn't belong there. They felt he belonged in memory care. After being evaluated, he did not and does fine in assisted living. Unfortunately, the director that was there when my dad first moved in is no longer there, she was amazing and most caring. The caregivers loved her, too! My dad is now in an assisted living facility that cares and takes wonderful care of him. He is most happy!
Shining Star: This entire company is a joke. They care only about one thing...MONEY. The new management at the Riverside location doesn’t care about the community members-I doubt she even knows their names and she’s been there for months. Don’t place your family members here....or your worst enemy.
RedBerryFarm: Love this place. Our experience has exceeded all expectations. From food quality and variety to maintenance helpfulness with a smiling face - to wonderful activities that are creative and something for everyone - to the great aids , med staff, and nurse (even a few choices for a doctor to come to you... including bloodwork) - to the greeters who seem to know every answer to whatever question we have - to laundry and housekeeping that are super efficient and always with a big smile asking how you are - to a preschool on site for multigenerational interaction (complete with background checks) - Vista Riverside is amazing.Resort-like amenities. Assisted care IS assisted. (AKA freedom of choice to not shower or stay in bed watching TV... they are not your loved ones babysitters. They give dignity with assisting. You summon them - as well as they getting to know the loved one and checking on them more frequently if needed.) Staff is always stopping by seeing how loved one is doing in their room... having a chat... inviting them to an activity that may be interesting. Yes - some staff find other opportunities that work better for them. Yet the transition is smooth and the incoming staff is very well trained. (Former nurse with long term care experience here.)IF finances would ever be a concern (down the line) - know that Riverside does not participate with the Medicare WAIVER program - but their 'sister' Vista sites around town (just as resort -like) DO - with certain requirements for length of stay and such first. If you call around, a lot of places sound cheaper, but add in all sorts of add ons with levels of care on top of that. This is ALL inclusive.IF loved one declines and needs more than assisted care - the Vista family of facilities will work with you to ensure loved one has a safe place to go to (one of their other facilities.) Things can change quickly - but you have to alert them... as certain things need to be in place. It can be stressful at times taking care of the needs of loved ones. From our experience, Vista Springs - and Riverside - is a place that we would recommend hands-down. No if's and's or but's.Everyone has a different story and experience. It gets confusing as to who to believe with online reviews - but check out this facility as well as the other Vista communities for yourself. Hoping it will be 'full of life' for you, as it has been for us. Wishing you and your loved ones the best.
The Life Of Jay & Des: Very terrible company, all management staff is very money hungry doesn’t really care for residents at all. Doesn’t listen to resident concerns, feed residents from very nasty kitchen doesn’t make staff wear gloves or hair nets, let a lot of residents fall don’t take them to hospital right away when something is really wrong. Owner of f company just money hungry and very racist company would not recommend to work here or put family in here!!! Trust me!!!
Austin Rule: They fire employees who are actually dedicated and care about the residents. Also, management is childish. They turn a blind eye to employees who slack off and perform their duties poorly. I do not recommend this place. Take your family members somewhere else.
D Nixon: Nice looking place to live. Management is bad though could improve a lot more with communication.
Iggy P06: Clean nicely maintained place.
Ben Snider: Clean and friendly air smells clean

Green Acres Standale: what do users think?
Tom Rudnik: This is a new facility, beautiful ! It’s not skilled nursing, but what they do they do very well. The staff is hired because they like working with the elderly. That has worked out so well for my mom. They care in the shows and that gets the people here involved. The recreation staff is excellent! Most places have a hard time getting people involved, but this place doesn’t. It all depends on what you need. My mother needed the loving care. The food here no my mom doesn’t like it much, you’re so much better then where she was before. The management here is wonderful as well.
