VIVI Fox: My fiancé and I enjoyed our time together at the cozy cottage with the great lake view!! It is spacious and clean. And it is close to so many things… We played disc golf at Cascade park, had dinner and drinks at the Roadhouse and explored the World of Winter Festival lights downtown. Everyone was so nice and accommodating, as well!We will definitely stay again!!!

Staff had house clean he got a lot of snow they shoveled the drive multiple times also they came and assisted with the cable and hen I couldn’t get football on … a great spot good staff !!!

Joshua Boers: This was a great place to stay! We had a large group for a golfing trip and the campus lake 4 story accommodated to everyone. Frank and his team were all very nice and helpful through out the stay. We also planned a party bus through dadds magic bus and it was a great time. Frank helped us set up the whole thing. He got us a great bus and an awesome drive!! Would for sure come back.

Extra bonusSpa/swim spa always at 104° so many jetts it was amazing! Was able to fish off dock and 3 and 7 year old could play in sand bottom. Can't say enough good about the entire vacation!!!

Jessica Merriman: Frank Roberts and his multiple rentals are all a scam. He cancelled our reservations (that were confirmed over 6 months ago) with less than 24 hours notice.He acted as though he was doing us a favor (we had 34 people traveling to Michigan from Pa, Florida, New York, Wisconsin, and Maryland) by getting us a reservation for another “comparable” property in a different area in Michigan. We were desperate so we took it. Only to show up and be told by a very aggressive and shady looking cleaning crew that we did not have a reservation. They threatened us and physically assaulted my father in law. The police had to be called. The neighbor of the property explained that this happens frequently as this property. The pictures are of the “stairs” that lead down a steep cliff to the beach. Not exactly the luxury he advertises. The deck off of the bedroom was completely dry rotted and looked as though it would collapse. There were only 16 beds (singles and bunks) to accommodate 34 adults. The cleaning crew informed us that 8 of those were broken. They had bunk beds set up in the garage that appeared to have no electricity and was damp and infested with spiders, bees, and God only knows what else.

Petey Chapa: My favorite part of the trip was it being so secluded yet also so close to town. We were in a quiet nice neighborhood with friendly people and right on the water! There was plenty for the kids to do and they even found some secret things to do hidden in the house. We were able to walk around the peninsula and look at all the water and little fish. It was also amazing to watch the stars at night and sit in the hot tub!

It was a short drive from Chicago and was an ideal meeting spot for my friends in Michigan as well. We did not want to leave the house because it had so many spacious rooms, 3 kitchens, 2 hot tubs, and even a disco/ tiki bar/ game room for our after dinner party! It even included a scavenger hunt to discover different parts of the house, which was super fun! Frank was super responsive in all of our email communications and was such a great host! I can't wait to explore the other properties he has to offer! I highly recommend this house for large groups!

Anna: My family of 16 adults (2 of which were pregnant) and 9 children were excited to enjoy a relaxing lake house vacation. Our check in time was 4 PM. It was 5 PM and we have yet to receive the access code for the front door. We contact the homeowner multiple times, but he was unresponsive. Upon arrival, the front door was locked. We walked around the house to find that the basement door was open. We let ourselves in. As we walked around the premises, it was clear that the home has not been cleaned. None of the beds were made, there were towels on the bathroom floors, and the garbage cans were full. Outside of the basic cleaning that you expect from a VRBO home, the interior and exterior looked like it hasn’t been deep cleaned in months. My mother-in-law ended up spending most of her vacation cleaning the common areas and doing laundry.We tried to look past the cleanliness of the home, but quickly noticed that the house is not safe for children. The deck railings are shaky and the deck stairs are crooked. The gate at the top of the stairs leading down to the water was broken. The stairs from the main level deck going upstairs were blocked off and that part of the deck did not look up to code. The house had 3 docks on the lake and all of them were shaky, uneven, and in multiple pieces. One dock had loose boards that if stepped on incorrectly could cause major injury. We often found ourselves having to jump from one dock to the other or climbing up/down to get from one end to another. Most of the kayak paddles were broken and each broken edge was jagged and sharp. The sand in the water right by the shore was similar to that of quick sand and you would start to sink if you went in more than 3 feet deep. There are old fishing poles sitting out with hooks hanging loose that the kids were trying to grab. Both in the main kitchen and in a box sitting under the main floor deck stairs had easily accessible knives. There was wire sticking out of the back of the couch on the main floor that the kids would run into. The spot where the carpet meets the hardwood in the main living area had nails sticking out.Apart from the dirty and unsafe home, we were met with other miscellaneous frustrations. The house had 2 hot tubs. One hot tub was broken and the other one was fixed halfway through our vacation. The listing of the house features pictures of a beautiful pool and if you do not read through the ad several times you might be tricked into thinking that pool was a part of the property. The water on the side of the house was off and there was no hose to use to rinse off after playing in the sand. One of the row boats had a hole in it and was unable to be used. As the kayak paddles were broken we had to kayak with a singular broken paddle. An employee was at the house almost every day without notice using the washing machine in the garage. He would randomly appear in or around the house oblivious to all of the problems discussed in this review.Near the end of the week, the homeowner had the nerve to ask for more money towards a cleaning fee.That was the final straw.We do not recommend this VRBO home to anybody. The state of the home matches bad reviews from several years ago. It is unfortunate that people are spending their hard earned money on a place like this filled with false promises and poor management.

Kent Myers: We rented this place to house our larger family group with kids. It turned out to be perfect for us. With super large table, the many different sleeping options and rooms made our stay one for the books. Plenty of stuff to do with all the games, kayaks, fishing poles, and volleyball, and spas. We were never bored. Feels like your away from it all but close enough to town if you forgot something. Owner attended to our needs and maintenance technician Mark was awesome. Thanks again!

Stachia Kachina Green: I booked this stunning property for a Covid Friendly Girls Trip with my best friend and daughters who are quarantined together. We were there in October, 2020. Let’s start with the house. It’s a beautiful, open concept with 3 floors. There is a heated pool/hot tub that’s so relaxing, right on the private beach. We loved looking at the stars. There’s so much to do on the property! We took long walks, waded in the water, played cards and games, watched movies on the many TVs. There was not one thing missing! Billiards and a game room are in the basement great for a party but we enjoyed it with just the 4 of us. There’s a fun surprise, especially for kids which I won’t ruin. But parents, the kids will be busy for an hour or two!We are all at home cooks and bakers, so having such a well appointed kitchen was a dream. There are quite a few coffee makers which would be amazing for larger parties. I plan to book again with my whole family. The house has a felling of care and love which is so evident when talking to Tami, the caretaker. She is just lovely and very helpful!I recommend this stay for any purpose. It’s very clean and well cared for. This trip is a memory We will have for a lifetime. I wish the same for yours. If you’re considering booking...do it. You’ll be grateful you did and only 30 minutes away from Grand Rapids!
