Allendale / West Grand Rapids KOA Holiday: what do users think?
Kelly H: We have camped there and visited friends who were camping there. Near the front the sites are deep and narrow with trees. Camp staff are awesome and friendly. They have a playground, and air trampoline and kids events. It's about 10-15 minutes from GVSU. We were there for parents weekend so it was nice and much more cost effective than getting a hotel
Anna Brightman: Giving a 3 because it needs some updates like some new picnic tables. Large sites are a plus but with all the swampy water around this RV park, it was impossible to sit out by the fire three of the four nights because of the aggressive large amounts of mosquitoes. Either spray the place or drain some of the swamp water.
Jim Frost: Walkability: This is the spot that we go to for our inaugural shakedown run with our camper. We're fairly local and if we need anything it's simply a 1/2 hour drive to an RV store. Perfect location and the staff is exceptionally helpful.Hotel highlights Quiet, Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Ken Greer: Very friendly staff.Nice clean park and buildings.Nice long lots and quiet park.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Margene Andree: It is A KOA campground
Bob Kepner: Great campground, lots of nice people.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Rob Clark: Owner was super helpful ..park was very clean will be back this summerService: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Stephanie Venner: Nice place, very friendly staff, love all the trees and beautiful fall colors, clean bathroom/showers. 11 yr old son found lots to do was not bored.
Robert Rabiola: Awesome campground. Love the trees. Lots to do for the kids.
Laura Kruger: We stayed here for a night of tent camping and it was wonderful. Great sites with space for tents and vehicles while still being in the woods. Staff was friendly and we will be back!Restrooms: Very clean!
Kevin Tuttle: Can't even take a shower at this place. Attempted all five days we were there. There was a reasonable line for the shower only one of those days. When you do make it through the line to get a shower, it is definitely a no frills shower. The shower head is at least forty years old, and the mat to save you feet from the nasty floors is incredibly uncomfortable. It doesn't seem like any of the activities have been used or maintained for years. Certainly not worth the KOA Holiday label, or price.
Dareon Woodard: Great place. The site had everything that we needed for our little camper. Clean space and awesome check-in Staff (Tammie). Thanks for all of your help
Keri Hileski: Our new favorite park
Paula Shivers: The pool was really cold. And almost shady all day. It’s kind of pricey. Not too friendly neither. I won’t be going back.
Cori Gould: The Allendale KOA is great & the owner Rob is AMAZING! He went way out of his way to completely accomodate us this weekend! Great clean, family friendly campground with staff that goes above & beyond. Thanks again Rob!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Sara Scharf: We stayed here to visit the John Ball zoo in Grand Rapids, as well as the Grand Haven State Park. This location was perfect because it's pretty much right in between where we needed to be. We loved this campground! We stayed in a tent and our site was very spacious. The price was awesome for what you get. Hot showers, a jump pad, there's goats to feed and pet, a hay ride, basketball court, a fenced pool and playscape area and more! It did rain most of our stay which is nobody's fault, but it did make it not as enjoyable for us with 2 young children. All the staff members we came in contact with were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely come back.
Linda Bryan: We brought our grandchildren last week and they had a blast. They have so much to offer for kids. And our 4, 6year-old and 3 year old twins definitely wanna come back.
Sarah Brigman: We come once a year and they always remember us and are super accommodating! Lots of fun things for kids to do.

Woodchip Campground: what do users think?
Daniel Crawford: Although this campground is literally minutes from my house, it’s our favorite place to camp. It’s beautiful, clean, family friendly, pool is gorgeous, there’s ALWAYS events for the kids, staff is friendly, bathrooms are clean… seriously. This place is the best
Kraig B: Nice local spot. Cool little campground.
David McKinney: We spent 7 days and 6 nights at Woodchip last week. It was so nice to be in their friendly, familiar surroundings! We like staying close to the dog park which keeps us close to the pool as well. We had back to back sites with family. Pool filled up while we were there! We have another long reservation there this year. Thanks Clayton & Michelle!
heather wierenga: As a family we go to this campground often! We love that it’s close to everything but still has a campground feel. The staff will go out of their way to help you have a fantastic experience and are so nice. This campground is perfect for families and have awesome activities on the weekends:)Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Kid-friendly, Great value …More
Sarah Joy: We LOVE woodchip!Stayed there last summer and fall. Our kids will tell you that this is their favorite campground. And we went to a lot this summer. We Love all the planned activities. The staff is super welcoming and friendly. Can’t wait to camp here more. We tell everyone how much we enjoy woodchip.
Katie Christie: We really enjoyed staying here! We were at a campground that backed up to the playground so my son could play while we watched from the comfort of our site. They had tons of extra events on the weekend that were free of charge as well!Nearby activities: A few minutes off of 131 and just south of Grand Rapids there’s something for everyone just a short drive awayWalkability: Walking around the campground was great! The road is smooth and well marked with stop signs and slow traffic signs
Bart Smith: Nice and clean small campground. I would stay there againLocation: 4/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Michael Janiga: Great location. Very friendly ran campground. The owner went out of his way to make our stay a success.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Joe Rak: Great time winter campingWill definitely be backService: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jesse Silva: Great location and easy setup at site.Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Keith DeHaan: Amazing place for kids. Staff is great, owners are very friendly. Heated pool, clean restrooms. They have amazing activities, inflatable bounce houses and slides, foam parties, and more! Only down side is the camp sites are small, sewage for the neighbors is typically next to your awning. If sites were bigger/better laid out, would give 5 stars.
Christian Schmitzer: Easy online reservations. Clean, spacious sites. Heated water spigots at campsites for winter camping. Plenty of parking and the owner is very accommodating. I will definitely be back in the future!
Jvmelsmith: Great campground and so much for the kids to do!! The grounds were well maintained and such friendly staff!! We will be back again!! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
Andrea Boyd: We had a great family experience!
Julia Gross: WOW! What a great weekend we had, brought our kids and Grandkids and made amazing memories this past weekend. So many things to do for the kids, very clean and friendly staff. We will definitely be coming back, we loved everything about this campground, the only negative thing was that we did not find this place sooner. We are already planning our next camp experience. A9
1 2: Only been there a few days but it's a very nice park friendly employees everything about it is nice that I've seen so far I recommend it and it stays open through the winter

Steamboat Park Campground: what do users think?
Estevan Ybarra: The place is great.
William E. (Bill): This campground was clean and had very friendly staff. Sitting in front of the fire pit under a full moon brought joy to my heart. We will be coming back all summer.
Casey Cannady: --- 2023/04/30 ---Just arrived yesterday and it's been mostly cloudy and raining... so we haven't explored much yet. Our site is decent size, but would like a wider pad (pretty common issue for us). Staff had been friendly and accommodating. Will update after we've been here a couple weeks.
Sandy Dorda: We loved this place! Making reservations was seamless! We were right on the river and we loved having full hook-up. Camper nearby were so nice. It was 80 degrees when we arrived on a Saturday and below 40 and light snow and rain the rest of our stay. It was our first time with our new Grand Design RV so we got to make sure everything worked in our camper! So many things to do in the area. Will definitely be back.
Holly Raglin: Nice place to stay. Really close to the river so you just need to be careful when it rains, but the people who own it watch the weather carefully and make the decision to help people get out safely.
Timothy Kays: Great campsite along a peaceful river. Super helpful staff in a new campground. We visit often because it is a great location. Only negative, they do need to add a playground. The pool is great! Edited Jan 2023. They have added a playground a few years ago and it’s great.
Steve Ivey: So happy I found this place! Couple night stay right on the water felt like I was far away from reality but it was just a quick drive into Grand Rapids. Slabs look new and the campsite where clean and well maintained. Definitely recommend and will stay again when in the area.
Christian holliday: I thought about coming to tent camp this winner but wow your rates are ridiculous! That's almost what I pay in rent for a month! Money money money money money!
Vivien Pierson: Wonderful campground!! Well cared for, quiet, clean and so close to downtown Grand Rapids. We went to the Gerald R Ford Presidential Museum in 15 minutes. There is a Meijers close by for things you might have forgotten. For being so close to everything it is VERY quiet and peaceful. The bathhouse is modern, clean and has 2 washers and dryers. There are posted instructions for turning on the shower (2 heads) which I appreciated having had a tough time and scalded body parts at other parks. They could use one more directional sign near the "no outlet" sign as this confused us and GPS sent us through a (beautiful) subdivision. We will definitely be back in summer to take advantage of the pool and riverboat. The pool was open but on this October week the 38 degrees were not inviting.Sites are large and roads paved. Most sites are close to level.
Susan Brunson: What a great RV park in the Grand Rapids area! If you are here in the summer months, be sure to get tickets for The Grand Lady paddlewheel boat. We've been here two and a half weeks and have had a great experience. The shower rooms are among the cleanest and best organized that we've seen. The office staff is great. We'll be back every time we're in Grand Rapids.
Debra Houser BSN RN: The sites are nice & varied with full hook up. The office staff is friendly and helps out when needed as well as the groundkeepers. It's on the river.
Marie Oxley: Very courteous admin personnel, paved main road around campground, quiet, close to Grandville and Jenison stores and restaurants.
Adriel Brunson: Clean, quiet park with stunning river views. RV hookups are well done and the bath house is one of the best we've seen.
Dave Meekhof: Great place to camp, and also enjoy a leisurely riverboat cruise with live music and friends. Greg Boynton and his father have done an awesome job building out this amazing campground and The Grand Lady Riverboat. You will think you are in the back bayous of the great Mississippi, but you are literally minutes from downtown Grand rapids. A peaceful idyllic place to "come apart and rest for a while".
Bob CAMPBELL: Great time. The boat ride was awesome. The band was much better than I had expected, to the point that I would love to do it again!!! Clean and neat park and boat..
Bill Cooper: We give Steamboat Park 3.5 stars. The main reason was the construction going on in the park. I give them credit for fixing roads and adding concrete patios. But while we were there the truck noise and road work was a nuisance. On the day we were leaving they were doing major roadwork. Roads were torn down to dirt and mud. The trucks made it almost impossible to get out of the park. The park should have notified us before the day we were leaving. We only barely got our 37 ft motorhome with tow vehicle out of the park.Besides this, the park is great. Nice campground that locals crowd to over the weekends. The concrete pads will be a nice addition. We tracked lots of dirt into our RV. We will come back, but AFTER all construction is done.NOTE: This campground does not refund for ANY reason. We had to eat one night due to a late arrival because of an illness. Also, be VERY careful if you turn right onto 10th street. Our RV and tow hit the curb. It’s very tight.
Ross Vander Klok: Awesome campground with beautiful river sites. Well worth paying the extra few dollars to have the river site. Nothing fancy at all but full hook ups at all sites so you are able to stay for a day or month with no issues. It is nice and quiet as well because tents are not allowed. All in all a wonderful addition to the west Michigan camping scene.
Emily Cooper: Scene is beautiful, people who run it aren’t. If you like glamping this place is for you.
Cathy Daggett: Just spent 5 very enjoyable days at this lovely campground. It is kept up very well, showers and bathrooms are exceptionally clean. It has laundry facilities in the bathhouse and a beautiful pool. We will definitely be back in the future.
Tammy Adcock: We are living there and like everything about it....
Lisa Gavit: This is my favorite place to camp! The campground is well kept! The staff is amazing! The pool is beautiful, nice laundry & bathrooms. Dog friendly, Grand River Steamboat cruise ride on the "Grand Lady"and you can't beat being so close to Grand Rapids.

Campspot: what do users think?
Jeremy Ringler: We are campground owners who have used their service since last year. Numerous times their system shows no spots available when we have many open. When the issues arise, you can never get ahold of a live person to get issue taken care of, put on hold for half hour if not longer, just to then be prompted to leave a voicemail, with no return call back ever, and takes days if not longer to get a email that doesn't fix the situation. I would not recommend this platform to campground owner's. They are quick to get money for services, but not in a hurry to make sure those services Actually work.
Kelly Bug: Love this website
karl krulls: I just recently started with Campspot and it has been a fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone who owns a campground. Everyone has been fantastic!
Terry Conlan: I don’t know about everybody else but every time I try to book through camp spot they want to put my miles from my destination is.
Margo Mitchell: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueI use Campspot to find local Campgrounds that I never knew about before. The site is easy to use and is very pleasing to look at as well. I've had nothing but good experiences thus far and look forward to finding more Campgrounds in the future!
Jessi T: Positive:Professionalism,ResponsivenessWe use Campspot for our RV campground and the tech support team has been very helpful and responsive whenever we need assistance.
Brian Mathiot: Very helpful and informative site with tons of location and amenity info to search thru!!
Doug Smith: Good customer service. Had an issue with a local campground and the lady with CampSpot provided the answer I needed then went above and beyond contacting the location multiple times, providing me feedback, and asking if she could do more.
David Stobaugh: Other apps have way more campgrounds.
Camren de Waard: Best campsite booking place out there.

The Campground Marketplace: what do users think?
Allison Wong: The Campground Marketplace is the BEST option for marketing campgrounds nationwide. They match buyers and sellers of campgrounds to transact the business sale. They have the MOST experience in the industry and have been successfully working in the industry since 1971! Looking to buy or sell a campground, resort, or marina? Give them a call! 10/10 recommended!
cody trail: I just wish they would give the location of the parks
Roxanne Hanly: If you want to buy or sell a campground this is the place
Roy4755 Smith: Just called. This is NOT a campground. They sell campground memberships.
Mark Dorsey: Ole Hal-ey boy gets it... a real Tom cat!
Barbara Giesbrecht: This is NOT a campground! It's a parts and service location in, what looks to be, an industrial area. It took us about an hour out of our way in total. After leaving a message, we received a call back, we had already been there, we told him what happened...i don't know if he got it. He needs to remove his site off of the CAMPGROUND page.

Marleine McKerracher: Baldwin Oakes Campground is my home away from home. I have camped here for at least 18 years as a seasonal and maybe longer, getting old and can't remember,DAN is the best owner, he will help you with anything. He enjoys all the kids. Saturday at the campground is all kinds of free things to do. This place is so friendly. Thanks Dan and family for everthing you have done to bring this campground back to a wonderful place!!
Lucy Masters: We stayed there very close to our kids. People very nice clean sites a lot of dirt forgot our rug too. The first 3 nights were very cold no heat in shower/bathroom area. Sewer smell awful 3 nights no hot water at all to shower awful went back 1/2 washed to finish in our small shower but hot water there.I gave it a 3 for everything but location was great 5 great!
Laura Bock: I made a reservation for a two month stay, I'm a travel nurse. I paid the $100 deposit. I had to cancel the reservation because the position was filled. It was less then 24 hours of making the reservation and they kept the deposit. I was told about the cancelaction policy prior to making the reservation and I accepted it. I just wanted to let everyone know that if you make a reservation and cancel, you lose your deposit. This is the only campground that I have had this occur. All other places I've incountered will refund your deposit if you cancle within 24 hours of making your reservation.Noteworthy details: Did not get deposit back
Tim H: This isn't far from where I live but it's nice to go camping and not have to go far.
Doug Messick: Cool
John Baxter: Our family's favorite campground! Many campgrounds aren't very accommodating of large families but this one is! Dan loved on our kids and never once made us feel unwelcome. Our kids would say hi to Mr. Dan multiple times a day and he'd always reply with a smile on his face. The activities on summer weekends are a blast that our entire family enjoys. There are lots of fun amenities as well. Highly recommend Baldwin Oaks.
Heather Iverson: We spent 2 summers at Baldwin Oaks and loved it. The owner Dan is super nice and there are lots of activities for kids here!
Estevan Ybarra: Love this place Dan's the best . Place is nice .
Nick Lubbers: Dan is amazing!
Amanda Brown: I have stayed at this campground many times, and every single stay has been great. Such a family oriented place :). Bathrooms are clean with hot showers, there are many parks for your children to play at as well as a pickle ball court, volleyball court, pool table ,Foosball table, shuffleboard, corn hole and horseshoe and the best part an outdoor pool. The campground owner Dan keeps this place in tip top conditions, always on the go taking care of everything and anything.Playground: There are two different playgrounds that offer a variety of activities to keep your kiddos busy and away from screen time.Restrooms: The restrooms are kept clean and stocked up with showers in both men and women's sides. ( the waters nice and hot) and there is on-site laundry attached to the restrooms. Wash and dry a load for just 5 dollars
James Addessi: Great family campground
Tiffany: Lived in our camper here. Dan is wonderful!
Jeffrey Robinson: Dan and Steve work very had at keeping the restrooms clean and they friendlyPlayground: Playground are kid friendlyRestrooms: Very clean

Veronica Devlin: Jackson Island is absolutely iconic! I drove over there today to show my kids where we used to chill and have bonfires in the middle of the night—we didn’t go down on to the island. I decided not to tell them about what we did besides having campfires lol. If you know, you know😎💪
Steve Kirchhoff: Best island in Grand Rapids by far.

Renee Landon: We were just out checking the view of How High the water was and ran across this bridge I don't recall ever seen anything like this
Cameron Nygaard: Quite a fine island I'd say. Very fine location I'd say. But since the railroad owns it, it is illegal to be there.

Foster Park: what do users think?
Bill Bereza: Nice shady stop along the way on Cherry. Enjoy the delicious smell of Chinese buffet or pizza.
P. J. Murray: Not really a park but more of a triangular grass area between streets. Statue and trees is about all that's there. Very limited on street parking. Sometimes a homeless guy might be camping there.
Ken Katerberg: This is a very small triangular park. The major attraction is a statue named "The Hiker" by Theo Alice Ruffles Kitson. It was dedicated in 1928, and commemorates the Spanish War of 1898-1902.
MetalZeat William: It's a small park but it's nice to read a book or listen to some music. Wish they had drinking fountain or a bicycle repair station
John D.: It's a small public space to honor the marines that died in the Spanish American War. There's only a statue, and unless you're a history enthusiast, it's worth skipping over.
Cameron Nygaard: Triangle of park. Yes this is considered a park.
Unknown: Tiny triangle of park. Can this really be considered a park?
Jose Bernal: Beautiful day in Michigan!!!
Angie B.: This place is filled with drunks and homeless people. Really doesnt fit with the neighborhood
