Daniel Marsh: We had Charlie out early this summer for a band-aid fix for our A/C to get us through... we had a party the next day and he gave us all the options, but we opted for the quick repair and were happy for as long as we needed it... fast-forward to this fall. Andrew did our inspection and found a safety concern with our furnace (we had just moved in and knew our system was 20+ years old) and was able to get us moving on a needed replacement for the next day. He showed me the obvious failure and it was clearly unsafe.Dwight came out that same day and quoted several options, we opted to replace our A/C, Furnace, and Water Heater at the same time for labor and convenience...Everyone I've worked with (Charlie, Kate, Andrew, Dwight, Adam, and Drew) has been great, communicated clearly, and are who we'll be using for the foreseeable futureI didn't even realize Dwight was the owner and it seems to be a family affair with some employees who (I'm inferring) are treated well and it shows. Even though we thought the problem was the gas valve, the tech thought it was the igniter module board - a $485 part plus labor. Turns out it was the gas valve. Not only did we not get the part refund, they won't return our phone calls.My advice, shop around. We found significantly better prices elsewhere.

Gregory Hatcher: We used Pro-Tech to investigate a heating/cooling issue at a property. I ended up paying $200 for them just to pull in the driveway. The cost was inflated due to being outside normal business hours, which I have no issue with. Pro-Tech was unable to diagnose the issue while on-site and left after an hour. Less than 12 hours later, the furnace was broken again. After speaking with their services manager, Justin, he informed me that my company would have to pay another $100 for them to just to visit the property and attempt to diagnose the issue again. This is insane, ProTech wanted me to pay AGAIN after their tech failed to fix the furnace issue the first time. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a heating/cooling business in Grand Rapids. I will under no circumstances ever work with this company again.Service:HVAC system maintenance
