Mark DeLano: We used Jacobson's for our replacement HVAC in our previous, much larger home 10 years ago. That home required two A/C units and 2 furnaces. In our current home, our 20 year old A/C needed replacement and we got 2 assessments of our needs and quotes. Choosing Jacobson's was easy. Tom was on point, gave practical advice on what made sense for our job and our projected timeline in the home. Their honest approach was appreciated. There are other services that were discussed like furnace and hot water heater replacement. Contrary to the other vendor/salesmen quote, the idea of replacing the entire HVAC system was dismissed as unnecessary, particularly since we replace the heat exchanger on the furnace 2 years ago and we have had no problems. Stephanie Kramer: I called Jacobson today after getting a furnace tune-up from another company. The other company told me I needed a new furnace (and water heater! and possibly air conditioner), and they said I needed to decide NOW or the deal would fall through. I finally got them to leave and called Jacobson. They called me back quickly and gave me the honest truth... They said I'm probably good for a few more years, just need to change the filter more frequently. When the time comes to replace or repair, I'm going with Jacobson for sure! Mark Robinson: Started with a great experience with Jeff. He assessed our situation and needs and gave us options, Jeff is not high pressure, based on our needs he actually talked us out of paying unnecessarily for a variable speed motor option, again based on our needs, he also advised we didn't need to replace our A/C at the same time, no other company we spoke to made those suggestions. And finally when he realized my wife and I were on the verge of making a decision he left the room to give us privacy to discuss.We weren't an emergency, but he had availability the next day which was very convenient for us, our install team was Mark and James, they arrived promptly as promised at 8.30, there was a very polite introduction and run through of the scope of the work, we gave them access via the back door and left them to it, as promised they were done before 2. Clean up was good and they gave me a basic run through of the new furnace before leaving.It's only been a couple of weeks but we love the new furnace. We bought the Daikin 96% 2 stage gas valve, while replacing our furnace we wanted to make sure we got comfortable and even heat distribution. Per Jeff's recommendation we got what we wanted, a super quiet system and a more even heat throughout.Also, pricing of the various options was the out the door price and that's exactly the price we paid upon completionService:Heating system installation

Mike Personke: We have a complicated dual zone system that came with our condominium that our previous service provider often struggled with. We heard Jacobson understood these systems so we tried them out when we had a problem with the heating between zones. In addition we asked him to replace our one thermostat for both zones with 2 new Nest thermostats. They had to put a whole new water heater in and that still didn't fix the problem so now they want to charge me $100 to come look at my water heater again. I already paid 1500 for a new water heater. No one should have this many problems with a water heater in a 2 year span!!

Roy Gingrich: I am not sure what to think about this company. Had them out togive an estimate on a repair for furnace. Woman on phone said they could not give estimates without looking at unit. Never said anything about a charge. They had already diagnosed the problem from a previous visit.He told me what he thought was wrong with the unit, and how much it would cost. 4-500$. He also stated that it might notfix the unit, and that I would still be obligated to pay. Well I thought if you really do not know what is wrong with it, should you be working on it?? Gave me the feeling they did not know what they were doing. So I did not hire them to do the job, so before he left he made me pay a service fee of 120$. Not sure what others think, but does not sound right to me.Would not recommend.

The technician said I needed a new furnace after a quick inspection, and he showed me what he said was damage due to my furnace being too large for my home. My furnace was only 5 years old. I called Schaafsma and they sent David. After a much more thorough examination, the repair was made and he told me that my furnace was fine. Brian VanderPloeg: Mike the owner has gone above and beyond for a series of unfortunate HVAC events. When my furnace started smelling unusual he had a technician over same day to diagnose and make sure it was safe. When they determined the furnace needed to be replaced, Mike gave me a great price to upgrade and had someone here within 24 hours to do a full replacement. He even showed up to help with the install. When my AC went out in the dead of summer, Mike came through again with a price that hands down was much better than the other big name companies in the area. Lynn Babcock: I wanted to update the review I posted early today from 1* to 5*, would have given a higher rating if possible😊The owner, Mike, called me within a couple hours of my post on google to find out what caused me to write my original bad review. He apologized and arranged for another company to come out today to address the issue I was having with my furnace. He followed up with text messages and a voice mail to make sure I was receiving excellent customer service. What made his response so FANTASTIC was he did this while he was on vacation in Mexico. This man obviously takes a great deal of pride in his business and want to make sure his customers receive the highest level of customers service. The service technician that came to the house was very thorough and checked multiple things to make sure this issue was resolved before he left.Thank you Mike for caring so much about your company and your customers!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Normally I don't like to leave reviews like this, but I have given this business sufficient time to respond to my service call. I place a service call on Monday because my furnace was backfiring making noises loud enough to wake us up. No return call. Called again on Tuesday, No return call on Tuesday or Wednesday. Called again on Thursday and the call center listed it as a service call emergency and noted it was my third call. I even have a service contract with the company :(Let's see how long it takes them to respond or if they respond.....
Donald Kolenda: I had the pleasure of working with Mike, one of the owners. We were told by another contractor that we needed a complete new HVAC system, but we weren't sure how legitimate it was. The other contractor's price was several thousand dollars higher than what the Furnace Doctor quoted. Mike took the time to explain our options without any hype, and as a former Engineer for a leading manufacturer, I strongly doubt that anyone has more knowledge about product capability or current technology than Mike!Every person we have encountered from The Furnace Doctor has been the ultimate Professional! They were courteous, friendly, and clean! They worked quickly and accurately, and didn't leave a mess behind.Mike took the time to answer all my questions about the units he proposed, and I appreciated that he didn't feel the need to oversell, but recommended just the right ones for our home. And even though his team was super busy with other service calls, he and his partner came out to do the installation of our products! He helped set up our new IoT devices on my wife's phone, and even came back a few days later to set them up on my phone, as well! That is very impressive, and going the extra mile to make sure he has satisfied customers!I strongly suggest you consider The Furnace Doctor the next time you need repair or replacement of your heating and cooling needs! M Jeon: Zero Stars. First of all, I never post bad reviews online. I originally purchased a home humidifier (one you attach to your furnace) for our new home. We had a new born daughter and didn’t want the air to be dry for her during her first winter. Paid for a new unit and year service. They were eager to call and install, then immediately collect money. For the follow up service (the one paid for) they never showed. Basically, our money and never heard back.On top of that, Furnace Doctor never taught us how to operate the unit either. I then called a well known company to come and service. The service person told us Furnace Doctor never even turned on the water line to the humidifier. Basically, I paid for a unit that didn’t run all last winter.On top of that, I learned Furnace Doctor installed a broken humidistat and had bad wiring throughout as well. I wish I was joking about all of this.I would not recommend this company for any work. If you want to take a chance and pay this company for service, you’ll regret it like I did.***UPDATE: In response your response, you’re right. I did call to schedule a service and NO ONE SHOWED UP on the scheduled appointment. I sat around waiting for two hours. Furthermore, when I DID CALL three times that day, no one in the office answered. Instead, your answering service assured I’d get a call back and I got nothing.

Joel haugen: My furnace was acting up so I spoke with a rep on the phone and he was so kind, had very transparent pricing, and I said I would call around and shop prices and call them back. He called back minutes later and said he could tell we were down on our luck, that they were a Faith based business with the goal of helping people, and offered to send a guy out to diagnose our issues for us next day. Matt came out and had the problem diagnosed and fixed in minutes! He was very professional and really showed care in his work.
