Clean: I’m happy with this practice but I’ve had it twice now where they are supposed to do follow up (once with a spider vein procedure I had asked for and, recently, a prescription they said I could try for blister-like spots on my feet). Both times I believe it was the assistant that is supposed to be writing down what the doctor/PA is telling her that has dropped the ball.

Tray Parker: I met Dr Stawiski last year. By the time my referral and appointment were done I had no symptoms so he couldn’t do much for me. It was frustrating but it is what it is. He is older but I found if you make conversation he will talk to you. He was quick but his office is a pretty busy place. The other day I needed to get in and I had Beth. I had a 20-25 minute wait but they did squeeze me in. The blond nurse, she was so sweet. She asked a lot of questions and even took time to listen. She was very caring as well. I met Beth. I really like her. I was sobbing and she said we will get answers. She was warming, caring, patient and she took care of me. She finally got me comfortable. Thank you Beth. I see so many bad reviews. Just be patient guys and don’t judge by if they come off rushed at first. They have things going on too. -Tracy Stachnik

Alice Butcher: A nice person but spends a minimal time with a patient. 2 or 3 minutes and you are out of the exam room after he comes in. He needs to retire. Changed to another dermatologist.

Didn’t even care to ask what medications I’m already taking/using. Waited a half hour past my appointment time until I got in. Went in for scaring and acne he barely checked my face for 5 seconds. They only recommended using antibiotics or Accutane!!!! ZERO STARS I WILL NEVER COME BACK

Amy Adams: I have a history of skin cancer and terrible acne. I went to the office for a full body scan + to manage the acne, the doctor was in the room for MAYBe 5 minutes, barely even looked at my back where I have TONS of spots that need examination didn’t take 5 seconds to look at any other part of my body (for the full body scan), didn’t have any sort of conversation about my acne or things I’ve tried, wrote a script, handed it to me and told me to come back in a year! Now, my first skin cancer I had on my face for a couple of years because the dermatologist told me it was just sun damage, I was too young for skin cancer, so having this experience was HORRIFYING!

Audrey Hoekwater: As a medical professional in a high stress facility, I cannot begin to imagine how these outpatient specialists justify not giving the time of day to patient concerns. Came in for a cyst removal. Received no education regarding care for stitching from the female nurse employed here who administered the stitches. Called as soon as I suspected infection, to which there was no call back or response from facility. I returned for a self-initiated “check up” once healed, to check on large scar on back, to which same RN blamed me for infection, despite frequent calls once infection was suspected. She provided zero education for post stitching care. If you must come here, highly recommend staying away from this RN (wish I could get her name) older lady with dark hair. After years of practice you’d assume and hope for better. After taking a look at scar, she told me it was unfixable. I’ve been living in Chicago for a year and have had multiple dermatologists tell me this is certainly not the case- I am having scar repaired here with none of the “concerns” she warned me of. That’s the benefit of having a doctor look at your concerns and not an unhelpful RN. Unfriendly staff, unhelpful and most definitely not practicing evidence based practice. Left me with a large scar in back at 23 years old with no hope of repair until I finally consulted other derms. Highly suggest looking elsewhere in GR. Again, do not trust the dark haired tall nurse here- she doesn’t know what she’s doing.

Dezeri Smith: He left me frustrated, he just came in (Stawiski)for 2 to 3 minutes tops looked at my hairline and diagnosed my hair loss as hereditary, without allowing me to really ask the questions that I needed answered, he gave me a little talk time but he was in and out of the room so quick , I didn’t feel satisfied with the way he conducted his manners as far as not letting his patients ask questions they may have because hair loss can be a traumatic experience especially for women, so maybe him giving a little more time to ask questions to understand out of concern to the patient, can possibly help the issue to feel less traumatic and can give some understanding, he needs to start giving his patients chances to address concerns with him because that can help with the acceptance and healing process.

Emmie Estes: extremely rude and unprofessional. they don’t care about their patients. their office staff is awful. some days you’ll go in at your appointment time and wait upwards of an hour to be seen. the only good thing about this place is dr. beth. i will never be returning.

Joe Novaco: The nurses seemed disengaged, the doctor spent all of 2 minutes in the room with me and was looking at the door after the first 30 seconds, and they never sent my prescription to the pharmacy even after I called to ask that they send it.I’m typically pretty forgiving but I will never come back here. If you’re looking to have someone care about your skin, go somewhere else.

Amanda Pierce: My son's dr moved to Helen devos. We tried to follow her there but that office said we don't have her sched and don't know when we will, you should see someone else. We weren't informed of this move and had to resch his follow up. We saw someone else in this office, she took him off all his meds except 1. He needs a refill and both the pharmacy and I can't get a response. His dr at Helen devos won't see us. Finally after leaving a not nice msg they respond and say we need an appt. We were told he doesn't need anymore appts unless he's having problems. On top of this, you will end up waiting a long time past your appt and they don't care to tell you what's going on. 1 day my 5 yr old and I waited 45 mins after his appt, and we had shown up about 15 mins early. As I'm waiting behind another woman canceling kuz she waited and had to leave, they finally came and got us. Don't waste your time here. They don't care.

Jill Roedema: I had a yearly all over check with Dr Bossenbroek. She was very fast and spent hardly any time with me. As I was getting dressed afterwards I realized that she didn’t check my scalp. I have very thin hair. I also realized that she didn’t check the spots I was concerned about on my upper lip. I told the nurse that I need her to come back and check these things. Dr. Bossenbroek came back in the room and blamed it on not having enough coffee yet. No once did she say that she was sorry. Turned out that the spot on my upper lip was precancer and had to be burned off. Only yo realize a couple of days later when the scab came off that she didn’t even get if all. I had to go back a second time and of course charged me $105 for that visit too. I will never return.

Cody Harding: We set an appointment to have a section of skin removed after a biopsy showed possible skin cancer at my primary doctors office. My primary referred me to lakeshore. I drove from Byron Center to north GR during business hours on a Tuesday and when I arrived they explained that they don't take my insurance and that I would have to pay out of pocket. They had my information given to them from my primary doctors office, why was this just discovered after taking valuable time out of my day to drive up to your office for no reason. I will say the office did look very nice, however I'm glad this happened before I became a patient, because if the process to see new patients is this flawed then I can only imagine the other flawed processes that are in place for existing patients.

Michael McAlpine: Staff was friendly, however, the number of visits and billing was excessive. To diagnose contact dermatitis, it took 3 visits and a biopsy which was billed for separately. With insurance, that cost $200.00. This is excessive to diagnose something that can treated with an over the counter cream.

Kate Palmateer: Had a great first visit for my boys. We were taken back on time and seen by the doctor promptly. The doctor was kind and fun to my young boys. The needed treatment was done at this visit and they took the time to explain the procedure to me and my boys and took extra care to make sure they were comfortable throughout. I would recommend.

Ashley Bennett: Dr. Foster and the front desk staff in Grand Rapids are very nice and helpful. However, I've been called back to a room 10-30 minutes late almost every single time I've been there. I had a billing issue and had to call the office in Muskegon and was treated rudely. The Grand Rapids office is friendlier and more inviting than the Muskegon office, but both locations had me waiting well past my designated appointment time.

Although he apologized I now have a lop sided nose. And yes I did all the required items post and pre op. I personally would not have him due surgery on me again.
