Heather Morrison: Coworkers and I went for brunch on a Friday late morning to celebrate our work anniversary and it was amazing! The vibe and atmosphere were wonderful and the food and beverages matched.I'm a big fan of Bloody Marys and theirs was fantastic. They have a few options for Bloody Marys and I don't remember the exact one I received but I know it wasn't the spicy one.For my meal, I ordered the Matchbox Bowl and it did not disappoint! I am not usually a breakfast person but this dish made me want to come back for brunch again.Our waitress was also a gem! She was friendly and quick.Parking: Depending on the day and time you dine with Matchbox, parking can be difficult. As long as you are comfortable walking, you will find something!

Took 15 minutes to get just water and then we watched multiple tables have the same experience along with others walk out. Kayla Hurst: Adorable little diner spot with classic comfort foods but definitely elevated and really yummy! They also have breakfast alll day which is my jam. I had the veggie skillet or scramble and my husband had the chicken sandwich. They were both really good! They were packed so make sure you make a reservation or hop on the wait list!Parking: There was a decent amount of parking in the residential neighborhood area across the street.

My son ordered the fried chicken sandwich, and his was very dark, almost burnt. He said it tasted good but could tell it was fried in "end of day" oil. It was near the time the restaurant closed, and we both have worked in restaurants to recognize it for what it was, as long as the food tasted good. I would go back again, especially as the couple next to us ordered breakfast, and it looked delicious.

Valorie Deichman: We went to Matchbox for breakfast on our last morning of a GR visit. I wish we'd gone the first day so we could have gone back a second time. I had the creme brulee French toast. It was perfection. With all the different sweet elements (caramel sauce, white chocolate drizzle, strawberries, candied pecans, whipped cream and a side of syrup) it was not a heavy sugar overload. The side of bacon offered a nice salty crunch. My husband had the Matchbox omelette with hash browns and raisin toast. The omelette was puffy and filled just right with bacon, spinach, and tomato and topped with avocado and hollandaise that was so fresh tasting. The hash browns were golden and crispy. He declared it one of the best breakfasts he's ever had- and we've had a lot of good breakfasts all over the country. We will return.

katrina fox: This is the second time I have been there. The first time wasn't great, but I was willing to give it another shot. I ordered chicken and waffles. The waffles did state on the menu that they had pearls. I didn't realize that meant hardened pieces of what seemed to be powdered sugar on the inside. They were so sweet they were inedible. Awful. I asked our server about them, and apparently they are that way on purpose. He offered to bring me something else. I declined. But that was it. No apologies. Nothing. Truly unpalatable food. Will not go back.

We were happy to be able to leave a name and phone number with the hostess so we could wait outside. There's not a lot of room inside the restaurant to wait for a table. Our server was friendly, and the food was as good as we remembered. My partner and I both tried something new this time. She got the Cuban skillet and I got the Polish skillet. Both were great, and I was excited for the thick cut toast we got. I forgot how good the breads are that they use!
