Joe Murphy: Service was fine when getting fitted. Tuxedos did not fit well and when asked about adjustments they said they could not be adequately adjusted. Many of the groomsmen looked as though their tuxedos did not fit properly. Up charges for things such as a “fitted shirt”. Cuff links fell apart during the wedding. When I called to talk to a manager she was dismissive and did not seem to care in the slightest. Will not be using this business again and I suggest other do not either.

As for the 28th st store; these guys were amazing!! Super quick and friendly all the way around, and super affordable. Dunhill prices are a fraction of what other places like Men's Warehouse is AND they look just as great!!The first fitting was as expected with measurements and approximations, but still quick. The final try on session was my worry. As the Bride I wanted to make sure my guys looked good and were happy. We did run into some small alteration problems and they were able to take care of everything right there!! All the guys were happy which made me happy!

Hannah Fletcher: Pleasantly and wholly surprised with this company. Let me start by saying that I know NOTHING about tuxedos. I measured my husband and ordered what I thought was his size. HA needlessly to say it wasn’t. I emailed John to see what I could do. Y’all, within a couple of hours, he CALLED me, not email, not text, but an actual human to human telephone call. He was so nice and helpful. I had a tight timeline, and THAT SAME DAY, John had the correct size jacket in the mail. Now on top of the amazing and personal customer service, the resale tux I received may as well have been brand new. The quality was superb and it’s even better than the pictures. Jonathan Dodge: Hired The Tailors to alter a suit. Was quoted one amount, and the price ultimately came out significantly higher. Even higher if you use a credit card. Poor expectation setting. I was told they call if the price is going to be higher, but gauging other reviews here, that must not be happening. Feels like bait and switch. Will certainly never come here again.

Kellie Zammitt: I am normally not one to leave bad reviews, because that is just not who I am. However, my recent experience at The Tailors left a bad taste in my mouth. I came in and requested alterations on a bridesmaid dress. They squeezed me in their busy schedule which was very nice, and provided me an estimate. I left with a pick-up slip that also stated in writing what I was quoted. I went to pick up the dress, tried it on, and was very pleased with the job that was done. As I went to pay, the girl checking me out said “I quoted you wrong originally, here is your actual total.” (which was 50% higher). I asked her if there was anything that they could do considering it was their mistake and mis-quote. They chose not to honor their original quote or even meet me somewhere in the middle. I thought the way they handled it was unprofessional, honestly. I understand it was just an estimate, but 50% over is quite a difference. A difference in which I would have chosen a cheaper place for my alteration needs. I left and knew right away I won’t be returning. For a small business like this to not put customer service first and just honor the price that was given, is really unfortunate. They messed up and the customer paid for it. Critter Welder: Had a awesome experience there!!! I brought my motorcycle vest up there to have patches sewn on. The last place (on Leonard st) told me it was impossible to sew my patches on without sewing the pocket half shut...The lady from The Tailor's told me it was no problem to get my patches where I wanted them and still be able to have full use of my pockets and she explained to me the process. They are very professional and very welcoming to everyone. Their price was better and the quality of work I'm sure will be way better!! Very happy customers, I will be sending others your way for sure!!

Anna Ruhlman: Very poor customer service: I took my wedding dress in for a quote for alterations. I was told she would have to pin it all before offering a quote so I put it on and she asked if I was in love with it in a displeased way (you should never say that to a bride in her wedding dress). The quote was twice as high as another place and when I wanted to take the dress to another place, it was made to be a big deal to have to take the pins out when I asked for a quote before pinning to begin with.

Tom Lindsey: I had an emergency and contacted Bella. I needed what other stores would call a small Item with a lot of work for not alot of proffit (Tuxedo Shirt to be shipped out) She found exactly what I was looking for and called us back quickly. She took care of the shipping details and everything. I have no doubt that if they care this much about a small item they would perform awesome for a whole tuxedo for an entire wedding party. These guys are great!

Kurt Wierda: Went through them for my brother's wedding, they took our measurements and didn't have us try on anything for that. Picked up the tux the day before the wedding, had to try on three different pairs of pants and two jackets. Half of the our tuxes different fit right. Some too tight and some felt like they were too big. As I was putting on the tux for the wedding there was a tiny burn on the shirt, about a moth after the wedding they contact saying they found found a burn. I would suggest others go someplace else to rent tuxes.

And then proceeded to grab my butt and ask them if I should get a spanking too .The boys were being quiet and well behaved ( I don't know them) and I'm a 50+ yr old woman who was helping my 19yr old rent a tuxedo for prom. Completely unprofessional and bizarre.

Aurelia Monsalvo: Very attentive and information. The whole entire time the lady helped us, she made us feel welcome and gave us facts about the tuxedos and what pieces would compliment the other. She also helped us to see which shoes would be more comfortable than the others and what shirts would be hotter and cooler to wear due to the thickness of the clothing. Overall they were very helpful and cheery, they truly care for their customers. Would definitely being coming again!!
