Speyer's Farm Market: what do users think?
blacktowerjake: I've been going here for almost 25 years. The selection of flowers is great every year. I go there every May for my house flowers. I go there in the Summer for the produce in the store (Yeah, home grown tomatoes). The staff is always helpful with my choices and questions.
Harmony Ruiz: Amazing local family owned greenhouse. Best plants you can find anywhere near grand rapids! They take such amazing care of their beautiful plants you almost never find any dead or near dying plants they are always spectacular. Definitely come out this way if you haven't yet
Kyla Joy: I love this 100+ year centennial farm! The people who work here are excellent at helping me find just the right perennial for the space I have in mind. They are very knowledgeable and love their jobs and it comes across! The fresh produce, preserves and local honey are a wonderful treat! Fall is beautiful here with values on small mums & pumpkins.TIP— they have darling, friendly, cozy greenhouse cats 🐈 🐈‍⬛😍 but be advised, if you have strong allergies
Norbert Dill: great corn now I'm waiting for the Brussels sprout
Val Okhuysen: Family owned farm market. The very best. Been going there for years😍
Stefanie Craig: Amazing fresh produce that tastes 10x better than the grocery store! In this picture everything was only $23.
Kyle Huff: Fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables.
Jan Goss: I love Speyer's! Love their flowers, love their produce and love the people! Great neighborhood market!
Melody Hoffer: Great selection of home grown fruits and veggies... seeing and petting kitties was a bonus 😻
Renee Peters: The greenhouse with flowers has a huge variety! The little store was open last week when we went in and their produce is amazing! And we could love on the 3 cats napping around!
Tristen rector: Local Fresh produce. Apple butter, jams, gardening, herbs and veggies all grown across the street!? Yes please! Friendly ladies working in there too! I will definitely be coming back. 😌
Genie Dalman: Love this place, especially their home grown tomatoes!!
chris luse: Got 4 bags of manure for my garden upon opening.the frist 2 their full of nothinf but weeds and roots and some dirt the green 9n the spread out pile is what i sifted out of thay bag...
Alicia Sommers: I love this place. Most amazingly kind staff. Amazing selection.
Debra C: Always quality flowers & plants to take & grow plus produce in the Summer & Fall season!
Stephanie Fongers: For about the past 5 years, I have only come to Speyer's for all my flowers, fruits, veggies and also soil. Their product always has great quality and lasts all summer and into fall. Plus, they almost always have what I need and IF they don't, just ask and they will tell you when more will be ready. Their employees are constantly restocking so sometimes all you have to do is ask. Even today when I went, one of the employees was stocking shelves and I noticed something on her cart that was beautiful and asked where I could find them. She told me that I could just take them off her cart because there weren't any of that particular color out on the shelf yet. They always have a very kind and helpful staff! All my fruits and vegetables grow VERY well in organic soil and I've always been impressed with the continuous abundance of what their plants produce. Forget the large corporate greenhouses like Countryside and go to Speyer's instead! Well worth it. Here's last year's picture of our overabundant zucchini (we kept having to give it away because we couldn't eat it all ourselves) and our giant sunflowers that are beautiful when they shoot over the top of the fence (we had one that was 10'6")!!
Terri Mix: Only place I shop for flowers etc. Customer service is wonderful!!!
Steph Casemier: Wonderful
bonniegeen “Bonnie”: So many staff and all very helpful. They have a beautiful variety of veg, perennials and annuals. Lotsa grasses and climbers. Beautiful arrangements and reasonable prices. 5/6/22 update I had a cat sighting!! Bought Mom a wonderful arrangement and Harmony was so knowledgeable and helpful to me and others all at the same time! She was kind of holding a class on hanging baskets 💚
Mel N: Great place for veggies fruits and local foods
Jeannie Foster: Good bargains and I enjoyed the honey, customer service, was good.

Vormittag Tree Farm: what do users think?
Deb Roh: First time getting a tree from Vormittag… we downsized this year from a 14’ to an 8’ and purchased a precut from the barn. It was beautiful and perfect and has barely dropped needles. So pleased and will definitely be back next year.
zander 2point0: Cool nice people
miguel ponce: Just got a Christmas tree yesterday and while the staff was excellent the tree selection was a bit sparse. Not a whole lot of options 5ft and up im pretty sure everything was 5ft and below
Harmony Charles: Very nice workers, nice tree farm. They have it organized quite well to get you in and out with ease. They directed us to the area of the species of tree we wanted, handed us a saw, and sent us on our way. We were told $50 for a Frasier Fur "about 6.5 ft tall" but when we pulled up to have it shaken, bound, and tied to the car, we were charged $75 and it's not even 6' tall. Their trees while mostly proportionate, are small. My husband is only 5'9", and most came to about his height. $75 for that sized tree is insane. We will look elsewhere next year.
Erik Fagerstrom: Great service, shook the tree, wrapped it, and tied it to the roof very fast.
mario barrera: This place is awesome!!! Very friendly. Brought the kids and the dog. Had lots of fun. Took lots of pictures. What a way to make beautiful memories!!!!! Been a loyal customer for years and years.
Katie Kowalski: First time going to this tree farm and can't wait to return next year! They make the whole process easy as soon as you pull up.A staff member handed us a saw to borrow (you are welcome to bring your own if you want), gave us a quick summary of the different types of trees they offer (which I was thankful for because I personally wouldn't have known the difference lol), and then directed us toward the section of trees to drive to.Depending on the type of tree you prefer, prices were reasonable - ranging from $50-$75. They take card and cash (small surcharge for card, so be sure to bring cash if you want to pay a flat rate).Wide range of tree sizes. Bigger ones in their barn too if you're looking for something taller than 7ft.Once you pick out your perfect tree, just drive back toward the barn where they'll shake it down and tie it up in a netting safely to your vehicle!Oh, and we were able to bring our dog who made a few other doggy friends while we picked out our tree! :)Can't recommend this place enough!!
Jenni Hansma: Definitely recommend. We stopped at a different tree farm first and they laughed at us when we asked for a 8’-9’ fraiser fir. Vormittag warned us that it might be slim pickings for that size, but kindly spent the time explaining to us how covid affected the Christmas tree farms. All of the workers were kind and helpful. No wagon ride, but they do have a barn filled with beautiful trees, wreaths and porch pots. Very reasonable pricing and they even shook, baled, and loaded the tree on top of our van for us.
Cynthia Harrison: What an amazing place. Really enjoyed picking out a Christmas Tree as a family and cutting it down. Great place to make memories❤️
Jordan Reed: A little muddy thanks to the melting snow but we enjoyed the day
Adam Scheele: Very friendly service, great selection of trees. Thank you again.
jennifer miles: Love this place!
Aaron Ferguson: Found another great tree and the staff were helpful and cheerful. Always a fun experience!
Christine Garner: We went to a different tree farm first and spent 20 minutes trying to find just one decent tree. I convinced my husband to drive to Vormittags 15 minutes away and was hoping we would be able to find one. We showed up to friendly owners and a helpful little kid and saw there were soooo many beautiful trees to pick from. I was shocked at how pretty every single tree was. I will now only go here for our Christmas tree.
Ben s: Pricey but the best Christmas trees around, very little shedding and their tree stands are brilliant.
Chandra Dozeman: We love Vormittag Tree Farm! Every year they have those beautiful trees, wreaths, & garland. The owners are the nicest people you would ever want to met! Merry Christmas.
Chelsi Hall: Wonderful place and beautiful wreaths. Had a great time.
Brett Evans: Great Xmas trees , selection and prices
Chris: Trees last forever. Never have needles falling off. The only place to go cut down your own tree.
Carley (Cosmic Carleyy): We had the best time wandering around the farm picking our tree. It was a gorgeous sunny day in December and my parents, my son and I just loved being here at Vormittag. The drive is beautiful and the nature surroundings were perfect. We loved seeing all the other families having a great time and were able to pick our tree without any hassles. It was nice having the freedom to choose and people around to answer any questions we might have had. I could have chatted with the employees all day there, everyone was so sweet. Thanks for the wonderful experience! I even cut down my own tree 🎄
Alexandria Van Duzer: It was great. Drove up, young man met us with a mask, handed us a saw and we drove out to pick out our tree. Came back and they bagged and tied it down for us. Super simple. Small pickings but we still found a great tree. Lots of variety.

ÁC Viviana: 1st timer & I'll not only recommend it but continue to go back for years to come!I fought and fought and try to stick up for meijer's prices but as soon as I got there I was sadly mistaken. Meijers nor Walmart or any other retailer especially a regular Petco or pet company has these type of prices! Nor deals nor do they offer some of the foods (for dogs-french bulldogs to b exact) my dogs need that must either be ordered online @ extremely high prices.Definitely recommend it and I was able to fill up and had to find more space in fact for the quantity I was able to buy for such an affordable price! Thank you allThey also offer different types of shopping carts for your.... quantifical needs- kind of like how home Depot has the carts if you're getting wood, they have the same sort of carts among others for bigger purchases they are also handicap accessible!
lewis kline: Love this store. Great selection, prices and customer service. Enjoying the chicks.

Adam R: Standard family farm and home, like tractor supply. You know what you are getting
diane chaple: Used to get birdseed there till yesterday the price of Nature Widow went up 8 dollars more in 8 days could not believe it
Tanesha Moore: Just a friendly place I get my chicken feed from here. They have great prices also.

Bring your own reusable bags for when you end up buying more than you thought you would. 😉 Fruits, Veggies, Meats, Cheeses, Flowers and hand made jewelry to name a few. Refreshing horchata and pineapple juice were the perfect drinks to break up our shopping, and we closed out our trip with a few goodies from the taco truck.

Marian Starr: I visited the market a few weeks ago for the first time and I must say the experience was really enjoyable. My favorite pop-up at the market was the Greenwagon farm out of Ada. The items I purchased from their table were so quality fresh and beautifully grown. Planning another trip to the market just to get more items from them
