John Plichta: I'm only rating this place of five based on one service. I have the pleasure of experiencing the fish pedicure. It was everything I actually hoped for. I bought a two-person session off of Groupon and I will return to have it done again. There were a few things I didn't really care for. It's a little weird leaving your shoes at the front door and then walking through the entire building to get where you need to go. There's no slippers offered to walk through, so you're just walking on the bear floor that the employees are walking through with their shoes on. Besides that, you can't have a perfect experience but was decent enough

Loving how smooth my feet are. Staff are very nice and accommodating. Offered and given water and tea during my visit.This is the only place in Michigan left you can receive the fish feet treatment, so go give it a try!

My only complaint is that the spa was difficult to find because it is inside a building and we had to wander all around the area and through the building to find it.Once we arrived though, they were ready and waiting for us. Everything went very smoothly and both of our ladies were great. We were able to relax and I think we both fell asleep for a minute! Oops! It was nice to have a couple of extra towels available at the end to wipe off any excess, but there wasn't a lot. If you like deep tissue massages, this might leave you wanting more, but it is nice that everything is gone over twice.

Aaron Merritt: Pros:The body wrap was extremely relaxing.The place was very cute.Morgan and Samantha were great.Cons:The trip lacked some things that I would have expected a place with these prices and all day options to have, such as a waiting room for guests between services, not just the front waiting area, some snacks, such as maybe at least fruit and chips and flavored drinks while between services, a waiting robe and slippers while between services. Also, the "body" wrap was not what was expected, while very great i would have expected to be FULLY wrapped, like further up my thighs and my midsection, not just my arms and legs to above the knee. finally the mani/pedi were lacking in comfort, chat (Crystal), and ambiances. for example, I would have expected the chairs to be comfier, possibly massage chairs, would have expected some snacks, a jet powered foot bath etc, these are things that are at normal nail salons so I would have expected a full spa to have at least them if not better accommodations. And finally the lady that did my hands and feet (Crystal) could have been confused for someone on their way to giving up speech for how little they spoke.

The care and detail she gives is AMAZING....I always find myself rubbing my feet surprised by just how soft they are for DAYS after every visit.The staff is great, super friendly environment. Jackie Smith: I was excited for my massage at Woodhouse after reading the reviews. However, my experience wasn’t as enjoyable as I would have hoped. The actual spa is beautiful, but I wasn’t happy with the attitude of the front desk woman or the work from my massage therapist. I told my masseuse to focus on my upper back and neck area as that is where I hold stress. My massage was in the evening so I went home and not long after went to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night with a very sore upper back and a pinched nerve in my shoulder blade. It took about 5 days for that to remedy itself. Just a bummer that I went in for a massage to relax and it actually caused me discomfort. I’ve had massages before and this has never happened so it leads me to believe it was the masseuse’s work.

The time flew by and the talented staff were very attentive & made the experience enjoyable for the 2 of us. When I spoke to the receptionist before arriving she advised that the system only books for one person although it’s called massage for two and that it would be $400 for a massage for two. Milaina Palazzolo: If I could give this place zero stars I would. I booked a Dermaplaning facial (45 min) and the girl who did my face probably spent 20minutes total on my face and charged me 90 dollars. I know this for sure because I parked my car in a lot that charges, walked to this facial bar, filled out the new client information, got the facial, walked back and the total time I was parked there according to my ticket was 38 minutes. I get facials regularly and wanted to try this place because of the reviews, However, my facial was so bad I literally had to get another one two weeks later. She started my facial by cleansing my face once, left me under the steamer for at least 10 minutes doing nothing, spent probably a couple minutes dermplaning it, rubbed some ice cubes around on my face and told me I was done. Done with what? The intro to the facial? What a rip off.

Tori: I went here for the stress relieving facial. I was really looking forward to pampering but I left feeling underwhelmed. The setting is gorgeous, in the old Baker building. My treatment was in a private room. The cot was quite hard and uncomfortable and I really feel they need a pillow to put under people's knees. There is a toilet pipe running right above the treatment bed and it was definitely flushed during my experience. Not terribly relaxing. Part of the facial included an upper back massage. This person was not experienced in this. Her movements were fast and chaotic and anything but relaxing. The facial was OK but my face feels pretty raw from all the rubbing and removal of product with hot towels. Also, the scalp massage was skipped which I was most looking forward to. I probably won't go back or recommend this place.

Chloe Rynties: Went here with my mom for a facial and it was not a very relaxing, spa like experience. You just lay on a bed in the open area and get a face wash and a couple masks done. The esthetician we got also seemed new or just very shy cause she didn’t introduce herself or talk about how the process worked or what products they used or anything. Also, they were playing loud, upbeat music which definitely doesn’t put you in a spa mindset. Overall, if you want a full facial spa experience try somewhere else. This place seems better for just small treatments.

Sam is kind and welcoming, and she also puts you completely at ease. The ambiance of Lex Facial Bar is old meets new and absolutely soothing. Located in the old Baker Furniture building, you are able to enjoy the space of yesterday sprinkled with modern, beautiful colors, furniture, and decor. Just being in the space helps you exhale.
