I'm rewriting my review(in my home a day latter) and upgrading from 1 star to 2(it was 3 stars, but things still haven't changed its October- I wrote this review in May 2021). I'm doing this because Star, the club manager listened to me and comped me a beer. I'm showing her gratitude by upgrading my review.I came In with $600 to spend on the girls, and I never parted with a $1 of it, because it wasn't earned. A little smile, a wiggle a little attention & small talk goes a long way. I received neither and it's shameful really! You girls give attention and we give the money. It's not rocket science. You should be grateful for every customer that walks in those doors.I'm writing on behalf of all the other men who just don't bother to say anything. A happy customer is a repeat customer. On the flip, a jilted customer you'll never see again. Though the girls are contractors, they are the face and reputation of the establishment. As contractors, they should be compelled/obligated toward customer service. I understand it's difficult to find attractive dependable workers too. Frankly, I'll take a less attractive girl that's friendlier over a girl that fine who thinks she to good. And that average girl with a better personality will make more money.My criticism is valid and shouldn't be viewed only as negative input, but as a tool to identify some issues that could be corrected. Constructive criticism makes us better, if we care enough. I went to another club and spent over $500.

Waited 10 minutes behind two people and finally gave up. Didn't feel like it at that point to go upstairs to see if I could get a drink from that bar.I left the club because I was thirsty. I would have stayed longer and danced more and bought more drinks if there was a way to get them from the bar on the first floor.They need to put on more bartenders at the first floor bar and hopefully pool the tips so all the customers can be served without people walking away. Cuts into the club profits when you can't buy a drink and the bartenders lose money because if you can't get a drink, you don't leave a tip.I think there should also be a retro 1970's-1980's Disco Music one night each week. That would pull in more of the older Gay crowd who live in the Grand Rapids area and perhaps some of the older Gay summer residents of the Lake Michigan resort communities.

But now Rumors is 18+ ONLY on Sunday and Tuesday. AND on Sunday it costs twice as much for 18-20 year old cover as 21+ cover! Rumors used to be the coming of age place in MI, but now it’s full of Straight™️ Customers and is no longer open to LGBTQ+ young adults that just want to dance after working 10 hours as “essential”

Nicole: 10/10 for SPECTACULAR bartenders!! I was with a group of gals for a bachelorette party when we visited from out of town. We had a wonderful time dancing and laughing, but unfortunately I lost my wallet in the process and didn’t notice until the next day. I called during the afternoon and couldn’t believe that someone answered the phone. They had my wallet, safe and sound! I had anxiety all night about it, especially since we were traveling. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness!! You all are rock stars.

Mario Adkins: I’ve never had a more terrible bar experience in my life, so terrible that I feel compelled to leave a review. Sat at the bar and it took 20+ minutes to get a drink (and I had to flag someone down, no one just approached me), then another half hour passes with no acknowledgment and I’m just ready to go. It unfortunately took another half hour or so to cash out. I still left a tip of, actually 283% of my one, $5.30 beer because I know the needs of this industry. The server said though, that she’d prefer my grace over money—them having a new system. Now I just feel insulted, leaving a superb tip compared to the (lack of) service I got—your new system and the understandable customer service lag had nothing to do with the excessive (and I mean near half hour blocks of wait time) lack of attentiveness. No greetings, no would you like another drink, water, nothing. There sure were other customers servers were chatting it up with across the bar. I would have appreciated just a genuine apology, not some unaccountable dodge that doesn’t even make sense. Will never come back to this place.

The reason for the four stars is because the pathway to the bathroom can get crowded and drunk people just sit there and don't move for you LOL. The only recourse is to yell at the top of your lungs over the music and so then you are being rude.

Ironwell also brings in a variety of entertainment; from the bands, dj bingo,karokee and line dancing. Tomas, Audrey, Jen, Taylor, Neavaeh, Liz and Lauryn are all amazing bartenders and really care about their customers. I love this bar and will always support them.

Ben Meade: The male bartender there is INCREDIBLY rude to customers. His attitude towards people who come here to relax and have a drink is absolutely miserable. I watched him be very rude to the person next to me for NO REASON AT ALL! I immediately closed my tab and as much as I hate to leave no tip I didn’t leave a dollar and left. Will not be returning to this place. People beware find another place to go it’s not worth it here or you’ll find yourself dealing with this bartender and his nasty attitude.

He is snippy as hell to anyone who goes up to the bar and orders drinks. I try to avoid having to go up there because his nasty attitude ruins the entire vibe of trying to go out and have fun. I have dealt with it myself but have witnessed him antagonize customers numerous times then have them thrown out when there is a response from the customer. They have taken my drinks off the table and have them thrown out after I literally just paid for them because this bartender was getting very nasty with me and when I decide to respond I’m thrown out and my money just spent on drinks are thrown out. Something needs to change with the quality of service. Will not be returning until this bartender is given the door. If you don’t like bartending with a positive attitude obviously this isn’t the job for you.

Peter Vis: If you are interested in drinking with Westsiders, this is your place. Great diverse, interesting real people who enjoy drinking, smoking, swearing, and rowdy adult bar fun. The mobile phone app to play music on the jukebox is loved by many and holy snikey the range n variety is fantastic. Even when I hear something I don't particularly like, it's fun to see somebody singing along knowing every word. I've seen some of the best Harleys in GR here and they have the solid black rubber burnout marks to prove it.

Paul Nordquist: I can't recommend this place for a senior to unwind. The atmosphere is rather dull, very loud and smacks of dystopia and the food is served with an ugly smirk but they will gladly take your money. I also witnessed a man stumble up stairs but management did nothing; so apparently there isn't much concern for the public's safety either. Maybe they were just having a "bad hair day". I will return in a few months to see if I will find a happier place to be. If my mind isn't changed, I will call this just another run of the mill "dive".......I want to be wrong.

Management and staff seemed to be both having a bad hair day. Can't recommend this place to unwind and relax. I did not enjoy posting this review but this place seems to give credence to the adage "buyer beware" but I hope that I am wrong.

My only real issue was that our server was quite rude to us a few times, despite our requests not being far fetched in the slightest. She clearly had friends/regulars at other tables who she was very nice to and spent time talking/singing with, so it's unfortunate that she felt the need to be so callous with us. We consistently thanked her for everything, and all made sure that we were not making a mess and being courteous. Even still, she felt the need to make us seem like we were being a burden (in a mostly packed, pretty loud bar?). I would still recommend Logan's Alley as it was overall a great night, just be wary of the service.
