Indian Trails Golf Course: what do users think?
J gamino: Nice
Rob: Used to be solid for price.
Cameron Renz: Good pubic course, well keep most of the time.
Michael Cauzillo: Short muni priced right you should be able to play the same ball the whole round
Steve Beene: Short track. Adjacent holes. 4800 yards. Round was fairly quick.
Isaac Phelps: watch out for the pressed old man harassing kids about bunkers
George Brown: Golfing on November 3rd. Course was I great shape. Thank you Indian Trails.
Brendan Schafer: Short Course.Open. Fairly well maintained. Great for teaching kids or shooting a PR. Don't trust the markers.
David Vipond: Solid course for the price. You're a bit close to the 28th Street traffic which can be loud depending on the time of day.
Abe Lee: Excellently fare price and nicely maintained golf course.
Brandon Mackey: We we’re denied service. Drove an hour for them to tell us we couldn’t play because we had a person back out. And the staff we’re extremely rude about the situation
T S: Fun, convenient, decently taken care of for the price. However… they need to get rid or 10-15% of the tee times or have someone keeping pace. Should not take 25 minutes to tee off the second tee. Expect almost 5 hours to play 18 on the weekend.
Calvin Asusa: Well priced and usually in decent shape, my go to for a quick round within the city limits. Easy course to walk and hone in your game. They seem to cater to all forms of golfer.I use the driving range the most, I would give that aspect of the course 4 stars because they utilize mats, but with limited room and limited grass, I can certainly understand why.Recently the addition of a range machine has certainly upped my enjoyment, as I can get out of my car and walk straight to the range, no mucking around at the proshop anymore!Staff is generally well mannered and will help you anyway you can. Its a fairly well oiled machine. My only grip (If you can even call this one), is due to weekday leagues, it can be tough to get on later in the day, so generally an afterwork round is out of the question.
TMT Icy: The staff is all around good, course and greens are usually kept looking nice. Only downside is there is a employee who seemed like a manager, that tries to charge me and my friends more money every-time I’ve came in recently. i have to keep reminding him that I came 3 times last week and paid under $20 (high school rate) but he kept trying to get us to pay $25 even $27 one time, just weird stuff.
Jakob Gray: I was very disappointed with my experience here, especially it being my first time. I booked a tee time online for me and my buddy at 8:20. Online it states rates before 9am for 18 holes is $29. We arrive there and find out that we have been randomly paired because of the golf now software, and the rates only apply to 9 holes. That’s really sneaky behavior and I wasn’t happy to start. I then go ahead and ask for a student discount instead and the super outgoing club house guy huffed and puffed about having to cancel the transaction. He also included a sarcastic comment about how $5 is $5. I didn’t acknowledge him and I just walked out. Oh it’s not done though... we tee off at 8:19, club house guy comes out again and tells us we’re supposed to be on the back. We go pickup my buddys ball and are stuck behind 3 foursomes the rest of the day. What an absolute nightmare in the clubhouse, I’d be posting fake rates too if this how my staff ran a golf course.
Stephen Burrill: Treasure of the Grand Rapids community. Not a flashy course but great for those learning the game and a casual round. Practice facilities are expansive. Parking on week nights can be a nightmare, hopefully a bigger parking lot is coming soon!
Scott Rogers: Not one golfer in sight on the 1st 9 holes. All I saw were families with little kids taking 20 minutes per hole and beginners who were never taught golf course etiquette. Once the rookies played 9 and went home it was clear sailing. Ranger needed to get out from under her shade tree and move groups along. Doubt I'll play there again on a weekend.
Ryan Bartz: I was barked at by a coyote, and almost stepped on a skunk.
Greg Heisenfeldt: 4.5 stars out of 5. Early morning tee time not at all busy. Reasonably priced. Nice greens
Nathan: Really enjoyed it here. Very peaceful, and wasn’t very busy
Cecily Shi: Fun driving range! Very convenient location for short stop in GR.

Mines Golf Club: what do users think?
Russ Rose: Real nice course
Devin Dailey: Challenging and fun holes. You will be humbled if you are a new player.
d talbot: Painfully slow and managed poorly, what a shame
Adam Ikamas: Really fun golf course. Fantastic conditions with firm and fast fairways and greens. Great prices, highly recommend the Mines!
Nicholas Guyton: Great course, loved all the hills, staff very friendly
David Bush: A wonderful course...
Steve Beene: Nice golf course, moderately difficult. Get quite a bounce event on greens which I had to adjust to. Greens were in really good shape with lots of undulations. Fun course.
Jonathan Joseph: Great local course.
Brad Stek: Favorite course in GR. Well kept, friendly staff, easy to book, and challenging course.
Jesse Ault: Really fun layout and solid conditioning. Really good value at under $60.
Gerard D: Very well maintained course. The fairways consist of some steep hills. The greens have hardly any flat spots on them, which makes them challenging.
Ethan Schelling: excellent place for beginners and experts
Tom Rettenmaier: 2022: The Mines now has alcohol and food!About 2016, they remodeled and added a small bar. They have sandwiches, hot dogs and brats. Plus a nice range selection of beer with several “on tap” beers. Well drinks too! They are making some course improvements such as leveling out tee boxes, adding more cart paths and all their carts now have GPS. The course is in great shape. Thanks Mackenzie for asking me to update this review.P.S. I’m a member and enjoy the friendliness of the staff and chats with the owner!2014: very nice golf course being so close to the city. Greens were very angelating and several shots you had to place verses trying to hit over them. down side is no alcohol, food or place to sit after a relaxing round of golf. Otherwise well worth the money.
carlos dandridge: Best golf course in Grand Rapids MI by far and really challenges your game. Fast greens hilly fairways maks you tune your game up really fast ..
Natalie Hewitt: Beautiful (challenging) course!
Tom Timmer: Very nice course, can be challenging.
Joe Kresnak: Nice course, specially if you like hills!
Aaron Forrester: I've never golfed here but was just driving by and a golf ball hit the top of my truck. Would have hit my wind sheid had I not seen it boucne on the pavement and hit the breaks. Called and talked to a MacKenzie but she didn't take a name or number just apologized. Not sure what can be done besides a net of some sort along the road but I'm not happy this morning.
Bret Smith: No ball washers! Don't like playing with dirty balls!
Joshua Stevenson: Great fun course, tough the first time around because of elevation changes but a really well designed layout. Great deal for a really nice course
Jack Doney: The course has gone downhill since new ownership, the tee boxes are all chewed up the fairways are even worse . The greens are poor , but a lot people that play there don’t fix ball marks and don’t rake bunkers. Although there is not much to rake because there is very little sand in them. The last round I played I went into a bunker and I hit a black drainage tile in the bunker that was about 1/4” below the sand. To sum up The Mines they have a lot of work to do to get it back to what it was 5 years ago.

X-Golf Grand Rapids: what do users think?
Dr. Tyler Kinch: If you live in West Michigan and enjoy golfing, then you need to head to X-Golf. After you get your fill of golf stop and talk to Jordan for a private lesson. He knows what he is doing and gives simple and easy ideas to practice at home.
Marc Peterson: Place is great and the simulators are fun. Nice course selection and lessons are available.
Cody Hamma (Alaska): Great place for practice by yourself or with a group of people. I went here for a birthday for one of my good friends and had a great time, the bartenders and staff were extremely friendly and always made sure we were taken care of.
Jody Toften: Lot of fun. Drinks are good too.
Jonathan Joseph: Fun way to golf indoors.
Jeremy Burch: This place is top notch. We play in fall and winter leagues and I’m up there numerous times a week to work on my game during the winter. Jordan is without a doubt the best manager in the game. He has also given me a lesson recently that has taken my game to the next level. He’s an awesome person. I can’t say enough good things about him. Zoe is awesome too. She’s there for our Wednesday night league and never misses a beat! 36 guys in a Wednesday night league and your beer is never empty unless you want it to be.
Duane Wandel: Always get great service, but the prices are too much for one person to try to practice much at all.
Alyssa Morse: Service was overwhelmed tonight. Simulator had to be fixed every other swing it felt like. Had bay for 2 hours and felt like I hit like 5 times. Took 5-10 minutes to get fixed at times. Just not the experience and fun I thought it was going to be. Nothing against the staff…our group ask for some compensation but nothing was provided. We have been here before and it was fun but total difference experience the 2nd time.
Serena Son (공반이): Great facility and staff. It is pricey ..and they are almost always busy. I would recommend 👌
Ryan McGee: Staff was fast and courteous. Clean establishment. Will be back.
Patrick Nolan: I have played at X-Golf in Grand Rapids at least 15 times. Jordan should be an owner. He treats people like he is the owner, the very best. The technical problems are few but Jordan can correct them in seconds. Most of the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and timely with all requests. An excellent place to work on your game or just play if in Mich in the winter. Love X- Golf. Pat Nolan
Rebecca Hall: Came here with some friends last week. It was our first time at X Golf. Only one of us knew how to actually golf, so it was very interesting to watch each of us try to golf. One of us brought some clubs in to use ($15 per person if you don't bring your own). The rate itself to golf is a little pricey ($45 per person the day and time we went), but the technology to do X Golf probably costs a lot, too. Most of us had drinks and pretzels (really good pretzels by the way - 3 pretzel sticks with cheese for around $6). Overall we had a good time. Stayed for 4 hours instead of 5 hours like we originally planned.
Ryan Way: Awesome golf, drinks and friendly staff
Scott Ringquist: Super friendly staff. Great time
Brian VanderWerp: A very fun time. Zoe was attentive and knowledgeable. The list of course choices is somewhat limited, but who cares? You are playing golf indoors, and there's beer. It's the quarter car wash of golf, and that's not meant as a criticism. When you are limited by time, you find ways to play faster. I've read some negative reviews of this place, and I'm fairly sure one or two of the folks that wrote them have held me up on a real golf course once or twice. X golf is not cheap, nor should it be. However, if you think you didn't get your money's worth, you should consider giving up the game, or at least not making prime tee times that hold a real golf course up.
Mike Voss: Good time. Always run well. No F&B until February 1. Worth the time
Doug Baker: Enjoyed my first visit to X-Factor. Probably 4.5 stars only because I am uncomfortable with the information from the swing analyzer. Guess I need to adapt with the technology.
Joe Palumbo: Once we can drink beverages of an adult nature, I'll give you guys 5 stars.
Phil Marsh: Great set-up, simulators, and staff.
Kodee Hof: Amazingly fun, but GD expensive. Everything is well taken care of and they treat you great, but the overall price is to say the least daunting..
James Snyder: Zoe and Travis elevate this location to a whole new level with their top notch hospitality, positive attitudes and smiling faces! They are so much fun to be around and extremely helpful! Thanks for always having fun with us and being so welcoming!

Alpine Golf Club: what do users think?
Ted Ryfiak: You can smack a little ball all over the place and hope it goes into the cup! Nice course. Stupid geese.
Lance Bergeon: Pretty nice course
Paige Hornbeck: First a foremost this is my favorite course in GR. They’re a few reason and I’m going to list them here.1. Extremely relaxed and as a somewhat new player being able to come as you are is not typical.2. The staff is so kind and welcoming3. My personal #1 the chili cheese dog at the turn…omg…they have THE BEST.12/10 recommend coming for your next outing.
Keith Kennedy: Always a great place to swing the sticks!
William Gierhart: Was asked to leave hurry along and skip a few holes by management because veteran members were arriving soon. First and last time at this rude place
Tyler DeShaw: Very rude Owner. Grass was terrible. There are far way better places to spend money. Trust me people Don't not waste your time here. Worst place to tee in Michigan. Honestly I wish I didn't go.
Matt Davis: Really enjoyed the Alpine Golf Club! Great elevation changes and challenging dog legs. Incredibly hospitable staff. All around great time at Alpine!
Brandon Sorge: Nice course.
Joseph Mugen: Friendly staff and good course. Front 9 is more open, while back 9 is a little more secluded.
Swagaar: I love this place the staff are nice and very friendly good selection of beer and Beautiful Courses. Wish I had more time in a week to go golfing ⛳️
Steve Bailey: Nice course. The senior / forward tee boxes need to have some work on them rough shape.
The Wandering Kupuna: Very good golf course and very wallet friendly get there less traffic on the course
Tomas Maysonet: First time playing here, played 18 “solo” scored 90. Will definitely come back to this challenging but fun course.
Patrick Hoolehan: Very nice course with a friendly staff. Can't wait to play again.
Scott Strain: Wow, this course is in rough be shape, no tee box markers were on tee boxes when he we played.
a k: Not worth the money. The fairways are in poor condition. They ran out of golf carts, and I was forced to use a pull cart. There are much better courses in the area.
Russell Hodder (Rusty): Fun course! The clubhouse is phenomenal! They did a great job on this remodel! I couldn't believe how well kept the greens were! Honestly probably one of the nicest courses for this price range in the area. Can't believe it took me so long to play here!
NotAPenItsaPrincple: Had a decent enough time, but the course is in pretty rough shape and thus a bit overpriced. ‘New’ Yamaha golf carts felt like they’d sputter out any second. Owner was pretty condescending to my group, did not have a welcoming atmosphere at all. They seemed to be pretty over booked as well…Might be better to go on a weekday when it’s not so busy….but after this, I’m not planning to find out for myself. It was better than not golfing at all, I guess, but overall a very disappointing experience.
Gary: Looks like it was a really nice course at one time, we enjoyed ourselves but overall the course is not in good shape for what they charge for greens fees, $32 for 9 with a cart is to high
Sarah Szuber: Owner is extremely rude, don’t go there if you want to enjoy yourself. The course isn’t that good and the course map is absolutely awful. Again, the owner is terrible and truly disrespects golfers.
Jeff Huizenga: Needs work, but I was judging based on the course I knew 25 years ago

The Pines Golf Course: what do users think?
Patrick Myall: Friendly golf course.
Jake Golden: Great staff and course. Back 9 is mad fun.
Deborah Miller: Don't know don't go here
Brendan Schafer: Only played once. Leaves everywhere. Short course. Lots of narrow fairways. Not a great course, but I hear this is it's last year.
Linus De Paoli: Great golf course and driving range. Always friendly staff. Sad to know they will be closing after next season 😞
Tyler VanAntwerpen: The course is kept in great condition! Very friendly and helpful staff!
Pablo Rodas: It’s really fun especially if you go with your favorite people 😁
svanburen: Very rough, doesn't look or play like it's maintained
Logan schultz: Called on 3 separate occasions during business hours no one picks up the phone.
Gary Helgeson: Great little course, too bad its gonna be condos in a year
Nate Koehn: It's a nice little course with a lot to offer, but the check in process is not the best for open play. There's also not enough open tee times during the week late afternoon to make it worth trying to golf here. Weekends must be the time to go? Handwriting names on a yellow pad and waiting to see if they'll show up, when all members of their party aren't on location is annoying. We had to wait for 3 other groups to get all their people and tee off before we could, and all our people were there half an hour before the 3 other groups. Poorly managed system. Needs improvement before I'll change the star rating.
Mitchell Repp: Not a challenging course, but it is fun and the grounds are nice for what it is. Price point is low, and its a great place to have fun while golfing.
Cj Ikers: One of my favorite courses in Grand Rapids, very sad to see them closing sooner than later ☹️
robert hughes: Always well taken care of
Jonathan Sedlar: Always a good time at The Pines!
Caleb Befus: Fine golfing, what you can expect for $18 a round.
Stanley Otto: Short course but the greens are pretty hard and a couple have some severe slopes
Cameron Stoepker: Well maintained and in great shape even with all the hot dry weather we've been having. We'll done to the grounds crew.
Rj Stelma: Great course
Mike Bailey: Nice course and good price
Michael Kostin: Super people, fun (?) times had by all.
