Andrea Salik: The first time I went to this salon, I had a good experience. However, I think it can be very hit and miss because the second time, my haircut didn't turn out well at all (uneven among other things). During the haircut, the stylist said she had been running behind and seemed rushed, and that I was the last client of the day. So I think she probably didn't take as much time as she normally would've.I know that I should've called the salon sooner, but I was trying to be okay with the cut (and life is busy with two little kids and getting ready to have a baby in a couple weeks). However, as I realized I usually put my hair up because of the way the cut looked, I called 2.5 weeks later to ask if it would be possible to come back to have them help fix it. They said there was nothing they could do unless I wanted to schedule another full price hair cut.I understand they have policies in place, but due to them rushing a $60 haircut and not being willing to help fix it at all, I would be very hesitant to recommend Fusion. Based on my first experience, you might love it. But if you go and are hesitant with the cut, make sure to call right away :)Service:Haircut

Rachel Easterly: I've been getting my hair done by Taylor at Fusion for nearly two years now and I ALWAYS leave so happy! She is easy going and always listens to what you are looking for when it comes to cut/color + will make sure you love it before you leave. Overall, it seems that the stylists who work here are professional, friendly and very talented. When I chose to try Fusion I expected that on Wealthy it would be very pricey and there wouldn't be much parking but it's very reasonably priced and normally there are always spots out front to park. If you're looking to switch up your salon try Fusion!

Lanee Reid: I’m new to the area and have been looking for a new stylist to do my hair. I made an appointment for a touch up bleach and tone. I showed the stylist at Echo a picture of my hair after a fresh bleach and tone with my previous stylist and asked for similar results. When I sat down in her chair after being rinsed, my roots were highlighter yellow and my ends were the way they were when I came in. Two completely different colors on my head. Had I not said that I wasn’t happy, she would have continued to blow dry my hair and send me on my way. After toning and rinsing a second time, there was little improvement, but at this point I was so embarrassed with my hair that all I wanted to do was go home. I have gotten my hair bleached and toned for years and I have never seen a job this bad. It’s sad because I did a lot of research on the best salons in Grand Rapids because I wanted to find a new, permanent place to go for my hair color. Echo was one of the top rated ones, however my hair says otherwise. I usually do not leave google reviews, but this experience was really disappointing. I know that blonde can be tricky sometimes, but Echos website bragged about how this stylist was a “blonde specialist”. With Echos great customer reviews, and their high regards for the stylist I booked with, I remember thinking, “this place will be perfect!” However, I was completely blindsided by my results. I paid $235 for something that looks like I did at home with box color. If I wasn’t on the verge of tears in a new place with unfamiliar people, I probably would have spoken to a manager or something. But all I could think about was fighting back tears long enough to make it to my car.Service:Hair coloring

Ann Hansen: I switched salons 2 or 3 years ago and could not be happier. This salon is the best ever! Absolutely excellent without being pompous in any way. Carissa has figured out my fine hair and my hairstyle is better than it has ever been. Abby is equally wonderful and I can easily go to either. Breanne is wonderful with special styling or haircuts, as well...and my daughter's favorite. The receptionists all make you feel welcomed, important, and appreciated! It is obvious that the stylists and receptionists ENJOY working at the salon and Jeffrey, himself, is warm and friendly, too. LOVE the non-tipping policy. I may never go anywhere else. Thank you all! Dave Duggan: I was very disappointed today at Jeffry Richard Salon. I received a call from the salon as I was enroute to my appointment that had been scheduled for well over a month. This call came one hour before my scheduled appointment time. Apparently the stylist that I had specifically scheduled with had a personal issue at the last minute and was not going to make the appointment. I was not happy with the casual manner that my options were explained to me. No, I was not interested in rescheduling with the stylist. Evan Upshur: I opted for the most affordable $30 men's cut twice, and they gave me low-experience stylists both times. My hair was uneven and the fade was bumpy both times from different stylists. Their service is great, and the owner was understanding of my experience. Nice place.

I was told I would receive a call back/confirmation for an appointment that was open and they never called me back to confirm that I was on. They then called me back later that day saying I missed my appointment? I clarified it later as why I didn't show up, because THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK TO CONFIRM. Like are you serious?Recently I cancelled an appointment, and was charged anyways because I didn't give them 24 hours notice, I was never told about this policy. But now I know? Lizzette Roman: Just HORRIBLE, I went home and cried, there were many factors on why I won’t recommend anyone to this salon.1. I could not find the salon inside the building, I’m calling the front desk for directions no one is answering, I flag down a maintenance man to help he was very kind. Says it happens “Often” eh, they may be super busy.2. I found it, receptionist is on her phone ignoring the actual phone ringing, no one is in the room but her, ok maybe she doesn’t do phones.3. I am greeted, offered a drink then told my stylist isn’t there yet, that’s alright I’ll wait.4. Arrives 20 minutes later walks past.5. Tells me to come sit in her chair. Now, she did not out right say she did not want work on me but I think it doesn’t take much to see when someone doesn’t want to do something. She then takes my hair out of my ponytail, brushes it out and and coldly asks what I’m there for. I wanted a full highlight and haircut. THIS GIRL TELLS ME THAT ITS GOING TO BE $400.00 starting and $50 per bowl if it isn’t enough not including the haircut!?! It’s way over my budget for one and two it got to the point where I was desperate to feel better about myself I was going to have her just chop it off shoulder length to make it workable, at the time it was center of my back. Anyway, I asked for the haircut instead but after she left me there with poofy hair I thought it wasn’t worth compromising my hair to get something done after feeling like I wasn’t welcomed in the first place. I said forget it and walked out with brushed out poofy hair feeling like a complete idiot :”) It was a waste of time all in all. Maybe was my fault for not doing the proper research into them, or they only cater to certain clientele , or each stylist had their own price range, fine. I’m trying to find a reason why. State that when people are scheduling appointments I don’t know really how could I known when I couldn’t even get through on the phone for directions.

The color and style came out perfect and Reba is personable and engaging. My oldest had their first salon cut with her and didn't realize there could be such a thing as a good cut experience. She was treated respectfully and with affirmation, Reba provided tips for using styling tools and offered personal instruction if she ever wanted help with how to style and care for her hair. My youngest just got a refresh of their cut and went bright blue! They love it!There is usually plenty of parking, the interior is open, beautiful, and relaxing. Highly recommend.
