Vanden Brink Sweet Smoked Honey Ham: what do users think?
Luis Corona: Simple classic home made sandwich with a root beer and some honey sticks. Great service and food for an affordable price. Highly recommend for an amazing lunch. Since 1932 still keeping the American lunch alive.
lindsey johnson: Local Grand Rapids business that has been operating for 20+ years. The owner is a true testament to the Westside community, and continues to service the area with fresh meat and hospitality. I highly recommend supporting this local business that has continued to supply not only fresh, but high quality meats. #LiveGR
Diane Lipski: Great meat choices! Family run and has-been a staple of the west side. Covid has been rough for all small businesses. The pizza shop closed, just up the road. Visit and keep small businesses around.
Confederate Kid: Great hams and jerky
Dan Van Til: Wow! I'm glad I stopped in on a whim. I got a sandwich lunch ($7.50). Included a well crafted sandwich, bag of chips, and a soda. The smoke on the ham was excellent. The wholewheat bun is fantastic and the lettuce and tomato were fresh. I also got a slab of their beef jerky....awesome!!
Pure Deviance: Greatness
Amahri: My second year grabbing a ham. The staff is so nice and helpful and the bacon is amazing. Also they have these lunch sandwiches that are spot on.
Ellie Wierenga: This is my first time going to vandenbrink's and I was really impressed the owner was there behind the counter serving customers .we ordered a ham with glaze for Thanksgiving. It looks amazing. We haven't tried it yet.
Tessa Schulz: Great brats and great service. A perfect west side staple!
Nikki Wald: Absolutely love this place! Very good food! Fresh ingredients! Great prices! The owner is very friendly. They are open during the day, so great lunch time option if your on the nw side!
Nina Rolston: Stopped her for a boxed turkey lunch. It was amazing. Haven't had a deli sandwich that good in a long time. I will be back.
vera ducham: Only thing that has changed is the price. It's now $6 lunch box but still great price.. Still the same great ham. Yummy.
Michael W: GREAT FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS AND INCREDIBLE HAM AND BACON!
Bill Ribbens: Wonderful variety of tasty meat offered with warm hospitality by friendly helpful staff.
Joseph Lucas: Everything I have ever had from this place is amazing and mouthwatering
Gary Annable: Awesome, like the terminator said I'll be back, can't wait to make bean soup with leftover.
Greg Scholten: All things ham. They have the original ham loaf.
Jeff Lednicky: Hands Down Best Bacon in town. The rich Smoked flavored bacon is a party in your mouth. Ham and Turkey also superb. Pay them a visit. 23 year customer you can't go wrong!!
Brenda Ruder: Great supply of meats
James VanderWoude: This is the only ham that we allow in our lives. The right amount of flavor and smoke. A very enjoyable product. Oh and the folks are helpful and courteous.

Leyen & Son Meats: what do users think?
Bradley Bosscher: I stumbled in by chance, and what an amazing discovery. They have cool house made sausages/wurst. They do some fun stuff here. Good value purchasing for bulk items too.
Tom Sterken: They are very helpful
FG Eclipse: Been in the area for a long time, never tried this place. Their hot sticks are probably the best i've ever had. Will be back for more.
Jim Newland: Where to begin....stumbled across this gem this weekend and can't say enough about them. We got brats, chicken, terayaki beef sticks and chorizo. The chicken is still in the freezer, but we've sampled everything else and it's flat out superb. Service was great too. This is an old time butcher shop guys and I'll gladly drive from the Cedar Springs area where we live to support them. To be fair, we still love Frank's Market but Leyen & Son are more affordable frankly. That always matters too of course.
Shocker E: Mark is fantastic! We’ve been dropping pigs off to him for a few years now and have never been disappointed. Very informative and helpful. Also his selection of snack sticks in the store front are 2nd to none, absolutely amazing. Always a pleasure to support this great butcher shop!
Verlin Stapleton: Great place ! Friendly and helpful.Steaks are awesome!Check it out and buy local #awesome #supportlocalmarkets
Jason Radmacher: Literally worth the drive from anywhere! The team at Leyen & Sons has become our go-to place for every kind of meat. The quality of beef, pork and chicken has always been far better than the chain grocers, and the sausage blends have become amazing -- as good or better than all the old Polish places we loved so dearly on the West Side. Great people, wonderful service, and a great story of a long-time family butcher shop -- a Grand Rapids staple! A++ (Now we just have to talk them into making some kiszka/gritzwurst!)
Charles Stabler: So thankful I found Leyen & Son meats. A deer was hit in front of my house. I field dressed the deer, but wasn't sure where to take it. I found out Leyen and Sons process deer. They made ground venison, left the backstraps whole the way I requested. I had a hind quarter brined and smoked. So good! Then I took some of the ground meat back to make German wieners. Also amazing. This place does quality work and very reliable. Thank you Leyen & Son!
Jarred Sylvester: This place is my weekly stop for meat products. Mark and his family are great people. Always gotta get my chicken fix!
Nick Golcyzynski: The quality of meat is excellent i would recommend this place to everyone!!!!!!!
Blair Mongeon: One of the best meat markets in town. Quality and price are great, and the family that owns it are very nice. Always a good experience going in.
Lauren Vermilye: Such great product! Once you buy steak from them, you'll be spoiled for all fancy steakhouses. Also fantastic deer processing.
Nicholas Rodriguez: The 1 positive I have to add say is their baked beans are great and will probably keep me going there on occasion. The problems I have is that their meats are mostly frozen. Very little options as far as fresh meats go. The prices seemed okay but bad compared to ralphs down the road. I went for sausage and all except the country sausage was frozen. Ralphs has fresh sausage for cheaper. So does Meijer. I haven't actually thawed the meat to try it yet. Maybe I'll add a star if it's completely amazing beyond expectation. But I really would like fresh meat from a meat shop. The last big gripe is that they don't take a bridge card. They are in an area where a good percentage of people would benefit from them taking it. And maybe if they took it they could sell enough meat to not have to freeze it? If every liquor store in the state can figure out how to take ebt then I'm sure you could too if you really care to. I'll be back for the beans but that's probably the only thing I can really afford to splurge on.
Christy Clark: Always very friendly and informative. Quality is great and prices are fair.
Jacob Yeo: Have been coming here ever since Levandowskis on Walker changed their Kielbasa recipe. Great selection here as well! Definitely would recommend!
Myk Reenders: This is probably one of the best butchers I've ever been too!!! Everyone you talk to there is extremely nice, but if you get talking with Mark (the owner) you will leave with a smile. He is just a genuine man. Plus the meat there is great! For a great price. Supplying meat for the people!
AllFact fff: so i dropped off a pretty good size buck 3 days ago and i just picked it up, and my god there was a ton of meat...im very impressed and happy with the cuts and the burger. defiantly only using these guys now on. oh and the roast's are crazy huge and nicely cut to. cant wait to slow cook one in the crock pot...well done Leyen & Son meats, well done
Nick Ilbrink: Thankful that you guys process deer quickly. Not very satisfied with the fact that my taxidermist called me saying the legs were caped out wrong and that the cape was starting to turn green, meaning it was going bad already. The buck was shot and brought straight there due to the warm temps. Probably won't bring anymore bucks there in the future.
Robert Breyer: Fantastic local butcher who had a cut of meat I needed quickly.
Lisa Bredeweg: Clean friendly awesome meat sticks
Valerie Grant: We were excited to find out that Pam an Adrian we're working here, the food is great in this place. Make sure you stop you will not regret it

Frank's Market: what do users think?
Esw: I live in Holland but have a buddy that grabs me the hot shots and I cant stop eating these addictive things..
Jackie Valentine: Neat and clean not overpriced as other market, get your money's worth. Thanks
Katherine Frankenberg-Sterling: This market came up on Google while searching for Polish Deli / Market, have no idea why. Aside from few polish products like sauerkraut and pickles (none of them made locally, like barrel kraut or pickles), and double smoked kiełbasa, there’s nothing Polish about it. Little disappointing, considering I drove all the way from Holland to get some polish products. Next time I’ll try Lewandowski’s.
Kraig Roberts: Excellent service. Awesome products. Clean and professional
Carmen Beddows: We bought a cured smoked ham from Frank's for our Christmas dinner and it turned out to be the best ham we've ever had.We will never buy a different ham again
Dawn Wieck: As always, the best staff, even with the flux of Christmas + Blizzard shopping. Great job. Thanks!
Dan Judson: Very friendly. Great meats, good prices… great place to shop on the westside
Allen Kramer: This shop practices the oldest butcher scam around, After recently purchasing several smoked pork chops you could tell they where injected with liquid to make them weigh more. I squeezed close to 3 ounces of liquid out of each of them.
Brutally Honest: Great employees ...Great service best Kabasa on the west side.
James White: Great products and great service.
Emily Hoyle: Smells amazing inside. Best meat market and polish foods. Friendliest service and very helpful
Jill Babcock: Delicious as always
Larry Corser: Amazing butchers, always have new items every week. Tons of other items to help your meal plan.
Missy Nat: Very clean, nice to me and did not feel akward..
Jim Dorsey: Great selection and wonderful service.
Gus Gunderson III: First visit and I will surely be back for more. There's a bunch of stuff in there from Delmonico steaks to frozen pierogi. I got a bunch of different products from their deli subs, to some porterhouse steaks, to the German weiners and hot shots. I couldn't wait to get back to the truck, untwist the tie and chomp into some good weiners. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful in picking out whatever I wanted. The store is amazing and clean. It's a small building, but easy parking and ever a nice ramp for those who hate stairs. Ohhh and I visited on a holiday weekend, store was very well stocked and the employees were keeping up with demand.
edward holman: Good meats. Great smell
Deborah Golczynski: Best meat, the best employees and a nice big beautiful store! Did you also know that the store is handicap accessible? There is even a ramp if you use a wheelchair or walker!
Daniel Christensen Sr: Excellent as always 😊
PunkRock101: Wanted to try out franks for awhile now and glad that we did. Got some BBQ jerkey some cheddar hot shots and a pound of bacon. Haven't tried the bacon yet but if it's as good as the jerkey and hot shots I'm definitely excited. The staff was very friendly and ready to help. Will definitely be returning.
Madalyn Crawford: Absolutely amazing jerky and beef sticks. The meat all looked so fresh! Customer service was top notch and the store was clean and tidy! Will be returning and will probably be a regular. Support small business 💜
