Mother and son cooking: No good store the price of this store to much higher people not work not high income the Indian market charge to much double charge the tea price usually 6.99but they charge 14.99 and the wheet flower oh my good too much I don’t know how people servive this time and this store price very very high very bad

Jason: Not sure I’ll be shopping here again. The lady in the front is really nice & helpful, but unfortunately a number of products are expired (6months+ expired). I gave them a number of passes on some expired good because I like to support local ethnic shops. Recently I tried to return one product, but they make returning products difficult without a receipt. They have the ability to look up the product on their system, but still deny returns even if their product has fungus growing on it.I wish them the best, but will not be shopping here again.

David Wygmans: Their sign says they open at 11 (really?!😖). I waited until 5 after, and there was no sign of opening. I had to get going. I called them to make sure they had coconut extract, and they assured me that they do, so I sent my wife. But they couldn't find it. Two wasted trips! Grrrrr!

Compared to Spice of India (the other Indian grocery store) this store is definitely better. Better staff. They make time to sort out their expired items and put them on clearance and actually let you know. They put out fresh items as soon as they get delivered. 100% recommend coming here :) #supportlocalbusinesses

Jenni Aiello: Every type of Lentil you can imagine. The store can be overwhelming for a typical white girl that's unfamiliar with many of their products. Make sure you have plenty of time to browse.
Tom Heetderks: I was happy to find a well stocked store in G.R, that said it was overwhelming in the selections, and as others mentioned virtually nothing is priced on product or shelf. I don't know if this is a cultural thing, but I never felt so unwelcomed in a grocery store. Maybe everyone is just really serious, and I confused it with uncaring. Several employees were present, it was not busy at all and yet no one asked if needed help ( I was there for over 30 minutes, it was fascinating to check out all the products). Eventually I rather apologetically asked the lady at the counter for help with pricing on different sized spices, so I don't overbuy and end up with stale spice. She did oblige, so that was nice. I then set all the stuff on the register counter and hoped I could afford it. I said thanks, but no response after paying. I will not return again, there has to be a better option in G.R Mediterranean island on 44th also has some Indian items, FYI

Serene Simran: A lot of the products sold are expired, I accidentally bought something expired yesterday and now they won’t take returns or exchanges. Waste of money. No labels on the products throughout the store so you will be surprised at your bill at checkout.
Jaliya Samarakoon: We used to go to this store from Kalamazoo since they have a variety of items. But recently, they have increased all of the prices. Most of the items' price stickers on the shelves have been removed, so most of the time you'll be surprised once you check out the items.When we compared prices with other stores, even in Kalamazoo Indian stores, I noticed that the price at Spice of India was always higher.Not a good place to do shopping.

Milan Khatiwada: I went to buy 2pm Akabare noodles and there is no expiry date and they are selling noodles that expired 5 months ago dated Sep 22. I bought Lapsi ko achar and that one is also expired. Called in the store 5 times but they never answered the call. Stop scamming people selling expired products.
Madhumita Gaat: The staff members are constantly distracted and unwilling to help customers out. Most of them have their heads buried in their phones. They hardly ever show any kind of enthusiasm in terms of greeting the customers and have a generally unfriendly and condescending attitude. The store has a decent variety of Indian and Nepali grocery item brands, but not well-organized, so it gets tough to locate the items I really need without assistance. I will not be going here again.

Laura Chittenden: This store is run by a kind Burmese man who speaks English somewhat well but not proficiently. The shop has a really great selection -- more than other stores.
ken skinner: I am half asian and moved to the east side of Michigan recently. Near Detroit there are lots of great asian markets. This one is almost great but lacks one critical item. I could not find any curry paste. To me that is a must have for any asian store. If you are not southern asian then this store will probably be great for you.
