Celebrating LYS Day was a lot of fun, I was welcomed by the friendly staff including a hug from the owner Becca and it was exciting to see so many people supporting the debut of her new pattern Tiny Textures!
Ellen Schendel: Love to visit this shop, which has so many yarn options (texture, brand, weight, color) and oodles of finished projects to give you an idea of how the various fibers knit up. Threadbender offers creative classes, friendly service, fun events, and gorgeous original patterns & hand-dyed yarns. A definite “must visit” if in the Grand Rapids area!
Sara Rapp: While I’ve only been in the shop a handful of times.. Two maybe, some beautiful yarn caught my eye back in March. I’m originally from the north side of town but I live on a military base in another state so finding really, REALLY good local yarn shops is few and far between. I was able to make an order online and they shipped fast. While I would have loved to shop in-store, I was surprised they shipped!! Very friendly service and I hope to actually visit the store when I come back home in the Fall!!

Sanktuary 22: They weren't lying that this store is very busy for LYS! The store is very small and becomes virtually miniscule when there's so many people in there. Chaotic and un-fun - two words that describe threadbender. Not my cuppa.
Gladys Dodger: Love this shop. Excellent selection of yarn and a great shop if you weave.

Brittany foxsinsox: Today was my first time visiting here, and I was blown away with how friendly and eager to help the staff was! She went above and beyond to answer my questions, help me find what I was looking for, and even offered to help teach me! This store felt like a home, and I just can't say enough how warm, inviting, and special they made my visit. I wish I was always surrounded with that atmosphere. 💗 I enjoyed the selection of yarn and found what I needed. Though I am an avid crocheter, I was a little hesitant with what I would need as I am about to begin a new type of crochet project for me, and now, I can't wait to get started with my beautiful new Nazli Gelin crochet thread!

I'm not a weaver but this store seems to be great for knitters.ceochwrers, weavers, and spinners. Fills all your fiber needs. Also bought a lovely locally made handcream. Staff was helpful, friendly, chatty but not intrusive. Wonderful experience!

I asked for a piece of 8ft long black fabric and I got in and out within 5 minutes. I mean hey, dropping by a store late has its own perks I guess.

Zoey was so very helpful to point to a section of 200 fabrics and say it's over there and not actually show us where the product we needed was. Very disappointed I'd rather go to fields fabric.
Elisa: First time in this location, TONS of fabrics and crafting papers and good signage throughout the store. Employees who were working through our the store were not very kind but the tall skinny brunette working the counter was very sweet. DO NOT use the bathrooms here!!!!! I could not believe how dirty the bathroom was! I can certainly understand being busy and short staffed but there was dark thick dust on the toilet seat covers container, the stall doors, dirt all over the floors and walls. I would have felt more comfortable in a gas station bathroom in all honesty! Besides that if you need fabric and no potty breaks this is your place!

Samantha Hendrian: Love Joann's. But the last handful of time I've been to this particular location sale signage has been a mess. I frequently plan my purchases around what I can use coupons on, and it's frustrating to find an item that doesn't appear to be on sale only to get to the register to find out that it IS and I can't use the coupon on it.

When my grandmother wasn't feeling well and needed to sit, they even let her do that. Katrina Albert: I stopped in for the Christmas Open House. I was hoping to find some gorgeous yarn and potentially new friends as this was a social event.I found some beautiful yarn! The social part was a dud though. Not only was I basically ignored, except to be asked the standard "can I help you find something?" with no enthusiasm but I was never invited to join in the festivities. The folks who were enjoying the goings-on were clearly friends of the owner and/or regulars and wanted nothing to do with me. How's that for holiday spirit for a Christmas Open house?As far as the merchandise, there was a large variety of weights and fibers but the colors were lacking, picked over looking. It was very cluttered and overwhelming.I doubt I'll be going back.
Sandra Bukoski: This place looks like a small little shop from outside but once you walk in it is loaded with an amazing variety of wonderful yarn and patterns. Probably the best part is Henny herself. She is a very talented and knowledgeable lady, always with a smile and ready to help. It’s probably a good thing it is an hour drive for me or in would be there most of the time. Don’t miss it.

Leigha Bell: I stopped here today for the West Michigan Yarn Quest 2021. This is a great store. Henny is very friendly and so helpful. She gave me some great advice and encouragement to tackle my first sweater. They have a great variety of yarns and even some locally dyed yarn. (I picked up some 😀) This shop is a must visit! You won't be disappointed!

person I guess: Ok so the ladies who work there are super nice, and they wont see you come in and immediately bombard you, so you can look around and chill for as long as you need. However, if you ask them for help, they will do everything in their power to make sure you get what you want. Also, they have so much beautiful yarn from a lot of brands, as well as local ones. And everything is presented in a beautiful and neat way. Overall, this place is so fun to shop at, and I'm in love with the selection of tools and super kind staff:)
