My lawn was damaged by the mowers and when I reached staff in office they were helpless too . I used them for one season only and would not try again ever .

I received a card in the mail and received a very reasonable quote for year round service. I found the Summer lawn and Fall cleanup service to always be ABOVE & BEYOND quality. They always go the EXTRA MILE and treat my yard as they would want their own lawn to appear. This is my second year of snow plow service and they also go ABOVE & BEYOND to clean the driveway as they would their own. I am VERY HAPPY with Alfresco Landscapes! Kym Steffes: We hired Alfresco Landscapes to take an over grown rock garden with dying pine trees. They came in and drew up a plan for a new look. They changed the topography with a bulldozer. Brought in some beautiful pines that we choose as well as a very beautiful Japanese Weeping Maple tree. Selected the most beautiful perennials. They brought in beautiful Michigan Boulders. Our other home had amazing deck surrounded by perennials, a large shade tree and so much!We found UPlant Landscape at the home and garden show and that was a blessing! Sandy came to our home, listened to what we hoped to achieve, took pics and shortly after sent email with a detailed planting list and pictures of the vision, all detailed with type of tree/bush. It was amazing ! I spent needless time, energy, and cash on plants that did not work for the soil conditions and sun/shade requirements. Sandy to the rescue. She developed a realistic plan, complete with a mix of plants and foliage that gives interest all year long AND discourages the local deer herd from nibbling my new plants. Juanita Westaby: I’ve thought long and hard about posting a negative review, because I usually don’t post reviews for anything, let alone negative ones. I feel a real duty to warn here, however. We are fairly experienced gardeners but we turned to Sandy because we have a tough situation with sandy soil and pretty heavy shade around our patio. We wanted something to lend a nice backdrop, something natural-looking. We felt we weren’t listened to, and what was suggested was too formal for what we wanted. We sent pictures suggesting what we liked hoping for a better result, but it was not to be. Sandy uses a simple cut-and-paste graphic computer application that really can’t “design” anything. We expressed our concerns, she made a change that really didn’t address our desires. She then began pressing us for payment before she would release the plant list. We thought, well at least we’ll get some good suggestions and we can make a more natural garden. I looked at her list after my credit card was charged and it was full of plants that we have tried that have failed! If she had taken the time to ask what we’ve done over the last 30 years she would have known this.The other half of the list were things we already have that we’re sick of. I’m so sad about this. She seems like a nice lady, but she is not a landscape gardener by any means. I’m out $195 I could have put toward toward a different professional. I can afford it, I guess, but if money is really tight for you, please save for a couple of more years and go with someone with more expertise.

We contacted Schafer Landscaping and AJ came out within a couple of days to discuss the creation of a natural screen/wall of arbor vitae with us. He was also willing to do some re-mulching of a large garden bed, as well as removal of some unwanted foliage. He kept in frequent contact with us as our project date crept closer, and throughout the actual design and landscaping he was in constant contact. He was worth the wait, ended up being a 2 day job (instead of 1) and he took the time to remove unneeded sand and haul & add the proper drainage underneath. I walk down the hand chiseled pathway to the uniquely colorful stones used to create a wall that is reinforcing our embankment. The path takes me past an assortment of lush green bushes,with splashes of vibrant and colorful flowers and plants..entwined among eye catching boulders and stones. I must mention my stunning Green Lace Japanese Maple that A.J found for us..which is the focal point of my Amazing dry creek bed! We have an assortment of really pretty and functional plants to help stop the erosion on our creek embankment, and some produce berry's that our many birds will enjoy for years to come. We had A.J build a new retaining wall for us, that will also last for years to come. lol..I have a really nice Dogwood tree and a couple of very striking boulders in that section. A.J pruned our old Apple tree and I swear it brought the old girl back to life!! He also went above and beyond to accommodate any requests we asked of him. And for the finishing touch he laid down black mulch, which makes our backyard "pop " !! I could not have a bad day sitting out here if I tried! I cannot say enough about the phenomenal job A.J has done!! He kept in constant touch with us every step of the way, which we really appreciated. He listened to our thoughts and ideas, and like the true Artist he is..made them come to life! So,as I sit here listening to the relaxing sounds of nature..watching my beautiful flowers and plants swaying as a gentle breeze blows across the creek..I say..Thank You A.J, for creating our very own Heaven on Earth!!
