Emory Eddy: We’ve had one ok experience here, but this time was stressful and frustrating. Many of the washers had “out of order” so it was hard getting into the few that were open (we were there at a busy time on Sunday afternoon). We put a big load into a commercial washer that didn’t really end up working. Plus the countdown timer on it didn’t work, and we thought our clothes were going to be locked in the washer (they were for quite a while). We called the number they have posted for issues, and it sent us to a voicemail box that was very unhelpful.Finally it did end up unlocking, but most of our clothes weren’t clean.From talking with others who regularly use this laundry mat, they said they’ve never received refunds when they’ve experienced a broken washer either.Needless to say, I don’t think we’ll be back.

Angelica Jackson: No good. Washing machines stop and spin slow so you have to remove clothes dripping wet. Attendent started another washing machine took another 30 min of my time. Same goes for dryers, they stop in the middle of the session so attendant started some other dryers so I could finish my laundry. An old man had to remove a dripping wet bed sheet from the washing machine that stopped working and took it home he said he had a friend with a good working machine that would dry it.

Kelly Harris: 1 issues to share of many.... But the main one is.... I had a washer error over and over and lock my load of clothes in the machine. Left a note on the machine and in the drop box reporting the issue. Says someone comes daily to maintenance the appliances. That's a lie. My stuff was still locked in that washer over 3 weeks. No number to call. No workers ever there. So I go in again to check a month later and they are now gone out of the washer. No idea where my belongings are at. No communication from anyone.

Jim Davidson: Not sure why owners of laundry mats always seem to run them with no personell. No one to react to full waste baskets, broken machines, or personal security issues. It seems like having an investment in these machines would be enough reason to want to keep an eye on them. The pictures of this place prove it. Everything broken. Everything filthy.As a disabled adult, I usually sit in my vehicle while waiting for my clothes to be done. An unattended business has no security, and some of the folks I've had the misfortune of running into here act like they got out of prison THAT MORNING.

Grand Rapids everything shuts down early I can't stand that. And now since covid I don't even know if there's any restaurants that are 24 hours Meijers is definitely not 24 hours and I don't think they plan on ever being 24 hours again they lost too much money being open 24/7. I guess with all the alcohol theft.. and I think the bus is only run until 10:15 on Saturday nights I think it's like 9:00 Sundays at 6:00 I don't ride the bus but if I needed to I wished it would be available when I needed it

Eat Shit: After years of washing my laundry here-- and many mixups later--I've found that a lot of other people's clothes somehow get mixed in with mine, and as laundry day draws closer I'm down to thongs and boy shorts. I haven't ever bought a single pair of either! I'm also a man!However, I've begun to enjoy seeing my drawer empty of my own underwear. I've found it thrilling to slowly slide a complete stranger's thong on and wear it throughout the day as I work. The boy shorts make my butt look bigger... more bubbly.Thanks to Michigan Street Laundry, I've found my true passion is cross dressing. Since wearing the thongs I've begun to feel more comfortable with who I am, and have entered multiple drag queen competitions. It is well lit when it is dark outside and unlike other laundromats is not open super late so you don't have to worry about anyone loittering around the laundromat.

Brenda Rich: This place is cool if you don't want to be around a lot of people but the prices are high there is no public restroom or running water and when a washer malfunctions and keeps your money you have to leave a note but there isn't a designated spot to put the note. and it's very small and very hot . Now wash king Knapp and fuller is a decent place it has a bathroom its next to Walgreens and they have $1 washers and it's huge and it's all windows I prefer the latter personally.

Tori “TORIVICTORY”: I have posted reviews for this Laundromat before but WOW HAS THIS PLACE GONE DOWNHILL!!!! Some background: my car is broke down so I have to find a sitter and borrow a car to do laundry and I go here because it's literally right by my house. To start with The ATM was out of order, BOTH change machines were out of order so I had to go to the liquor store down the street use their ATM and thankfully they took pity on me and let me buy rolls of quarters from them.Then I go back into the laundromat and a woman doing laundry informed me 3 out of the 4 large capacity washers are not working. So I loaded the one that was "in working order" and out my change in. However when I pressed "Whites" it flashed $5.00 over and over so basically it stole $5.00 from me.So I switch to the front loaders (which have gone up to $1.50/load which is the HIGHEST I've seen at any Laundromat around Grand Rapids. Out of the 4 I used, 2 of them ripped me off 0.50 each AND I had to hand wring my clothes out because the spin cycle either never kicked in or did nothing.Thankfully the woman and the man doing laundry there as well advised me to only out 1 quarter in a dryer at a time because half of them just blow cold air. Which is what I did with the dryers until I found 4 working ones.I have no idea what happen to this place but it was bad enough that they do not have a public restroom (even though they have a sound system) but after ALL of these issues I will not be returning unless some major changes are done and I have been doing my laundry here for 5+ years but never again!!

Lisa: Washers were operational but some of the dryers didn't latch closed and one didn't have heat (bottom, far left I believe). There is no bathroom and none of the businesses nearby have a public restroom. The seating could use a steam clean as well.

They don’t produce heat but do spin, so if you want to waste 4x the cash and time on waiting for cold air to dry your clothes, this is the place for you. Otherwise, Don’t bother with this place, you’ll be better off at literally any other laundromat in the city.

She treats everyone with courtesy and dignity, no matter who they are. I have gone here for over 28 years, twice a week.

She even went through the trash and pulled out the (mostly) empty laundry soap containers I had thrown away and took them, and put them upside down (as if to drain) I'm not sure what she was using them for, but it just seemed very trashy. She also walked circles around where I was doing my laundry in a way that made my daughter very uncomfortable. Will not go back, and do not recommend.

Cathe DeLaney: WOW! What a BEAUTIFUL and WELL RUN Laundromat! Still takes Quarters! I was greeted by an intendant who directed me to the right machine for the amount of laundry I had. I forgot my soap, he went in the back room and provided me with some. I went to lunch across the street to Florentine’s for lunch, and when I came back, the attendant had already put my clothes in a dryer, and they were dry and ready to fold and take home! I brought him a pizza from Florentine’s who he was sharing with other patrons! I will NEVER go back to Sheldon’s again!

Em Burke: Washer ate multiple quarters with no refund. Dryers are annoying. You have to pay $1.75 upfront and there is no way to just add a quarter later to continue the cycle. My clothes were still wet and I was out multiple quarters from the dryer as well. Put in a couple quarters while it was still drying and it just dropped the price down to $1.25 instead of adding more drying time. $1.75 for only 20 minutes to dry. I miss being able to add 25 cents for 8 minutes like at other laundromats.

He personally came out and helped me bring my laundry baskets in when he saw me unloading them and helped me set up my first washer. He was very helpful when I called to inquire if the laundry mat was coin operated, and they have an ATM right next to the coin exchange machine. I highly recommend!

Joy Joy: Absolutely ridiculous that I was forbidden to dry my clothes because they were already washed. My dryer is broken, not my washer! To be confronted like a criminal and rudely told “you can’t just dry clothes here.” Gladly took my business to Kentwood Laundromat. Clothes dried and on my way in less than 60 minutes. Treat your customers with more respect. Why does it matter if I only need to dry my clothing? It’s till revenue for your business that you have now lost. I will never frequent your facilities again.

William Caldwell: !! Update!! This place used to have AC in the summer and they still have the machines but don't run them now. I'm sure it's to save money but there are two fans! That's It! The workers won't let you open a door for ventilation either because then they will have to sweep the floor. How are you supposed to fold hot clothes in a room as hot as an oven??!! Be prepared to sweat it out in the summer or go elsewhere!!!Good machines and new dryers. The prices are a little cheaper than other laundromats. They really cleaned up the place since quarantine and they removed chairs but added tables to fold. The new setup is nice and feels much cleaner and warmer than before. They offer drop off/pick up laundry too in case you don't want to take the risk inside. Good hours, location, and prices.
