Emory Eddy: We’ve had one ok experience here, but this time was stressful and frustrating. Many of the washers had “out of order” so it was hard getting into the few that were open (we were there at a busy time on Sunday afternoon). We put a big load into a commercial washer that didn’t really end up working. Plus the countdown timer on it didn’t work, and we thought our clothes were going to be locked in the washer (they were for quite a while). We called the number they have posted for issues, and it sent us to a voicemail box that was very unhelpful.Finally it did end up unlocking, but most of our clothes weren’t clean.From talking with others who regularly use this laundry mat, they said they’ve never received refunds when they’ve experienced a broken washer either.Needless to say, I don’t think we’ll be back.

Angelica Jackson: No good. Washing machines stop and spin slow so you have to remove clothes dripping wet. Attendent started another washing machine took another 30 min of my time. Same goes for dryers, they stop in the middle of the session so attendant started some other dryers so I could finish my laundry. An old man had to remove a dripping wet bed sheet from the washing machine that stopped working and took it home he said he had a friend with a good working machine that would dry it.

Kelly Harris: 1 issues to share of many.... But the main one is.... I had a washer error over and over and lock my load of clothes in the machine. Left a note on the machine and in the drop box reporting the issue. Says someone comes daily to maintenance the appliances. That's a lie. My stuff was still locked in that washer over 3 weeks. No number to call. No workers ever there. So I go in again to check a month later and they are now gone out of the washer. No idea where my belongings are at. No communication from anyone.

Jim Davidson: Not sure why owners of laundry mats always seem to run them with no personell. No one to react to full waste baskets, broken machines, or personal security issues. It seems like having an investment in these machines would be enough reason to want to keep an eye on them. The pictures of this place prove it. Everything broken. Everything filthy.As a disabled adult, I usually sit in my vehicle while waiting for my clothes to be done. An unattended business has no security, and some of the folks I've had the misfortune of running into here act like they got out of prison THAT MORNING.

Brenda Rich: Dryer went out so I had to take the laundry to The Wash King and I've been there before I like that place and they're open 24 hours which is awesome anything that's open 24 hours God bless their heart cuz I hate it when the town shuts down like on Sundays. Grand Rapids everything shuts down early I can't stand that. And now since covid I don't even know if there's any restaurants that are 24 hours Meijers is definitely not 24 hours and I don't think they plan on ever being 24 hours again they lost too much money being open 24/7. I guess with all the alcohol theft.. and I think the bus is only run until 10:15 on Saturday nights I think it's like 9:00 Sundays at 6:00 I don't ride the bus but if I needed to I wished it would be available when I needed it

Timothy Spaulding: I had 2 different situations that upset me. The first issue was that someone had left a plastic buckle in a dryer that melted onto my clothes. I was baffled by numerous black clumps on my clothes. I looked inside and saw a broken buckle caught on dryer tumbler.The lady wasn’t helpful or understanding. I felt like she should’ve at least offered 1-2 free loads to try and remove plastic spots.The 2nd was that I had 2 small loads that got washed but I didn’t have enough credits on card to dry and wasn’t able to reload bc office had closed. Daybreak is supposed to be open til 6:30 but when I called to see if I could just use dryer at 5:45 for 30min she said no. Poor customer service all the way around. It also flood often bc pipes get backed up.

Ryan: I brought a brand new comforter to them to be washed because it wouldn’t fit in my washer. When I went to pick it up, the employee (can’t remember her name unfortunately) told me there were some issues with how it came out. Unfortunately a newer employee left it in the dryer too long and it ruined the comforter. The employee I was talking to was also newer and she had great customer service. She was super apologetic and took down my info the let the manager know right away. I was told the manager Erin would reach out. Erin called the same day and is issuing me a check for the amount of the comforter. I know things happen and I wish I didn’t have to go through this but I appreciate how promptly Erin responded and rectified the situation. I brought them a jersey a few months back and they did a great job at dry cleaning it.

Chell Newland: This is the only Laundromat I will go to. It is clean, the attendants are friendly, helpful and super nice. I have never met anyone who utilizes this facility who hasn't been nice/friendly or even who hasn't offered to help bring my clean laundry out to my car for me. It is well lit when it is dark outside and unlike other laundromats is not open super late so you don't have to worry about anyone loittering around the laundromat.

The bathroom is awful. I went to use the sink to wash my hands, not knowing that the drain pipe was missing until water came gushing out onto the floor. Everything is disgusting there. There has never been an attendant present whenever I've been there in the past. I will not be returning there any time soon that's for sure!! The only reason I ever went there was bc it was the only 24 hour laundromat in town. Sara Blackwood Sowe: It's an unattended laundromat so if you have issues you call the number. You usually will find many machines, washer and dryers that are out of order. No soap in the bathroom ever so bring wipes. Not that you would want to use the bathroom. It's a laundromat so typical of what you would expect. Tuesday and Thursday are 50% off washers. Dryers usually take about 30 minutes to get a full load to dry good.

William Caldwell: I really wish I could give this place more than 3 star's but I have been a few times and it doesn't get much better.It came be hard to tell which machines are in full working order and the machines are older and not regularly cleaned. The slot to add detergent and bleach is always covered in layers of detergent and mold that hasn't been cleaned. Most of the usable machines do the job advertised and will wash your clothes but don't expect spots to be gone or whites to get whiter since the machines are not 100% clean or in working order.As for the dryers they work well but for an average load of laundry it can take 30+ minutes but the machines are cheaper than other places in the city so it makes up for the lost time. The dryers are slightly more clean then the washers but seem to break down more or steal quarters from you much more frequently.The folding tables are also not kept clean, whiped down and there isn't very many of them.The vending machines do work but are not always full. The soda machine is almost always out of the main drinks and the snack machine normally has a good selection but most of the time is empty.The quarter machines work as expected. Unfortunately the bathroom is poorly kept and I avoid using it if needed.This place has great hours but no one there to maintain the place which is a huge mistake. It's very obvious that no one is there to clean up so there is always dust, dirt, trash, dryer sheets and more laying around all over the floor. And if it rains then there are shoe prints everywhere which doesn't make sense for a laundry mat.If they really want 5 stars they need a full time attendent, clean machines, clean floors, clean folding tables, and working vending machines.Sadly, nothing for kids here either so bring things for you kids or they will lose their minds.Overall, wash at your own risk.

Honestly the worst laundry matte I've ever used it doesn't even meet the lowest standards for a laundry matte.

Eat Shit: After years of washing my laundry here-- and many mixups later--I've found that a lot of other people's clothes somehow get mixed in with mine, and as laundry day draws closer I'm down to thongs and boy shorts. I haven't ever bought a single pair of either! I'm also a man!However, I've begun to enjoy seeing my drawer empty of my own underwear. I've found it thrilling to slowly slide a complete stranger's thong on and wear it throughout the day as I work. The boy shorts make my butt look bigger... more bubbly.Thanks to Michigan Street Laundry, I've found my true passion is cross dressing. Since wearing the thongs I've begun to feel more comfortable with who I am, and have entered multiple drag queen competitions. I haven't won, but the freedom I feel among those who feel like I do is something I've never experienced.I'd like to give a special shout out to Alex for encouraging me to explore my inner self; for helping free me of shame and guilt with compliments when I show him my new things.
