Dan Holmes: Solid, but unspectacular. This is a nice neighborhood bar if you're going to be a regular. It's definitely a dingy, dark, let's get loud type of bar.The food is about a 3 out of 5. The kitchen can be slow.Like a lot of dive neighborhood bars, the drinks are much too strong. More alcohol does not equal a good drink. Just make the drink the way it's supposed to be made.
Melaura Rice: Surprisingly great breakfast spot, the fresh bread and omelettes are to die for. Fantastic bloody Marys and cocktails as well! Chill spot to watch premier league soccer games and enjoy a drink. Shoutout to Lauren who was an awesome server as well :)
Teresa Demorest: Not your typical menu which is great for those who like different. I had never been there but people who took us had a love it. It's all a matter of taste. Not mine.

Kelly Brown: Edited Review! My husband and I dined here in April 2023 and I am OBSESSED with the menu right now. Pre-pandemic, this was a 4/5 for me. Now, it's 5/5 and I seriously can't wait to be back and eat more food. The salads, the apps/small plates, and the chickpea masala...so good! The drinks have always been amazing and they still are.
Tonino Michienzi: Great food, great atmosphere, great football. You may not agree with jersey choice of the person seated across from you, but you can both enjoy the passion of the beautiful game.
Mary Warren: All I can say is this Speakeasy has a full kitchen with chefs and a full bar. The food was excellent, great atmosphere and good service. In addition to several well crafted signature beverages. Their made from scratch tomato soup is the best I've ever eaten.

Amanda Hardy: Great food, great area, great experience. We come for weekend brunch and have never been disappointed. Love the atmosphere here and always surprised it's not busier. Love coming here and bringing friends from out of town is a guarantee win for the visit.
Michael Belligan: I had dinner (new menu just started!) and attended the “Science on Tap” event that they hold fairly regularly. The menu looked great and I LOVED my tofu bahn mi sandwich (vegan, but you can get it with pork). Don’t sleep on requesting a side of the homemade french onion dip for the chips that come with all handhelds! Add a few Prague Underground pilsners from City Built Brewing Co just down the street and it was a killer dinner! I’ll definitely be back! 🙌🏼

We also had some sort of goat cheese/ tomato appetizer, 10/10!We were a bit bummed that our waitress seemed to have forgotten about our table, and we waited about 15 minutes at the end, trying to get her attention. Finally, we just had to go up to the bar and ask for help.
Maddie Archer: This place does it all. One of the best brunch spots in GR but also a fantastic place for dinner and cocktails. Comfortable atmosphere with great menu items. Would recommend to anyone visiting Grand Rapids!
Joel Montgomery: I never leave reviews, but this was ridiculous.Waited over an hour for the food, granddaughters mac and cheese was cold, the grilled cheese with bacon had no bacon, and the world famous olive burger had NO OLIVES. Would not have complained if the waitress would've let us know up front or through out the hour that they only had one cook. Not going back, would not recommend.
s mulvaine: Great cocktails relaxed atmosphere for a place in GR. I've been many times and have never been disappointed. The service is great and even the simplest menu items like tomato soup and grilled cheese are so well prepared you will remember it. The menu changes but it is always versatile and inclusive with a few unique vegan options. I get something different every time and recommend this place to anyone that will listen.

CC: Good food and atmosphere. It’s got a cozy, dimly lit classic bar vibe. Definitely the spot for soccer games. The food can be a bit slow, so if you go during your lunch hour I’d recommend putting your order in quickly. The pit boss wrap is so good.Update: Unfortunately this place has done a major menu change, and not for the best. We’ve tried out the new menu twice now and were disappointed both times. Most recently we tried the sticky chicken sandwich… it was honestly the worst chicken sandwich we’ve ever had. Just downright gross. They’ve also scaled down the portions. Wont be back to this one.

Kylee McPheron: My husband and I decided to throw together a last minute NYE wedding this year. We had 2 and a half weeks to plan. I reached out to The Grand Woods Lounge to see if they could accommodate roughly 20 people for a small reception. I figured it was a long stretch since it was NYE. I chatted with Erica and she was able to make it work! Her and Dax were SUPER accommodating and very welcoming when we got there. The room was set and ready when we got there. Thank you for being a part of our big day! We had the best time and were super thankful to have a place that our families could gather on such short notice.

J Sweat: Been going here for awhile. A place I found connection after coming out in my forties. Very disappointed this wkd. The bartender, older guy from day shift had a chip on his shoulder, and he decided he was going to make sure we didn't have a good night. We just stopped in for a drink. I asked for popcorn, and he said, "were out" and walked away. (Clearly they werent, btw you may all think we did something to provoke this guy but believe me all we did was order a drink. Later, he came over and made me move my ankle as he literally moved it off the bench when I turned in the booth, which I have done for years. He then came back said " the big boss wants your calf off the bench too," and he proceeded to move my leg physically with his hand without consent. I had come from my daughter's college graduation party, I was dressed nicely. It was not raining or snowing. I wasn't standing on the bench. I didn't even have my leg bent with the bottom of my shoe on the bench to begin with. It was all a little wierd.Needless to say. We felt unwelcome he was unkind, rude, and not the bartenders we normally expect there. We now have no bars as a 50 yr old couple left to go to when we are in GR from Lansing. GoodBye apt lounge. Nice knowing you.

Easy to get a drink which was not the case when I went to Rumors.Wish The Apartment Lounge would expand and open a dance club with a more manly vibe as Rumors is not much of a Gay Bar anymore as lots of straight people and women go there and it becomes too crowded and the crowd starts to get sloppy on the dance floor as the night wears on.Be nice to have a dance club in Grand Rapids where the Gay guys could be in the majority so it's not so hard to figure out who is Gay and who isn't.
Star Boygr: The owner likes to play favorites to the cute boys or people he knows ! is that how to run a business ? If the table says for 6 people then save for 6 people . just because you have 2 pretty boys comes in you let them sit at a table where you have a sign for 6 guest or lets people sit there if they are his friends!

Amberly Marckini: Pretty good vibe. Not the best parking opportunities in the area. Refreshingly different. Cozy. Good prices. Free popcorn (but don't plan on a real meal because that is all the food they provide) There is a long bar and a row of booths lining the opposite wall that were all very full as overall there wasn't that much seating available so plan accordingly! I wouldn't personally go back, but if you're in the area and want an inclusive place to simply chill with a drink this may be the place for you.
A “The Administrator” H: This is a great queer friendly local bar. I hate how dark it is inside but they have outdoor seating which is lovely. It also doesn't ever feel crowded even when it's busy. They also have non-gendered bathrooms which I think is great! I also really liked the bartender's there. They were very attentive and friendly. They also give you free popcorn 😁 They don't really offer much for food other than that though, so don't come here hungry!
