Now it has evolved into an arena of judge mental, careless, and disgusting humans who have no regards for the safety and concern of their customers. I have had countless friends get drugged, assaulted, and harassed at this establishment with absolutely no acknowledgement from their staff. No response is a response. I’m absolutely heartbroken to not call this place my safe space anymore. You’d think a note able place like this would at least comment on numerous allegations or offer some aid to those who have suffered. But nothing. It’s a shame….

Richard Claycomb: Fun, pretty much well mannered crowd. Good DJ, with a current music playlist.Only reason I couldn't give 5 stars was I couldn't get a drink at the first floor bar. Waited 10 minutes behind two people and finally gave up. Didn't feel like it at that point to go upstairs to see if I could get a drink from that bar.I left the club because I was thirsty. I would have stayed longer and danced more and bought more drinks if there was a way to get them from the bar on the first floor.They need to put on more bartenders at the first floor bar and hopefully pool the tips so all the customers can be served without people walking away. Cuts into the club profits when you can't buy a drink and the bartenders lose money because if you can't get a drink, you don't leave a tip.I think there should also be a retro 1970's-1980's Disco Music one night each week. That would pull in more of the older Gay crowd who live in the Grand Rapids area and perhaps some of the older Gay summer residents of the Lake Michigan resort communities.

But now Rumors is 18+ ONLY on Sunday and Tuesday. AND on Sunday it costs twice as much for 18-20 year old cover as 21+ cover! Rumors used to be the coming of age place in MI, but now it’s full of Straight™️ Customers and is no longer open to LGBTQ+ young adults that just want to dance after working 10 hours as “essential”

Nicole: 10/10 for SPECTACULAR bartenders!! I was with a group of gals for a bachelorette party when we visited from out of town. We had a wonderful time dancing and laughing, but unfortunately I lost my wallet in the process and didn’t notice until the next day. I called during the afternoon and couldn’t believe that someone answered the phone. They had my wallet, safe and sound! I had anxiety all night about it, especially since we were traveling. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness!! You all are rock stars.

Then you pay a cover to get to the club itself so 2 covers alone and your allowed to just walk in. The music is stereotypical and EXTREMELY loud. Good luck having any form of conversation anywhere here. The bar is over priced and is almost always 4 people deep so youll be waiting 15-20mins for a drink anyway. I seriously dont know how this continues to stay in business. If it wasnt for 21 year olds it wouldnt.

John John: The Eve has some great things about it and some very poor. The bartenders and wait staff do a great job. The security also does a good job but some of them could spend less time flirting with girls and more time making sure problems are taken care of. The atmosphere is decent but should be darker to have the night club vibe and it shouldn’t be freezing in there when you walk in. The dress code could be much stricter. If it was I believe you would have better clientele with less problems. Half of the people up there don’t look like they are going to a club. The line to get stamped has been a joke. They don’t start stamping until 30 minutes prior to Eve opening which creates a massive line in the main walkway of the building. It was a lot better pre covid when they started stamping earlier. The music they play is the real disappointment here. Friday night is DJ Kane who mostly plays a lot of older pop. Most of his playlist is 2005 to 2015. Saturday night when Mark is there it is better but could still add some more recent top 40 R&B. There is so much great music between 2015-2021 it would be great to hear more of it. Could you please put the correct entertainment on your website it is disappointing when you believe you are paying for certain entertainment and it’s someone else. Along with this if you go on the website after 5:00 it’s already updated to the next day. How do I know what is going on that night ? Overall the Eve is an ok place to go. If they adjusted there lighting, music, temperature, dress code and stamp line it could be great. But if you want a nightclub it’s the only one in downtown GR.

Jackson Baldwin: For EDM shows, the sound system could use more bass. Other than that, it's a great venue. Brings in a lot of artists who are too big for the Stashe but too small for the main room. The crowd that it attracts is awesome. A lot of nice people, unlike Elektricity that attracts a lot of brosefs trying to start fights. My only other issue is security. They do a great job of keeping the crowd safe, the women safe, and minors from drinking. I'll give them that. But the security here can be aggressive at times. I was once accused of being on a drug which I was not on, and he was really aggressive about it. I tried telling him I wasn't on it, but he wouldn't believe me. He still let me in, which made no sense. Why give someone a hard time about being on a drug (which they weren't even on) but still let them in? If I were actually on that drug, he would have accomplished nothing. Also, at a different show, I was in line, and the people in front of us were all dressed up in rave clothing. The same security guy asked them condescendingly if they had any drugs in their pockets, then started to pat them down. My group was wearing more everyday clothing, and he didn't do that to us. That's just straight up profiling if I've ever seen it.Overall, good venue, good crowd. Could use more bass, as well as security that's not on a power trip to find people using drugs.

But, it's not a trashy one, either.I've visited this club a few times, and I normally take friends and occasionally dates here. I can't say I've ever had a bad time/experience during any of my stopovers. The cover charge is very low, and in a given night, I can get away with spending $50 max. I would highly advise against using a card in this or any similar establishments for obvious reasons. Remember, in a strip club, cash will always be king.From what I've witnessed, the staff seem very friendly, but do not tolerate idiocy. As long as you are amiable, follow the rules, and are courteous of them, then they will be respectful of you. The bouncer in particular was very polite when going through the ID process.The club is rather small, but still has a lot to offer. There is seating at the bar, and in the form of round tables surrounding the stage. It's darkly lit, with the majority of its spot lights aimed at the stage and pool table. The stage consists of the main floor near the back center of the room, and the walk-way that extends towards the middle.The dancers that I have spoken too are very fun. Often times, I will ask them questions while receiving a dance, and they're more than happy to oblige me with answers. One piece of advice that I received from a girl was that she uses Coco-butter to keep her skin soft (something I have started doing upon her recommendation). A lot of them are pretty well versed on the pole, while others admit to not even touching it during their routines. I particularly enjoy their many different outfits.One of their special offers for bachelor parties, is that the soon to be groom will receive a three-way lap dance on the center stage. I thought this was extremely hilarious to watch, but I imagine the guy enjoyed his time in the hot seat nonetheless.This place isn't fancy, but for what it is, it's pretty alright in my books. I've yet to have anything negative to say, and if strip clubs are your thing, I would definitely recommend Parkway tropics to you.

Original Thought: Mulligan’s is a fun place. They have fair prices and a friendly staff. They had live music in the back room and I was surprised. There is billiard tables and plenty of seating. It’s a very quant pub and I would recommend to stop in at least one.

Bill Anderson Jr: I found bartenders to be incredibly rude. I came in and waited at the bar for almost 10 minutes before anyone even addressed me. As I was having my drink I was mocked by one of the bartenders and the rest of them laughed and continued to avoid me as I was trying to get my check and leave. In that time, a song that paid for on the jukebox came on and they all mocked me again and skipped the song. I have never felt so uncomfortable or unwelcome in a bar in my life. I will never be stepping foot inside this bar again.

It might not be much but the people I've met and befriended and the memories ive made have made it like a second home to me. Dont let Nick Culver discourage you from checking it out. We are a rowdy and colorful bunch but we are welcoming!

I have been to many great dive bars throughout the country and this takes the cake for the saddest purgatory of agony I've ever seen. Everyone looks like they want to die. People try to scam. People brag about their alcoholic lifestyle and shame you if your lifestyle doesn't match theirs. It's sad really. This bar will make you feel cursed. Bartenders would rather patronize with the 30+ year regulars than actually serve anyone. I'd rather have a wet sock used by a homeless dog gagging me than ever step foot in here again. May God have mercy on your soul.
