Grand Rapids Buddhist Temple: what do users think?
jim: Three Buddha ar least , none of them was real
Joel B: It's a great place to meditate and meet the sangha. They are welcoming and very nice people.Don't feel bad if you aren't exactly a monk or a nun, there is a large laity here. There are recovery meetings and classes to show you the path many seek.I couldn't really imagine a more open and accepting space in all of Grand Rapids. If you are just in a rut in life, or questioning your place in the world, this is one of the best places to go. I'm not saying you will discover all of the answers to life's questions here, but you will ne given the tools and a road map to answer those questions for yourself. If you have a loved one that has passed away there is a shrine where you are free to leave a small trinket or belonging of theirs for them to be remembered. There are seats for use during the service if mats make you uncomfortable for any reason. You must remove shoes upon entering and be wearing socks, but if you don't have any there are communal socks provided. The golden rule applies here, treat others the way you wish to be treated and please respect the space and rules provided for said space.
Ali the retro kid: While not a Buddhist myself, I am very happy to see Buddhism being practiced in Grand Rapids.

Dragon Delacroix: Very authentic atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff make this classic Temple a must-visit for any aspiring Buddhist, or anyone at all interested in their culture.
Jennifer: So welcoming and everyone is very willing to answer all of your questions. Even if you're not practicing Buddhism it's definitely something to experience more than once.
David Beighley: West Michigan's only English speaking Buddhist Temple. Extremely welcoming to all. Buddhist Recovery programs are offered throughout the week. Sunday services are wonderful complete with a Sangha School for children.
Katie Kelly: Great meetings
Candace LadyCandyland Moore: I love exploring all walks of life...this path is soo calming!
Allen Tomes: I don't know how to review a temple but I like this one
Circle C Trucking LLC: Totally love getting my zen on here

AM Yoga: what do users think?
Ellen Wood: These guys are the real deal- a Remarkable yoga studio whose teachers want every one to truly benefit from their classes; regardless of the level or age of their yogis. This 61 year old feels right at home here, and I really appreciate it 🌻
Rachel Gray: Amazing studio and amazing community!
Drew Simon: Words can't describe how amazing this studio is. Go here!
Ryan Hoger: Hidden gem of a yoga studio! I mainly did the vinyasa classes. The instructors taught at a good pace, and made a point to remember our names. The classes seemed to be pretty consistent from week to week, which was helpful for my work schedule. Kind of has an “urban east GR fitness mom” vibe inside. As a beginner, I felt that the vinyasa classes were a solid “intermediate” level… challenging, but not to the point where I felt I didn’t belong or couldn’t do it. I just finished the trial month, and I’m thinking I’ll probably come back to this place again.
Amber Wilcox: Visited on a recent trip to experience a yoga class. I was surprised at the donation based charity class which was for PRIDE month. The class was amazing, the staff was uber friendly, and I really enjoyed the facilities.
Julia Siladke: Clean facility, instructors are clear with great cues and appropriately challenging classes
Chris Leach: It always feels good to get your body moving. This is a great place to do it. They provide great staff and a very accepting atmosphere for people of all ages and abilities.
Michelle Diduch: Positive:Professionalism
Matthew New: Excellent visit and a great experience overall. Super friendly and helpful for some out-of-towners!
Jesse Safford: Nice space, friendly staff, and lots of different classes for all types.
Ryan Hyde: Love this place! Good vibe, great facilities, and awesome instructors. Highly recommend.
Rachel Dziabuda: Not my favorite studio. I've been practicing for over 10 years and have been to many studios and experienced many different styles of teaching. While I appreciate the energy each instructor brings, the flows (in the vinyasa/power/jAM classes) are simply way too fast to practice safe alignment and form, even for a seasoned yogi, and this class is advertised for all levels! I can't even imagine how a newer yogi would feel during those classes. The instructor also don't offer any hands-on assistance which really bums me out. Similar to Funky Buddha, they rarely use traditional Sanskrit language and clap after Savasana (seriously...why...?). It's basically the definition of white-women washed yoga. There are many other studios in GR that are truly geared towards all levels and honor the traditional practice, this is not one of them.
Tess Armstrong: I shopped around a few studios before landing here, and I am so grateful. I began with the Vinyasa-yin classes because I was looking for a yin or restorative practice to ease my way back into yoga after a long break. I love all the instructors, and their commitment to breath and body work. If you’re new to yoga, I recommend the vinyasa-yin classes because they’re smaller... but I love every class I have been to. I am constantly reminded to breathe, to try and remain present, to practice with grace, and to take what I need from the 60-90 minutes I am there. They also have kids yoga weekly during adult practice, and my kids love it too! Thanks AM!!!!!
Tiffany Clarke: This is my self care place!
Nicholas Reynolds: The studio is clean and devoid of clutter and distractions. The instructors and staff are friendly, courteous and professional. Their candor fosters a sense of trust. The classes are simultaneously challenging as well as accessible. I had never practiced yoga in my life and was able to comfortably immerse myself without feeling awkward or out of place.I highly recommend giving this studio a shot whether you are advanced or new to yoga.I always leave with a feeling of accomplishment, levity and a clear mind (as well as a limber and well honed body).
Vincent Riegler: CleanFriendlyCo-edThanks for the Help
Hannah McBride: Best yoga studio in West Michigan!!
Steph Ruhstorfer: Very challenging and balancing - love it.
Kate Duram: Super welcoming and a great and challenging flow. Really feel balanced and cleansed after a good vinyasa session
Kendra boomstra: Love this place and these people!!
Stephanie Scharnhorst: Great flow slwith super cool people!
