The Yoga Studio: what do users think?
Dr. Tyler Kinch: First time going and was very pleased with my experience. The time here is much more personable than your typical yoga class at a larger location. The knowledge and ability to explain the movements was evident from the instructors. I highly recommend.
Kathryn Kilpatrick: Great studio with a rope wall and excellent teachers that are committed to continued learning.
Jane Westbrook: This is the real deal. The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are able to make adjustments to the poses in order to accommodate the individual. Several are also trained physical therapists, which is a huge asset. This studio has been around for many years, and there's a good reason for that. Give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

AM Yoga: what do users think?
Ellen Wood: These guys are the real deal- a Remarkable yoga studio whose teachers want every one to truly benefit from their classes; regardless of the level or age of their yogis. This 61 year old feels right at home here, and I really appreciate it 🌻
Rachel Gray: Amazing studio and amazing community!
Drew Simon: Words can't describe how amazing this studio is. Go here!
Ryan Hoger: Hidden gem of a yoga studio! I mainly did the vinyasa classes. The instructors taught at a good pace, and made a point to remember our names. The classes seemed to be pretty consistent from week to week, which was helpful for my work schedule. Kind of has an “urban east GR fitness mom” vibe inside. As a beginner, I felt that the vinyasa classes were a solid “intermediate” level… challenging, but not to the point where I felt I didn’t belong or couldn’t do it. I just finished the trial month, and I’m thinking I’ll probably come back to this place again.
Amber Wilcox: Visited on a recent trip to experience a yoga class. I was surprised at the donation based charity class which was for PRIDE month. The class was amazing, the staff was uber friendly, and I really enjoyed the facilities.
Julia Siladke: Clean facility, instructors are clear with great cues and appropriately challenging classes
Chris Leach: It always feels good to get your body moving. This is a great place to do it. They provide great staff and a very accepting atmosphere for people of all ages and abilities.
Michelle Diduch: Positive:Professionalism
Matthew New: Excellent visit and a great experience overall. Super friendly and helpful for some out-of-towners!
Jesse Safford: Nice space, friendly staff, and lots of different classes for all types.
Ryan Hyde: Love this place! Good vibe, great facilities, and awesome instructors. Highly recommend.
Rachel Dziabuda: Not my favorite studio. I've been practicing for over 10 years and have been to many studios and experienced many different styles of teaching. While I appreciate the energy each instructor brings, the flows (in the vinyasa/power/jAM classes) are simply way too fast to practice safe alignment and form, even for a seasoned yogi, and this class is advertised for all levels! I can't even imagine how a newer yogi would feel during those classes. The instructor also don't offer any hands-on assistance which really bums me out. Similar to Funky Buddha, they rarely use traditional Sanskrit language and clap after Savasana (seriously...why...?). It's basically the definition of white-women washed yoga. There are many other studios in GR that are truly geared towards all levels and honor the traditional practice, this is not one of them.
Tess Armstrong: I shopped around a few studios before landing here, and I am so grateful. I began with the Vinyasa-yin classes because I was looking for a yin or restorative practice to ease my way back into yoga after a long break. I love all the instructors, and their commitment to breath and body work. If you’re new to yoga, I recommend the vinyasa-yin classes because they’re smaller... but I love every class I have been to. I am constantly reminded to breathe, to try and remain present, to practice with grace, and to take what I need from the 60-90 minutes I am there. They also have kids yoga weekly during adult practice, and my kids love it too! Thanks AM!!!!!
Tiffany Clarke: This is my self care place!
Nicholas Reynolds: The studio is clean and devoid of clutter and distractions. The instructors and staff are friendly, courteous and professional. Their candor fosters a sense of trust. The classes are simultaneously challenging as well as accessible. I had never practiced yoga in my life and was able to comfortably immerse myself without feeling awkward or out of place.I highly recommend giving this studio a shot whether you are advanced or new to yoga.I always leave with a feeling of accomplishment, levity and a clear mind (as well as a limber and well honed body).
Vincent Riegler: CleanFriendlyCo-edThanks for the Help
Hannah McBride: Best yoga studio in West Michigan!!
Steph Ruhstorfer: Very challenging and balancing - love it.
Kate Duram: Super welcoming and a great and challenging flow. Really feel balanced and cleansed after a good vinyasa session
Kendra boomstra: Love this place and these people!!
Stephanie Scharnhorst: Great flow slwith super cool people!

Kula Yoga GR: what do users think?
Meagen Russ: From the moment I stepped inside the door at Kula, I knew I was home. Megan, Danae, and their team are some of the most genuine and kind people I know. Not only do I benefit greatly from yin yoga, restorative yoga, and Yoga Nidra, but I also am enriched by joy of learning new things about myself. The atmosphere and space at Kula is absolutely magical! Add in sound bath healings, Aroma-restore and AromaYin and you have a recipe for a whole new you. Perhaps the greatest compliment I can offer is this. My husband of 30 years agreed to go with me to a restorative yoga class one time. I fully expected him to never go again, however I was thrilled to be wrong. He’s as addicted as I am and it is now our Sunday night date each week. Additionally, my son and his partner love attending whenever their schedules allow. Thank you, Kula team, for changing my life for the better and opening your beautiful space to us each week! You are pure magic!
Laura Sciepura: I want to thank Kula for being such an amazing experience for me this year! I love coming to my mat and enjoy every class I take. If you are looking for a great Yoga Community this is the place! Cheers to Kula!
McCoy Khamphouy: My wife and I have been going for a few weeks now, and it's been a great experience for us! The instructors are patient and welcoming, the studio spaces are a comfortable size, and the practice feels authentic. We were drawn to Kula's philosophy as well as the team's commitment to inclusiveness, high-minded values, and honoring the origins of the practice. Highly recommend Kula for anyone, whether you've been practicing for some time or looking to try it for the first time.
Danielle Raab: I knew from my first class that this was my new Yoga home. I had planned to try out all various studios around Grand Rapids but I don't need to do that anymore. The first class I took was Satya Sound Yoga, which was so cool and unique. The studio is beautiful, inside and outside in the driveway and garden. All the teachers have been wonderful and knowledgeable. I love it here!
Anne Jetzer: My sister, Mary G, and I attended the Kula Yoga Retreat just this past weekend. An absolutely amazing experience!!! First, the setting… private, peaceful, pastoral. Sun, shade, nature. A pond & a creek. Rescue farm ducks. A walk through meadows with goats. A nighttime sound bath. Several different types of yoga classes were offered. Nourishing & delicious meals & snacks. Movie night with decadent candy. Bonfire chats. A riverside picnic with brews. Goat yoga. Chill campmates to share the experience with. Meditation. Every detail thoughtfully arranged by Megan & Danea. We returned refreshed, renewed, repurposed. The retreat far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this studio & any events they offer. 6 stars out of 5
Hannah Hagood: First time going, I absolutely loved it and I will be back!!!
Julia Siladke: Love the vibe and the studio. Buti classes are something different and expansive
Allison Brawley: Such a beautiful light and airy space to practice yoga. Kathleen's slow flow is an amazing class - lovely pace, calming voice and great hands-on assists.
Nikki: I was trying a new studio and had never been here. My car was having trouble starting the day of the class and I got there right at 9:00am and the door was locked. I understand not wanting people to interrupt classes but there’s no way to cancel a class on the app. It tells you to call the studio which has no phone number. I emailed them and they basically shamed me for being late and not reading their policies. They also said I should have cancelled the class on the app and I told them the app doesn’t allow you. They didn’t bother to respond to that but they did sign me up for their email subscription without asking instead. I didn’t think to check their policies because I didn’t plan on my car not starting or them to be so strict. They don’t offer any credit for missing a class or refunds. So if something happens you’re just out the money. Not very inviting for new customers.
Kyle Burkey: A very nice studio and a fulfilling experience.
Rosita Gonzalez: Kula Yoga Studio is a hidden gem! The instructors are so welcoming, professional and very experienced. After my first class, I knew I found THE place for me! I am so grateful I found Kula, a place you can come as you are and can count on leaving in a more relaxed and grounded state. I commend the entire Kula staff for making this place truly special and creating such a sacred space and energy so supportive to all no matter where you are on your yoga practice. I especially love their gentle assist touch and those popular special event classes. I highly recommend this yoga studio for those looking to truly experience the essence of Yoga and community. Namaste
Patrick Stoffel: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityDefinitely one of the most inclusive yoga studios in town! Amazing energy and environment to practice in.
Beth Thompson: There is not enough space to write all the great things about Kula! I had gotten turned off by all the pretentiousness I was encountering with yoga people and the studios I was trying. Then I met Megan Rader (owner) and tried Kula...It's completely aligned with everything I though yoga was supposed to be. Open, inclusive, connecting and a community that is supportive and most of all kind. The genuine authenticity of the community spoke volumes to me about Kula. If you are looking for a space that is safe, non judgmental and where you can explore what yoga means to you THIS IS IT!!
Katlin Davis: I intended to write a review about Kula years ago and just never did! I’ve been attending Kula for the past 4 years. I’ve never experienced a yoga community that is so inviting all while providing a high quality yoga experience. From day one of buying a membership, the owner Megan introduced me to the yoga instructors and was so warm and welcoming. I love that the Kula team and community welcomes all yogis regardless of their level of experience.I also love that Kula has more strict expectations for timely attendance. Yogis must arrive to class on time- which ultimately avoids late comers interrupting class and interrupting others yoga experience. One thing that is SO special about Kula is the instructors typically remember you after only attending one or two classes! They are so intentional about getting to know you and helping you grow in your yoga practice.Do yourself a favor and join Kula! You wont regret it!
Taylor Pietrasik: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityLove having Kula in my neighborhood!
Frederick Jackson: I reluctantly tried yoga after years wondering if this is something I would be interested in, or could even do. Everyone at Kula was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. A perfect flow from the minute you walk in the front door. Highly recommended for any yoga newbie and this place clearly has a following for the more advance yoga folks.
Yuliya: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Caroline Wiersma: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityKula Yoga is welcoming, inclusive, and inviting. I’ve had amazing practices every time I go. Beautiful studio and beautiful people that run it! All the stars for this great place.
Kimberly Vincent: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityKind, inclusive, and impactful studio. A place you’ll always leave feeling happier, a little sore!, and with a few new friends. Best studio in town.
Jessica Barr: Kula is home to some of the most challenging and rewarding yoga classes I've ever taken. I always leave class feeling grounded and renewed. The teachers are superb - they have a deep knowledge of yoga and its roots - and it shows in each class I take.Beyond the physical workout, I have become more in touch with my spiritual self since I began coming to Kula. I am beyond grateful for the tools I have learned here that I carry with me at all times - meditation, breathwork, and mind-body connection.Thank you Megan and the Kula team for creating a beautiful community for us yogis.
Chelsea Scally: Megan is a wonderful yoga teacher who brings spirituality and connection back to yoga. Grand Rapids is lucky to have her.

Cascade Yoga Studio: what do users think?
Robyn Smith: All of the instructors at cascade are so kind and helpful. They gave me alternate movements for my wrist issues; I was able to do multiple downward dogs in a row without pain! That’s the first time in years. The studio is cozy and intentional with creating a meditative, mindful space. The classes aren’t full so you have room to spread out a bit.All of the people I’ve met who go here are wonderful. There’s a range of ages and practice levels, but I never feel intimidated being a newbie.
Katie Minks: This is the place to practice yoga! CYS It is a well known yet hidden gem in the community. The teachers and offerings are unique and accessible for everyone. The studio is a warm, cozy, relaxed and wonderful place to tuck in.
Kathy Anderson: I have been doing yoga for many years and consider Cascade Yoga my home studio. The teachers are fantastic. They are all very knowledgeable and highly trained. The space is warm and inviting. The classes are not packed so if you desire individualized attention, the teacher is able to give it. Cascade Yoga is what I would consider a traditional yoga studio, steeped in knowledge and yoga philosophy. There are a range of classes to choose from - not hot yoga, though. It's a bit tricky to find, however. It is east of Forest Hills Foods on Cascade Road in the Cascade Trails office park, just beyond the Apple Tree daycare center. It is in the lower level of 5060 Cascade Road. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Krissy Wykeham: All of the teachers at Cascade Yoga Studio are knowledgable about yoga and they all have their own unique ways of presenting their information. They are kind and respectful and it is very obvious that they are passionate about what they do. You are in good hands when you practice/study at CYS.

The Grand Rapids Yoga Company: what do users think?
Katherine “Katy” McGarity: I attended my first sound bath ever with Kate. It exceeded my expectations. I was relaxed to a point that my mind traveled to my favorite place, I could even feel the warmth of the sunshine in my face. I went home and slept better than I had in months. I highly recommended this experience and checking her studio out.

Kate is an amazing human and really makes you forget there is a real world of stress outside the doors. I have participated in a yoga classes as well as sound baths. I am a beginner when it comes to yoga. The way Kate explains positive thoughts and movements anyone can follow. If you’ve never been to a sound bath now is the time to see what you’ve been missing! I have t slept so good in weeks! I can’t wait to the next event!

Mardy Cutrara: I started doing personal classes with Kate almost a year ago. I have had several knee surgeries, sciatica issues, back pain, obese and a lot of trouble moving. Within two months of one week classes my sciatica issue was non existent. I no longer have to see a chiropractor, I don't have to use the handicapped toilet, I can get up off the ground with very little effort. I've been able to workout and lose weight without being in pain. The private classes are very flexible and affordable and have been lifesaving. I even went to the beach and was able to get up off the sand. I highly recommend Kate to anyone
Ryan Dodger: This is an excellent spot in town to participate in yoga classes and more, as well as a great space to host small events. Community spaces like this are hard to come by and I'm very thankful we have this in Grand Rapids.
Chrissy Heyne: Awesome studio - the addition of the sound bowls made is such a unique and special experience! I will definitely be back!
J. S. Lendrum: GRYC is a gem of an inclusive and welcoming space. The classes and instructors are body-positive and run the gamut with cannabis-infused classes, chakra sessions, and off-site moonlit hikes.
jeremy rusilowski: Always a pleasant time spent with The Grand Rapids Yoga Company.Low pressure and generally smaller class sizes make for a more intimate experience 💪
Liz: Kate is so down to earth and knowledgeable. I love her approach to making yoga and all of her events accessible to all bodies! The sound baths are AMAZING!
morganr4: Kate is hands down the best meditational yoga instructor around. Her classes and private sessions are very affordable, plus she is cannabis friendly! Slow flow yoga is more my style, so this is the perfect studio, her guided meditations are therapeutic. Go expecting to get a good stretch, leave with a profound realization about yourself. Thank you Kate, for the passion and healing you bring to each session!

Twisted Hot Yoga Knapp's Corner: what do users think?
Devina McBride: The studio is welcoming and has many great class options. The instructors care about the practice, are willing to answer questions and help, and the music playlists are perfect. I truly cannot say anything bad about Twisted and have enjoyed being a member!
Cailin Kelly: I love the variety of class offerings, including the Flex class which is a mix of yoga and strength training with weights and bands, and some cardio built in. I love the Chill and Bliss sessions where you hold poses for long periods, to get that deep stretch. And the traditional vinyasa yoga classes are of course great. The instructors are excellent, and super helpful. Plus you get a little cold lavender towel at the end of each class which is dish sweet relief at the end of a sweaty session.
Nancy Thelen: Love the friendliness of the staff and the cool lavender towel at the end of class.#twistedhotyoga
Nicole Minerick: I love this place!! I have tried out all the hot yoga studios in town and nothing compares, instructors and studio are amazing! Just bought my membership :) #twistedhotyoga
Jessica Karnack: Took a class with Cashel. She started soft and talked about the ego giving us something to observe and explore during our practice and then worked the body physically with an amazing flow and ended with a great cool down and the lavender towel! Best part I will definitely be back. Clean space, good location, cute retail space, nice spacious studio and friendly front desk staff.
Kristina Colby: I’ve been coming to Twisted several times a week for a few months. I started with the 30-day trial and was so hooked, I signed up for a full year! I love the instructors and the abundance of class times and styles offered. There’s plenty of parking outside. The studio is clean! And the cool lavender towel for savasana is heavenly. The studio isn’t very large, but the class sizes are usually light enough that there’s plenty of space around you. Morning classes tend to be less crowded than evening ones. But I think it just depends on the day.
Brittany Gervais: I absolutely love Twisted. It's become my happy place and sanctuary. I attend class 5-6 days a week and it's become a daily rest for both my mental and physical state. I strongly recommend Twisted Hot Yoga for all yogis and anyone interested in dipping their toes into yoga. 💙
Nicole Neuman: I have learned so much from the amazing teachers at Twisted! My practice has improved so much over the last few years due to the variety of classes and non-judgmental atmosphere. Special shout-out to Cashel’s hip hop heat class and Krista’s flex for the constant reminders that I can do hard things. :)
Katie Zerkle: My fav yoga spot! Love the variety of classes & instructors
Julia Grupa: I have fallen in love with yoga here! The flex classes are my favorite, a mix of weights makes it a great workout, wish there were more of them throughout the week. Overall I enjoy getting my workout in here. There a many different class and membership options.
Gabrielle Temple: Such a great studio with very obviously dedicated teachers, an uplifting environment and strong community feeling, three different locations so I feel like there’s always the type of class I’m looking for available. Would definitely recommend.
Cassidy Cupery: The yoga is great but the pricing is very high. I also signed up for a “special” thinking I was getting a discount butttt turns out it was actually $600 for 6 months and if you wanted to cancel a $200 fee! Yikes, serves me right for not reading the finer print but I find a $200 cancelation STEEEEEPP!
Kyunghee Kim: I came back to yoga practice because of my sciatic nerve pain. Hot yoga practice definitely helped my pain gone and now yoga is my daily routine. Twisted is the best Hot Yoga place in town.
Sarah Gorkowski: I love Twisted! First of all the staff is so sweet and amazing, the instructors know most of the members by name and I always feel so welcome and comfortable before class! Everything I’ve purchased from the studio has been fantastic quality! And with three studios and both morning and night classes I feel like I can make it to class any day of the week I want!
Colleen Brouillette: Twisted is amazing! When I started, I hadn’t taken classes consistently in years. The teachers are supper personable and welcoming to all levels. Love them and love Twisted Hot Yoga.
Patrick Lickiss: Twisted yoga has been a great studio to practice at! The instructors are welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. The classes cater to a wide range of abilities and it feels like there’s always a class available.
Lindsay Bilotti: No amount of therapy, medication, wine, or sleep gives me this release . Sweat out all the stress and easily can modify post c section. No judgement zone 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
james sherwin: ABSOLUTELY THE GREATEST.
AMR: Twisted Hot Yoga is just the best hot yoga studio around! The instructors are so knowledgeable and creative with their flows. It's never the same! The atmosphere of the studio is friendly and welcoming. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned yogi, you feel no competition or judgement.
ellen lenhart: Wide variety of classes with unique and authentic instructors! Every class offers an incredible opportunity to slow or grow your practice.
Lenox Napolitan: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismI love the verity of classes and locations within the Grand Rapids area. I joined Twisted shortly after restrictions lifted from covid. I really appreciate how clean the facilities are and the amount of space each yoga room provides. I’ve taken classes with a variety of instructors and they are all phenomenal!

If you are thinking of trying yoga for the first time or you have experience and just want a local place to practice FlipDog Yoga is for you.I had tried yoga a small handful of times before coming to FlipDog but never made it a regular thing. After meeting Nick at a community garden event I decided to give FlipDog a try and now I've managed to develop a consistent habit of attending once a week. The instruction is clear, helpful, and there are always options if a particular pose doesn't work with my body.Highly recommended!!!!

Carol Carr: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI was looking for a yoga studio in my neighborhood that was a place for real people. I don't want to feel like I have to get the fancy gear or be dressed up to go to yoga! This is a great little studio for all levels and people. Good variety of classes and easy to schedule. Definitely recommend!
Beth Caldwell: Flip Dog Yoga is a truly inclusive space to explore what your body is capable of and find some serious calm. The instructors are open-minded, challenging and gentle. This place warms my soul through relaxation, simplicity, and heated floors!!
Heather Gannon: Flip dog has a great vibe. Open to all levels, FDY has very caring, mindful instructors. As the owner Nick says, “There are no wrong answers in yoga.” Cool yoga spot that I highly recommend! :)
Wendy Wetzel: I'm new to yoga but loving it thanks to the Yoga 101 class, low-pressure instruction, and welcoming vibe at Flip Dog!
Jessie Vought: Flip Dog is a great addition to the Creston neighborhood. Good deals on intro packages and heated floors! The teachers create a welcoming atmosphere. They do a good job at differentiating poses, making classes accessible to newbies and a challenge for others. Highly recommend!
Emily L: Great intro deals to get a feel for different instructors and class times. Heated floors, but not hot yoga. Appropriately challenging for beginners or those with more experience. Always easy to find street or public lot parking, and tons of cute shops to check out in this up and coming neighborhood!
