Chelsea Kirby: This is the preferred Field’s Fabrics location. Customer service is great, they have an excellent selection and often times have things in the outlet building at great prices, that are still retail price at other Field’s locations. We went to three of the ones in the area when my mom was in town today, we picked up a beautiful fabric from the outlet building for $2.37/yard. At the Jenison location we saw the same fabric for $4.97/yard. Check out the outlet building first! Well worth it!
Charles Tisron: Needed a 2x2 foot 4 inch thick foam rubber piece for my aging dogs bed. The woman that helped me was quick efficient really nice. I was shocked at how much foam rubber costs. But she told me right away that it was a lot more expensive than people realized. But my dog deserves a comfortable bed and the stuffing that was in the Kong brand bed got all mashed to the side. Dexter my 100 lb. yellow lab is happy, so I'm happy

Sherry Rainer: I've shopped at Fields for 25 years and today may have been my last visit. When I entered the store at 5:15 I was immediately told by the two customer service women who were just standing around (obviously waiting to leave) that I only had 15 minutes to get what I needed. Now, it's not like it's a restaurant where I was showing up expecting to have a 2 hour sit down meal. They made it obvious that their main goal was to get out of there at 5:30,(Which one of them even said to me).They did help me and worked together to get me what I needed and I left at 5:28, but the atmosphere was uncomfortable and very off-putting from a customer's perspective. I felt like I was just an intrusion that was getting in their way. I've worked retail for many years and would never treat someone like that, even if it meant I would stay after work a few minutes to help them. If you're open until 5:30, that means a customer can walk in at 5:29 and expect to be helped. Please teach your staff to be nicer to people when they come in. If I'm unreasonable, let me know and I will respond accordingly.

Lauren DePree Andersh: This is one of my usual Field's locations, mostly because it's convenient for me. It is a good store! There is SO much fabric, so much to choose from. Usually it's great, sometimes a bit overwhelming. You definitely have to dig a bit more for what you're looking for, but they really have a lot of beautiful stuff!This location does seem to be busy most times I stop in. Somedays that means a little less help or waiting a bit to check out, but that being said, I've never not had good customer service!

He asked two workers that were in the area for help finding the correct color, which he was looking for for my mom. They were so rude. One pointed both fingers to her eyes and said, "you have to use your eyes and your brain (pointed to her head) to figure out which is the right color for you." Needless to say, my dad did not purchase anything from here after being treated like that, after driving an hour to get there. People like that should not be working in the public. So rude and disgusting.

Selena Efting: Brought my serger and sewing machine in for service. They were working fine, just heavy use and I want them to stay I. Good shape. When I got them back home, they worked great. Sewing felt really smooth and I’m very happy with the service I received.

They have the newest, cutest fabrics and have completely won me away from big box store wovens. I'm now Ruby Star Society and Rifle Paper Co obsessed. Sandra Raak: Smith Owen does a great job at maintenance and cleaning for sewing machines. Their prices are reasonable. I purchased a Pfaff machine in 2021 and I have it serviced here. They took great care of it and continues to work in impecable condition. The people who work there are very knowledgeable and willing to help out answering questions.

Celebrating LYS Day was a lot of fun, I was welcomed by the friendly staff including a hug from the owner Becca and it was exciting to see so many people supporting the debut of her new pattern Tiny Textures!
Ellen Schendel: Love to visit this shop, which has so many yarn options (texture, brand, weight, color) and oodles of finished projects to give you an idea of how the various fibers knit up. Threadbender offers creative classes, friendly service, fun events, and gorgeous original patterns & hand-dyed yarns. A definite “must visit” if in the Grand Rapids area!
Sara Rapp: While I’ve only been in the shop a handful of times.. Two maybe, some beautiful yarn caught my eye back in March. I’m originally from the north side of town but I live on a military base in another state so finding really, REALLY good local yarn shops is few and far between. I was able to make an order online and they shipped fast. While I would have loved to shop in-store, I was surprised they shipped!! Very friendly service and I hope to actually visit the store when I come back home in the Fall!!

Though I am an avid crocheter, I was a little hesitant with what I would need as I am about to begin a new type of crochet project for me, and now, I can't wait to get started with my beautiful new Nazli Gelin crochet thread!

They have decorator fabrics, 100 % cottons, bolts and bolts of fleece, apparel fabric, flannel, trims, and notions galore. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. In my opinion, their quality and selection is superior to the large fabric and craft store.

Judy: My Daughter and I came up to visit Hennys and JT Stitchery last Saturday, and both yarn shops were closed for the Holiday weekend. Coming from south of Kalamazoo, we both checked Facebook, email messages, and Instagram with no notice the Caledonia or Rockford shops would be closed before we left. I also called and both stores left no messages of closure. I can no longer trust google either, because BOTH shops were supposed to be OPEN........😕 Even Plainwell Ice Cream was closed until 2pm. Going south to our 🏡 home - that was too late. We struck out with yarn and ice cream that day, however, it was a beautiful day for a mitten road trip with my daughter!!😍 We will return because this gal will be a Grammy for the first time this NOVEMBER!👶👵😘
