Randy Peterson: I called when the replacement for the Grand Valley Advance (an advertising section of the Grand Rapids Press) stopped being delivered. I called Mlive about the issue and they gave me two different phone numbers, one a recording asking for money for a pre-paid calling account and the other number disconnected. Mlive's help in this delivery matter is less than useless. They blocked my home phone number so I couldn't call them back after they gave me the first bogus number. Then I called on my cell phone and they gave me the second bogus number. Mlive is a scam.
Gail Cigler: Critical:ResponsivenessOrdered paper on a Tuesday to be delivered Sunday. No paper by 9:30am. Neighbors all got theirs. Called and responded to recording. 11:25 still no paper. Dry poor service. Especially for a new customer.

Kim Vandergalien: Got an email with a deal on Thursday and Sunday delivery. Called to order. First guy screwed up an never placed order. Called again. Second guy got it ordered and the Thanksgiving paper delivered by special request since first guy screwed up. Got Sunday paper just fine. Then the second Thursday paper (11/29) never came. Tried to call and got automated system that said they could not deliver me the paper and to call back tomorrow (11/39). This is why I cancelled two years ago. The service stinks and it's hard to get a hold of anyone. Looks like I'll be cancelling again already. Will NOT recommend The Press to anyone.

Sunday October 14, 2018 for example. I got 2 sections of paper along with ads. No o e cares. I pay for this service. No wonder people cancel delivery

The automated line said it will be replaced, however, if it is not here in 20 minutes it does them no good. This is why I dropped subscription the first time.

Kathie MacCallum: I was a paper carrier for over 2 years until yesterday. I was forced out because another carrier threaten me. Management didn't speak to anyone who witness it or myself. I'm white and the other person isn't. Most paper carrier's are white. Please really think about becoming paper carrier. It's not worth the 25 cents a paper.

I’ve been a loyal customer for many years and this is the way I get treated !

I finally answered and it was an automated system that said I was being transferred to an agent. The the woman who answered said that she was calling because the payment was late."First off, who are you and what payment is late?" Do companies not train employees to be courteous and communicate with the people they are calling? Commonsense is so not common anymore!Also, why is the GRAND RAPIDS Press calling customers from an unidentified number and not leaving a voicemail? The name on the caller ID should be the name of the company, especially if the call is an automated call to begin with and then transferred to an agent.Also, I went to try and log into the website to check the status on payments and there is nowhere to log into an account to make payment. How is someone supposed to renew if there is not a simple way to access the portal to log in and pay?Please do better GR Press ... you wonder why the paper is fading away to all digital .... your company is just not what it used to be, apparently!

Jerry Bays: After the latest price increase I called on 7/15 to cancel my subscription. On 7/22 they charged my account. Called only to find out customer service never cancelled. To add insult they charged me for the 7/21 paper that they were not supposed to deliver.

Spartan Nation: I've been a subscriber to the press for 20 plus years and have finally had enough. They are constantly trying to raise my bill and I'm sick of it. The customer service is also terrible. I called the last billing cycle and complained about my dramatic rate increase. The customer service lady assured me that my bill would be set back to what I was currently paying for the next year. Well low and behold, I just got my next bill and they increased it back to the amount I just complained about. I'm shouldn't have to call again do I'm done with the press.
barry hunefeld: Very poor customer service in circulation. Unreliable delivery. Sometimes shows up, sometime does not. Trying to reach a live human on the phone in circulation is nearly impossible.
Marc “K8MH” In Michigan: Got a notice that if I do nothing my bill will increase, so I called. They offered a price in the middle of what I was paying and what they offered if I did nothing. Next bill, I got the price for doing nothing, plenty of time to make the adjustment, which the person on the phone said was implemented. I am now canceling my subscription. Another rag paper going down the tubes. I gave it two stars because my local delivery guy is prompt. I might add paying more than double the price listed on the paper (price at the store) is outrageous for delivery.
